People are going to extremes that's why, there are levels. When someone says they're the favorite, others think it's automatic, it's not that simple. Many favorites have lost in the past. Why? Because the teams are closer than you think, there are matchup problems there. The Thunder are the favorites but need to look out for other teams because they have the formula to beat them.
So the next step for non-OKC fans is, "Well OKC won the championship, repeat next year to prove it wasn't a fluke"
OKC is having a historic season . NO ONE in the media had them as the favorite . To now say “they should be the favorite” is disrespectful . They should be considered the favorite & should be expected to be in the championship . This team is legit

The pundits always try to make OKC seem even better than they are by talking about the grizzlies with their regular season stats to make them look better than they are. The Grizzlies fell off a literal cliff after all star. Throw out all those stats from before the break and they are a bottom 10 team in the league easy
