The 76ers Are a House of Cards Ready to Collapse

With the addition of Paul George to join Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, the Philadelphia 76ers have put together one of the most talented teams in the NBA. But, a slow and injury-riddled start already has the Sixers on the brink of a collapse.

  1. And their ownership is trying to ram an arena down the city’s throat, creating all sorts of bad juju. This franchise is PATHETIC

  2. George is not the same player he was 10 years ago. Yes, when healthy, he is a devastating offensive threat but his best years are behind him. I’m not surprised that things aren’t working out for the Sixers now that he’s hurt again. The Sixers are literally the Eastern Conference version of the Clippers and look how they turned out when George was still there.

  3. As am in Philadelphia, Joel Embiid, the NBA Sixers center, he has been PAID, assured money and his family/him $ecure his/their life-time. Always with knee issues, Sixers evaluators bring Paul George in on to the team and HIS knees are WORSE; always recycling these athletes, the REAL fans clearly not silly. WE can SEE the quality is NOT there any more, the NBA no longer the "1990s" level. If MONEY is now THEE only bottom line, the fan$ need to stop attending, ever pro-Sport franchise clearly money-generators, majority not to enable a parade. Sixers proof positive, another wasted season and Embiid only to get older, a waste.

  4. Embiid had Two great individual years. No team accomplishments during those years then there are all the other years….hmmm.

  5. Sixers outside of Maxey are frauds. Embiid bitched and cried his way to an MVP. Podcast P is a joke. These guys are frontrunners, plain and simple. Embiid is a joke of a superstar. His resume is filled with nothing but flameouts, false starts, and excuses. No Joel, you are not and never were in the running to be one of the greatest of all time. You did not deserve to win MVP over Jokic 2 years ago. You haven't given nearly enough to the organization that drafted you and continues to cowtow to your every whim. You sit upon a throne of lies

  6. You said in this video that when healthy George can push the Sixers over the top. Paul was my favorite player since he started in Indy. And I have watched many of his games and studied his play for years. Without question injuries have negatively impacted his play. But I would argue his lack of assertiveness, aggressiveness, effort and his nonchalantness is his biggest liability. A few days ago the Sixers were 2 and 11. The coach who is already on the hot seat called a team meeting because of their on-going poor performance and effort. And how did George respond to help his coach and lift his team? The next game he scored two points before he got injured again late in the third quarter. This is just one of many examples. I hope George is healthy the rest of the year and beyond and turns this season around. But it doesn’t appear to me he has the skills and mindset to do it. I hope he proves me wrong.
