But this trade would see the Boston Celtics receiving Desmond Bane and Vince Williams Jr. and the Memphis Grizzlies receiving Drew Holiday, Sam Howser, and a 2030 first round draft pick. Now, in my personal opinion, uh this is uh a trade that I actually love a lot for the Boston. I’m a pretty big fan of Desmond Bane’s game. Like, sure, this guy is on a pretty expensive contract, don’t get me wrong, but this is a pretty awesome player. Like, you’re getting way younger for someone who brings similar skill uh to what Drew Holidayiday brings. If you’re the Grizzlies, I wouldn’t really do this. I mean, Drew Holidayiday is a good player. Perhaps he could be a good mentor uh for someone um like John Morant, of course, you know, he brings championship experience. I’m Hower as well, a good rotational piece and a first round pick in 2030 that could sneakily be pretty good perhaps. Maybe there’s an injury or a trade whatever happens. No one can really predict, you know, four or five years down the road. But, uh this trade’s pretty good. Like if you’re the Celtics and you want to trade someone like Drew Holiday and you’re able to get back players that can help you win now and win a championship and be a good compliment to players like Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown, Desmond Bane is that guy. So if I had to pick a winner of this deal, I would have to go with the Celtics acquiring Desmond Bane. Uh because it doesn’t really make a ton of sense in my personal opinion for the Grizzlies to get older when they’re not really a, you know, a championship caliber team at this moment in time.
