Lifelong Pels fan here. It’s time to move on from Zion. His 6 seasons with us have felt like 10 seasons

Zion is a bust
He doesn’t care about the game that’s taking care of him and his. That’s a Zion problem.
Zion is simply not dependable for multiple reasons therefore you cannot build around him. Joe should completely rebuild since he may only get one shot to get it right. Zion is also too short to play against the true bigs . Embiid and Jokic simply don’t have to jump if they don’t want to make a play. Embiid also has alot of injury history.
These guys are great together. Why do they yell so much? Hard to listen to overnight or early morning. Insightful though.
Of course, the pelicans should move on. I think he really wants out of NOLA ANYWAY. This is why the pelicans shut him down early this season, for trade purposes. They also didn't want him to possibly get hurt again too, which would've destroyed his trade value. The bigger question: does any other team want him & his contract?

I live in New Orleans. We have a party area right outside the Superdome (which is right next to the arena where the Pelicans play) that’s called Champions Square. It’s the sports Mecca of the city where there’s big posters of all kinds of memorable New Orleans sports moments.
When Zion was first drafted they had this huge poster of him up in the square. That poster has been long gone for at least a year now if not more. Zion is definitely an afterthought.
Some team is out there willing to give Him a max deal just to play 45gms..
At this point, it has to be assumed that this is Zion's final form. A good player with flashes of dominance, whose career will be derailed by injuries. Basically, Paul George v. 2.0
The Pelicans should have dumped Humpty years ago.
Zion needs to do some real soul searching and decide how he wants the second half of his career to go….idk if anybody had the confidence in him as far as him leading their franchise in any capacity at this point…

That’s the problem the pelicans can’t do a proper rebuild. THEY HAVE YOUNG PLAYERS. What young player are you gonna find or draft better than Trey Murphy. You’ll literally only going to be able to trade 2 players (CJ, Zion).
