Why Rich Eisen CAN’T WAIT for the Warriors vs Timberwolves NBA Playoffs Showdown

Why Rich Eisen CAN’T WAIT for the Warriors vs Timberwolves NBA Playoffs Showdown

This year it looked like the Warriors run was truly going to come to an end because they’re looking for that third man in. Andrew Wiggins didn’t appear to be it. Not this year. And they went ahead and decided at the trade deadline to go and bring in Jimmy Butler and hope that Buddy He would catch fire and um and and who would take the role of of Klay Thompson? Who would take the role of the Splash Brother? Well, last night Buddy He raised his hand said, “It’ll be me. It shall be me. And Buddy tied an NBA game seven record with six first half or set one a uh a game seven record with six first half threes and wound up with nine in the game which tied Dante Dvenenzo. How about that for a name for the the big ragu. Big ragu for the most three-pointers ever drained in a game seven in NBA playoff history. And Buddy Heield now has that next to his name. And Curry getting blitzed on defense by the Houston Rockets. And I’ll just say this about the Rockets real quick before I give the flowers to the Warriors. Also, speaking as a Nick fan, get yourself a Thompson if you can. Are they out of him? I don’t know. might be more because you know I I know Jaylen Green’s got a big future and he’s already hitting it and same with Shenon. This kid I’m in Thompson is he is a star in the making. My goodness gracious. They would just put him right at half court and and lock down Steph Curry and he couldn’t get open and he didn’t make a three until the third quarter. And as a matter of fact, he and Jimmy Butler had 11 combined points in the first half and the Warriors were getting blitzed as soon as they I mean Steph was being picked up all 94 feet. At any rate, the Warriors got it done and Curry was the one who helped with Buddy Heel go night night on this team in the fourth quarter and Jimmy Butler was making his shots. and they move on. This team that was dead in the water prior to the trade deadline, Mike Dunlevy Jr., the general manager, they took a quick shot of him as the Warriors took a 20point lead late, blitzing the Rockets late. Man, he just he was he wasn’t showing any emotion, but I’m sure you I assure you inside he’s doing cartwheels because his maneuvers, his button pushing worked out, saved the season, and now here come the Warriors again doing their thing. And Draymond Green at the forefront of it. I mean, in the same way that some people like to put salt on their ice cream, you know? You know what I mean? Yeah, it’s true. Some people like the sour with the sweet. I mean, Draymond is the a-hole to Steph Curry’s flowers and he he’ll he he’ll he’s the good cop and then there’s a bad cop. And he did it again last night picking up a technical when what he just his limbs frequently lose control or he loses control of his limbs all of a sudden. Huh. Yeah. where where where contact is made and then then there’s a follow through whether it’s to somebody’s nuts or last night it was to Van Vleet’s face you know and and funny how he’s the only one that happens to well I mean there’s other ones in this league too and the Rockets have one of their own and Dylan Brooks too pal you know really I’ve never seen Dylan Brooks kick someone in the nuts multiple times his arms are stomp on someone’s about his business slightly different ways Draymond aggravating. But when Draymond reigns it in and he doesn’t do that, guy’s a Hall of Famer. like right now. Like if he stopped playing like right now, this guy is in the Basketball Hall of Fame and apparently led a team meeting prior to game seven in which everybody spoke and he had this to say about that leading to a win in game seven after I think what goes into it is really deciding who’s going to give a speech. Um, obviously I always try to defer to Steph, uh, defer to Jimmy, and they wanted me to speak. Uh, but I had a lot to say. Um, and like I said, most importantly was calling myself out. You know, you can’t go into a game seven expecting guys to rally off the game we had before and not address it. And so, I wanted to address that, number one. And then secondly, tell everybody else what we needed, which was a a togetherness like no other. um in our huddles together um trusting in each other and believing and so thought it was uh much needed. Um but as much as I think this team needed it, I feel like I needed it for myself even more. Um cuz you got to be accountable. You can’t be a leader and not be accountable. And you call other guys out when their stinks you then you better say when yours does too. And uh that’s what I that’s what I tried to make a point in doing. Yeah. And with the uh the technical he picked up, he also scored the first five points and um had 10 in the first half, which is one fewer than what Jimmy Butler and Steph had in the first half. And him and Buddy Heield kept the thing afloat in time for take 12-point lead at halftime. You know, they they they kept Van Vleet off the free throw line. As a matter of fact, Van Vleet was the one who lost his composure late in the game with a a a brutal take foul, you know, and at the end of the day, the Warriors move on. And um it looks like Steph is appearing with zero Fs left to give. And I kind of dig that. Steph Curry hit it. Secondarily, you’ve won five series now in Houston. What you think your reputation is in the city? I’m a winner. Now, for the radio audience, uh Steph was wearing sunglasses. I don’t usually see Steph in sunglasses at the postgame press conference. As a matter of fact, he’s I don’t recall him ever doing that, in case you’re wondering what might be up with that. Is this Dark Steph? I don’t know what’s going on. Uh but um a uh radio station 957 the game did a split screen with Steph last night and Shenon and Dylan Brooks after game five. The Rockets victory, the first end of back-to-back victories to force a game seven, they were wearing sunglasses. In case you’re wondering if this was intentional or not, Draymond Green reposted it with some laughing [Music] emojis. And it looks like Steph is showing up with zero Fs to give. And that’s good. And it may be because he’s at the uh back end, as he pointed out, they’re running out of windows for their championship runs. Maybe that’s what it is cuz he’s longer in the tooth and he’s just like most people as they get longer in the tooth without Fs to give. Mike, you’re you’re approaching work with that quite a bit these days. I see. Oh, stop. Come on. You have to go there, Rich. No, I’m just saying. Listen, it’s a good thing Steph is bringing that attitude to the second round because um he’s taken on a young Turk who’s already out of Fs to give and he’s basically giving it to people who dare speak to him during the games from the from the crowd, let’s just say here in Los Angeles when he was ready to break out a measuring stick a few days ago. And that’s Anthony Edwards. And I can’t wait for this second round series. I’ll tell you what, Chris, obviously between us that starts tonight in game one because these are our teams and it’s old school like Nick Celtics, okay? Back in the day when it was on and cracking and Larry Bird was doing the one cracking most of the skulls. Um, right last night the Pacers drew first blood in Cleveland. They, by the way, won three out of um four out of five against the Cavs this year now, including the regular season or tonight, the Nuggets and the ultimate Young Turks in the NBA and Oklahoma City and their 64 wins, right? Like these are all or how many wins that Cavs had? 64 wins. Uh the Thunder with a remarkable number of wins for themselves this year. Yeah, they had 68. 68. I shorted them some. They almost had damn near 70. But I’ll tell you what, man. Warriors versus Timberwolves. And Anthony Edwards, who has uh in the past couple of years, sent Devin Booker and Kevin Durant home, sent the Denver Nuggets home, just sent Luca and LeBron home, is now big game hunting on Steph and Draymond and playoff Jimmy. And I don’t know if everybody’s already seen some of the videos on uh their phones of a previous instance between Draymond and Anthony Edwards chitchatting, if you will, underneath the rim after Draymond hard followed him. This thing is going to be on. And I I profer to say the U Minnesota Timberwolves did not think when they were the six seed going into the downtown hoops dojo here in Los Angeles, California just a couple weeks ago think that they would be homecourt advantage six seeds in round two and they are. But they’re against a Warriors team that just did what they just did to the Rockets and their young team. This is going to be a fun one, guys. I’m looking forward to this one. Yeah, these four series are going to be excellent. I’m looking forward. Yeah, very much so. Very much so. Because I think you could say with all due respect to Detroit and Milwaukee, the top four teams in the East have advanced, right? Yeah. This regular season. Yeah, absolutely. And in the West though, I mean, it was just a mosh pit of nastiness. And who knew who was going to come out of of of the first round, right? You had to assume it was going to be OKC and then the rest was a a tossup, right? Wouldn’t you say? No. Why? Because you thought the Clippers were going to lose to the Nuggets all along. Is that what is that your is that your statement? I mean, come on, man. It’s like, yeah, let’s be honest. And then we all Chris, I think we thought the T- Wolves were going to take out the Lakers. Really? And I picked the Warriors to beat the Rockets. I thought that, but if you just look if you just look at records this year, I mean, they were all four games within each other, seeds two through eight. Yeah, you know, in the standings. So, you know, it was kind of a coin flip series all along, even though I might have been hoping for the T- Wolves to knock off the Lakers. So, there you have it. 1. I can't stand the Warriors. They ruined the NBA with everyone trying to jack up 3s. The days of tough hard nose defense and fundamental basketball is long gone. Tired of Draymond's antics.

  2. I'm sorry, but Draymond Green doesn't belong anywhere near the Hall of Fame. Maybe in the hall of good players. His numbers don't support it. The only thing he has are 4 rings and if it was of only rings, Robert Horry would be a hall of famer🤷‍♂️

  3. Warriors v Rockets brings this quote to mind:

“Old age and treachery will always beat youth and exuberance.” — David Mamet

  4. I hate that people keep sayin steph was struggling in the first half of game 7 just because he was missing shots. He was getting GREAT looks that just weren't falling.. im pretty sure if we get any data that comes out of the first 5 shots steph took, all of them were open at least 4 of them were WIDE OPEN

  5. When Curry & Draymond retire the Warriors need to go after the Thompson brothers and bring em back to their home in the Bay!

  6. what we all need and what matters: THANK YOU JESUS! JESUS WILLINGLY WAS BEATEN AND WENT TO THE CROSS TO ATONE FOR OUR SINS! Jesus tells us to deny ourselves and follow Him. Jesus forgives sins, but He doesn't tell us to indulge in them. We must love thy neighbor but also lead them to repentance in the TRUTH which is Christ Jesus! Praise the King of kings and the LORD of lords! Jesus Christ is King! The only Way to Eternal Life in Heaven is in and through Jesus Christ! Jesus Christ can break all strongholds! Jesus Christ is the Way the Truth and the Life and no one comes to the Father except through Jesus! I know this is random, and I'm not a bot. I just wanna share something that's worth sharing!!! Jesus Christ saved my life on earth from suicide and for eternity in Heaven! Repent! Have Faith! Pray! Get Baptized in Jesus Name! Read the Bible! ✝ 🙌 ❤💪🙏

  7. The sunglasses to mock them means he does have F’s to give. Somebody with no F’s to give doesn’t care what the other team wears at the podium.

  8. The bald cohost here is a joke. Acting like brooks is “above” Draymond level stuff. Did he was brooks take out Payton in 2022? Draymond had four chips, and actually plays winning basketball, brooks is a clown who genuinely tried to injure players.
Y'all hate them cause you’re jealous your teams done win like the warriors do. Embarrassing!

  9. Eisen couldn't wait for the 'Wolves/Dubs series to be over with before it even begins, because of exciting early vacation plan. Don't fret, just be glad there isn't a Clipper/Laker bracket remaining.

  10. The Warriors have 3 of the Top 10 Most Unethical Players: Draymond, Butler, Curry. If you're wearing Bay Area Goggles you can't see it, I guess.

  11. Funny he doesn’t talk about Steph being fouled without the ball running around and repositioning

  12. I have said it before and I will say it again……never under estimate the power to win. With a capital W. 🌳🤙.

    P.s. opinions matter.

  13. I have said it before and I will say it again……never under estimate the power to win. With a capital W. 🌳🤙.

    P.s. opinions matter.

    P.s.s. What a series to become 🎶

  14. Dylan brooks literally broke gp2's elbow and still pushes guys in mid air lets name 1 player that missed time because of draymond

  15. Steph's Incredibly bad performance when my Wolves needed him to win for the 5th seed, makes me hungry. Steph, Have Two bad games against the Wolves. That's all it will take. I know he won't have that bad of a game like finish against the Clippers in the regular season, but just get close…get bad a couple games.

  16. Warriors has capable defenders compared to the Lakers. 😂 Warriors has Green, Butler and Payton which can limit any scorer on opposing teams. Curry is a willing defender if needed, also Hield. And do not forget on Kuminga and Moody who are also capable defenders with their length. That is what the Lakers are lacking. Ant Man was cooking because the Lakers do not have anyone capable of defending him.

  17. Rich talking about top six players in Minn vs GSW when it's the fact Minny has 4-7 more talent than the Warriors' 4-7th best players, or something like that point being Warriors kids need to step it up and JK doesn't look likely too, Moody is solid but doesn't score enough, Pods is good but rough around edges on offense and not always a good matchup on D, Post and others might show up….meanwhile Minny has Naz Reid, that long wing defender who scores efficiently i forget his name, and many others all making up a MUCH better supporting cast for Minn's top three over the Dubs top 3.

And i'm a long super long time Warriors fan.

That said, i don't count my boys out. The Warriors kids need to show up or you guys move on.

  18. We can all mostly agree that when LeBron and Draymond retire, we get a better product. Both have little integrity to the sport.
