Better team in the first 3 Quarters? Whatβs better about a team giving up a 7, 9, and 11 point lead in those 3 quarters? More efficient? Yes. Better shooting? Yes
But better overall? No. Giving up multiple leads like that means you were matched, not better, a stalemate at most. The better team actually was the one that eventually figured you out and forced the other into 7 turnovers in the 4th quarter.

Just couldnβt put them away! But what an outing for the TEAM! Went toe to toe with the Knicks! Got to see how the playoffs run and letβs win the series again π€π€

You were not the better team for 3 quarters, one and a half maybe but not 3. And certainly seemed like the lights were too bright in the 4th

Cade was absolutely terrible in the 4th quarter.

No excuses, we should have won. Experience is a factor but yesterday the Knicks were so-so.
The Pistons 2 biggest weaknesses were exposed throughout much of this game.
(1) Although Cade Cunningham gets many assists, he is not a point guard and his pounding the ball and poor decision making leads to too many scoring chances for the opposition.
You also see why Dennis S has played for 9 teams.
He's very mediocre.
Detroit needs a capable point guard running the offense while sliding Cade to the shooting guard to increase his efficiency.
(2) Detroit needs a low post scorer because Stewart and Duren just don't throw fear into defenses.
They combined for 9 points and way too many dumb ass fouls.
That, along with the young players doing very little blew a game they should have won.
The Knicks are very overrated, typical of the media hype for NY teams .
Detroit's veterans played their asses off only to see the youngsters do very little.
Respectfully, pistons were good for 1q, the 3rd q. Tied for the 1st, knicks got 2nd and 4th.

Pistons are too small in the long run imo. Robinson and KAT are too big for Duren and Stewart
