Trading for Beal was always the most insane move I’ve seen a team make other than Luka. If you have $50M in salary coming off the bench, your team might suck. The whole Nurkic thing was bizarre. How can you take a guy, who definitely has his shortcomings, but still had the highest +/- on the team last season and was at times their only functional playmaker on the roster, then destroy his value as a “toxic player” to the point you have to attach a pick in a trade? Boy I bet the Hornets are loving that deal. How high do you have to be to convince yourself that Nick Richards is a starting C on a good team, let alone anywhere near as good as Nurkic.
