   As a pistons fan we’ve made the playoffs a couple times in the last decade but this is by far the best season we’ve had since like 2008 😭 I’m so happy

   I think 40 wins wasn’t really all that unexpected, as a pistons fan I watched them extensively last year. Marz is right the pistons were never the worst team, they often were in competitive games with top teams but there was a large level of dysfunction and lack of NBA level players but the five of Cade, Ausar, JD, Stew, and Ivey were never the problem.

   52% of the chat having the pistons beating the knicks is insane. The pistons sole wincon is cade averaging 25-30 ANDDD malik having like a 6 threes made game. Jalen brunson rises in the playoffs like very few have, OG is gonna outplay any piston wing and Mitchell Robinson on the glass is a game changer. Knicks in 5 tbh
   Not to mention shamet payne mcbride can match THJ production

    I really hope we dont trade for book, I genuinly think Ivey can be a great possibly like a 1 or 2 time all star player. The only players I would think of trading are fonteccio( hes just kind of whatever) and paul reed(everytime I see him on the floor is pure agony)

    When healthy Kwai is a top 10 player in the NBA. But the same is true of Joel Embid. Top 5 probably. But if you are not available to the point that you team pays you all this money, and it affects your ability to win championships, then fans have a right to be mad at those players. Why is Paul George averaging 16 points and getting paid max money. Everyone in Philadelphia hated Tobias, but at least he showed up in the regular season, averaged 16 points, and got paid 35 million per year compared to Paul George getting 50? Guess what the Pistons paid Tobias 25 this year, we made the playoffs as the 6th seed and he was a big reason. Instead of Stewart chucking 3s pretending to be a modern 4 we got a player who fills that role. What did we need around Cade. floor spacing. Instead of Kevin Knox/Killian Hayes chucking 3s hitting 29 percent we had guys like Tim Hardaway Jr and Malik Beasely taking those shots. Those players were demonized by the media in Dallas, and LA. But they are good NBA role players who helped turn the pistons around. That should be appreciated about them. They show up for games, there is no drama, and everybody does their job. This is what the Pistons need, and this is how teams become good. NBA analysts talk about how the NBA is a cookie cutter league now. We need more old school basketball. Guess what, Deeeetroit Basketball is back and. The franchise played a pivotal role in building the NBA up in the 80s. Which franchise is linked to Jordan's rise? Still demonized to the day. But every good story always needs a good villain. Maybe it will help NBA ratings? I hope we do not take a short cut and give up all the young talent for a quick fix trade.

    Last year was a masterclass in mismanagement. Ivey was benched in favor of Killian. Monty ran all bench lineups. Monty benched Ausar in favor of Isaiah Livers. Stew was used as a stretch 4. Evan Fournier was being played major minutes. Ausar, a nonshooter, was told to shoot corner threes.

    Casuals were doing podcasts saying Tyrese Maxey was better than Cade
