I keep hearing how the Lakers are top heavy and that the scoring stops with Austin Reaves and that the TWolves have depth. Is there really that drastic a difference between Nickeil Alexander Walker, Rudy Gobert, Jaden McDaniels and Jared Vanderbilt, Gabe Vincent, and Rui Hachimura? How many awful takes can Craig have in a 11 minute video? That last play of GSW was great. They are down by three and clips can just foul before they make a shot. It's hard to beat teams in the playoffs when everybody wants to see them play…does the average NBA fan want to see Minnesota eliminate the Lakers, and not see LeBron and Luka in the next round?
Does the NBA want to flush all those ratings they will lose down the toilet if the Lakers get eliminated in the first round?
Does the NBA care about the Timberwolves fan base more than it cares about the millions of extra dollars they will make because of increased ratings brought on by the Lakers, LeBron James and Luka Doncic advancing to the next round?
When is everybody going to finally wake up and realize the NBA is a multi-billion dollar corporation that only cares about maximizing profits. If the Lakers got eliminated in the first round, they would lose MILLIONS of dollars, because a LOT less people will watch. This is why I know the Lakers won't lose in the first two rounds of they playoffs, and probably not the WCF either…
Don't believe me? Just ask the 2001 Portland Trailblazers. Or the 2002 Sacramento Kings. Or the 2023 Cincinnati Bengals. Or the 2024 Houston Texans. Or the 2024 Buffalo Bills. All these teams lost because they were playing against the teams everybody wanted to see, and the leagues understood this, and used officiating to help their opponents win.
Nobody can beat the Lakers with Lebron, Luka, the officials, and the league giving them an unfair advantage because they draw the highest ratings.
The Wolves are about to learn this lesson…

Randle hasnt played like you are describing since 2 weeks before he got injured. Wolves are 22-4 in the last 26 games Randle has played in. Inbetween when he and donte were out there was a stretch they went like 5-8 i think it was. With Randle being a power forward point hub playmaker now it has opened up the offense a ton.
