  1. You want to emphasize a good stretch prior.
The faster that ball comes up depends on how hard you dribble and how far the ball has to come up challenge your players to go lower if naturally capable of doing so by stretching.

  2. This drill is so close to being good but is basically pointless. It would be much better if you did it in reverse order and focused on between followed by an explosive dribble.

  3. It's about developing the muscle memory, when you're doing it for real, the muscle memory kicks in and you silently thank coach for the drills.

    Watch the rim!!!

  5. repetition is the father of learning when it comes to the fundamentals. then the fundamentals turn into 2nd nature, then, if practiced enough, about as close to an instinct as one can have.

  6. So you practice basketball to dribble, not to score a basket. Every drill must be a threat to the basket. If your head is in the floor how will you assist

  7. A coach that does the drill, stays honest and humble. That "I messed up, that's how you get better" speaks volumes on how your training works. I'm sure those kids have mad respect for you. I'm glad there are coaches like you out there.

  8. Is Derrick White the Hot Ones Guy? Cuz itโ€™s definitely giving Hot Ones ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ

  9. Most certainly but since you're a coach let's teach these youngsters on how to shoot a jump shot..

These players that take these three-point shots and just leave their shooting hand up in the air like they're all that and a bag of snot when they're not…

If you're shooting the ball you need to follow the ball after you shoot it that way you can contribute to the team for a rebound if you should happen to miss
