Giannis To The Spurs?!

Unfortunately, like I said, I can’t use my stream deck. Okay, I have to actually use the actual keys on my computer. Life is so hard for me. I swear to God, this is my 13th reason why. Um, okay, Giannis. Hold on, Giannis. All right, so a lot of people have been talking about Giannis to San Antonio. As you know, they just lost against the Pacers. Not looking great. I think we can all say that the experiment with Dame did not pan out maybe the way that fans thought it would pan out, right? Um, and you can have you can see this after the game. Giannis is getting into it with Tyrese Hallebertton’s father, which I I actually have no idea. Oops. I have no idea what this is about. Like, what is this? like what what’s going on here? Like does anyone know any background here? Does anyone know what’s going on here? I don’t know. Um but with that being said, there has been quite a few rumors going around uh pertaining to the Spurs and Giannis. Now, from my understanding, okay, from what I’ve heard, there has been nothing surrounding like the Spurs going after Giannis, right? Like that I I feel like it’s kind of weird because like people keep bringing up KD and Giannis to San Antonio, which it’s it’s a possibility, but I think that it’s one of those where the Spurs are just keeping an eye on it as all teams are, right, to see if this is going to blow up and if they would have a chance at Giannis. Um, but I mean that’s just us doing our due diligence. I don’t know if it’s as aggressive as people trying to make it out to be. Uh, just being real with you, okay? I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the Spurs did not grab or go all out to grab KD or Giannis. Like I I just wouldn’t be shocked. Um, I’m totally fine with not doing it, by the way. All right, so let’s take a look at what Jake Fischer had to say on this whole situation. Hold on, let me turn this desktop audio on. All right, I see some people in the chat talking about the Spurs. San Antonio is definitely going to be without a doubt a team that is looking to continue to upgrade and add talent around Victor Wanyama. We’ve we’re already seeing the process happen. We’re seeing Chris Paul sign there. We’re seeing them make a move and go out and get the guard that they were looking for. They were looking to pair Victor Romanyama with an all-star level guard. There could have been many options on the board. Rich Paul, I probably should make this make this statement right now. If the Spurs were to get Giannis, hypothetically, I I think I think we’re I think we’re a deep playoff team right off the bat. Is that crazy to say? Like like I think I think we’re legit contender right off the bat if you go and get Giannis. uh another year uh Wimby had under his belt. You got Fox, he’ll get some more uh run time. I I think that we might have some, you know, ups and downs, but I would say by mid-season, this team would be pretty nasty with Giannis. Um but yeah, say Giannis’s 30s, that’s nowhere near too old. Did someone say he was too old? I I wouldn’t say Giannis is too old. When talking about the timeline that we always bring up, I I feel like KD, it’s like you have to maximize as much as humanly possible in a short period of time, which that makes me a little nervous. Like that that’s what it would really come down to. And you would also give up quite a few pieces for that. When it comes to Giannis, I I I would love to have Giannis, but I’m completely content with not doing it, right? I maybe I just maybe I’m too optimistic. Maybe I believe in uh this upcoming draft a little bit too much. None neither one of the players that we grab are probably going to end up being Giannis’s, right? Uh but you know, may maybe I’ll just have too high of hopes there. Rich Paul CEO Clutch Sports CEO Rich Paul wanted either his guy Darius Garland there last summer. Clan, who would you give up for Greek? I mean, honestly, everybody. Anybody you want, honestly. any anybody you want. I I would try my best to hang on to obviously Fox and Wimi, then it’s kind of like free-for-all. Like, I don’t I don’t really care at that point. If you’re getting Giannis, y’all, like that’s kind of crazy. But I I’m also But the thing is I also care more about depth like than anything. Like, you can kind of look at uh some of the teams right now, right? Like the Lakers versus the Timberwolves. like Lakers. Yeah, you got LeBron and you got Luca and obviously Luca is like one of the greatest players that we’ve ever seen, but then you take the Timberwolves and Ant is incredible as well, but they have just more depth. That’s really what it comes down to. They just have so much more depth. Um, and you know, they just look a little bit more impressive than the Lakers. You know, you know what I mean? Win new Spurs invasion. Do not do not worry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Okay. I’ve been very busy. This this month of May is going to be pretty tough. Um, but obviously with the draft and everything, like we got to talk. I I have to put a video out. Um, but after miday, that’s when I can really focus in or he wanted to get Darren Fox there and he got Fox there. So, what’s next? I mean, people on the league are already starting to whisper about San Antonio potentially being a spot to bring former Texas Longhorn Kevin Durant this summer. You best believe they would call about Giannis Hanto as well. So, that’s a team that people in the league are certainly looking at. I just don’t think it happens. I ju I just don’t think it happens. I felt like going after Fox, it just landed so perfectly. Everything was just so perfect. Spurs don’t want to give up give up too much, you know. Uh I don’t know. I don’t know. Giannis always praising Wimby. I love Giannis, y’all. Like I’m a big Giannis fan, right? Uh he he has the he has the heart of a champion. All those free throws he hit. How many free throws did he hit in a row and to to win the finals? That was incredible to me. Um because he was not a good free throw shooter, but he locked in. Do you guys remember he was like 100% from the line? He was unstoppable. No one was going to stop him from getting that championship. I don’t know. Clan, what’s your expectations for this off seasonason? Literally, my expectations are just get a couple draft picks and uh grow from it. Actually, I want to talk to you guys about that. That’ll be a different segment, but I want to talk to you about this draft briefly. something that uh my friend brought up to me that I thought was interesting, but we’ll make it another segment. Um I don’t know. Spurs said they want a super team. I don’t think Spurs said that. I don’t think Spurs said they want a super team. Spurs said that they want a dynasty. I don’t think they want They said they want a super team. I don’t remember them saying that. Crazy superstar trade signing, crazy draft odds, make a deep bench. What do you think is gonna happen for this off seasonason? Oh, okay. Honestly, if I put my money on it, I would say that the Spurs are just going to enhance their bench, enhance their starting lineup, get a new small forward, get a backup uh big man. I wouldn’t be too hung up on uh grabbing a center, like a traditional center or, you know, whatever that is nowadays. Uh, I would be more so hoping that we just get like a versatile big man that comes off the bench that can play defense. Uh, that that’s really what you want, right? And even in this draft, you could probably get that. Uh, but I I was taking a look. The reason why I went around or went back on this a little bit is actually watching the Timberwolves, right? Like the Timberwolves were way better when Goar was out of the lineup and that would be the closest thing to a traditional center uh that they have, but when he was out of the lineup and they had more versatile defenders, they looked better. I mean, I guess offensively, too, but they just look better overall. I was like, yeah, we we can’t we don’t need to focus too much on position. As long as they’re a big man that can defend, have some versatility, we’re totally fine. Spurs managed to win quite a few games or at least be in a lot of games with Sohan being center, right? And he should not be a center or guarding centers, but you know, just get you another versatile big man. A little bit bigger than than Sohan. I think we’re I think we’re good. I think we’re golden. I'm not giving up Castle for him
Giannis' age must be considered heavily when putting a package to get him though his playing style wont seem to decline with age coz he doesnt rely on jumpshot. I would say he has 5 more prime years left at max. Anyway whatever package it will be please dont include castle at all cost. That kid will become better than sga, mark my words.
I'd rather go after Jaren Jackson Jr, Naz Reid, cam johnson. Really depends alot how the ping pong balls drop in the lottery
Sorry, fellas… Castle will be the starting piece. We're not going to fleece Milwaukee like the Kings. We got Fox cause it was rumored his preferred destination was the Spurs, and he's a Texas kid. Giannis would have to demand a trade and mention the Spurs as one of his preferred destinations to have a shot at not sending Castle.
Love Castle, but I just don't think he has the impact Giannis would have, even with the age disparity. Giannis and Wemby would three-peat.
I want to keep Castle. The Kawhi that we saw in his first year was not superstar that he became four years later. Are we willing to wait for the superstar that Castle, a 2-way player like Kawhi, MIGHT become soon?
Man, y’all are forgetting what we’re gonna have to give up to get him. You’re gonna have to sacrifice your bench and depth for one superstar that is what is plaguing these teams around the NBA right now that is what’s plaguing the bucks that’s what’s plaguing the Suns that’s what’s plaguing the Lakers. The big three era is dead. And don’t try to tell me about the spurs big three because they took pay cuts to stay together. No big names on this era are willing to do that! Use our draft capital to draft and develop! No team is better than drafting and developing like the Spurs. Let the process happen organically and we will be relevant for a decade.! Don’t rush it!

You want Giannis and the first draft pick for Flagg, this is biblical level greed.
I don't think Giannis or KD will end up in SA. All these rumors are just talk. The biggest indicator to me that it won't happen is that neither of those players fits the Spurs culture, in my opinion.
I would rather the Spurs keep Castle in a trade for Giannis. I think it would be good for Wemby to have another potential star young player with him on the team. Let the Bucks choose between Vassell, Keldon, or Sochan then add Barnes as salary filler. The Bucks would probably want 3-4 1st round picks. The Spurs starters could be Wemby, Giannis, Champagnie, Fox, Castle but the bench would have to be filled with vet minimum and 2nd round draft players as the starters would take up all the cap space.
Castle 🏰 is not going anywhere! He is a special player not near his prime! Trading him would be a huge mistake.

While the idea of a Giannis pairing with Wemby sounds amazing I don’t see how it happens, one we would have to give up too much losing depth, two Giannis would be a better fit in LA as LeBron steps away.
The spurs have the most leverage of any team in the league with the draft capital and the most money to spend also giannis still has 5 to 8 more good years left and he's in his prime

In my opinion Castle, Sohan, hell even KJ for our bench needs are untouchable in any trade. I also feel the spurs have leverage in any trade scenario.

We should absolutely NOT go after KD in any sense of the meaning. It may be a hot take, but he does not contribute to winning basketball anymore. Ever since he left golden state, he has tried to effectively build his own team, regardless of who's already at the team before he gets there. They may start strong, but he and the team get progressively worse resulting in coach firings, front office chaos, and no future to rebuild. He and all that he brings is a team blackhole of a cancer. His stats and bucket getting may be glamorous and enticing, but absolutely NOT worth what comes with it.
Giannis on the other hand could very well work as a companion big next to wemby, and sochan off the bench will give opposing bench players seizures in frustration since he is already a menace on opposing starters. Only possible problem is if he's willing to be a number two option, given he's been de facto number one the whole time.

And honestly you don’t even have to give them that much because you have the leverage. The Bucks organization and franchise is going to be shit. You have Giannis who is still really good, you have Dame who is injured for the next year, Brook Lopez is 37 with an expiring contract, they have no draft In the first and second round until 2031… they really don’t have a lot of options. I would give them a ticket or leave it deal and try to finesse them
