The Spurs’ season started with promise — then quickly spiraled into chaos.
Gregg Popovich suffered a stroke five games in. De’Aaron Fox arrived in a rare trade deadline swing, then shut it down for finger surgery. Victor Wembanyama was lost for the season with a blood clot issue. And somehow, 39-year-old Chris Paul started all 82 games.
It was one of the strangest seasons in franchise history — but the Spurs still finished right where many expected.
