  1. He needs to get the players that he wants on the team that will do what he wants and play the way he needs them to fit his style let's see what that looks like

  2. Try to remember also that 2 coaches left without hiring new people. From the time they got rid of MB, they were down 2 which put more responsibility on DC and others.

  3. 🤷‍♂️ love Doug, but what is he really going to offer more than an established coach? Can he even attract good assistants that aren’t looking to stab him in the back?

  4. Doug and Scott need to hire good assistant coaches. Brilliant defensive schemes and solid offensive structure.

  5. Good for Doug. I can’t say I’m optimistic about actually making a playoff series in the next few seasons, but hope I am proven wrong. What’s another few years of purgatory? 😂

  6. All the fans that are saying they love Doug. I guarantee that if he never played for Sacramento, no one would be saying that just as a coach!! Im not for Doug as coach! I’m sorry, been a fan for 30+ years and been attending game since 1996. I’m officially stepping back as a fan this year. I will not attend any games, watch or support this team in anyways next season! That’s my last straw!! I’m disappointed at Vivek and running this team and his failures. This was vivek worst failure at hiring Doug as coach. We all know this was Vivek choice and he’s the real GM! If Doug never played for us and no one knew who he was. They would want him out of here and want a established coach. I never been as disappointed as I am now. The only reason fans are happy about it, is becuase they are Doug fans. I was a huge fan of Dougs game, loved his passion, but not as a coach. We could done way better then him! Good luck to the kings organization! Don’t worry, Doug will be replaced in 2 years. Guaranteed!

  7. Absolutely Happy for our city, and for Doug. This definitely is a full circle.. Glad to see Dougie fresh stay put in Sactown! Let’s get it Doug.!

  8. Agreed with Morgan: manifest success for this new iteration of the Kings. Of course there are things we can sit around and wish were different, but this team does have talent, and Doug can bring passion and pride for the shirt. If we can make some impactful tweaks to this roster and instill the right mentality, this team can command respect and get results!

  9. Nothing will ever change until the team gets sold. Some franchises care about winning while some are content to simply sell tickets and merch. Unfortunately for us we're fans of the latter.

  10. Rooting for Doug and breathing a sigh of relief we didn’t get a Doc Rivers type. Also totally fine if this was Viveks preferred route and Perry said ok I’ll give it a year to work the edges but then it’s all up to me. Just give us hope!

  11. I'm hoping to God that Doug Christie will pressure Domas to start being more of a high volume three point shooter. We NEED to be able to pull the defender out of the post and open up the lane for Zack. He also needs to be more of a shot blocker.

  12. Glad to hear it from you first via YT podcast. Hope DC has some great assistant coaches to help with mid-game adjustments! He certainly can lead with heart and appreciation of players.

  13. Doug deserves a real shot…even if we have a new coach this time next year (hey, just going with the historic trend line )

How/Why do teams like OKC be great with Duran/Westbrook…then become bad…and now are likely to be playing for championship while, in that same amount of time, the Kings have been what they are? OKC is a much smaller market!

As a Hornets fan alum, GO SHAQ STATE!

  14. I'm glad Doug Christie is the new head coach. Before Doug was interim head coach the Kings were a .419 team with a third of the season already over. After Doug the Kings finished .529 despite all the drama and roster changes. I agree that it was telling in the exit interviews that the players liked Doug as coach. I think having training camp/preseason and hiring his coaching staff will help him succeed. Also a true point guard, which Scott Perry already mentioned was a need in his press conference.

  15. Kings are just sad, we’re clinging so hard to our “successful” era.

Sorry but Doug is not a good coach, this is going to be so messy and yuck and we will end up disliking Christie by the end of it just like we all dislike Divac after his stint as GM.

After decades of following this shit show of a franchise I’m done.
