Los Angeles Clippers vs Denver Nuggets Live NBA Live Stream
Funny how many it’s it’s weird that there’s like a legacy on the line in a sense for the Clippers tonight where it’s on one end they were favored entering this series and they had the 2-1 lead and people have all these narratives about Harden but at the same time these guys are expected to win 30 games this season and like were expected to feed OKC’s uh lottery pick. So it’s interesting to see what mentality do these guys come in with. Do they come in with like that like that that kind of freedom or do they come in with tension of, oh, we blew it or the freedom of we’re playing with house money? Well, hopefully they feel somewhat at home because Steve Balmer flew out a bunch of people from the swell and they’re building their own wall at Ball Arena. How incredible is this? That’s probably one of the coolest things, if not the coolest thing, I’ve seen an owner do in sports. Apparently, he chartered them out, too. Wow. Didn’t even have to fly commercial. Unreal. Clipper Nation. It’s kind of the coolest thing I’ve ever heard. This is uh the advantage of having the best owner in sports. Ownership. The biggest advantage in sports. Clipper Nation, you got Steve Balmer. Somebody said online, too, that they uh somebody was like, “Oh, I dare them to do that.” Like, that’d be cool. Like yesterday, bet. I saw that online and I was like, I wonder if someone saw that and they’re going to do it and then they ended up doing it. Incredible. We’re just about 28 minutes away from tip off Clippers in a game seven taking on the Denver Nuggets. Farbot S and Sharie was our guest from SI now. Farbot between everybody at the wall and you doing this hit here on the radio side. Maybe the Clippers will have a little bit of luck when they need it late in this ball game. Thanks for doing this. No problem. Have a good one. I’m going to go run in stress right now. This is the best way to work off the stress. Believe me, I got my workout in earlier. Clippers will get theirs in. Mile High in Denver. Tip off 28 minutes away. Up next, La Murray of the Athletic from Ball Arena. I’m Adam Osland. You’re listening to the Los Angeles Clippers audio network. Clippers in game seven from Ball Arena in Denver. Tip off is just about 25 minutes away. Welcome back in. I’m out of Mosland. Coming up, back to Carlo Jimenez. But first, let’s get to him. Second day on the show. It’s the return of La Murray of the Athletic at La Murray. The NU is where you find him. And he’s just dropped some breaking news. DJ Derek Jones Jr. is in the starting lineup next to Norm Kawawaii, James Harden, and Avita Zubots. Law. The analytics say he’s played well next to them at an elite level all season long. I guess coach Lou had one more trick up his sleeve. Yeah, I I I love the decision because we were discussing yesterday that I really wasn’t um I really wasn’t feeling Nico being in the starting lineup uh just because it limits your options off the bench. Now I feel like you’re going to get Derrick Jones Jr. in that starting lineup. I feel like it’s almost inspired by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Um, and the lineup that they had last year in game seven right here in this building. Derek Jones Jr. is your Jaden McDaniels. Um, Carl Anthony Towns is is is now Kawhi Leonard. Rudy Goar is now a bit of Zubots. James Harden is the Anthony Edwards in that. And then Norman Pal is the Mike Connley. And so, you know, you you roll with this group. You know, Nico and is coming off the bench. you know, Bo Danbo Danvich is going to get his shot and I’m interested to see what happens with Chris Dunn and Ben Simmons. I feel like you can roll those guys in situationally uh just to steal minutes, but this pretty much is Toronto saying we are going to do something different, but it’s not what you guys have been trying to tell us to do all series. He keeps us guessing. I love the move as well. I think it helps that disrupting ripple effect of starting Batum and then do you get him out early to get him back with a small ball unit late in the first start of the second. This just makes things a lot more seamless. And Dererick Jones Jr. the numbers have said all season long he has been the guy next to the other four that has produced the most when you look at the analytics. This is a great move. Coach Lou is saving the best for last. We will see how it turns out. But this Clippers team will not be alone. The wall travels. Unbelievable. I can’t believe the atmosphere there right now. Law, you’re there. Can you describe it for us? What happened in this ball game? Man, it’s crazy. Um I’m I’m literally looking at all these people right over there. You know what I’m saying? And making making their own little wall, if you will. Uh it’s it’s it’s really amazing. Think about this. Five years ago, the Clippers lost to the Nuggets in the bubble. there wasn’t anybody in the stands except, you know, team personnel and and and the few invited guests that were allowed to be in the bubble. And now the Clippers were like, “Hey, we know that maybe some Avalanche fans went to Dallas or, you know, some people are watching the Kentucky Derby. Well, we’re going to occupy those seats for you.” So, that’s that’s uh this is already going to be a hype environment. Um, and I hope I hope these people go home happy. Let’s just put it that way. Win for the wall. Thank you, Steve Balmer. An unbelievable move. Chartered them over there to have. That’s confidence, man. I’ll tell you that much. Yeah. Uh it could make all the difference in the world. Speaking of difference, you mentioned Norman Pal yesterday saying that he’s the guy that you’re looking at. If he plays well in this ball game, uh that could pretend good things for this Clippers team. Yeah. Uh it’s just Denver’s not good defensively. Okay. They can be good enough at times and we’ve seen that in this series. But overall, this is an opportunity here for the Clippers offense to put these dudes away. Like you you know that Denver’s got a great offense. They got two great offensive players in this game. Okay, you have Aaron Gordon who’s going to make things hard on you. You have Russell Westbrook who’s going to obviously play with the level of intensity that, you know, he can’t really turn off. So, you know, other than that, there’s not a lot of players for Denver. And on the other hand, there are a lot of players for the Clippers, but they have to play well. Those guys have to play well. And when it comes to Norm, I just keep going back to I I didn’t calculate the exact number of weeks and days, but first road game of the season was right here in Denver on a Saturday, front end of a back to back. And that dude Norm Cook the Nuggets like 22 fourth quarter points, 14 baskets from the field, and I think he had seven threes. So seven threes and seven inside the three-point line. And honestly, that was with air coffee playing fourth quarter minutes. That was with Terrence man starting the game. The Clippers are a better, more optimized team if nothing else because Kawhi Leonard is going to be available, right? And so that’s what has to happen. I feel like I I think James is going to get attention. Zoo is a center. You already know where he’s going to be. And Kawhai is going to get attention. It’s going to be so hard for the Nuggets to account for all that. take those guys away and then take Norm Powell away. Norm Powell only has two quarters in this series where he’s had double digit points. I think he needs at least two quarters with double digit points today and that I think that might be the difference between the Clippers advancing or not. We’ve seen the Clippers adjustment. DJ starting. What do you think David Adelman can do because he’s limited more so with his options? What could be a wrinkle or a player who could play more? That’s that’s unexpected. That’s unexpected. I don’t know, man. I don’t know. Peyton Watson’s your seventh guy. DeAndre Jordan’s your eighth guy. After that, it’s the only other guys who’ve been in the rotation all season have been Julian Strawther who’s been phased out ever since he came back from injury and and and Picket who Picket had a nice little run, but that’s too many small guards, especially against this team. Picket hasn’t Pickicket’s been phased out of this series. So, I mean, there are no surprises. That’s the thing with the Nuggets. You know who they’re going to play. You know those, you know, who’s going to play a lot and who they can’t afford to play a lot. You know, I’m interested to see how Michael Porter Jr. comes out because Michael Porter Jr. had a really rough game six. We all know Michael Porter Jr. is playing through injury. We know he’s a mark on on defense. They’re going to start the game. Porter Junior is going to guard Derrick Jones Jr., you know. Um I really just don’t know how you’re going to approach it if you’re if you’re the Nuggets. There’s just not just not enough guys. So that’s where that’s where I’m at. What do you expect from Joic after just five points in the second half of game six? More free throws and more threes. He’s going to get to the line more. That’s just Yeah, that’s just what’s going to happen. Like for the entire team, game six was the only time all season we’re talking 88 games. It’s the only time the Nuggets attempted fewer than 10 free throws, right? Um, the declarations have been made. Nicole Joic says that he has been guarding extremely well by Zoo, but most of it is Zoo making Joker question what he’s doing. Um, you know, I just feel like Joker is going to be more intentional. Either the three ball is going to fly or he’s going to go through Avisa Zubas’s body consistently. And so I and and again the Nuggets lost this game after having a 20-point lead last year. So I expect the most out of Nicole and and Nola and and Jamal had 30 points a piece in that game. It was their teammates who didn’t step up. I know Nicole is going to play well. I think Jamal is going to play well. I don’t know about anybody else. Interesting. He is La Murray of the Athletic at La Murray. The NU is where you find him. You found him on Clippers Talk all season long. Law, I’m hoping to find you an OKC on Monday night, my friend. But great job all year. Appreciate you. Let’s go Clippers. I want to see you in OKC on Monday. I’m sorry. Bag is packed. Let’s go. Coming up next, we got an NBA out of town scoreboard. And then Carlo Jimenez as we are just about 14 minutes away from tip off in game seven in Denver. Clippers and Nuggets and you’re listening to the Los Angeles Clippers audio network. Take us with you wherever you are on the iHeart Radio app. Back to Clippers playoff basketball. Clippers in Denver for game seven. Tip off is just 10 minutes away. Welcome back in. I’m out of Mland up. We’ll get your keys to victory. But first, back out to Balmer Ball Arena and back to your radio voice of the Clippers in Carlo Jimenez. Carlo the wall travels. What a scene you have in front of you right now. Feels like home, right? It really does. I mean, at one point the Denver in-house PA was saying Denver cra Denver Denver fans, let’s get loud. And then all you could hear were LAC chance and then in response to those you got booze from the Denver crowd. So you’re getting booze in your home arena for a fan base that is here. It is really uh I was talking to Dan Fitzpatrick who’s the Clippers lead v video coordinator and we were just talking about what what this is what this environment is like and he said look the greatest advantage in sports is ownership and it’s not cliche. It is very much true. And the Clippers being able to fly 120 fans out here to Ball Arena for a game seven. Just what more can you say about the Clippers organization and Steve Bomber from the into his home to this Adam? Nobody loves this team I think more than Steve. Yeah, I always say the Clippers were at a disadvantage for 40 years. Now they have the best owner in sports proving it once again. flying out Clipper Nation to make sure they have a homec court type of feel in this game seven. Just an unbelievable gesture. God bless Steve Galmer. All right. Now, God bless Coach Lou for pulling another trick a rabbit out of his hat, you could say. I mentioned earlier how, you know, it’s underrated how well DJ played in that game six. I don’t think it was lost on coach Lou who is starting Derek Jones Jr. in the ball game. Yeah, Adam, I went into the media room and and I texted I looked at Tom and I said, “This guy comes into his pregame press conference and says, “No more adjustments to be made. We’ll just roll with what we have.” And here he is adjusting the starting lineup. The the chiropractor strikes once again in Tailoo. I love this change for the Clippers. You get more athleticism. So many times Chris Dunn’s getting layups, reverse layups on those baseline cuts at him. These are now lobs to Derrick Jones Jr. He’s going to be that vertical threat and he is a good three-point shooter and has been this season. A career-high 35% on the season. So, I’d expect a big game from Derrick Jones Jr., but I think more of it is the defense honestly on Jamal Murray. Tailoo knows that Joic can have 40 and the Clippers can win. Jamal Murray having 40, it’s a lot harder to win the game simply because Joic is going to have that triple double that helps the team out, gets everybody involved, but you can’t let anybody else get going in an elite way. The Clippers want to shut down Jamal Murray. Carlo quickly, your player to watch in this game seven. My player Well, who’s your player to watch cuz we can’t overlap. I got to be Zubots. You know that. He’s my all-time player to watch. A big time player to watch there. Ah, going Derrick Jones Jr. Give me the starter. All right. That’s who I got. That’s who I got. It’s hard. Executive decision from Carlo Jimenez there. Let’s go. Clippers in a game seven in Denver. Tip off is just about 8 minutes away. Coming up next, your keys to victory. The loser packs it up until training camp in October. Let’s bring you the starting lineups. We’ll start with the visitors, your LA Clippers. A different starting lineup here in game seven. What more would you expect from head coach Terron Lou? James Harden will be the point guard, 65, 220 lbs out of Arizona State in his 16th NBA season. Harden three and three all-time in-game sevenmons. This is just the second of his career on the road. Norman Palby the Clipper shooting guard, 63, 215 lbs at a UCLA in his 10th NBA season. two- one all time in his game sevens. All of them with Toronto. Norm though has struggled a little bit on the road here in Denver. Can he find that offense at Mile High? But the difference in the starting lineup today, Derek Jones Jr. inserted for Chris Dunn at that small forward position. 66 210 lbs at a UNLV. He’s making his 56th start of the season. Derek has not started any of the playoff games, but he was a consistent starter for the Clippers to start the year. He gets the nod coming off a great defensive performance against Jamal Murray. Held him to just two makes on his six attempts in game six. Kawhi Leonard will be the Clippers power forward 67 225 lbs out of San Diego State in his 13th season. Kawawaii fourth in the NBA in fourth quarter points in the playoffs. Can he continue to be effective when the pressure is at its peak? Kavita Zubat will be the man in the middle. 7 ft 240 lbs in his ninth NBA season out of Croatia. Just the second game seven for Vita Zubatz in a starting role. Hey, let’s see if he can be effective on the offensive end for this Clipper team like he has been all series long. 19 points a game on 10 rebounds for Big Zoo. Meanwhile, for the Denver Nuggets, Jamal Murray plays the point guard position. 6’4, 215 lbs out of Kentucky in his eighth NBA season. Jamal has been known as a playoff riser and he takes that to another level in game sevens. His last two game sevens, Murray is averaging 38 points a game and he shot it at least 26 times in those two contests. Christian Brown will be the shooting guard for Denver 66 218 lbs out of Kansas in his third NBA season. Brown who has really turned it on these last three games of the series after averaging eight points a game in games one through three. He’s averaging 14 points a game in games 4 through six. Aaron Gordon will be the small forward for Denver. 6’8 235 lbs out of Arizona in his 11th NBA season. Gordon has only played a game seven once and it wasn’t pretty. Just four points in 42 minutes. He’ll look to bounce back here with the Nuggets. Michael Porter Jr. is the small power forward. 610 218 lbs out of Missouri in his sixth NBA season. Porter Jr. who did not play many minutes just 24 Thursday night in game six will look to be a force here in game seven Nicole Joic the man in the middle of the threetime MVP the reigning MVP 6’11 284 lbs in his 10th NBA season who said after game six this is without a doubt the best basketball in the playoffs if you’re a playoff fan you are tuning in to this game the Clippers head by Ty Louu in his fifth season with the Clips his ninth as a head coach it It’s his 48th birthday. Happy birthday, Ty Louu. Ty is 4-0 all time in game sevens. He is 2-1 all time on his birthday. The Denver Nuggets led by David Adelman. Adelman, who has been the head coach for the final three games of the regular season. And here in the playoffs, the son of Hall of Famer Rick Adelman will look to lead Denver in his first playoff series here in game seven. Well, the Clippers in the red jerseys. Los Angeles across the chest in blue. Numbers in white on the backside with blue stripes and red stripes down the side of the jerseys. Meanwhile, for Denver, they’re in the blue jerseys with the yellow numbers and yellow letters on the back with red mountains on the sides of the jerseys. The Denver logo outside of both of the kneecaps. Mile High City circles the numbers on the front of the uniforms. The Clippers had a season where the start was excellent when Kawhi Leonard joined them. They look like a team that could go the distance. They’ve stepped up against a team that won the championship just two seasons ago and has been a rock fight here against Denver. The Clippers have already exceeded expectations. We got third quarter action coming up with your radio voice of the Clippers in Carlo Jimenez here. All right, Carlo. Turnovers were an issue and that scoring drought where they couldn’t get a field goal in over four minutes to start that second quarter. It’s the first time this series, Adam, the Nuggets have outscored the Clippers in the second quarter. The Clippers were plus 17 in the second quarter coming into this game and just struggled in that one. Denver ends up going a plus 16 in the quarter. The Clippers offense, Adam, has really struggled to find its footing. It’s the second straight half, Adam, the Clippers have had just four made threes. They just had four in game number six, but what’s different between games six and seven is they trail at the break here in game seven. Kawhi Leonard’s been excellent on the offensive end, but the Clippers cannot allow Denver’s one and a half guys off the bench to outscore their depth. One of the advantages for the Clippers, Adam, coming in was the versatility, the depth of the Clippers. But Denver’s depth has outplayed them in this series. Yeah, Russell Westbrook with 10 points to outscore the seven points from Nico Batuman Bogey off the bench. Pton Watson at least. matches them with seven points of his own. He’s three of three. The role players are winning things on the margins right now for this Denver Nuggets team as Nico Yic and Jamal Murray have combined for just 15 points in the first half. The Clippers have kept them in check and going minus seven in those non Joic miss to start the second quarter. Just brutal there. Yeah, brutal. The Clippers can’t worry about it too much longer. Adam, the big stat that’s going to jump out to me. Ty Lou always mentioned and David Adaman talked about this too postgame, the importance of winning the 50/50 balls to getting to the ricochets, the ones out in open space. Denver Adam 11 second chance points. Clippers do not have any in this ball game. Excuse me. They have four in this ball game on three offensive rebounds. But in the second quarter, Denver outscored the Clippers 11 to zero on second chance points. The Clippers have to be better at getting to the 50/50 balls. They have to want it more. Tyler mentioned what does it take to win a game seven. He’s a head coach who’s won four of them in his career. He said it’s a mentality thing. It is not so much about X’s and O’s or tactics tactics. It’s purely the mentality that this team has to have. Yes, Will. It’s hard. It’s willingness to go out there and get it. But they also have 14 fast break points of the half. That tells you when they’re getting to those 50/50 balls, they’re pushing the pace somewhat. Denver. Yeah, Denver is running in transition and they’ve only had three turnovers. was Adam doing a good job of taking care of the ball. Adam, I’m sure you talked about it, but what do you want to see from this Clipper team? 24 minutes left in the season or if they can mimic Minnesota and have a second half comeback. Well, interesting to see what the starting lineup is to start the second half, but if Norman Pal is out there, he’s just two of five so far. They go often is how Norman Powell goes. He’s that X factor for this team. If he could get a bucket early on, that could go a long way for the squad. I’m going to read you the starting lineup right now, Adam. It’s Kawhi Leonard of the Zubots and Nico Batum, Norman Pal and James Harden. Well, Nico starting the second half for the second straight game. I like it. Sense of urgency. It’s a do or die contest right now. Coach Lou going with his guys. Yeah, no doubt. Nico was excellent. He is tied with Kawhi Leonard for the best plus minus in this series for the Clippers. Can he be the difference maker? 24 minutes left in the season or 24 minutes till OKC. We’re going to find out right now. Game seven, round one. Denver leads 58-47. Clippers right to left with the ball here in Denver. Hard left wing gives it up to Batum. Right corner. It’s Kawaii. He wants the three. It’s up. It’s in. Leonard rips the Cords and the Clippers are within eight. 58- 50 Denver. Leonard’s got 17 to lead everybody. Denver with the ball. 30 seconds in to the third. Porter Jr. finds Gordon far wing. It’s Murray. Bounce it baseline for Joic. One-on-one against Vita Zubox. Yic. Just nine first half points. Step back baseline jumper and he puts it in. Yic with the bucket. He had just five second half points in game six. He’s on the board to start the second half of game seven. Clippers down 10. Kawawaii in the right corner. Side step. Tough triple off the front of the rim, off the back of the rim. rebound. Joic and Denver, they can add to their lead. Their largest is 12. They’re up 10. Gordon in the left corner. Gordon the slow close out. Minute gone by. Third quarter. Gordon looking for Joic. Pump fakes a pass. 10 on the shot clock. Pedals free throw line. Rightwing Brown wide open three. Got it. Denver has their largest lead up 13. And Christian Brown has 14 points to lead everybody. Clippers into the front court 63- 50. But Zoom right corner. He’ll try the triple off the heel, off the backboard, and into the hands of Joic. Clippers under 30% from three. Denver over 43%. Joic finds the cutting. Gordon reverse layup and he dunks it through. And Tyoo is going to use a timeout. Minute and a half into the third. Denver has their largest lead, 65- 50. And the Clippers on their heels to begin the second half on your Clippers audio network. Well, Carlo, you come out, you get a three-pointer from Kawhi Leonard, but then two defensive miscues, a Brown three where he was wide open, and then Gordon getting an easy one in transition there. Yeah, the Clippers have had the third best defense in the NBA all season long. But Denver has made them look very porous since the start of the second quarter. The Nuggets, Adam, just scored 21 points in the first quarter. Since then, they have 42 in a quarter and a minute and a half, 65-50. Make it 44 points with 1027 to play in the third quarter of game seven. Adam, for the Clippers, it feels like defense more the issue than offense. They need to get back to doing what they do best. Disruptive defense that causes turnovers and some easy ones on the other end. They had 23 points off of turnovers last game. That’s the recipe. Yeah, the Clippers so far in this one just two points off three Denver turnovers in their wins in this series average about 18 points off turnovers. Nico Batum to throw it in. Clippers with the ball moving right to left. Denver has their largest lead 65 to 50. As we continue the third quarter in game seven, can the Clippers go on a run, keep their season alive? Carlo, yeah, if you’re the Clippers, Adam, there’s 150 Timber run right now. You’re probably feeling like you’re a little hazy. Backs on the canvas. This is not where you want to be in this series. Although, Adam, I bring up game four down 20 to start the fourth quarter. The Clippers took a lead in that fourth quarter, which makes this 23-point lead with 9 minutes to play in the third and a whole fourth quarter seems surmountable for the Clippers. Yeah, I wonder where co coach Lou goes here if he goes to his offensive lineup that he used that zone with in that fourth quarter of game four to try to shake things up a little bit. Yeah, the Clippers are going to need to get creative here. 150 Denver run. Big time shots for the Nuggets. And Adam, the three-point line has been well, it’s been not kind to the Clippers. 27% from the line in this game. Denver 50% so far in this one. Tough to overcome that disparity. Just feeds and fires and it’s off the front of the rim. Rebound Michael Border Jr. Denver up 23. Largest comeback in a game seven. The Nuggets were involved in it. Minnesota down 20 last year. Picked up by Porter Jr. The Nuggets continue the climb with little resistance. Murray on the far wing with a right-handed dribble. 740 to play in the third. The Clippers season on the line. They’re down 25. They have the largest comeback in a playoffs ever. Down 31. Ranked corner three from Porter Jr. is short. Rebound Zubots. That came in game two of 2019. Norman Pal zigs and zags into the paint. Right-handed layup. Skips by Joic for two. Clippers finally get on the board. That ends the 170 Denver run. And with 718 to go in the third at 7552, Christian Browns is going to let the ball roll. The Clippers have to go guard him. Christian picks up the ball, dribbles into the front court with a right hand, switched on by Baton. Bounce it to Joic on the left elbow. Back to the basket. Jokic has been quiet with 11 points on 10 shots. In the paint, flip to the cutting ground. Poked away by Leonard. Picked up by Baton. Flippers with the ball down 23. Harden in traffic. Goes up. Lost it. No whistle. Rebound. Porter Jr. Joic and Denver with the ball. Joic straight away. Pump fakes. Finds Brown to the cutting. Murray. Zubox. The close out. Left-handed layup off the window for two. Murray the bucket. Denver up 7752. Norman Pal finds Kawawaii left wing. Holds it above his head. 6 and 12 to go here in game seven. And the Clippers down big. Kawawaii left wing. Dribbles with the left hand and fouled. Oh, the Jokic on the reach and it’s on the ground. It’s his second fourth team foul though. So, the Clippers in the bonus for the final 625 of the third quarter and they have shot the ball well from the free throw line. 7 for seven. Zumats to check out. Derek Jones Jr. to check in. So, the Clippers do go small here with Kawhai Norm Batum at Derek and Harden. Tallest player is Batum at 68. Harden in between the ring. 10 on the shot clock finds the cutting Derrick Jones Jr. where the head is seam to the rim. Lings it up with a left hand and gets a friendly bounce. 7754. Denver’s been excellent on the offensive end through the first half of the third. Joic at the free throw line. Spins basum. Stumbles down the left alley. Pump base fakes. Goes up. Batsum called for the foul as Joic will step to the line. 80% free throw shooter. Nola two for three in this ball game. Eight assists, eight rebounds, and 13 points. He buries the free throw. 224 Denver run. Clippers with the ball. Well, Denver had a 22-7 run earlier in the game. Norm left wing attacks, dribbles it off his left foot, out of bounds to Denver. That’s kind of how this game has gone for the Clippers. Turnover after turnover. Uncostly errors. 80 to 54 Nuggets. 545 to go. They’re called the comeback Clips. This would be a comeback of all time. Gordon reverse dunk on the baseline on a Brown lob. 8250 for Nuggets. They’re up 28. Game seven, round one. Denver dominating the third quarter. Derek Jones Jr. in the lane of Kawawaii. Straight away, pump fake. Drips through going right. Looks for a friend. Swings it. Norm left corner. Attacks with seven to shoot. Floats it up. No. And a rebound. No. A foul is going to go on Porter Jr. on the shove of Derek Jones Jr. And does Adelman want a challenge? Bdanovich is going to check into the ball game. He will get not sure who referees still talking about it. We have not seen a replay up on the video board. 8254 Denver up by 28. Derek Jones Jr. is shooting two. This is going to be over the limit. 15 foul. 518 to play. Derek seven points for the Clippers in the first quarter. He’s got nine so far as he connects on the free throw. 10 now for Jones Jr. matching the most he’s had in a game this series. Had that in game one. Norman Pal’s going to go to the bench. Norman has struggled in this game. Three for eight from the field with six points. Clippers still have been unable to hit threes. Just five for 18. They were down 20 to start the fourth in game four. Leonard who talked about during this run he’s just trying to cherish every moment. The last couple of playoffs he has not played had to watch due to injuries. He’s thankful to be out there playing with his teammates. Second free throw. Yes. 8257 our score. Denver up 25. 508 to go in the third quarter. The Nuggets have missed two shots in seven minutes. Gordon out to Brown straight away on the left. Alley skips by Leonard. Gets to the rim. Layup blocked by Kawawaii. Out of bounds off the right kneecap of the cameraman on the baseline and to Denver with 458 to play in the third. Brown has been excellent for Denver. He’s got 14. Gordon with 18. Those two have really stepped up for the Nuggets. Joic catches on the right wing. Holds the ball to the left hip. Working on Harden into traffic. who lost underneath for Gordon. Nuggets have outscored the Clippers in this quarter 26-12 and out of the Clippers on the wrong side of a Denver Avalanche here in this third quarter. But this is the comeback Clips. They’ve been known in their history for their big comebacks. They’re going to need maybe the biggest of franchise history when you think about the moment and the situation here in Denver. They’ve had a 31-point comeback in the playoffs. They’ve had a 27-point comeback in the playoffs, a 25point comeback in the playoffs back in 2021 against the Utah Jazz. This would be the alltimer if they could somehow find a way to switch up the energy here because right now the Denver Nuggets are just taking them taking it to them. The onslaught that’s going on, the shooting exposition exhibition that has been going on for the Denver Nuggets, it has been tough to watch here as the Clippers, their offense has failed them at times, but also defensively a lot of miscues out there. Carlo. Yeah, the Clippers had them four turnovers here in the third quarter and defensively given up wide openen looks to Denver who have turned that defense into offense. You mentioned those three times the Clippers have trailed big. 31 against Golden State on April 15th, 2019. 27 against Memphis on April 29th, 2012. 25 against Utah on June 18th, 2021. For the Clippers, Adam, what’s what’s the thing they have to do better if they want to come from behind? You got to take care of the basketball, and you got to find a way to get stops on the other end, first of all, and defend without fouling. But offensively, they’ve had far too many self-inflicted wounds. Four minutes to play in the third quarter of game seven. Round one, winner will play OKC on Monday. Clippers down 84 to 59. Westbrook at the line. 72% free throw shooter this series. 66% in the regular season. He cans the first. One more coming for Russ who’s got 11 points. He’s been excellent all series. He’s short on the first just 58% here in the playoffs. Avita Zubat who talked about this summer understanding that he was going to have to play more. I don’t know if he imagined playing the second most minutes for this Clippers team at 33 but said he did more conditioning a lot more running up and down. Misses both free throws. Bogey taps the rebound at half court. Clippers have it down 25 with the ball. Bogey pass underneath for catches. Goes up. Couldn’t finish. It’s short. Rebound in the air once again. Murray tracks it down far corner met by Derek Jones Jr. He brings it forward. Murray straight away to Brown into the corner. Russ is open. Bogdanovich the close out. Left wing Brown three burries it. 8961 Denver by 28. They match their largest hit of the game. Brown’s got 19. Kawawaii’s fouled on a right-handed push shot and he will shoot two. Christian Brown averaged 11 per game in the previous six games of this series. So, two free throws coming here for the claw who is a perfect seven for seven. The foul on Joic. That’s five. Joic has five fouls. 225 to go. Well, Denver’s not worried about it. They’re up 28, but DeAndre Jordan is going to check in. Denver had the worst offense in the league as Kawaii hits the first free throw when Joic was on the bench according to offensive rating. So this I mean a large deficit but something to watch for. The Nuggets could not score when Joic was out of the game in the regular season. Now if the Clippers can get going on the offensive end, Joic has those five fouls. We’ll see if they can trim away down 8962. Leonard hit the first free throw. Second one for the claw short off the front of the rim twice. His first miss on his ninth attempt. Denver with a ball. 220 to go. Murray took over in game five when Joic was on the bench. We’ll see if we see more from Jamal on the left wing. Crosses back and forth hard on the switch. Steps back. Looks for space. Double team comes. Swings it. Deflected. Stolen by the Clippers. Bdonovich has it. Bounce pass Jones Jr. to the rim. Up and under. Layup foul. It’s on Westbrook. That’s his third. So Russ picks up his third personal and the Clippers just continue to shoot free throws here in the third quarter. Can they get some to go down? The Clippers have made just one of their last four free throw attempts. Derek Jones Jr. at the line. 8962. Timber on top. Jones Jr. 70% free throw shooter. Started the regular season as a starter. then moved to the bench towards the back half of it. He cannot hit the first free throw in and out. When asked about whether what role he cares about, he said, “It doesn’t really matter. I just want to win.” He says, “When the Clippers don’t win, he can’t sleep.” Clippers are four for nine from the free throw line in this quarter. Derek can’t hit another one. Four for 10 in the quarter, leaving points on the board. Westbrook and the Denver Nuggets bring it forward up 8962. Two minutes to play in this third quarter. It was an 11-point game at halftime. Murray rightwing Westbrook catch and shoot three off the back rim. Rebound. Kawawaii. Clippers on the run. Leonard to the right-handed dribble. Stops. Thought about a straightaway three. Gives it up to Norman. Pal. DeAndre Jordan on him. Normal drive in the paint. He can’t hang on to it. Picks it up. Finds Eric Jones Jr. Levitates. Left-handed layup. Falls in for two. 8966. 23-point game. Minute and 27 seconds to go in the third. Clippers were down 20 to start the fourth in game four. They came back and took a lead before an Aaron Gordon dunk. No lead is safe for Denver. Can the Clippers get stops? Murray left wing steps back, fires a mid-range jumper and cans it. And the Nuggets just continue to make shots. Clippers with the ball. 9164 the lead for Denver. Bodonovich left wing finds Norman Pal into the corner. A minute to play. Rises for three. Rattles in and out. Rebound DeAndre Jordan. The Clippers have made one three this quarter. Meanwhile, Denver’s knocked in four. Murray far wing. Derek Jones Jr. in his airspace. 40 seconds left in quarter number three of game seven. Murray angling, shimmying into the lane. The floater up and in. Jamal Murray. More offense for Denver with Joic on the bench. Denver leads 9384. Norman Paddle the rim. Lays it up with a right hand. Nobody beats him there. Clippers get an easy bucket and go two for one with 30 seconds left. Murray has it. He’s double teamed. He stumbles. He keeps the dribble alive. Spins into the front court. Has it deep on the left side. Flips it right wing for Christian Brown. Holds the ball. Belt. 7second separation shot and game clock. Will be Russ to take the shot. Eight seconds now. Seven. Russ top of the key finds Murray. Left wing double team with four into the corner. Gordon lines up the three. Short rebound. Harden. Six seconds left. Clippers down big here in the third. Kawawaii left wing. Two seconds into the corner. Fires the three. Swirls around and falls out and that will do it for the third. Denver up 9366. The big note in this one through this series, Adam, the Clippers had outscored Denver in fast break points, averaging 15 to the Nuggets 11. But today, Denver 20 fast break points. You combine that with just some lethal shooting. The Nuggets scored 21 points in the first quarter, Adam. Since then, they have put up 72 on the board. Meanwhile, the Clippers have scored just 40 in that stretch. The Clippers just haven’t been the same squad after they got up early in that first quarter. They’ve looked flat on both ends of the floor. They are completely out of sorts. Yeah, the threes aren’t going down. The turnovers are numerous. And on the other end, Adam, they have not scored off a Denver turnover since the first quarter. Well, I will say this, Adam. While a comeback seems like a miracle, if there was a team, it would be the Clippers. You’re not wrong, Carlo. You know what? I’m going # comeback clips. 9366. Denver leads by 27 as we start the fourth in game seven. Murray and the Nuggets left to right. Jamal Strata. 12 points on his leisure. Stops right elbow. Flings at Porter Jr. six to shoot. This is round one playoff action on the LA Clippers audio network. And now it’s officially getting late early in game seven in Denver where the Clippers trail by a score of 99 to 66. And Carlo, I think that hashtag comeback clips. I don’t know if Denver heard about it, but they answered quickly there to put out any sort of fire the Clippers could have started. Yeah, Denver with a big run and just they continue at them. Credit the Nuggets to to make tough shots. Jamal Murray a baseline jumper. Dunn plays a great 23 seconds of defense and Murray gets one to go. Russell Westbrook once again a great shooting performance and the Nuggets at him 52%. They had not shot above 50% until game five and now in three straight games shoot above 52% from the field. We talked about it a lot coming into this series, but that championship pedigree being less than two years removed from winning a chip. And by the way, and you mentioned it earlier, they have a lot of game seven experience over this era with Yokic and Murray. Yeah, they do. And they’ve stepped up and their role players have stepped up in a big way. Christian Brown and Aaron Gordon have 37 between them. Meanwhile, outside of Kawawaii and Derek Jones Jr., Adam, nobody scored in double figures for the Clippers. They just didn’t have enough. They didn’t get enough from enough of their guys. Main guys, royal players all around. Just a incredibly disappointing performance tonight. Yeah, Clippers have done out there with Zubanovich. Norman Batum. 1020 to go and 1020 left pretty much in the Clippers season. Bogey left wing. Watson dives on him and ties it up and a jump ball is coming. 9966 Denver by 33. And they look like they’re going to be on a plane to OKC tonight. Jump ball coming from the center circle. Watson and Bogey set the lead. Denver up by 33 points. This one will come from the middle. Watson measures at 68. Bogdanovich is 6’5. Let’s see if Bogey will get up there with Peyton Watson who led the NBA in blocks by a guard from the three-point line. and he wins it. Watson gets there first. Denver with the ball and Westbrook will bring it forward. Left dribble from Russ. Norman Pal in his airspace. Back and forth on the handle. Teammates a year ago. Opponents here at Ball Arena. Russ finds Jamal deep on the left side with a right-handed dribble. Stop straight away. Step back three over Bogey. Swirls out and a rebound off the hands of Dunn. Out of bounds to Denver. The Nuggets will take it. Two minutes gone here in the fourth. It was a season for the Clippers that well they many didn’t expect them to be here. The Clippers as Border Junior’s in the right corner. Sideestep. Lines up an open three. It’s short. Bogdanovich has the miss. Clippers are not projected by many to make the playoffs, let alone be a five seed. And yet they have made it here in the playoffs. says Boddanovich drives, finds zoo, left block, elevates and hammers one through a Zubat the bucket. 9968 31-point Denver lead 9 and a half to go. Clippers will have Kawhi Leonard for next season. Boddonovich, Chris Donovich, the Zubots, Nico Batum, all the guys out there as DeAndre Jordan’s got a top of the key. Looks for a friend, flips it left wing for Porter Jr. dribbles with a left hand into a double team. He pump face. He spins, flips it up with a right hand, puts it off the window. Michael Porter Jr. with 15. Denver up 10168. 9 minutes to play. Norman Pala away. Leg sleeve on that left leg dribbling back and forth to left hand and a foul by Westbrook who just pushes Avita Zubads trying to get around a screen. So the Clippers will inbound near side. Rest picks up his fourth. 10168 Denver on top. It was a five-point Clipper lead entering the second quarter as Russ steals an inbound pass. He’ll walk the red carpet and dunk it. Denver then outscored the Clippers 6 37-21 in the second quarter and continued it in the third 3519 between those two quarters. They outscored the Clippers by 32. Okanovich underneath reverse layup with a right hand and a foul. And so two free throws coming for Bo, one free throw coming for Bogey as he finishes and gets hacked. 103-70 Denver on top. 831 to play here in the fourth as Bogey will step to the line. Great addition for the Clippers. Last 30 games shot 47% from the field, 45% from the three-point line, including the playoffs as he hits the free throw. Boge’s got nine. Denver up 32 with eight and a half left. And it doesn’t look like Adam’s going to put Joic back in. and he’s averaged 41 minutes, the fourth most in the playoffs. You might as well rest him. There’s only one day off before OKC on Monday and then only one day off in between games one and two, two and three, and three and four. Murray looks for a corner, fouled by Dunn from behind. 813 to play. Kobe Brown’s going to come into the game and the white flag starting to be raised for the Clippers. And Adam, this is a Clipper group that overachieved this season. It was a special regular season. They got to 50 wins after going eight and 18 and three to close, but here in game seven, they just did not have enough against Denver, falling apart in the second quarter. Yeah, you hate to see them go out like this because it was such a special year, but this will leave a sour taste in Clipper Nation’s collective mouths. It’s going to be difficult to not think of how things ended here. Gordon on the right wing, especially when you think about two of these games were coin flips. Gordon to the free throw line, steps back, fires the jumper over Brown. Short rebound out to Norman Pow. Three of these games are form flips. Knowing to Kobe Brown, right-handed layup, sneaks by 10373. Clippers down 30 with four minutes gone in the fourth of game seven. Murray on the left wing, right-handed dribble. John the switch. Jamal with 14 points on 13 shots. He has played 37 minutes. He throws it up at the rim. No iron. Rebound out to Zoo. Bogey steps into a right wing three and cans it. Adaman will use a timeout. 731 to play. 10376 Denver by 27 and we will take our final timeout of the fourth. You’re on your Clippers audio network. What’s going on? It’s Russ. NBA playoffs presented by Google continues on ABC, ESPN, and TNT. the LA Clippers and the Denver Nuggets. This is round one playoff action on the LA Clippers audio network. All but over in Denver in game seven as the Clippers are down big with about 7 minutes left. Carlo Jimenez is just since that first quarter, for whatever reason, the Clippers got punched in the mouth and they just never were able to respond. It started early in that second quarter with Nikico Yokic on the bench and he and Jamal Murray really didn’t even have to do much in this ball game. The others, the role players stepped up for Denver. They found other ways to beat the Clippers who just came out flat and with a lackluster effort at times in this ball game. Yeah, the Clippers had them. I thought they punched first in this game and then Denver, it really goes back to the start of that third quarter. 170 run. The Nuggets just ran away with it. They came out with more energy. And this had been a Denver team that in second halves they have been a top five net rating team. In first half they have struggles but we mentioned earlier in the season when the Clippers were here in second half they’ve been excellent. They show that once again this Denver Nuggets team. We’ll see what happens as the playoffs move along. But obviously a very dangerous team that came in to this series maybe with not much to lose after the firing of Mike Balone and their GM. This was a team that was trying to find themselves, relocate that identity. They found that toughness once again. They seem to rally around the adversity. Yeah. Now you’re going to have a team like Denver, Adam, with all the championship experience against a team like OKC with none of it. Very interesting series. Yeah. Will be a good one on Monday. Denver with the ball. 10376. They lead 7:15 to go in the fourth. Golden on the right elbow. Stumbles into the paint. Stops baseline. Tough followway jumper. And as it goes all night, the Nuggets just continue to hit hard shots. Gordon now with 20. Gordon Porter Jr. Brown and Westbrook as Westbrook gets another steal and he’ll throw through a dunk and hang on the rim. And that’s going to be a technical foul. Westbrook now screaming to the crowd as Denver does their victory lap 10776. The Nuggets celebrating this series victory. You think about this Adam Porter Jr. Gordon Brown and Westbrook have combined for 70. So that’s the rotation minus Joic and Murray. Norm hits the free throw. The Clippers have gotten a combined 18, make it 19 now from Zoo, Norm Harden, and Batum. Yeah, honestly, I feel like outside of Kawhi Leonard in this game for the Clippers, nobody else met the moment well enough and accepted the challenge that Denver was going to put up against them here in this game seven. The Clippers with the ball. Substitutions for the Clips here. It’s Dun Bdonovich, Eubanks, and Miller and Brown out on the floor. So, the white flag is up for Tai Lou. Five minutes gone in the fourth. Bogey straight away three short. Eubanks tries to put it back. He’s fouled and he will shoot two. A Clipper team that at one point this season was 32 and 29. They look to be stuck in the 18 seed with a date in the playin. Coming up, they finished the season 18 and3. They lost just three games since March 5th and facing Joic in championship pedigree in round one. They’re going to lose four games in two weeks. Dunn on the right wing with a right-handed dribble. Finds Christie into the corner for Kobe Brown. Faces up, drives on Porter Jr. Baseline cut for Miller. Up and under. Left-handed layup is in. 10779. Denver still up by 28. 620 to go. Murray gets around a Gordon screen. Stops left elbow. Jamal with just 14 points in this one, but he had the big game five. the one to put up Denver up 3-2. 43 points, the most points for him in a playoff game outside of the bubble as he drives by. Eubank scoops it up with a right hand and in. Jamal Murray razzledazzle for two. Clippers the other way. Kobe Brown with a two-handed dunk in transition. 10981. Surprised Adelman hasn’t emptied the bench here. His guys have played heavy minutes. They have one day off. Murray is talking to his crowd on the far side. Gordon’s got it near wing. Cam Christie the 19-year-old on him. Gordon with an in and-out dribble behind the back to the left hand into traffic. Spins into a double team. Umbrella up top. He scoops it up with a left hand and somehow it follows through. interesting for Denver this off season. What happens with David Adam cuz he’s now won a series, a series that he wasn’t picked to win as Gordon fouls done and substitutions are coming and Adam has made a case no matter what happens in OKC that historically they’ve been one of the best teams in the NBA for the head coaching job here in Denver. I’m going to be honest, I think you just won the job. I don’t know how you take it from him after winning this series. It wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense when you talk about going in and winning a series against Adam. The Clippers were the hottest team in the league coming into the playoffs. Yeah. And coach Lou is known as one of the best playoff series coaches out there. The adjuster, the chiropractor, and coach Adam’s team’s moving on. Denver up 30. Christy rightwing three is short and a foul on the rebound on Denver. Denver’s empty the bench. They have Strawler into the game. Pick it. Brown still out there with Westbrook and Watson. Monday is game number one. It is a 3:30 local or 6:30 Eastern time start. So, 5:30 local start in Denver or in OKC. Eubanks is at the line. He’s shooting free throws for the Clippers and he cannot hit the first off the front of the rim twice. You look at the box score here in game seven and Denver just dominated with elite shot making 54% from the field. They had missed two shots in the first 6 minutes of the third quarter during a 170 run and exercised some demons from last year. No doubt after being up 20 in game seven in round two. They go up 20 and Clippers don’t get any closer. for Westbrook’s pass inside intercepted by Dunn. Finds Miller to the rim with a left-handed layup off the window. 11184 Denver on top. 5 minutes left in the 202425 season for your LA Clippers as the Nuggets will bring it forward. Carly MZ with Jesse Trillo, our engineer, Dan Collins, our statistician. It’s the seventh game here in Denver for the Clippers and it’s the first time since the league expanded to 30 teams that a team has played seven times in one arena. Westbrook down the left alley lost the ball and it wasn’t their home arena. Out to Christy up and under with a left-handed scoop layup off the window. Christy the bucket. 11185 Denver leads. Fans still here enjoying soaking in this moment. The Nuggets on their way to round two. They will advance out of the first round for the seventh time in the last eight seasons in the playoffs. An impressive number. Strawler in the paint. Ready push shot. Missed it all with a backboard rebound. Miller up ahead Kobe Brown and he slams it through with the right hand. Timeout. David Adelman. 11188. 402 to go in the fourth. We’ll keep it here. Katie Newton. Adam Oland back in our studios. And Adam, you said it best. Well, it has been a sweet season for the Clippers. This no doubt will leave a sour taste in Clipper fans mouth, but a season to build off nonetheless for this Clipper team. Dunn and Jones Jr. will still be here. Kawawaii, Zoo, Norm, Harden’s got a player option. Batum, Boddanovich, the Clippers rotation, Adam, is not going anywhere. We’ll see what happens this off season. Obviously, this was the first time in a long time Kawhi Leonard was able to make it through a playoff series healthy. We talked about that as one of his goals, just getting to the off season healthy this time so he could train the way he’d like to instead of having to go through rehab after surgery after surgery. So, we’ll see. Uh Lawrence Frank is going to have a lot of decisions to make obviously with how they want to retool this roster, if they want to lean into a youth movement, play some of the younger guys, locate some on the free agency market. A lot of different things on the table. Of course, James Harden. We’ll see what happens with that player option he has this off off season. Yeah, it was a really really excellent regular season, Adam, for Harden, but unfortunately for the Beard, the game seven woes continue. He just had seven points in game seven against Boston on the road with Philly and just seven points here today. And when you’re asked to do so much throughout the regular season, Adam, I’m sure that just takes a load come playoff time. Yeah, James Harden having to play 47 minutes last game out on Thursday night. Not a lot of time off in between ball games. He didn’t look right early on, but of course he’s had this reputation unfortunately at the back end of playoff series. He’s going to have to find a way to beat it. Yic hits a mid-range jumper. Nuggets up 11388. 337 to play as the Clippers bring it forward. Jordan Miller stops left elbow, steps through, lost it, gets it back, couldn’t finish the left-handed layup. Joic pass deflected by Miller into the hands of Brown. He puts it up plus the foul and the finish. Wow. Kobe Brown eight points. Four for four. Got a nice little stretch here in the fourth. Clippers up 113 to 90 as Gordon on the reachin. Fouls. Koway Brown. Fourth straight season. The Clippers will exit in round one. Brown at the line. Make it the third straight season. Excuse me. First free throw and he connects. 113 to 91, 326 to go. Game seven, Nuggets were up by as many as 35 as they will walk their way to Oklahoma City against Shay Gildas Alexander as stepping out of bounds on the right side is Christian Brown. Well, if you’re the NBA, it’s a great matchup. You get the three-time MVP against the leading MVP candidate this year. Although Denver fans probably think it should be Joic. Thunder fans think it should be Shay. So we’ll see. Eubs in the paint. Flips it up with the right hand off the backboard in and out. Yic will grab the rebound. That’s a double double for Nola. He’s two assists away from another triple double. Really impressive series from Denver when you consider Joic’s lowest scoring series since the bubble. And the Nuggets laid on everybody else. Gordon air balls a right corner three. 113 to 91 Denver. 244 to go. Christie out to Brown. Swing it done left wing. Wide open three in rhythm and in. And if Chris Gun can do more of that next season, how things would change for the Clippers. Murray pass underneath. Stolen by Jordan Miller. Clippers on the run. Kobe Brown to the rim. Another right-handed layup. Kobe Brown with 11. A playoff careerhigh. 113 to 96. 164 Clipper run. 218 to go. Clippers still pressing. Brown on the left wing attacks, elevates, and is fouled on a layup. Denver shot 17 first half free throws or 16, excuse me. These will just be numbers four and five of the second half. Two of 11 to play. 11396. Denver. The story in this game, it was a five-point Clipper lead to start the first. Denver outscored the Clippers by 16 in the second quarter and then go on a 170 run after the Clippers hit a three to start the second half. And that is about all she wrote as Christian Brown hits the free throw. Brown who won a championship with Denver his rookie year after an NCAA championship his one year in college and a playoff careerhigh 20 for Christian Brown. He’ll add to it. 21 now. 211 to go. Clippers move the other way. 11596 Denver. Chris Dunway. Bounce it to Jordan Miller on the left wing with a left-handed dribble behind the back. Back door finds Kobe Brown. Reverse layup. 13 for Kobe Brown. A playoff career high. And Adam will use a timeout for subs. Two minutes left. We will stay right here as the Clippers head to the bench. 115 to 98 17-point Denver advantage. Adam Osland, when you look back to the 2024 25 season, what are some memories you’re going to take away? Well, I still feel like even in a game like this, this team was resilient during the regular season. The hot start they got off to without Kawhi Leonard, who didn’t return till January, the year James Harden had. Obviously, it’s a disappointing end, but he was their MVP all season long. How many times do we see him play heavy minutes and lead this team? The growth of Aisa Zubas in taking advantage of his big opportunity. Addition by subtraction, of course, with the year Norman Pal had, we all thought he should have been an all-star. There a lot of good things that happened for this Clippers team this season and a lot of good memories that Clipper Nation should look back on fondly. No doubt. I mean, you think about the rise of Big Zoo, Adam. It it really is to me the MVP of the season for the Clippers when it comes to the best story of this season. I thought James Harden from game one to game 82 really was the captain of the Clippers ship, but Avita Zubots was his secondhand man all season long. Impressive performance by Big Zoo and his cemented himself at him this season. He was a top five center. We’ll see if he can keep it going next year. Norman Pal after the hammy injury wasn’t the same player, but boy before that the first player to not make the All-Star game. He was really, really impressive for the Clippers. Yeah. Was averaging 24 a game efficiently. Uh he gave him everything they asked for when they lost Paul George. There’s no doubt about that. 115 to 98. Clippers down 17. Two minutes left in the season as Strader and the Nuggets move left to right. Left wing, it’s Watson. Right-handed dribble, hip high. He turns the corner on Eubank. Stops right elbow, steps through, right-handed layup off the window and in for two. Payton Watson now with nine and Denver up 117 to 98. Flippers the other way. Chris Dun walks it forward. Minute 35 to go. Eubanks on the left elbow. Pass leave on that left calf as he finds Christy. Left wing Miller scoops a bounce pass underneath for Brown. Spins baseline on Strawler. muscles a layup, blocked up top, and then Watson just falls on top of him. Rebound out to Pig who pushes for the Nuggets. They have five on four. Left corner Hunter Tyson catch and shoot three off the heel. Rebound out to Zeke Naji. Back to Tyson straight away for Strawler. A minute left here in the fourth quarter. 11798. Timber. Picket gives it up to Strawer. Left wing. Attacks the paint. Righty push shot off the front of the rim. No. Watson right block could not finish and gets his own rebound. swings it back to Picket on the right wing and this Denver crowd starting to celebrate. Picket sideep right wing three too strong offensive rebound Tyson back to Picket. He’ll drive it in the lane. Feed it for Watson. Swings it out left wing for Strawler. Denver as Strawler tries to straight away three and connects. The Clippers, you think back to game four, they were a stop away, a couple stops away from taking a 3-1 series lead. The Nuggets get the dunk from Aaron Gordon and they win game five and end up getting game seven. Christy straight away wants the triple and gets it as it rattles in for three. 120 to 101. And with 20 seconds left, Denver will dribble it out. The Clippers in a season where they defied expectations make it to game seven here in Mile High. But the championship and experience of the Denver Nuggets does them in. Denver moves on to OKC. They take down the Clippers in game seven of round one, 120 to 101. And the Clippers 202425 season ends at mile high. Well, for Carlo Mennez, Jesse Trujillo, our engineer, Dan Collins, our statistician,
