Inside the NBA REACTS to Warriors vs Rockets GAME 7 Highlights

I I do I think the Rockets going to win tonight. Steph’s going to be aggressive, but it’s not going to be enough. I feel really I’m guaranteeing the Rockets win tonight. Guarantee. Oh, guarantee. [Music] All right, Chuck. Guarantee me losing the lottery. Please, says Virgo. Virgo. It’s inside the NBA. It’s presented by Kia. They raised them lottery prices on me, too. 11:13 uh here on the east coast as we just brought you our second uh consecutive game seven on one Saturday, one Sunday and this one won by the Golden State Warriors over the Houston Rockets 103 to 89. Buddy Heel had himself a huge night tonight. Um 33 points and he is standing by in Houston to join us. Buddy, thanks a lot for taking a little time with us. Um, hey look, on a on a roster that’s loaded with guys who have all this playoff experience, you know, more than a hundred guys like Steph and Jimmy and Dre, here you are playing in your 11th playoff game, and you’ve just done something that Warrior fans and you yourself will never forget. Tell me about this 33-point night. Uh, just first of all, like I said earlier, all glory to God, man. Without him, uh, this would not be possible. you know, I was spiritually locked in, you know, just keeping my mind right, you know, and just talking to God and uh just know I had to come through and help my team. And uh but shout out to Houston, you know, there’s they’re a great team. They they bring it to us all night. I mean, every game, you know, and uh they stick with it and they’re well coached. Uh they’ll be special in the future to come. Buddy, what’s up? My Bohemian brother. I play with a lot of great shooters. Glenn Rice, B Shaw, Big Shot Bob, another Bohemian brother, Rick Fox. And when they miss shots, they used to talk to themselves. So my question is when you miss the open shots that you’re supposed to make, does Steph say something to you or do you talk to yourself and say I know I need to knock him down? No. Uh just I just I I already know what to do. I’m uh I I call Steph all world. I already know I’m all world what I do and uh just next shot mentality. Don’t dwell on it. Just move on to the next shot. I’ve I’ve worked too hard. Uh I’ve came far from a far journey uh from where I came from from Bahamas. And uh every time I come step on this basketball court, I try to represent me, my family, and uh I thank God every day for this blessing me opportunity. Hey buddy, number one, congratulations. After losing game six at home, y’all had to be kind of a little shell shocked. How did y’all regroup? So, what did coach say and what did the the veteran guys say to you, your young guys? You know, uh last yesterday when we get to Houston, we had a very emotional um meeting led by Draymond and uh Steph and Jimmy. And uh from from then I was just locked in and uh just get my spirit together and it just like just the the the meeting we had was just like just better give everybody chills and uh we we know when it’s when they go to battle. We know what that means and uh meeting was was well well needed. Well, buddy, congratulations first of all, but you know, you’ve been a scorer your whole life. And are you surprised how many open looks, not only the ones that you get on your own, but the open ones you get playing with Steph in the back court? Uh, you know what? Uh I I yes I am surprised because uh you know he drops so much attention but uh just coming down and just making the mental ones you know the ones that wide open and uh the contested ones that you get that you have to shoot cuz it’s in the flow of the game you know and uh just trust your work man and keep shooting but uh Steph has a lot of tensions and uh like tonight I was able to be able to be free and and knock them down. Buddy, I’m intrigued by the answer to the previous question about the the meeting and how emotional it was. What can you share with an outsider about the things that were said that night? You know, it just just shows that uh game six was not locked in. We we know Dre Dre put all the blame on him just getting himself ny. You see him today. He was not freaking with the refs. He didn’t miss me nobody. He was just being Draymond Green all defensive player. He’s our team leader. He’s our spirit animal. And uh he was he was there for us and today and uh he just we just just followed their lead, you know, and uh we know how much this game meant for them. And uh we just collectively had a meeting and we just figured it out. 33 points on 12 out of 15 shooting. Uh you tied the record, by the way, for most threes in a game seven in NBA history with your nine tonight. Congratulations, man. And thank you so much for the time. We appreciate it. Hey. Hey. Shout out to the Bahamas. Yep. I’ll see you, brother. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Love. What a night. What a night. Yes, that was a great game. I wonder if they’re going straight to Minnesota or going to go home tonight. No. No. Two days they’re going to Minnesota straight there Tuesday. Plane was ready. That’s what I’m asking. Play plane was ready. Plane was ready with would close the for for two days in Minnesota if you were the Golden State waters. That was the thing. The difference, you know, to me I I did think that uh Houston had a good game plan and it worked, you know, for game five and six, but I thought they overextended the game plan a little bit tonight. Uh being at home, Steph Curry was, you know, aggressive, but he was mildly aggressive. And so that left shooters open in key moments, taking five-point leads to eight and eight-point leads to 11. So I I just thought that they were a little bit overaggressive in in the double team or not rotating off of Steph Curry to leave guys wide open. Yeah, they played their game. They, you know, they took Houston out of their game mentally. You know, Jaylen Green, I I I love him, but he’s going to have to learn how to in big moments, you got to be big. You want to be touted as a superstar, you got to play like a superstar. Not blaming the loss on them. I’m just saying as a youngster, when they’re looking at you as next, you got to step up. But Golden State, they played a beautiful game. Other carried the way. Uh I’ve I’ve had, you know, others carry carried the way from me plenty of times. Buddy had a great game. I’m happy for Buddy. I’m happy for Golden State. Yeah, that was a that was a the Rockets, they had a tremendous season. Uh they got to work on their game, man. Jaylen Green, four out of six out of seven games single digits. That just can’t happen. Like uh there’s no excuse for that, plain and simple. On the Golden State side, by the way, 31 turnovers in the previous two games. Only seven turnovers in game seven as they win it and advance. And if you’re just joining us, um the Knicks and Celtics start their series tomorrow. Uh the Nuggets and Thunder do the same. So that’s our double header on Monday. But as I was saying, if you’re just joining us and you’re saying, “Hey, how did that Warriors Rockets game seven play out?” Here we go. Say, “Amen, brother.” A superstar right there, brother. You got to work on his offense. Um, that’s when you know you’re on a heater right there. Yeah, I think so. That’s the end of the first quarter for Buddy Healed. And then back door with a four-point lead. Yeah. Back door to Jimmy Butler. Steph was open back door too. Then this is what I’m talking about the overextending and allow guys driving lanes because there’s no help no help to cover again. Why you leaving this guy open? But he’s open and and underneath is open guys. Why you Why is this guy open? You worried about Steph. You worried about trying to trying to help you. Steph’s not even in these pictures. Stop it. They just This dude is wild on. That’s ridiculous. They’re not over because you’re not rotating. No, that’s not that’s there’s no rotation. Stop it. 22 in the half. Curry’s first bucket came there with 33 seconds to go in the first half. And now look at this by Amen Thompson. Say amen, brother. Man, is that that is special. Looking like Richard Dumis. 5139 at the break. Golden State. Oh, Brandon Pachki, man. Okay, PJ puts him up 13. I’m glad he held on to that rim cuz that could have been painful. Oh, Thompson as they cut into the lead with a 14-4 run. You know, they made a really nice run when they were getting out in the fast break. They just couldn’t sustain it. Now, this play, Amen Thompson comes down and grabs the left calf. And later when Curry hit a three, Thompson obviously was feeling that had pulled up on the play. Here’s step. Might have been a travel, but he got away. Yeah, it may have been. It was Well, that was three steps. We don’t call the traveling NBA, obviously. Jabari Smith, he can shoot that thing. He can knocks down a three. Needs to play a little bit more though. Got other. He He definitely got no problem, man. What kind of beat picked by Steph? Come on. You’re not leaving. Stop hand down. 7562 now. 7566. And here’s Shenon. Rockets trying to hang in there. Jimmy Butler all the way to the cup. 10-point lead. Good day D, man. And on this play, Van Fleet with the shove on Jimmy Butler. Flag in it. That was a clear path. I’m glad Jimmy didn’t overreact. Yes. No need. You got the game one. 8474. And then Butler. Oh, got him. Sweet spot. Ah, had 20. And Steph, he makes it look effortless. That’s our Buddy Heel made it look effortless, too. 33. Pony. Oh, good night night. Night night in Houston. 103 to 89. The Golden State Warriors take game seven in Houston. And uh healed with his 33. Curry 2210 and seven. That was the only double double for a Warrior in the series. And um for the Rockets, 21 from Shenon, 24 from Amen Thompson. And here is their head coach, Emanuela. And what were the main source of the offensive issues that you guys had tonight? Uh missed shots. Um close range shots. I think 23 for 55 in the paint. Uh a lot of really good looks there. Didn’t get up that many threes, only 18 on the night. Made six of them. So that’s a low number for the the threes that we have been generating. And then the zone that they ran got us a little stagnant. Um, and but when we did find the openings in in the middle, uh, missed the threes that we kicked out or the the close-range shots. And so, um, as I said the other night, sometimes shots go in and makes it it masks some things. And, um, tonight stood out the other way. I know it’s kind of hard to look at this immediately after the season ends, but how do you view this season as a whole? Some growth, some good, some bad. Um, obviously a a poor ending to play, you know, one of our worst games in the in the playoffs in in game seven. We had a few bad ones early and kind of corrected ourselves from there in a lot of ways on both sides of the ball and then to come out a little bit flat tonight. Um, obviously that’s going to leave a sour taste in our mouth for sure, but um, you look at big picture the growth that we made. Um, you know, now we just said no more victories and whatever. we could be much more consistent, but getting to the two seed and 50 whatever wins and the growth that guys have showed kind of have a blueprint for where we want to be and the standard on a year-to-year basis. But, um, all that doesn’t really matter when you go out with a, you know, a chance to move on obviously and in advance and, um, you know, like I said, kind of laying an egg in our last game. It’s going going to sting for a minute. Rockets won points in the paint 4634. Second chance points 15 to nothing. Fast break points 10-2. But the Golden State Warriors were plus 36 from three. And they end the season for the Houston Rockets. And it’s just the third time in the last 25 years that a number seven beat a number two. Yeah, they got some big decisions to make. Number one, that’s Stephen Adams, man. If I’m a contender, I’m going to go after him cuz I cuz the Rockets are not contenders yet. Steven Adams could help a contender for sure. Uh obviously they probably going to pick up the option on Van Bleet for 44. You think they’re going to pick up the 44? Yeah. Jeez. That’s a big decision because no that that to me is not that to me is not the big decision. It’s saying pick up a option or give but that’s only one give him a longer deal. Uh I don’t know about that now. Yeah. Let’s let’s listen to Steve Kirk live. team and had a great season. Um couldn’t be more proud of our guys. Um that was um an incredibly impressive uh display of resolve, discipline. Um the defense was fantastic. The ball security uh kind of game plan discipline followed to a tee and then multiple guys stepping up. Buddy healed. Um I don’t know what to say. I mean, that was uh that was really incredible watching him light it up um in that first half especially and then down the stretch as well. But uh uh I can’t say enough about our guys and um you know what they were able to to do in this series and to to pull this thing out on the road in game seven. Pretty impressive. Steve, they they cut a 15-point lead down to like three. Jimmy gets that corner three out of a double team and then he finds Draymond twice and then it looks like maybe in in the uh huddle between the third and fourth you guys make an adjustment to get Steph attacking the rim a little bit and you got him free. What did you guys do there? Well, it’s always matchup based and um you know, so if if um if you can find an advantage um with the personnel they have on the floor, u you know, then you um you you try to get you know, Steph and pick and roll with with um you know, a particular player or two. And um I think it just kind of played out that way. the the way the game was going, you know, they’ve they’ve done a great job of taking away the Steph Draymond pick and roll all series by putting Fred Van Vleet on on Draymond and, you know, putting their center on one of our wings. And um so that was really a a a great strategic move for them. And I think in the fourth quarter um because of the matchups, we were able to get Draymond back in in the pick and roll with Steph a couple of times. I thought Steph was brilliant tonight. I I know he got us got got off to a slow start shooting the ball, but the whole key to the game was taking care of the ball and he managed the game beautifully and you know it’s just a matter of time before his shot goes in. But the reason we had the 11-point lead at half or whatever it was 12 um was because of the way Steph took care of the ball, got us into our offense and and settled the game down. Steve, you’ve been uh took some effort. Uh it did um 19 of his 22 coming in the second half tonight cuz the first half was you know he it was not a big scoring half for him and you thought well what kind of what of a night I look at it now I mean he hit half his shots he was 8 for 16 he was 4 for 10 from deep 2210 and seven tonight and he played a good game you know usually he plays a great game but he played a good game and the other played a great game everybody else followed suit. They played with poise, you know, they didn’t panic. No antics tonight and they played very well. I agree with everything that Steve Kerr said. He managed the game like a point guard should. Now, the the question from Minnesota is are they going to use similar tactics? I don’t think they are. And cuz, you know, me and Chuck, we always talk about this. When Rudy’s in the game, it’s a different ball game. So, you know, Steve talked a little bit about about matchups, but they’re they’re definitely going to be looking for the mismatch and looking for the pick and roll. Yep. um step basically for if you were in junior high school, high school or college, you say he played against a boxing one for the games uh for the series. So there’s two theories against a box in one. That’s what that was like. It’s two theories. Either you’re going to be ultra aggressive and take some tough shots or you’re going to spread the floor to allow your other guys to get wide open shots. In the first half, he elected to spread the floor and let his guys get open as you did in your pictures at the 100% they he played against a box that won. They were like, I don’t care where the ball is over there. I’m staying this way. My you’ll never see an NBA player with his the back of his head to the ball that that because he’s got to see what’s happening on the other side of the floor. They did not care. And Buddy Hill made them pay. Uh final word from you, Chuckster. Final word. Just two words. Buddy Hill. That was spectacular. And he was the difference in the game until Steph got going. It was all Buddy Hill. And Steph step closed it. But Buddy Hill, man, he was amazing tonight. And all power to him. Yep. Steph closed it with some help from Butler. Um, and they uh they win it 103 to 89. And so the Golden State Warriors move on to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves. 67 matchup for a shot at the Western Conference Finals. Uh when we come back, series opener in Cleveland. How about the Pacers tonight? [Music]

  1. The Rockets have been losers since, they won their two NBA Titles back in the mid 1990s, they can't get through the playoffs without bumbling. Every year, they're in the top five in the west conference, and they fail in the first or second round of the playoffs.

  2. Gotta address the 🐘 in the room here…. Jalen Green had an epic meltdown after game 2 in this series. Worst meltdown since LeBron 2011. I’ll say it he is supposed to be the guy on the Rockets avg over 21 during the season and is paid as a franchise player.Took 8 shots in game7 had 6 single digit scoring games in series. He cost Houston the SERIES PERIOD

  3. Dillion β€œI feel sorry for them-they beat Memphis just to lose in the first round against us." Brooks

  4. $46K in profit from XRP but I am making the swap to +XAI33 to be my main bag. Major exchanges listing it soon πŸ’°πŸ’°

  5. my 50K investement in +XAI33 is already sitting at 1Mil,, does that mean it will go more then10mil ?? – hard to believe but will be hella crazy

  6. So happy for Steph Curry and GSW!!! Love seeing the older greats win!!! They going to have to play like that against Minnesota or it’ll get ugly real fast. IMO

  7. Another example of why Steph Curry is one of my all time favorite players. He doesn't mind being a decoy for his teammates and he's even willing to sacrifice his body to set screens for them.

  8. Kudos to ime udoka for this clean and fair game, there boys atleast played fair not so dirty, he give the warriors a great game before the warriors going to finals
