    Maybe Mat talked to outside candidates that didn’t align with his vision for the team on what to do with KD and Book. Mat will struggle to relinquish control it took Mark Cuban years to take a step back

    You're hyperfocusing too much on how Ishbia first met the guy and not enough on what he's done on his own merits. 20 years of consistently always having a head coaching job at the college level, a few chips in his cabinet, over 20 years he had a +.500 record. It's pretty easy to see how he found an overlooked diamond in Dunn. if you're trying to go younger and looking for guys that other teams are sleeping on but could emerge as major contributors with the right focus, this is definitely someone to look at.

    I doubt money is why they decided to hire internally (assuming this is the guy). It's probably more that they're running out of time to find a new head coach and rather than pray for a Bob Myers who may not be the same Bob Myers he was 5 years ago given his recent draft mistakes and that mess of a Kelly O trade, that you instead look to who actually did the right things last summer that didn't age like milk as the season progressed, and let that guy have a louder say.

    Ishbia hiring his buddies and rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic. Wouldn’t blame anyone for not picking up their season tickets and not showing up next season. What a dumpster fire the Suns have turned into.
