We are living in a time of unprecedented parity in the NBA. This is the first time there's ever been a 6 year streak without a team winning twice or more in that time and we are likely going to see that streak go to 7 this year. Winning multiple titles is harder than it ever was and the NBA media needs to take that into context when judging all-time greatness.

You're never gonna pass Kobe, Mike, Shaq, or other guys on that list of greatest of all time (position or in general)…being a guy that will always be remembered wearing one (small market) jersey their whole career, and MAAAAAYBE ya sneak out a second ship before you retire…that's legacy.
Giannis initially demanded a commitment to win from the Bucks right after they won it. Idk if he ever followed through on holding them to that but it doesn’t seem like it.

I think there's a case to be made that NBA players get away with too much taunting in general. Basketball is not golf obviously, but there is a LOT of mouthy BS going on out there which is seldom deemed "illegal". This makes it "normal" and perfectly acceptable right? It's a culture thing. Taunting will get you a penalty in the NFL but not the NBA. Why? If you want the customers to be civil, set an example or take what you dish. Interestingly, in college hoops people rush the floor all the time at the end of a dramatic finish and no one has an issue with it. Human behavior is capricious and situational. Give John Haliburton a little slack. A reminder to not be on the court would be appropriate but anything more is overkill. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.
