Luka might score a few more points than Anthony Davis but he simply CANNOT PLAY DEFENSE! AD can score and his massive size, strength and quickness made him a good to great defender. LeBrain can’t take enough PEDS ANY LONGER; LeBrain rarely plays defense anymore. It’s impossible to watch his pathetic efforts, I gave up watching him in 2010!

Finally, a really good analysis of this series.
Laker fans think Luka was the only reason that Dallas beat the Wolves last year in the WC finals. I dunno how you overlook a Kyrie Irving or Lively and Gafford.
Plus there were a couple of factors on the Wolves side. In game 4 of the Phoenix series with Booker picking Conley up full court Finch got hit on the sideline by the two as they crashed in to him. He ended up with a ruptured tendon in his knee and had to have surgery. He was on crutches and couldn't stand on the sideline or sit with the team. They made special accommodations for his leg and he sat back a row from the team to prevent any further damage.
The Wolves knew Denver well and have had a strategy for Jokic for awhile. Even so, it went 7 and was a very physical series. Ant was in his 1st extended playoff run and after the Denver series he seemed drained of energy. I've heard dominate young players in their 1st extended playoff run can hit a wall. The good ones learn from it and improve their conditioning.
The Wolves weren't as familar with Dallas as they were with Denver, especially with the additions they made. Ant playing without his usual energy and Finch not on the sideline making adjustments when needed also may have been factors.

Wolves got depth and Height. Everyone on their starting 5 can shoot and defend. Even their bench can shoot and defend. Twolves this year are top 10 in Offense and Defense. They've been on a hotstreak going into the playoffs. Their only problem was the offseason trade and getting this team to gel. They now have that figured out. This was a bad matchup for real. No idea why media pundits and lakers fans thought this was gonna be a cakewalk. Now its a matter of JJ vs Finchy….what schemes are you going to run in the next match up.

You can say that Minnesota can’t shoot that hot the whole series…true, but to that affect…Edwards, Randle and Gobert won’t all have off games every game either…we didn’t even get play-off Ant in game one. And you can’t ignore that the refs didn’t call a single foul against LA until 4 minutes left in the first HALF…literally more than an hour of game time without committing a single foul?!? C’mon!

No doubt the Lakers have talent on offense, but they lost so much size and defense shipping out AD. On top of that they have like no depth. They aren't going to be a serious contender until they address that. It was ridiculous to think a team that's this bad on defense would get to a championship this year.
lakers are done, lebron will be 41 yrs old next year, it doesn't matter if they get bigs since most wont defend anyways. also the other teams will improve as well.
