The Raps are still at least 2 big trades away from contending. Definitely closer than before with a much deeper roster, but not there yet. Time will tell who stays and who goes. Just as it did leading up to the 2019 win.
Just like habs were in year 3 of rebuild and are now in the playoffs, I believe raps will also make it next year

I don't recall ever seeing a tanking team pursue a star player. That was a stroke of genius by the organization, and it wouldn't surprise me if other teams begin doing the same.
Masai said they are focusing on a 2 way young big for the draft.

Khaman Maluach and asa newell
Dariq queen wouldn’t fall into a two way big, but he could develop on the defensive end.
Khaman is the pick.
I could also see if Maluach is off the board when we pick we go for kasparas. OR trade down. Target Thomas sorber as the future centre. And maybe Rashad Fleming. Huge upside for both, could maybe trade with brooklin 2 for 1 pick

I'm tired of people saying it's Scotties team. It was Ingrams team the moment we traded for him.
Scotty is a #3 option on a chip team/contender. There is no way he can lead us to the chip as the guy.
Trade him while his value is still good. He would be great on the nuggets.

I think Ingram was a good trade. He will an excellent peace and might eventually become the number one in the raptors. Get a good center and Toronto will be fine.
