Here are the three things the Grizzlies need to do this off seasonason. Number one, do not trade John. 20242 was a nightmare season for John, but this guy still has superstar talent. Maybe you can pursue a superstar swap with people like Zion Williamson, maybe LaMelo Ball, maybe Trey Young, but I don’t think any of those guys will put you in a better position to win than you already are with John. Number two, keep your coach. John Mar and Jiren Jackson said after the season that they have belief in Isalo and what he can do going forward. There will be big names available in the offseason like Michael Malone, Mike Brown. But if you can stay the path with Isalo and let him continue to build, he can do some promising things. And finally, do not give Jiren Jackson the supermax. Listen, Jiren Jackson just had the best season of his career. If he does make an all the NBA team, he’ll be eligible to sign 5 years, $345 million this off seasonason. When you’re talking about paying somebody north of $60 million per year, they need to have already proven that they can be the best guy on a team that’ll win a playoff series.
