Maybe trading Devin is a good idea. Looking at advanced stats, he has been a good player, but not great; perhaps it was too much to expect to build a team around him. Only one season did he have the (forgiving) standards I have heard of 3.2 Value Over Replacement Player that is considered a minimum for being a legitimate All Star.
This year his Win Shares of .111 was only marginally over his career level-a down year. If he was a legitimate Franchise type of player, should those numbers be at least around double?

I started to think maybe Itâs not the pick but the intelligence to understand what your team needs and what potential a player could hold. A number one pick is not going to save your franchise.
The new owner is better than the last one who didn't want to spend any money. Worse results but it's because they rolled the dice on Beal which worked out as bad as it possibly could. They should have used those resources on 2-3 good role players around Booker and Durant.
