  1. Get rid of this GM, even if you have to fight him in court. Sell the team to someone who can help current ownership to purchase team from current ownership.

  2. He got rid of Luka because ownership told him too. Basketball is a business and new ownership didn’t want to pay Luka’s up coming Supermax. They are working on a new stadium. That being said he shouldn’t have done that stupid interview.

  3. Isn't this the same 'NBA Insider' that went on air right after the Luka trade and said that Luka's team essentially forced the trade and said 'that's why there is reporting' when shooting down those show speculate about the trade? Journalism does matter. Sacrificing accuracy for being first with your 'reporting' is not acceptable. I can't take this guy seriously.

  4. There’s absolutely no way Anthony Davis can stay healthy for 82 games + deep playoff run next year as he’s another year older..
they’re gon have to limit him to 40 to 60 games just to have a chance to make a playoff run work..
I have questions about Kyrie staying healthy for a playoff run in the future now too another year older & another major injury + he has a player option he might not even wanna be a Mac after all this..
There’s no doubt in my mind an under the table condition on this deal was when Nico’s GM days are over he’ll absolutely always have a job somewhere in that Lakers front office.

  5. Why did you trade Luka for so little? Why did you have a secret trade and not open it up to get the best deal? Why did you leave the lakers with any assests when they gained the 2nd best player in the league? Why did you not tell Luka what you were planning? Why did you talk bad about Luka after you threw him away. How are so blind of talent? Let Brunson walk for peanuts. You are not a good business man. Your a nice guy who has no idea how to run a team or build a winner. Thank you for freeing up my time and saving my wallet. F the mavs f nico f the ownership

  6. It would be like the Bengals going. Sorry I didn't know how important Joe burrow was to the fans…….

    Huh???!?!?!

Winning is most important. And luka provided a great opportunity. That's what they are pissed about. If you traded him for idk Wemby. People wouldn't be pissed

  7. People keep trying to brush off Nicos culpability here.

It was already reported that the team governor laughed when he originally broached the idea. So it was HIS idea.

Sure they had to sign off, but it originated in his head.

If you read the other stories about how he treated Casey Smith and his relationship with Dirk, none of this should be surprising.

Also, even under the theory he was forced to do it, doesn't justify the way he did it.

The way he went about the trade, the return he got, how he treated Luka on the way out.

So we can keep trying to come up with excuses for Nico. But he's telling us everything we need to know.

This was his idea, the owner took him at his word thinking Nico was some basketball savaant that knew more than him, and now he's living with it.

  8. Putting Luka in the same list as Shaq, Jordan, Durant, and LeBron leaving their teams is a bit misleading. Those other guys all left after WINNING a title. Luka is gone after losing a title, not even having really been competitive against the Celtics, a much more defensively-minded team. Nico clearly thinks Dallas has a better shot beating OKC/Boston going forward with AD than with Luka—and he very well might be correct. But the problem with AD is how injury-prone he is and his age.

  9. How is he a GM he sold shoes to players and did a bad job at it. How the hell does he know how to run a team. Who tought he might be a good GM instead of being a con man.

  10. I do not for a second believe that he made the decision to trade Luka and that it was only him. That had to have come down from ownership. Otherwise he wouldn't have a job right now. He wouldn't have made it to an exit interview.
