The problem is not who starts, but who finishes. In the last 2-4 minutes in a tight game you need your best overall players and that does not include the captain.
CP, I like you hate to see KAT drive to the hoop from the top of the key. Often times this is when the defense is set. It’s not a highly effective play. Most times “WE DONT NEED THAT!”

Josh hart is the key when he is on getting rebounds hitting his layup getting assists hitting an occasional 3 the Knicks are a unbeatable team.. cuz the other starters getting theirs especially since Brunson was out wing stop got a good rhythm

Side Note… Only championship contending teams "Have that Switch". I listened to a decent share of Knick podcast over the last couple days, and my only question is "Where was "That Switch" in game 7 against Indiana last year.. when you had a more cohesive team? Every podcast I've listened to has more hopes and wants then a Kids Christmas list about this "switch" being hit in the playoffs. Well let me break in down…
Since most of you are too young to remember this, or have never witnessed it, hears what that switch looks like…
After the 2004 Detroit Pistons Traded for Rasheed Wallace…There was a span of 5 straight Games were the defense held NBA talent teams under 70 points. In Game 2 of the ECF 's against Reggie Millers Pacers, The Pistons BLOCKED 19 shots. The Shaq and Kobe Lakers never scored 100 points against them in the Finals (4-1).
That my friends, is an example of that Mystical "Switch" you speak of. That switch isn't on Offense, it's on Defense. Defense travels, shots come and go. Defense is why you fear the Celtics in the second round, and all they do is shoot a bunch of Dumb ass 3's all game. Defense wins Titles.
So while we sit here in Detroit, Chillin', pretty much playing with House Money this series, we have zero worries about whose gonna score for The Pistons, which we haven't all year. As long as we play defense, we straight.
Pistons fan here, we respect the Knicks team but we feel this was our best possible matchup. If KAT puts our bigs in bad positions we lose, if your bench is remotely equal we lose, if the Pistons don’t have the second scorer, we lose but we like our chances winning the glass, we love our interior defense, we love Cade’s comfortability we just need the role players to maintain. We love our grit but the obvious youth of the Pistons is a concern.
On your point about Mitch possibly starting. Is he ready to carry 25+ minutes a game? If he is then we are good. If it's 15-18 a game then that's a different story

Things I think:
1. Cade Cunningham is a turnover machine. His assist: turnover was 9.1: 4.4 last season. Cade will score his. Clog the passing lanes and prevent his teammates from going off.
2. Tobias Harris & Tim Hardaway Jr are inconsistent & green light on defense. Go right at these guys and force them to use up fouls.
3. Do not let Malik Beasley get good looks. This guy is a Knick killer.
4. Don’t let Beef Stew get under your skin. Rick Mahorn, Bill Laimbeer, Dennis Rodman were artists. Isiaiah Stewart, Ron Holland Jr are physical guys but aren’t elite defenders.
5. Play up to the Knicks potential. This team has way too much talent not to be denied. Don’t let the foot up from the gas pedal.
It’s gonna be a showdown in Motown!

You said you'd start Mitch for this series and say we have to dictate terms but don't you think that making the first move and changing up the starters is giving up that card you want to play so to speak I would just keep heart and a starting lineup and go till it can't work anymore.
Julius did not play in the playoffs or play defense. IHart got cooked 2nd round. I only want Donte back
As a Cavs fan I find it odd to think Pistons would win this series. People have been calling Cavs inexperienced in playoffs often but not as much talk that majority of pistons haven’t even seen the play in yet. Pistons have chance to win series but against more experienced + talented Knicks team I find it unlikely
