NBA LIVE! Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets GAME 7 LIVE | May 4, 2025 | NBA Playoffs 2K25

And good evening everyone from Houston with our second NBA playoff game seven of the day. It’s come down to a single game. The number two seed Houston Rockets are in the playoffs for the first time in 5 years with the toughness that has become their calling card. The free throw line. Jaylen Green running it back. Moses Moody says no. That is big time defense moving your feet just sliding those puppies. Steph pass Lucky to get through. Warriors got to be very careful and Moody the open three and it’s Moody again with a block on Jaylen Green. Buddy healed ahead of everybody laying it up and in. So Moses Moody obviously but a couple blocks but Dejky read that perfectly. And then Brandon laying it up and in before Cam Whitmore could ever elevate. He quick shot him like Tony Parker off the wrong foot and there is Amen Thompson flying home to finish that one. From the foul line and those right around Ree Shepard and right to the rim. There’s the difference. I’m tired. I’m fatigued. I’m going to squeeze off a three. No. Go to the basket. Moody tipping it home. Timing play. It’s Moses Moody and it’s Poimky. Santos to Looney to lay it up and in. I depend on. And here comes Amen. Thompson in full flight. He went with the step through and Pachki knocking it away. I’m going to give that stop to Pat Spencer. He sprinted back, made sure that Euro step wasn’t going to be there. And speaking of sprinting, Butler right around Reed Shepard. He passed up a layup. Pachki missed the three. Curry with the rebound. And there is him shoot his bench. A look. Shenun with a spin. Had it knocked away. Draymond with a good help. Jimmy Butler always kind of assessing things, setting up Steph for the layup. And Jimmy kept Shenon off and he’s behind the play now. And Jimmy running the floor and rewarded. Side step three. Got it home. Curry’s got 20 and the lead at 21. That’s your biggest lead of the night. Raymond back to Jimmy Butler. Butler just came back in from out of bounds. Pat Spencer inside to lay it in. And the Warriors dying for any kind of points in any kind of way. But putting it up and in. He’s got 16. A little ball fake. And the only reason it worked was because there was someone there. Moses Moody was running. Williams out of the corner. So Nate [Applause] Williamsky flipping it up and in. Brandon’s got 18. Jeff Green on Steph Curry. Shot clock down to seven. Draymond on a relocate. Steph on a sideep three. Got it. Been seeking out bodies, seeking destroy Tate and the men. Thompson and Butler give and go. Oldest playing back. And they are going to enjoy that week off. [Music] [Music] [Music] Sh. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. N. [Music] [Music] Get ready. [Music] [Music] [Music] going to stop Curry. And what’s working here? Each guy is willing to make the next pass. And so it’s Green who brings up the ball for the [Applause] Rockets. A few possessions into the fourth. Just over a minute played. Tried to come right back with a three of his own, but it’s no good. And here are the Warriors now. 11 uninjured points for him. Well, we might as well count those free throw shots. Curry isn’t automatic half. And taking a quick look here at the hustle stats for the Warriors. Look, it’s not just about forcing a turnover, guys. It’s about converting them in those opportunities and cashing them in. Well, something else that has stood out to me has been their aggressiveness on the boards. They’re just out musling the opposition on the offensive glass. And he knocks down the first one. A multipletime champion and relentless competitor. Curry’s drive to be an all-time great. Well, he’s pretty much there. [Applause] And so Curry nails both of them. He’s making the most of every trip to the line, providing for his team. Green against heel. Pass to Adams. Let’s go with a three. Flamingo pulls it in. And he might have thrown himself off when we saw how much space he had from three. No good with a layup. Every player goes through this. When your shots aren’t going down, it can ding your confidence. Payton finds Kuminga. Kuminga strong like bull to give them credit for cashing in on the turnovers they’ve caused. And Udoka has called timeout looking to get everyone dialed in and engaged. [Applause] This gives us a chance to catch up with Alli Leforce. Hey guys, during that last break I heard Eno Udoka as he talked with the team and it wasn’t a very happy huddle. Coach told the team, quote, “We need to be better with the ball. We’re committing too many turnovers. It’s hurting us.” Back over to you, Brian. Great work, Ally. Thanks, [Applause] We’re about two minutes into the fourth here. Heel against Green. Can they get it? Three. Money from deep. The three-point shooting has been on point here in the second half. Warriors lead by [Applause] three. Deal on the wing. Green covering pass to Curry. Oh, and he got fouled on his way up. He’ll head to the line to shoot two. This just demonstrates how fearless Curry is. Like he knows how to get inside and draw plenty of fouls. [Applause] And that one falls for Curry. Van Gle checked in for the Rockets. And Golden State also making a switch. Pajimsky’s checked in for Heel. and so Curry nails both of [Applause] them. Rockets trail by five pass to Van Vleet. Smith with a screen on Curry. And here’s Van Vleet from the arc. Another three from Houston. Most of his shot attempts come from beyond [Applause] the now. Here’s Payton. Here’s Post Adams covering. Here’s Curry. Perfection. Beautiful stroke. Curry’s got 13 in the second half. After some misses in the first, he’s making up for it now. Adams inside. Some consider Adams to be the strongest player in the league. He never backs down from a physical challenge. The line for New Stevens shooting two. That free throw. No good. [Applause] But he sinks the second and the Warriors with possession. They’re on a 19-7 run. Dominga up top. Back to Curry. Here’s the three. Money. Stephen Curry. the three-point king. And the defense is really allowing them too much room on the perimeter. Green in the post, defended by Pinsky. Up and in on the layup. The defense gets physical with Green, so he uses his ability to get around. Now Curry has to post and he goes in for the dunk. And the basketball IQ that Curry possesses is special. Capable of shredding the defense in a screen roll. Rockets trail by six. Now Van [Applause] Vleet shoots over Curry. Shot is good off the back rim and in. Van Fleet’s got five points now this quarter. Showing off his touch. Van Fleet making easy work off the [Applause] [Music] mid-range. Curry against Van Ble. Fires the three. Adams grabs the miss. This has been a close game in a lot of ways, but they do have an edge on the board. [Applause] That shot is off. Good D by Peyton. The Warriors lead by four. Knocked loose. It’s Kachki on the wing inside. Here’s Kuminga. Een pulls it in. E’s got six rebounds now in the game. Just hasn’t found much consistency from the floor, but his teammates have picked up the slack. Reed up top. Smith outside. Oh, and a fast break for the Warriors and a twohanded jam. Adding insult to injury with the dunk off the steel. Nice to see a good play on D. That led to some fireworks. Once he poked it away, he knew what was on his mind. And Lee finds Green. The three is up. Rebound by Post. Post has got four rebounds now and he lobbs it up to the rim. Dominguez shot is off and he’s having an ugly quarter from the field and seems really frustrated. Curry with a steal and the Warriors pushing it up now over Van Vleet. Curry with the big motor finishes in transition. This quarter has been all his. I suggest they keep the ball in his hands. Curry against Van Fleet. Picked by Smith. Jacks up a three. And that one’s good. Van Fleet for three. Van Vleet’s got eight here in this quarter. His third triple of the game. A little more success from out there in the second half. Curry passes to [Applause] Kaminga. Back to Curry. Stolen by Manley. to the inside and he drops in the layup off the glass and now just a three-point Warrior lead. Something seemed to click for him at halftime. He’s looked a lot more focused and the game is just easy for him now. Pass to [Applause] Curry. Now here’s Payton. [Applause] And it’s good. Assisting on the play was Curry. Assisted. Curry’s got his fifth assist in this one. Hey, they’re just getting pushed around inside. And there’s the screen. Down low. Here’s Van Vleet. Nice assist and nice finish. Solid play all the way around. Vanleet’s got 12 points in just the second half. The Warriors lead by three. [Applause] Jimky with it outside. Curry puts up a deep three. Oh, Curry showing off the range. Shooting a great clip in the second half. He made some nice adjustments. Here’s Van Vleet. Smith with a screen on Curry. Three-pointer. and Lee gets rebounded by Golden State. Kuminga’s got a rebound number five here tonight. Pass to Pachimski. Outside Payton. Here’s [Applause] Post. Shot clock at six. There’s the triple. Another three for Golden State. He drops yet another dive. just facilitating this offense like a maestro. [Music] Outside Green into the lane. [Music] Smith outside. Pass to Van Vleet. Green with a screen on Curry and he’s going for the oop here. They swipe it. Uh-oh. Kaminga on the take. [Applause] That’s tipped. Oh, it’s stolen by E. Benley outside. Lets a three fly. Drills it from deep. Another triple for him. Three in the second half. Four total. Keep shooting it. Curry looking it over. Bambi. Curry. No good. And the shooter had very little space on that attempt. I’m sure they’ll think twice about shooting against him next [Applause] time. Adams with a screen on Curry. The put back. Great positioning on the put back. And now just a four-point Warrior lead. Such a cool customer. You can count on Adams making the right play in pressure situations. And Steve Cerr calls timeout here. He clearly wants to talk it over and make sure everyone is focused. [Applause] Houston making some changes. Alfer and Shingun checked in for Adams. Thompson comes in for Een. And it’s Dylan Brooks in for Smith. [Applause] [Applause] high post. [Applause] Green pass to [Applause] Curry. Back to Butler. Just five to shoot. Playing with passion, Butler is never scared of a challenge. A wing battles inside. [Applause] That’s good from Butler. One of the toughest players in the NBA. No doubt Butler’s teammates love having him around. [Applause] Butler hits them both. Rockets trail by six. And here’s Van Lee. Doesn’t go for him. Ooh, good work defensively by Butler. Green against Thompson. Top of Jimky. 143 left in the fourth quarter. On the wing, Curry lets it fly. Gets some space and burries the jumper. Curry’s got 36 points. And this has become expected from Curry. Everyone knows how dangerous he is at getting to his spot and capitalizing. The officials were right on top of that one. Foul. Second team foul at the line for Houston. Prefle two shots. Shooting [Applause] two on the miss. And he cannot get the first one to drop. Tough one to miss. From GLeague to a big time player, Van Fleet’s journey is nothing short but inspirational. And he’s able to hit the second one. And that narrows the gap to seven. Couldn’t hit them all. And they need every point they can get. Outside Pajki. pass to Green. Fires from deep and the rebound goes to the Rockets. It all comes down to this possession. They must get points. Anything other than a make is game over. This is where you lean on your stars to get you to the finish line. Man, this guy just has nerves out of steel. He is an absolute assassin. Here’s Curry. Now Bundler defended by Thompson inside Jimmy Buckets just makes it look so easy on offense. Wait, who takes pleasure in torturing defenses? He does and May Udoka has called timeout. He’s decided it’s time to clarify the situation, leaving little room for error. [Applause] [Applause] 50 seconds left to play in the fourth quarter. And here’s Van Lee from the arc. Rebounded by Green. Well, Grant, this game looks just about over. BA, all they really need to do is just work that clock. Don’t turn it over. And this game is a wrap. Moody misses and Brooks has got the ball here for Houston. They trail by seven to the inside. We’ve got 22 seconds left to play in the fourth. Pass to Curry. Takes a three. Gets the three to fall. Curry’s got 39. Yeah, they blocked out the noise, blocked out the distractions, kept on grinding, and this is their reward. Oh, Rogue wins. They’re just so sweet. They’re just so sweet. Do you know why? Because they are so hard to come by. And with that win, they’ll be moving on to round two. And what a way to cap off a riveting series in round one. They seem to feed off the pressure of this game seven. Well, they had to put a lot of energy into winning this series. They’ll be a little worn down physically, but from a mental standpoint, they’ll be riding high after battling so hard to win this series. And that about wraps it up from here, folks. We hope you’ve enjoyed our broadcast of the NBA’s Western Conference quarterfinals. For Alli Leforce, Grant Hill, and Richard Jefferson, this is Brian Anderson thanking you for watching the NBA, presented by 2K Sports. And we present the player
