Anthony, they have bad contracts on the books. Paying Bam a supermax when he plays like a mid-level exception guy. Terry Rozier making huge dollars and having costed a first round pick. Do NOT extend Tyler Herro, need to clear the books and trade Bam and Duncan Robinson.
Anthony, isn’t our pick to Charlotte in 27’ top 14 protected? I’m asking because theoretically can’t we tank the next two seasons and keep our picks?
Heat need to decide whether they want to continue with Bam and Tyler, because if you trade both those guys your getting atleast 4 1st round picks for both. That will jump start the rebuilding process quicker 🤷🏽♂️

Far from competing for championships? What about far from earning the 6th seed or far from winning a playoff game.
Gloom and doom, gloom and doom, they are not that far off from competing, no one in the NBA is. You blow out sometimes and sometimes you get blown out.
Herro's "good season" is supposed to be defined by his post season productivity. He's still not a post season producer. That's a silly situation for someone who more or less is just a scorer.
Been saying this for years pick a direction. If you don’t get that star this offseason blow it up and get picks and build up your chest… anything else is malpractice

We've got 55-60M in expiring money next year. Anyone left could easily be traded. Step 1 is August 1st when Luka and Trae are eligible for extensions. If they don't take those extensions, there's a reason to target the summer of 2026.
If they don't extend, I'd be open to using the expiring money to bring in someone.
Either way, we're in a position to be in the right place at the right time.
Tye Jerome is available this off season. Lock him up as a starter and D. Mitchell as the backup
If possible, clearing Wiggins, Anderson, Robinson, and Love clears $60M. Resign Burks. Even so, getting past the current CAVS, Pacers, and Celts lineup and talent would be too difficult.
I disagree, respectfully offense wise this team is far closer to Washington and Charlotte than Boston and Cleveland. Problem is, they will keep falling unless they get off these overpaid one way guys. They are not a superstar away…Giannis/KD, etc. with who would be left would upgrade them to a 1st round exit at best. This will takes years😔..the only thing they have done well recently is draft. I no longer trust them to trade.
Listening to 2 front seat writers sound so clueless on how this off season will pan out says a lot. There are options to improve this team. You have Bam and Herro and some young functional parts. Fans would rather see a retooled team with some fight in them than tank in disguise. If Giannis wants to leave and says "Miami only", and having the same agent as Bam changes everything. Giannis is not the type to shop around. A soft team can be only a move away from changing the dynamic of that team. All big 'Ifs" but it is going to be a curious off season and I am all for it.
