Dillon Brooks admits to targeting Steph Curry’s injured thumb

The Warriors broadcast accused Dylan Brooks for targeting Steph Curry’s injured thumb during game five. And you can’t quite see it on this angle, but you can sort of see him making contact. And here’s Dylan Brooks admitting in his postgame interview to targeting his thumb. Dylan, um, one of the Warriors broadcasters tonight said he thought you were intentionally trying to swipe down on Curry’s thumb. And Kerr was asked about it and said it happens around the league that it’s allowed by the rules, so players throughout the league do that. What do you think about that? No, I’ve been playing the game. Um, shoot. Uh, if you’re going to come play the game injured or whatever you guys all about all about about the game. You know, if I had an injured ankle, I I would attack that ankle every single time. So, whatever they’re saying on the broadcast, they can keep saying it. For both of you guys, since you both were involved, what happened there at the end with the Spencer shove and the headbutt? He’s talking too much. Thanks guys. Thank you.

    You don't attack an opponents injury by physically hitting the injury. He said if he had a hurt ankle, his opponents would go after it every single time. Yes they would by making you play defense, going after you offensively and make you prove you can move laterally and slide, not physically hitting the ankle. Brooks contact is "intentional" not incidental contact going for the shot-block. Of course it's a damn foul!!!

    Remember this folks, he's ok with it. If he's playing injured remember to target that injury. We'll probably hear him during post game being a hypocrite though.

    Nothing wrong with this. Zaza Pachulia did it to Kawhi. It was a crucial incident that favored the Warriors in that series. Draymond regularly targets different players' vulnerabilities… Adams, Lebron, Sabonis… So it's not acceptable if a player from the Warriors does this, and an issue if it is done to them?… The only problem here is Dillon's big mouth.

    So here’s how you solve this…Here’s how the NHL solved this a century ago…One, don’t disclose exact injuries. And that sometimes works but often it’s fairly obvious which brings us to two. You touch up a star you better get ready to start swinging with the biggest guy on the other team! And I need to point out how insane it is for people to be outraged about Draymond green flailing a leg into a weak groin shot, which is not something that will seriously injure a player, or possibly end their career, but someone like Dillon Brooks talks about trying to attack a shooter’s injured thumb and people call it part of the game? Amen Thompson pushes through a non-existent gap between Draymond and Steven Adams to “go for a rebound” on his knees and just happens to extend his arms and push Jimmy Butler’s legs out in the most vulnerable position and that’s just “part of the game”? Honestly if Draymond is going to get techs and flagrant fouls for nonsense then might as well “trip” on the next layup Sengun or VanFleet takes and just unfortunately drop them on their neck…

    Golden St Warriors killed the NBA's credibility globally with their infamous dirty play causing purposeful cakewalk injury ridden competition & failed choked cheating scandals that STILL plague this dying league today. This is why EuroBall, baseball, & hockey passed yall up while Adam Silver defends his rigged front office referee influence for the Warriors because of "entertainment" purposes!😂😂Just baffling to choke to an all-time easily paved script who've always been their biggest & only threat in the West ever!🌉🤡🤣

    This guy Brooks is not welcome here in Phils by all means. He will be tied in the jungles of Mindanao to be feasted by his co-beast. Its a shame, he is being allowed to play in the NBA..

    This dude is a SOB, The entire Rockets team are POS, its not that they play Curry well, they are pretty much holding him, hitting and shoving him, instead of Draymond stepping in Curry needs to be more aggressive, if they hit you hit em back, Brooks will never have the respect of anyone in the league. DIRTY POS!
