This is appalling. Calling his own players losers if they sleep well tonight. Takes zero accountability for anything and says his players sucked. I wouldn't want to watch games with this guy, let alone have him coach my beloved Blazers. Chauncey hinting that he would have hurt someone on the other team for clowning on them. He's said repeatedly they won't watch the film on games like this. Underperforming every year despite low expectations all but the 1st year. What a joke.

Embarrassing this is still the head coach.
I guess what coach is saying is there is a lot of room for improvement. But the franchise has been losing on purpose for three seasons running and has built a losing culture, all so they could draft Sharpe, Scoot, and Cling.ย
That must be frustrating for Billups, who is only part of the issue. The FO has put together a roster that cannot shoot, period. 4-42 from 3 is one of the worst shooting performances OF ALL TIME, and the year is young. I think it's time to warm up the tank. Williams III is back, and looked decent moving around the court. Ayton, Ant, Grant, all have some value. And Deni is on a reasonable deal, so his putrid shooting and finishing around the bucket aren't going to sink his value either. No player should be above talent acquisition, but the question is, does the FO have the ability to make the right moves. Not being able to shoot a lick from outside is impossible to overcome in the modern NBA.
Also, Portland has had to recover from an FO selling its assets to build a winner around Dame. LaMarcus walked for nothing, and there was really little else to trade anyways. It's going to be a long rebuild and that was always going to be the case.

As a Grizzlies fan, I was quite surprised how the Grizzlies actually won your crowd. And that was a Memphis team missing several key players.
I was a the game and not once did he get in a huddle with the players and help them out, he looked completely lost consulting his coaching staff instead.

Coach CB is doing his best under the circumstances especially with no floor leadership with soft guys like Ant and Ayton as your top veterans! Coach will be fine once he gets a star player to work with hopefully in Sharpe. Itโs definitely not Ant Ayton or even Scoot.
