At least the Knicks will have a team with better rest .. overall though I’ve not seen the Knicks ever match the run they played in January 2024 until Randle dislocated his shoulder and never returned . They’ve never matched that level since
Coach Thibs better be able to get N.Y. past Detroit or he might be on the unemployment line lol.
They probably sat tibs down and said if you don't rest the starters you're fired
I think you got to see more possibilities after this game that the fans blame the coach for. Certainly if Bridges needs a breather have we considered Brunson at SG with Hart at PG. And do we replace Hart and Brunson now seamlessly with Shamet and Payne.
Achiuwa is creative in the paint with untapped dunking ability yet we don't seem to play him with Kat taking full advantage of offensive spacing.
I think Shamet is in the rotation of 8 if Thibs doesn't have enough garbage time. I think you see the athleticism of Beauchamp and see that he could have earned a bigger roll on the team with his defensive presence.
If we get past 1st rojj uh d I guess we can say a successful season & Thibs job safe for now.
Tibs 5-18 versus winning teams , 0-11 versus top three teams, 3 games before the nets, he had double-digit leads and lost everyone and the most egregious was not the 23 point lead. He had on Cleveland that he lost no, but the loss to the celtics. He's up 3 with seconds to go, and instead of fouling an all NBA Olympic Champion, he lets him shoot a 3. How soon can we sign mike malone right now? a week before the playoff starts ?
Great first 5-6 players Brunson, Bridges, KAT, Hart, OG, Robinson. Really weak bench. Mcbride, Shamet. We could try to blame Thibs, but what is he going to do. I hope the guys picking up minutes in the second unit can play tough so they arent exhausted like the ens of the indiana series last year

Why let him rest also like the starters is only fair. Is it too late? This place is gonna be burnt out Detroit Pistons is no slouch Every Nick player was up their game and heavy level. No excuses or go home the coach can’t blame it all on the players is his fault also too short lineup all center are not three-point scorers all players can shoot very well just coaching defense is not the only key in winning games and NBA Championships and poor rotations strategy poorly decision-making for the new years for the Knicks
