  1. Grizzlies defensive strategy had always sucked. Please watch the Rockets defensive scheme. Play a 3-2 like zone man to man, where the bigs stay close down low and hardly have to switch with offensive players staying out in the perimeter. The 3 perimeter players stays out running around guarding the 3s. If they score on our bigs then so be it. Do not go under screens and chase those players from behind.

  2. Honestly just start getting technical fouls over and over again if thats what it takes to stop teams from shooting 3's, we are fucking cursed

  3. The problem is Jaren with always being in foul trouble. Since the all star break he has not been good. Edey and Jaren were bad last night.Jaylen Wells being out hurt as well.

  4. I don’t know how they’re supposed to play defense. Every time they breathe on Anthony Edwards, it’s a foul. But the opposing teams can do whatever they want to Ja Morant and rarely get called for fouls.

  5. It was an absolutely gut-wrenching watch last night. Combined with van gundy on the call, I might call out from work today.

  6. Too many "My Bad" moments from Ja early in the 3rd quarter when the tide turned. Early clock 3 point shooting, turnovers, other players not fighting for loose ball. Jaren again failed to stay on court because of weak mentality. He never plays well in big moments. Jaren is regressing as soon as team went back to old scheme on offense. His offensive numbers are down again, fouling is up again and he is relying again more on 3 point shot. So, scheme where he is not featured is making him go back to old habits. Jaren is not fixable. This is who he is going to be a player and thus not a winning player. Giving him max means hampering this team long term

you are right, these defensive issues are some bad habits, some lack of effort, and lack of instincts for defense. Lack of good supporting cast or poor defensive efforts is what led prime Lillard/McCollum or Beal/Walls led teams to not stay on top for many seasons. So, if Grizzlies fans think that Bane/Morant led team can win it all, we have example of why a good support cast and defense is equally important to get to top and stay on top.

  7. Jaren Jackson Jr so weak bruh. Mane always get in foul trouble in big games and is usually outplayed and out hustled by his matchup.

  8. The only effort Ja gives on defense is to let you go by and try to slap at the ball. Jaren is good when he mans up 1 on 1 but this mane picks up so many dumb fouls trying to be Superman helping out. Scotty pippen (and jaylen wells too) pick up the DUMBEST fouls trying to guard up

  9. Ove been pn the Santo bandwagon for a while but its time to move on. Hes talented but hes 7'0 tall for no reason and Vince is a shell pf himself. Move them both with some draft capital amd go get a veteran wing. Preferably one with championship game experience
