Good stuff man. But the one thing matchup-wise that the rockets will do( again) is put Sengun on Moody.
This will keep Amen Thompson on Steph, DBrooks on jimmy, and Vanvleet on Draymond.
This is so that if Steph tries to involve Dray or jimmy in any screening actions, the rockets will just switch, and both Vanvleet and Brooks actually do a decent job on Curry.
If Steph tries to switch onto Sengun, they'll swarm him and force Moody to playmake off the PNR pass, and that's one of moody's weaknesses.
Wonder what adjustments Kerr will make to solve this lol.

This series comes down to Butler scoring in the paint plus his FT %, add that to Curry with a healthy thumb and Santos = X factor, IMO 6 games sounds about right , if not 5. Warriors! I am so biased…lol

rockets fan here. the warriors are dangerous. this is a huge youth vs xp type game. do the warriors have an answer for the rockets double big line up where the just clean up the board, that doesn't involve dray kicking steven's adams, again?

In my own opinion, the only teams that can stop the Golden State Warriors are the Clippers and Cleveland Cavaliers
As a Dutchman it is really nice to see a Dutch player in the NBA again. And Post has good potential and is playing well in minutes given. As the tallest country in the world we really should have more lol. And yeah I think you are right that it is going to come down to two of Podz/Post/Kuminga/Payton/Moody/Hield stepping up. And that is a lot on Kerr, finding the right team on the floor for the situation.
1. Steph gets the calls he has to get (the holding and shirt pulling ).
2. Dray gets at least 10pts a game/doesnt act stupid
3. Buddy figures out how to move within the system and make correct reads/shot selections
4. Kuminga tries to actually be good at defending .
If all these happen, Warriors will go through
You're right that Butler isn't going to see Amen defending him (who should be DPOY btw). I hate to break it to you, but Jabari Smith, Tari Eason and Dillon Brooks are elite defenders as well.
The main X factor is the refs. Are they going to let Kerr influence them and call heavily in favor of y'all like they did against Mem (and most of their playoff runs historically).
Knowing Steve Kerr and things he learned from Phil Jackson, I think they intentionally positioned themselves to be the 7th seed so that they face Houston first. I think it’s a good prep for LAL and eventually OKC. If they were 6 or 3, it will be tougher. Not going to say they gonna win it all. They still need to execute. Just saying I think this is the plan.

To be fair I think curry was injured when he scored 3. He looks much healthier now. Plus winter is a drag for everyone and it’s warmer now. People in general feel healthier and stronger
Im not writing the Rockets off like most of these fans. They are the 2nd seed for a reason. Respect your opponent or pay the consequences. Play small ball and the Rockets will eat your lunch. The coaches are the key to this series, cause Steph will be mostly neutralized (compared to Steph numbers). I dont want to see the refs bail us out, the Warriors need to be properly tested if they want it all.

The NBA wants the Warriors and Lakers in the 2nd round. They need them for ratings and money. No one cares about seeing the Rockets or most other teams. It's all about money and popularity. If the Lakers and Warriors don't win, the NBA will lose hundreds of millions of dollars. They can't have that.
Houston is the second seed but you got to realize Jimmy Butler only been with them about half the season right if he hadn't played the whole season with the Golden State warriors Houston wouldn't be the two seed that's what you have to realize golden state is not a seventh seed
