Whether Pop comes back and he goes back to assistant or they choose a different coach and he goes to coach somewhere else. Mitch was a big part of this year and giving our young guys an opportunity to get better which will impact the future. They had 12 more wins this year, which is a lot more especially when considering the two best players were out much of the season. Overall, it was a fine buildup year, the future is still bright and we got two high picks in a stacked draft

Last year Denver this year GS. Impacting the playoffs even when we’re not in it! Next year we’re going to get a ring for CP3.
Mitch is just an intelligent dude. I’d be a fine and committed coach of our future or on any team.
Coach Mitch Johnson was tossed into the fire this season — handed the keys to a rebuilding Spurs team with more potential than polish. He was asked to steer a franchise still haunted by its dynastic past under the watchful eye of a fanbase that somehow unaware what a rebuild looks like. The result was not exactly parade-worthy nor pretty, but it was real. And in this pressure cooker of a season, Coach MJ did what most wouldn’t: showed up, took the heat, and didn’t flinch.. someone had to hold the clipboard while the legend figures out his next move. Mitch did an awesome job this year. If he's the head coach next year then I won't have an issue with it.
