But, let’s get to this one between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Indiana Pacers. The Cleveland Cavaliers coming in off of their four game sweep of the Miami Heat. Absolutely demolishing the Heat in the final two games of that series in Miami by 37 and 55 points in the final two games. On the other side, you have the Indiana Pacers who, you know, took out the Milwaukee Bucks in five and did so in dramatic fashion in game five, 119, 118. They picked up the victory and uh, you know, this is going to be a solid series. I mean, if you look in the regular season, the Pacers took three of four. Now, you know, can you really give too much weight into those uh those final two games of the season, the final two meetings, at least the regular season, you know, finale? I won’t, you know, uh 126 118 in overtime for the Pacers, but nobody was playing for Cleveland in that game. And you know, Indiana even had a few bench guys that saw significant minutes. And even the game back on on April 10th, you know, Cleveland again, you know, was was missing some key pieces. You know, uh Donovan Mitchell did not suit up. The starting lineup was Tai Jerome, Sam Merrill, Dean Wade, u DeAndre Hunter, and Jared Allen. So, you know what we did see though is these two teams, I would say when they were both fully healthy and both had their full cast of characters, they split a home and home between these two teams earlier this season, Indiana winning in Cleveland 10893 and Cleveland returning the favorite in Indiana 12717. And I think we’re at a point now where maybe just blindly thinking about fading the uh the Cavaliers is a fool’s game. I think you just have to really pick your spots if you’re going to do it. But I think this is a spot where I’m going to try to pick my spot with the Indiana Pacers. You know, the Pacers looked really good in that series against the Milwaukee Bucks. Now, granted, the Bucks were banged up at the time. You know, Damen Lillard found himself in and out of the lineup and, you know, the Pacers did allow the Bucks to hang around after, you know, Lillard suffered that injury. But even though the Cavaliers have been a fantastic team for the reg the entire season up to this point and were dominant in the first round, the Pacers showed me this season that they can go and and hang against the uh the Cleveland Cavaliers, you know, in a uh in a in a rockus environment in Cleveland. And I just think this is a case of too many points. It wouldn’t surprise me if the Cavaliers drew first blood, won game one, but eight, like I said, feels like a little bit much. I think at the absolute worst, it’s like a six-point win for the Cavs here. I think that the Pacers are going to compete.
