Will Jonathan Kuminga be a target for the Brooklyn Nets this offseason?

Jonathan Kuminga is entering restricted free agency and seems on the outs with the Golden State Warriors, even turning down a contract extension from them. Would he be the kind of player on Sean Marks’ radar this offseason, especially considering the salary the Nets will have available compared to other teams.

  1. Kuminga would be perfect for this rebuild, but only on a prove it deal. If he can continue to develop once we give him more minutes, he could very well be a long-term piece for the future.

  2. Would a sign and trade involving Kumminga + 2 1st round picks for Cam Johnson be interesting for the Nets? Cam would fit the warriors type of offense very well and im not sure you're getting a high potential young player + 2 1sts from any other team anymore given how 1st are being valued in the new CBA now a days. Thoughts? Would the warriors be interested in this?

  3. If you can't thrive in a winning situation, you're not long for the league. Kuminga had more opportunities than Moody in their four years, and Moody has been able to contribute to winning basketball. Kuminga is nothing more than a tank commander, and we already have ours.

Kuminga can't shoot, doesn't defend, has a low IQ doesn't rebound, and is a ball stopper. We don't have time for a Year 5 project. I want absolutely nothing to do with him.
