Outside of like edwards, porzingis, jokic, and giannis. Who none will be available. And porzingis can't stay healthy. I really don't want to trade for a "star". I am out on the kd or zion "splash moves". I don't see those two winning anything
Landry, Clint, Jaylen injury, and Bufkin always injured. Smh. Can Bufkin be like Kylie Irving – we'll never know cause he can't stay on the floor.
The board should just learn from their error last time and be patient. Dont move for a star for the sake of it, wait for the perfect opportunity. Trading for a star for the sake of it will turn the hawks into the phoenix suns.

next years free agency is gonna be stacked with a lot of franchise impacting players. With that being said I’d maybe just get a decent center now then make the really “big splash” move next summer

Firing Landry is yet another big mistake bc Landry had a stable vision for the team that was great for developing all of the young players and he made some great offseason moves. The culture Landry nurtured is the biggest reason why the team and players did so well this year.
Even if Tony Ressler makes big splashes, the team will go downhill, especially over the medium-term future (next 2-3 years).

There's no reasonable path for the Hawks to acquire a better PG than Trae.
Dyson is exactly what you want next to Trae and a blue-chip piece at the 2. ATL has arguably one of the best young two-way forward duos in ZR & JJ.
The only place you can consider an upgrade is at the 5, which is unlikely due to the need for a stretch 5 (because of spacing issues Dyson & JJ present) who is also a rim protector. And no one is giving that player up (for what, OO & picks??)
All of the "acquire a star" talk doesn't really seem to add up. Just need to draft well and bolster the bench.
I appreciate the facts Brad 🫡 but you did slip on one. Mo Gueye was definitely a 2nd rounder (39th) which shows how good of a pick that was.
