NBA LIVE! Golden State Warriors vs Minnesota Timberwolves Game 1 May 6, 2025 | NBA Playoffs Live 2K
[Music] Hey, hey, hey. in at the center position and for the Timberwolves. Edwards on the wing. He’s joined by McDaniels. Handle out there with Goar and it’s Connley in at the one. Now here is Connley. Mr. Goar back to Connley. Five on the clock. Over in the corner, Edwards. That’s in there. Conor with the assist. Composed and cool effort from Edwards inside. Not rushing himself or forcing a bad shot. Taking what’s available. Curry pitched him up. Back to [Music] Curry. Jacks up a three. Randle grabs the board. I’m shocked that didn’t turn into three points. I mean, he makes you pay on those nearly every time. Offline with his three. And on an open look like that, he’s very gifted at making the weak coverage [Applause] pay. Here’s healed. Go with the block. So good at finding these shots. Go loves reaching out and sending them away. Connley with it. Vandal outside. Outside Edwards. It’s rebounded by Golden State with a short break in the action. Gives us a chance now to send it over to David Aldridge. Thanks. I caught up with Chris Finch. Now, I asked him about the challenge they face in defending Steph Curry. He said Steph is so hard to contain because of his constant movement off the ball. Conventional defenses won’t work against him. The matchups will be fluid. He’ll see a lot of different guys coming at him. He’s looking and needing a total group effort. Back to you guys. Thank you, David. Green with the block. Green takes great pride in his defense now. He loves denying shots at the rim and playing bigger than his 68 frame would lead you to believe. Boy, he is looking confident. Love how they’re using him so far. And you know what? They’re going to keep using him. I mean, he’ll be the centerpiece of their offense today. You can bank on that. Now, here is Connley. Edwards looking it over. Will it go? Hands it from downtown. Edwards got his second bucket tonight. Boy, great take by Edwards making the correct decision in the pick and roll there. Ajimki on the wing outside [Applause] Butler. Curry against Pimsky in the [Applause] corner. Five from 18. And it falls over the rim and in. And the lack of effort to fight over the screen there makes that an easy shot. Well, I’m going to credit the screen. I mean, that’s a good strong pick he lays there. And so Chris Finch calls for the timeout. This will give him a chance to discuss some potential alterations. [Applause] [Music] Randall finds Goar now. Here’s Connley. Randle surveying the D. Just five on the clock. [Applause] And the rebound goes to the Warriors. [Applause] First quarter play and just over 3 and 1/2 minutes in. And that one clearly a foul. Gets the whistle and two shots coming out. What I love about Jimmy Butler, there’s a lot to like, but he brings it every night. His consistency and toughness and production, plays with passion, leads his team well. Love that throwback mentality of his. First free throw is good. Well, you go back and look at the career that Jimmy Butler’s had. Hard to believe that he was the 30th pick of the draft when he came out of college. You got to say that scouts kind of missed on that one. And he makes both free throws. Making it look effortless. Send this guy to the stripe. He’s going to cash in more than not. Pass to Connley. Go Bear with it. Outside Edwards. And here’s Connley outside. Rebound by Butler. Not quite enough defense that time around. just lucky he was off and the shot goes in. This is as good as it gets for a first quarter in terms of shooting the basketball. You’re exactly right. I mean, everything seems to be dropping. Impressive scoring here. Now, here is Connley. Nothing on the board and play stops whistle on what looks to be an illegal screen. And guys, point of emphasis for the league is to really crack down on illegal screens. Yeah, you know, he might have gotten away with that a few years ago, but not anymore. No way. Now you’ve got to be stationary on those screens. No extra hips or elbows, or they’ll call it. Here’s PMski. Butler from outside. Go pulls it in. Timber’s trailed by eight. Pass to Connley. Healed against McDaniel. Go with a screen on heel. Here’s McDaniels. Takes it off the glass. Basically just ignored that contact inside. Really tough finish by [Applause] McDaniels. Healed against McDaniel. He can’t hit. And so it’s Rendle bringing it up now for Minnesota. Pass to Connley. to the wing on the left. [Applause] A nice shot by McDaniel. McDaniels got his second basket of the game. Strong work inside by the 6’9 Jaden McDaniel showing how effective he can be down there. Heel dishes to [Music] Green. Rebounded by the Timberwolves. Well, you will not see that from him very often, especially right at the rim. Shot by McDaniels. No good. The defense there got away with a major lapse. Pass to Curry in the corner. It’s healed. Curry deciding where to go with it. Clever move by Curry taking the foul but still getting the shot. The Warriors have gone two for two in the game at the line. [Applause] The first one falls. When you talk about shot mechanics, Curry is as close as you can get to perfect. I mean, you can tell he puts a lot of work into that part of his game and it pays [Applause] off and both free throws good for Curry. Boy, how consistently good Steph’s been over the course of his career. Really remarkable. What a teammate. What a leader. What a player. And so Chris Finch calls for the timeout. Wants to regroup and go over the strategy. [Music] [Applause] Get over passes to go. The Timberwolves working the ball around now. Powerful move that time by Ramble. He’ll go to the free throw line. The Timberwolves shooting their first free throws of the night right here. [Applause] that free throw missing. And you know, the impressive ascension of Randall has been a lot of fun to watch. I mean, he’s a double double threat who plays with relentless energy. [Applause] and the second free throw. Good. Warriors leading by five. Pass to Pajki. Now heel. It’s stolen by Goar. McDaniels gets to Connley. Back to McDaniels. Goar with a screen on heel inside. And the shot goes in from Rudy Goar. It’s like running into an immovable object. Go setting that pick nicely. Pass to Butler. Butler is on top. Curry with a wide open look. Does not score with that shot. It’s his second miss against two main shots. Well, you you have to like their work on the boards, Kevin, particularly here to start the game. Yeah, I like the way they’re setting the tone. Really playing with a lot of energy here at the start. Edwards good. And he is really in a zone right now playing and scoring with [Applause] confidence outside. [Applause] Butler back to [Applause] Curry puts it up and again it’s the Warriors missing Minnesota with them. Big stretch here going 10-2. McDaniels passes to Con and that won’t go. Missing the go-ahead bucket. Butler has never lacked the willingness to be aggressive and to hunt contact. You got to love that toughness aspect about Jimmy Butler’s game. And look at how the offensive approach has been going here so far for the Timberwolves. straight away they they’ve opened things up offensively with skillful passing, running smart plays, and just setting guys up for success. In addition to that, they’ve thrown their weight around inside tonight, too. Thumping and bumping in the paint. A lot of their points have come from inside and he knocks down the first one. Reed, he’s jacked in for Julius Randall. Payton, he’s checked in for Golden State. [Applause] That one is no good. The Timberwolves trick high post Goar and Goar throws it down. The sevenfooter plus Rudy Goar goes up and makes it hurt coming down on their passenger heel. Green with a screen on it. Six to shoot. Heel kicks the buck. Lets it go from deep. Buries it from three-point range. Butler’s got knocked. Butler very aware of the situation there. No time to spare at all. Saves him from the shot clock violation. Creed with a screen on heel. And here’s Edwards from the arc. Looks good. Is good. Bucket number four from the field. He’s taken only six shots. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He’s going to have a discussion here on the sideline. And some changes here for the Timberwolves. High nods check in and Nquille Alexander Walker in for [Applause] McDaniels. Golden State’s gotten just two of six to fall from three-point range so far in the first. three-pointer. Butler Venenzo with the rebound. Timber rolls on offense. They’re on a 15-6 run. And here’s Edwards from the ark. And the rebound goes to the [Applause] Warriors. Here’s Spencer. Ask the Butler. Here’s Spencer. Five to shoot and that one’s on target from the wing. Dies back and forth this first half and this could continue to go back and forth the entire way outside Edwards. There’s the pick for three. That’s good. Basket number five on a five for eight night shooting. And they’re getting a lot of their points outside the paint. Three of their last five baskets are from three-point range. [Applause] Cast to Moody. Good. And Bucker gets the assist. And the Warriors lead by one. And we’ve seen several lead changes tonight. Neither team giving an inch. Yeah. And the lead has changed hands and it just hasn’t stayed in those hands very long when it’s changed. Back and forth we go. And you don’t want to give up that kind of look too often. [Applause] Now here’s Moody Edwards defending. Here’s Butler again. Golden State. Hey, if he can’t get to the basket, the medium range jumper is JB’s second [Music] option. Outside Edwards over Moody. Edwards with another miss. And so it’s Butler with it. He’ll bring it up for Golden State. It’s a three-point game. 112 left to play in the first quarter. In pulls it in. Minnesota’s gotten a lot of shots off from three-point land in the first quarter, but they’re only four of nine. Outside Edwards. Edwards with another miss. And he didn’t punish them for the weak coverage there, but they can count on him to continue missing. And there it is for him. Now it’s a five-point Warrior lead. Yeah. And there it is again. On a lot of their possessions this first half, they’ve established great inside position. Down goes basket number six for him this game. He’s taken 12 shots and made half of them. And really the scoring this quarter has been just off the charts. doing all he can to bring him back. Here’s the screen. Here’s Butler and the call on the shot. It sends in to the line. And Butler just excellent at finding ways to get to the stripe, especially when he’s near the basket. The Warriors shooting their seventh and eighth free throw attempts for the game right here. [Applause] and he makes the first. And they haven’t let points get away from them at the line tonight. That’s always something that’ll allow a coaching staff to breathe a little easier. And the Timberwolves making a change here. Mars has checked in. Curry’s checked in for Golden State. [Applause] And so Butler nails both of them. Timberl two seconds separating the shot clock and game [Applause] clock. Outside [Applause] Edwards. 12 seconds left in the first quarter. Pass to Devenenzo. lets it go with a three. Buries the long range jumper. And if you’re the guy who has to guard him, it is never going to be an easy night for you. Jimmy Butler has been on display for the Warriors. He put together quite a quarter, 13 points in all. And he looks and we’re ready to get back into the action here in game one. Let’s see what this quarter has in store for us. And let’s quickly check out the scoring breakdown here for the Warriors. They haven’t been afraid of getting hit on the way up, marching their way to the line and capitalizing. You know, another thing they’ve done really well, I think, is get quality shots from behind the three-point line and knock them down, too. Setting the floor for the Warriors. Gary Payton the second is out there with Kuminga. Then it’s Curry. Then it’s Kavan Looney. And it’s Moody in at the two guard spot. The shot drops. His shooting percentage improves. He’s three for seven now with that basket. Off a pass. Steph Curry. That one is always going in or almost always going in. Ethan Chenzo passes to Alexander Walker and Reed throws it down. Nothing soft about the put back there. And why chance it, right? Take the dunk if you got him. Well, you know, if nobody going to put a body on him, then that’s going to be the result. [Music] Now here’s Moody. Tight defense on him. [Applause] [Music] Curry is inside. Edwards defending. Kaminga. Rebound. Minnesota. Quarter number two with just over a minute gone. Even Jenzo finds Edwards. Reed with it as to Alexander Walker. Here’s Payton. And Payton throws it down. That’s a stomach punch, guys. Turn it over and give him a free run to the bucket. Oh, you’re so right. No question. Who has the momentum now? You know, those kinds of plays can be difference makers, game changers, momentum shifters, especially in a close contest where one or two possessions can impact the [Applause] outcome. Castro Looney Curry with it. Puts up a deep three. What a deep shot from Steph Curry. This is exactly the kind of unique range that Curry has. I mean, as soon as he crosses half court, you got to get up on it. Near the three-point line, it’s Edwards for basket number seven tonight on a not so unlucky 13 shots. And obviously, his momentum from the last game has carried over here tonight. You know, that’s how it goes for me. His hot streaks, guys, don’t last minutes, they last days. And foul on the shot. So, he’ll get a chance at the line. really at the right plate defensively. If you can’t block, force them to the line. Yeah, exactly. Prevent the layup, give them a little bump, and then maybe they’ll think twice about coming into the lane next time. And if they don’t think about it, at least they might be distracted by your presence. That free throw no good. And the Timberwolves making a change here. Ingles has checked in. [Applause] and he can’t get The second one to drop either coming up empty that time. Timberwolves trail by five. Down low. Here’s Alexander Walker. It’s rebounded by Kaminga. And here’s Kaminga. He’ll bring it up for the Warriors. Here’s Moody. No good from outside. And even without that three ball dropping for him, the defense should have done more on that last play. Edwards dishes to Engles. Pass to Reed now. Alexander Walker. No good with the triple. Payton looking around. Got a piece of it. And so it looks like the Warriors will retain possession here. Great instincts from him to get a hand on that pass and tip it out. And you know, even though they didn’t come up with the steal, that’s still a nice defensive play. Goes checked in for Minnesota. I Connley comes in for Alexander Walker. Then for the Warriors, Green, he’s checked in for Looney. And it’s Brandon Pajki in for Moody. Connley against Curry. And Curry’s really a master at drawing contact. defense has to be careful when defending him. The Warriors have shot 70% from the free throw line tonight. Seven for 10. [Applause] And the first one drops. [Applause] Stephen Curry hits them both. Just under three and a half minutes played here in the second quarter. Connley the pass to Devenenzo. Connley sets a screen for Denenzo. As to Edwards from outside the arc. Edwards cashing in from outside. Might want to track this guy. Mark him definitely just deadly from deep so far. Foul Pajinski. outside. Green tries the spin move. Curry dishes to Kaminga. Pass to Green for Goar. Got it from 16 ft. Green’s got his second basket of the night. The closer the better for Draymond, but once he’s in his comfort zone, he’s good to go. Curry against Con. And here’s Edwards from the arc. Raymond Green grabs the miss. And the great shooters know when they’ve got enough opening to go for the three. I didn’t think it was a bad choice on that possession. Pajki finds Green in the hoop for his third make from the field. He’s three for four thus far in the contest. I mean, one thing about Draymond, he almost invites contact. has to go bear. Timberwolves passing it around. Knocked away. Reed the pass to Con. Now here’s Go Bear. The Timberwolves need to get a shot off here. Reed misses. Payton kicks to [Applause] Curry. Green with a screen on Con. Curry can’t get it to go. Timber’s trail by eight. Look, we all know Rudy Goar is a force on defense, but you can’t afford to ever ignore this guy. I mean, he’s got the physical gifts to make problems anywhere on the floor. For Minnesota, they have converted one of two free throws so far today. And the first one at the line is good. Minnesota making some changes. Randall comes in for Reed. And it’s McDaniels in for Dante Devincenzo. Butler, he’s checked in for the Warriors. Healed comes in for [Applause] Payton. And Goar drops them both. Warriors leading by six. Left side. Curry. Back to Butler. Pass to Heel. Pajki with it. Fires from deep. It’s good from long range. Pajk’s got the lead up to nine now for the Warriors. Defensively, there was a lack of aggressiveness and it really made it easy for him to knock that shot down. And so Chris Finch calls for the timeout. Wants to talk some things over. Might be seeing some things to adjust. [Applause] Minnesota’s gotten into trouble with the three ball in the second quarter, only hitting one of five attempts. Connley sets a screen for Edwards. And the three ball is good. Edwards got eight points in the quarter. And once again, the defense allowing him to get a clean look at that trip boy. He continues to do some big time damage from downtown. Back to Pajki. Healed outside and he can’t answer back. The three-pointer offline. Here’s Edwards. The muscle from Edwards. Boy, you love to see Edwards shine on offense like this. I know it’s got to be making his coach happy, too. outside. [Applause] Butler back to [Applause] Curry. Rudy Goar with the rebound. Goar has got his fourth rebound with that last one here tonight. Well, you know, they’re in the lead, but he’s still been frustrated from an offensive standpoint. McDaniels dishes to Edwards. Over in the corner, Randall. That’s in there. Conley with the assist. Conley’s got three assists now in this one. And if he gets the space, Randall absolutely will take that shot. Not afraid of that corner three. [Applause] Curry outside. Curry buries the three shot. Yeah, you know, the second period’s been much more kind to him than the first. I mean, let’s see if he can keep it going and maintain this. And outside. Back to Conley. McDaniels passes to Conley. Now McDaniels. Six on the shot clock. Tried to answer back, but that three is off the [Applause] mark. With it now defended by Randall just kind of stepping aside and letting him get to the rim. There’s a reason, GA, the lead is what it is right now. You know, you look at it, the communication is lacking, as is the trust. They can ill afford those types of breakdowns. It won’t work. You can’t win with those kind of breakdowns. He’s got to be disappointed with himself on that one. He has got to knock those down. And so Edwards will bring it up for the Timberwolves. They trail by six. This blows. Bucket is good. He’ll have a chance at the line to make it a three-point play. You know, he’s got to be exasperated right now, fellas. I mean, playing excellent ball, but they’re still losing. And this is his first trip to the line tonight. Payton, he’s checked in for the Warriors. A superstar level talent for sure. Anthony Edwards is awesome, but I like his competitive spirit as much as his skill. And we’ve got a timeout called by Steve Kerr. He wants to make some adjustments to the game plan clearly. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Applause] Nice work that time by Draymond to draw the foul while in the act of shooting there. This is his first chance at the line tonight. [Applause] Big break. Big break. Two shot. That’s good from Green. There’s always a spot for a guy like Draymond Green on your side. An incredible defender. He’s unselfish offensively and a highly skilled passer. [Applause] Both free throws good from [Applause] Green. Timberwolves trail by five. Connley scanning the floor. It’s Edwards on the wing. Covered by Heel. Shot clock at six. Feder on the way. McDaniels. Misses the three. Warriors leading by [Applause] five. Aki on the way. pass the buck from deep. Nails it from deep. Jimmy Butler. Perhaps not the forte of Butler’s game, but he does have the range to hurt you from the perimeter. Edwards kicks to Randall. Stolen. And it’s the Warriors on the break. And then heel with the jump. An agile play to get his hand in there and get the steal. intelligent play to immediately start the break. The Timberwolves have gone seven to 16, shooting just under 50% here in the second quarter. Goar the pass to Randall to the paint looking for Goar. He gets it there and that’ll be two free throws coming up. Officials on the call with the foul. It’s on Jimmy Butler. I like seeing Goar use the shot fake because it’s an effective way to get the defenders into the paratroopers club. [Applause] A free throw drops for Go. Yeah, in this quarter they’ve had the right approach. Driving and drawing, initiating contact, create opportunities, get to the line. Yeah, I like everything you said there because when all else fails, if you can get to the strike, that’s really a good way to change the momentum in the game because you get points and you also slow down the opponent because the game isn’t going up and down as much. So, one for two that time at the strike. Warriors leading by nine. [Applause] Here’s Pachki. Got it for his fourth field goal of the game on just five shots. And for the Timberwolves, they’re shooting a respectable 47% from the field in this one. Pass to [Applause] McDaniels to the inside and Draymond Green picks up the foul. That’s his first foul. I mean, that’s a tough break for the D. I mean, he took the hit and drew the whistle. Yeah, but he was late to get there, so the referee couldn’t give him a free pass on that one. 151 left to play here in the second quarter. Randle and the shot is good. Dropping in off the front of the rim. Randle’s got five points now in the quarter and it’s the Warriors ball. They’re on a 14-6 run. Here’s Butler. Butler making it happen inside. Tell you what, he has been feeling it, guys. And the best game plan right now. It’s elementary. Just keep feeding him. Let him eat. Conley kicks to Devenzo. Connley up top. He’s defended by Pompki. Connley dishes to Goar. Trying so hard to contest that shot. Got a piece of Goar there. The Timberwolves missed two free throws in the game. Going five for seven. First one falls for He doesn’t get the second one. A slight rebound advantage for them. One more column in their favor and it’s all adding up. Well, you take a look at all of the stats, the team stats that is. And that’s one of the many areas that they’ve had the advantage and as a result, they’ve got a big lead. Bangle no good. Warriors leading by [Applause] 10. And here is Moody. He’s got five. And the wider than shot from Green. No good on the triple. And they had some boxed coverage that turned into no coverage. Off the left rim and out. Golden State’s gotten fond of that three-point shot here in the second quarter. Four of nine. [Applause] There’s 21 seconds left to play in the first half. Pass to Moody. The shots good on the assist by Butler. Butler’s got his fourth assist with that last one here tonight. Randall against [Applause] Butler. Randle right side and Butler sends it back and it goes out of bounds. That one off Butler. [Applause] Connley with the three and he was able to put it up in time but doesn’t fall. And so it’s the Golden State Warriors looking at a 13-point lead heading into the next quarter. They’ve been putting on a clinic in the paint. Shots are falling with regularity and they are pounding it down low. And a chance now to send it over to David Aldridge standing by Courtzaw. Thanks David. And we’ll be back shortly following halftime to get the third quarter [Applause] underway. They’ve had a lot of success in transition running for their lives like a turkey in November. Bach. I don’t know that that’s a great comparison or a good turkey sound effect. Neither is [Music] [Applause] that. And we welcome you back to 2K Sports coverage of the Western Conference semifinals. You know, Anthony Edwards has been exceptional here, guys. And and if he can keep shooting from deep like he did in the first half, he’s going to be more than a handful. Yeah. You know what? The defense is going to adjust. They’ll be ready for him now. So, I’m sure they talked a lot about how to slow him down. [Music] Warriors leading by 13. Connley and Edwards are the guards. Randall out there with Jaden McDaniel and it’s Gobear in at the five. So that’s the lineup for Minnesota. Here’s Butler at the elbow. It’s Heel just four to shoot while they’re passing to Heel. Good. And Butler gets the assist. Heels got five. The assist totals, Kevin, just continue to grow. They’re way ahead in that category. Ball movement has been flawless. Clearly just an example of a different mindset between these teams. Connley finds Edwards from past the ark and again for three. And he’s letting it fly from long range to devastating effect. And he’s now tied the franchise record for triples in a playoff game. deflects the pass. Here’s Randall and Randall throws it down. You know, once he has the positioning he wants, he’s ready for the big finish. Julius Randall throwing it down. He bounce pass. Majky on the wing outside. Butler up a three. Another three for Golden State. The defense a step slow and you can see the results. That’s three in a row from out there now. So, they’ve got to do a better job contesting. Connley kicks to Randall. Pass to McDaniels. There’s the three. Warriors with the rebound. Butler’s got eight rebounds in this game. Shot by Heel. Nobody around. And another three for Golden State. 12 straight points off of three-pointers. And the D looks shell sharp. And guys, now that they’re rolling from out there, the defense has to really get up into them. You got to almost be in their jerseys to try to deny those looks. Just a solid performance on the interior. The rebounding has been off the charts. Yeah, you look across the board, it’s actually sizing up, shaping up to be a great game. I mean, strong performances throughout and they’ve really been strong on the glass. on its way from Curry for two. Finds himself wide open and drills it. Curry’s got 18 points. And how about when Curry gets fancy with it? His confidence is what allows him to pull off these moves. McDaniels passes to [Music] Connley over to the left wing. Three-pointer Randall that’s in there. Connley with the assist. has got five assists in the game. Curry pass it to Greensky with it. Healed outside and he gets the whistle. Two free throws coming up. Heel so good at finding ways to get it in the hoop regardless of who’s defending. First trip to the free throw line for him in this one. [Applause] That one is off. Everybody knows about how Buddy Heield is an incredible three-point threat, but what I love, here’s a guy with a bunch of years playing 80 or more games. Love that durability. He’s ready to go whenever they call his name. And he’s good on the second. We all know he’ll can shoot it, but for him to get better, he’s got to keep adding different dimensions to his game. Just under three and a half minutes played here in the third quarter. Go Bear with a screen for McDaniel. Offensive rebound right side. Connley. Yes, that goes in. Boy, it’s nice to see young guys like McDaniels come onto the floor and make the right play. Curry pass it to Butler. Healed outside. The three-pointer no good. You know what though? Sometimes you can be too open. I think it may have surprised him and that’s why he missed. Connley sets a screen for Edwards. Good. Another from three. They talk about stepping up. He’s having a playoff game these fans won’t ever forget. That last three means he’s got the most threes in a single playoff game in franchise history. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He wants to check in with his team and regroup. And so Curry will bring it up for the Warriors. Earlier in the game, they had a 19-point lead. On the wing, heel. McDaniels defending. Here’s Curry shooting foul. As the whistle blows, he’ll shoot two free throws. Michael Connley picks one up. And how about mixing it up inside there. Steph still a threat. That nimleness he has helps him to get that shot off. [Applause] And he makes the [Applause] [Music] first. Stephen Curry hits them both. Here’s Connley. [Applause] Pass to McDaniels. Now here’s Edwards. And again, it’s Minnesota converting. Boy, he’s making it look really easy right now. I expect him to continue to run the offense through him until the defense makes them change plan. Healed outside. Back to Curry. [Music] Curry gets it to go inside. As a defender, it’s got to be a feudal feeling when Curry’s in the zone like this. Outside Edwards handle outside off target with this three. And even without that three ball dropping for him, the defense should have done more on that last play. Count it. That’s really all you can do defensively. Butler is an allstar for this very reason. Excellent skills and cool under pressure. Pass to [Applause] McDaniels. Launches a three. That shot misses. Warriors leading by 16. Now Green outside [Applause] Curry and it’s Jaden McDaniels with the foul. That’s foul number two for him. And now only one away from being in the penalty. Yep. The next one puts him on the line. So they’ve got to be careful the rest of the way. Dante Deanzo, he’s checked in for Minnesota. The Warriors also with a sub. Payton’s checked in. Back to Pajki. A three ball rebound Minnesota up top. Devenenzo guarded by Kirk and contact on the shot. So he’ll be shooting free throws here. Deenzo smartly getting into the defense there. Drawing a foul inside while taking the shot. That’s a smart offensive play by Deep Vincent. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. The throw drops for Devenenzo. Boy, the upside Denzo has is obvious. I mean, now it’s up to him to continue working on his game and keep getting better. [Applause] Enzo Devenenzo nails both of them. Warriors leading by 14. Green with a screen on C. It’s Curry outside. Rebounded by the Timberwolves. Go Bear’s got six rebounds here tonight. Outside Ed inwards has to go bear now down to five on the shot clock. Three-pointer Randle and it’s Curry with the rebound. Curry’s got his fourth rebound with that last one here tonight on the wing. Payton good and Curry gets the assist. Curry’s got three assists in the game. Curry really runs the offense well. Knows exactly the time to either shoot it or give it up to his teammates. Connley and it’s Curry with the rebound. Curry’s got his fifth rebound in this one. Green draws the double. Now Payton, he has five. Green finds Butler and looks like the illegal kick was set. Yep, that’s right. That’ll get their attention. Beyond the leaning, you could see his feet weren’t set on that screen. Easy call. Yeah, I agree. You know, sometimes that can be a tough call for the refs to make, but not that time. It was easy there. Always good to get another look at a terrific defensive play. Well, you got to take your defense up a notch in the playoffs. He takes it up about three notches on this block. outside. Connley has to go Bear. Edwards with it. Here’s the three. Trains it from beyond the arc. Edwards got 40 points. What an exhibition he’s putting on today. This is about as hot as you can get. And we’ve got a timeout called by Steve Kerr. Looking for a breather and maybe just one or two things to talk about. Squad. [Applause] Connley against Curry. And he makes the bucket, gets the whistle, and now a three-point play chance here for him. And Curry’s not the biggest guy, but he can sense the contact coming and makes the adjustment. And what do you guys think so far about the offensive approach for the Warriors? Well, you know, for me, the passing has been fantastic all night. Everybody loves watching this style of basketball where the ball moves and players move, coaches, fans, and even us broadcasters can appreciate that kind of action. Another thing they’ve done well tonight is convert at the free throw line. May seem like a little thing, but boy, it can pay big dividends. Even Chenzo passes to Go. The shot’s good from Denzo. Dvenzo’s got seven. Devenzo with a nice touch on the inside shot. Boy, he really knows how to make it work at close range. [Applause] Butler on the way. He is defended by [Applause] Randall. Peyton outside. Pocket six to the middle. It’s stolen by Go. Alexander Walker with the ball. Still yet to score. Edwards no good. They have been board dominant in this game. That’s definitely been a factor in crafting this huge lead and it’s been a well-rounded performance. I mean, strong rebounding has certainly been at been at the at the center of it, but it’s been good on a number of levels. Green with a screen for Curry. Back to Pajki and a miss there on the triple. And you could tell he thought that triple was going to fall. Anthony Edwards has a great body and knows how to control it. Showing you right there by taking advantage to draw the foul for Minnesota. They have attempted 11 free throws today and converted eight of them. shooting two. Free throw good. Edwards. So much confidence coming from Anthony Edwards. You can just see it. This is a guy who knows he belongs in the league and is hungry to be great. Reed, he’s checked in for Gobear. Golden State also making some changes. Kavon Looney comes in for Draymond Green. Moody subbed in for Brandon Pajki. And Edwards drops them both. And even though they’re down, they are putting on a show at the free throw line. Yeah, they’re making the most of their opportunities at the stripe and they’ll need to keep it up to take the lead. Pass to Butler outside Curry. [Applause] [Music] Reed with the block. Great denial by Reed. Boundless energy he brings. Timberl 13. And here’s Edwards. Now, here’s Randall. Here’s Alexander Walker. The Timberwolves again can’t hit. Pass to Payton. Even Jenzo against Curry Butler from outside. Anthony Edwards with the rebound. Minnesota shooting well. They’re at 45%. Just an attacker is Ram. Always seems like he’s being sent to the line. These are his third and fourth free throw attempts of the game. [Applause] shooting two. [Applause] That free throw good from Randall. And the Warriors making a change here. Kamingus checked in. [Applause] and so he hits both Warriors leading by [Applause] 11 outside Butler. Yeah, easy ball. Yeah, you can hear the smack all the way over here where we are. He’s had six attempts at the line. Made five of them. [Applause] And the first one drops. [Applause] [Applause] And so Butler nails both of them. Timberla by [Applause] 13 now. Here’s Steven Jenzo. He has seven. That one goes in. Even Jenzo’s got six in the quarter. and so far going for more of an inside presence here in the second half. Getting away from the three-point shot. Moody with it. Picked up by Edwards. Looney kicks to [Applause] Kaminga. Pass to Moody. Hits it from three-point range. Moody’s got 11 points. And they’ve got to talk to each other on D there. Miscommunication. And now he’s able to make him pay. Edwards against Butler. Outside Edwards. Here’s Devenenzo. And they come right back with their own three-pointer. He’s got 12. Well, you know that last three got Devenzo fired up now. He had to respond. He goes to the arc to shoot back with one of his own triples. Here’s Butler. Good for his eighth field goal. He’s attempted a dozen shots. It’s obvious they’ve taken fewer threes here in the second half and are focused on having a more balanced offensive attack. Pass to Edwards. [Music] Shot clock at five. and foul on the shot. He’ll shoot two at the free throw line. Oh, the the officials are all over that one. Clearly a foul. I mean, didn’t give him any choice but to blow the whistle. I mean, they got to play without fouling. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. And the first one at the line is good. He makes one of two that time. Peyton outside good and Butler gets the assist. Butler’s got assist number seven for him tonight. Jimmy Butler has been on display for the Golden State Warriors. A terrific quarter for him and now he has a look now at our assist of the game brought to you by State Farm and definitely deserving of the prize tonight. How about the read he made here? Looking like a point guard putting the pass right on the money. Terrific versatility coming from a big man. Not something that the majority of big guys possess. And there may not be a lot of drama down the stretch as we head into the fourth quarter, but stranger things have happened. Timberl 15 and Golden State looking at who they’ve got. Kaminga out there with Kavon Looney. Then there’s Gary Payton the second. again. What an avalanche. And he’s on a tear offensively, lighting up the scoreboard with a purpose. And how about this? He now holds the team’s single game record for postseason scoring. Now here’s Looney, guarded by Reed. Kaminga kicks to Kurt and it’s off from three-point range. But still eventually you got to feel like he’ll start knocking those down again. Pass to [Music] Devenenzo. And here’s Reed on the inside. Reed’s got a deep bag that he can go to. He’s a hard guy to cover. shooting two. And that one falls for Reed. And this is one of the things they need to keep doing in the second half to get this win. keep knocking down those free throws. They’ve been sensational here at the line. That’s also good. So, he hits both free throws. I like the fact that Reed is pretty crafty. He’s got a good understanding and feel for the game. I mean, he makes plays, especially around the hoop, that other big men can’t. out to the right wing. Here’s Moody. Minnesota with the rebound. Very dangerous to leave a guy like that open. Lucky break there for the D. Alexander Walker finds [Applause] Devenenzo outside. Edwards. The three connects again from distance. The three is coming fast and furious. He is scorching the net. Now GA tied for the third most three-point field goals in single game playoff history. And 10 triples equals Dave Willard’s buzzer beating performance in 2019 when he waved by to the Thunder. This is how competitive Curry is. He’s got a great competitive spirit. You drain a three on him, guess what? He’s looking to come right back at you. Reed with a screen for Edwards. Pass to Reed. Launches it and Moody pulls it down. It’s a plus five advantage for them in rebounding after that one. They get it again. Now here’s Kaminga. Traps in the tray. Kaminga’s got his first three points of the game. Yeah, that’s two straight three-pointers they’ve allowed. Outside Edwards over Moody. Edwards can’t hit. That’s one he knows he should have drank. Outside Bon. Another three for Golden State. It looks easy. Effortless. Curry natural from long range. Timberwolves trail by 17. Even passes to Edwards. Timberwolves passing it around. Pass to Reed looking to end the run. Sinks the triple and an eye for an eye. Both teams working to stretch the floor. Nothing like answering back. One team gets three. You fire three of your own. Boom. It’s three outside. Rebound Minnesota. Reeves got four rebounds in this game. and he lays it straight in. Tell you, I love the effort from the defense there, but inside Reed just had the strength to overpower him. Here’s Curry and he could not get that one to go. Lot of contact and he’ll go to the line for two. Yeah, the defender all over. He got him good there. I mean, that’s why the shot was so far off. [Applause] First free throw is good. And as a team, they’re hovering around the high 80s from the free throw line. They’ve gotten better as the game has gone along, which is exactly what you want to see. Minnesota making a switch here. Conley’s checked in and Golden State also making a change. Pajki, he’s checked in for Moody. And both free throws good for Curry. Timber’s trail by 14. And here’s Edwards from downtown. That’s rebounded by Curry. Curry’s got his eighth rebound here tonight. Edwards with the block. And you see Edwards trying to do this more. Impose his will at the defensive end. Good job defensively that time. And we got to take a second look to admire that outstanding block. Well, they didn’t make it this far by giving up easy ones. And now their defense is in overdrive. Moody’s check in for Payton. Stolen by Reed all by himself on up the court. Here’s Connley. Count the bucket. Coming off a perfectly placed assist. Pressuring the ball and making a play that created the opportunity. You know, you push it after a steal, there’s almost no chance the defense can get back and recover. Hurry from deep three-point land. And again, it’s the Warriors missing. You know, he looks a little offkilter to me this quarter. Still trying to find his rhythm. And the wide open shot from Devonzo. And with that one, the lead is trimmed to single digits. Sweet shooting from Denzel. Really comfortable getting that shot up quickly. Pass to Penski. Curry a screen on Devenel. Back to Curry. Six on the shot [Applause] clock. Minnesota with the rebound. Reeds got his sixth rebound on the night. Devenzo finds [Applause] Reed outside. Connley. Now here’s Dvenenzo. He’s defended by Penski. The shots good from Devincenzo. The adjustments they’ve made offensively, they’re putting guys in a position now to succeed. It’s certainly been an impressive run. They finally found the right formula to break down the defense. outside Curry deluting. Boom. He jams it straight down. And you can sense them just starting to squeeze and shrink this lead a little bit. Yeah, the game has a bit of a different texture than it did just a little bit ago. Suddenly, that lead is not looking as comfy and cozy as it once did. Near the three-point line, it’s Edwards. And that one falls coming off Conley’s feet. 50 points for Anthony [Applause] Edwards to Looney. Back to Pajki. Evenenzo with the rebound. Even Jenzo’s got his fourth rebound in this one. Whoops. Anticipated the pass. Turnover. Pajki finds Kaminga. misses from close range and the Timberwolves with possession. They’re on a 14-4 run. Edwards passes to Reed outside. Connley outside Edwards and another one falls. Amazing. And he’s up to 52 points. Yeah, making a GA look all too easy right now. pass to Louie outside. [Applause] Kuminga now [Applause] Curry to the left side [Applause] wing. Now here’s Moody for by Connley. They get the rebound. Here is Pachki from outside off the mark. One made three form for the game. Does he focus closer in? Let’s see. Right side. Conlin. Pass to Clark. Back to Conley. Six to shoot. Here’s Edwards. Here’s Reed. And it’s good. The time running down on the shot clock now. Just a three-point Warrior lead. And here’s Curry who brings it up for the Warriors. Earlier in the game, they had a 19-point lead. Floats it up for Kaminga. Hammers the alley crew. Oh, phenomenal alleyoop slam there. They are taking advantage of a team that looks lost out there. Boy, I tell you what, guys. This is really getting close to being real ugly. And so Chris Bench calls for the timeout and clearly an important juncture. He’s going to have some choice words with his team. Looking at who’s out there now for the Timberwolves. Goes checked in for Reed. Randall comes in for Clark. And it’s McDaniels in for Dante Deincenzo. Then for the Warriors, Draymond Green. He’s checked in for Cavon Looney. Butler comes in for Kaminga. And it’s Buddy Heel in for Moody. Two free throws coming up. And they call the shooting foul. Shooting two. And he knocks down the first one. and he’s been to the line much more here than he was in that first half. He’s not playing nearly as tentatively as he was earlier. And Edwards drops them both. Warriors leading by three. Curry pass it to Heel. Back to Curry. Lets a floater go. Count it. And the foul. Michael Connley picks one up. Well, he’s really been on a roll this quarter. Seems like everything he throws up is finding bottom. [Applause] [Applause] That’s good from Stephen Curry. They are cashing in on their chances at the line this half. That’s helping them in a big way. Connley dishes to Goar outside Edwards. Pass to Connley. Go with a screen on Kirk. Hanley with it now. Green defending and Buddy Heield is going to pick up the foul. That’s his first foul. [Applause] Outside Connley. Here’s McDaniels. And that one falls coming off Connley’s feet. Sad McDaniels. What a moment. Huge bucking there. Here’s Curry. Pass to Penski. Curry a screen on it. Pajki with it. It works there. Just five to shoot. Three-pointer heel. Rebounded by the Timberwolves. And on an open look like that, he’s very gifted at making the weak coverage pay. And Goar gets to Connley. Pass to Randall. Lays it up and banks it in. Now just a two-point Warrior lead. Calm when it counts. Randall has that clutch DNA. [Applause] Curry on the wing covered by Connley. And it’s Stephen Curry with a three. Curry’s got 39. When you need a big bucket, Curry knows exactly how to come through. Clutch. Here’s Edwards. Count it. And he’ll have a chance for a three-point play. And it goes on Draymond Green. At every level, Edwards has been the go-to guy for his team. It’s in his DNA. [Applause] Find the lane. Find the lane. One shot, guys. That was critical. I mean, that’s what we’re used to seeing out of him, though, at moments like this. Outside curve three-pointer. Go pulls it in. Boy, they dodged one there, guys. I mean, he got the wide open look that he wanted, just didn’t knock it down. Conlay. The pass to Mc that time would have put him up. The Warriors lead it. Pass to Green. He had stolen by Randall. And here’s Edwards that misses. Had a chance to tie it there. And it’s the Warriors on the break. Green dishes to heal. Here’s Curry. Curry crashes inside. Fearless. Curry takes on the challenge and gets that big basket to fall. Oh, here is Edwards. Hits it again. Wow. And he now owns third place for most points in a playoff game. An incredible game. No doubt. Nothing can slow him down. And now only Elgen Baylor and Michael Jordan ahead of him. How much further can he go? He had a foul to give there, but you’d rather not have it cost your team. I agree. I mean, you would have been better off using it on the floor and not on the shot, but the foul had to come either way. So, it is what it is. And guys, this is where their depth really comes into play. They they’ve got such talent at that position. They’d love to have him out there, but they won’t suffer much of a drop off. He drops the first one, and that makes it a three-point lead. [Applause] and he hits both free throws here. So now it’s a four-point ball game and that makes it a two-p possession game. Now those could turn out to be vital free throws. And so Chris Finch calls for the timeout. This is a huge moment, folks, in this game, and he wants to be prepared. The latest now from our sideline reporter, David Aldridge. David, it’s all yours. Take it away. Hey guys, I listened in on what Chris Finch was talking about with his players. You wouldn’t know they were down from what he was talking about. He was positive with the team. He was calm. He said he wanted to keep them focused. It’s pretty good approach, guys. Back to you. Thanks, [Applause] David. 46 seconds left in the fourth quarter. McDaniels passes through Edwards. This one for three. The Warriors pull it in. Earlier in the game, they had a 19-point [Applause] lead. Shooting foul as the whistle blows. He’ll shoot two free throws. It’s on Anthony Edwards. Wow. Wow. He got whacked on that one. Shouldn’t be much there. Blatant contact. Straightforward call. [Applause] Simple. He misses the first one. Boy, he wanted that one to fall. [Applause] And he ends up making the second and that puts them up by five. 8sec difference between the shot clock and the game clock. Three-pointer Randall. It’s in and he has brought them to within two points. He’s such a clutch shooter. He just lives for the big shot. And now we’ve got the intentional foul. [Applause] gets the first and that makes it a three-point lead. [Applause] And so he drops them both. It’s a four-point ball [Applause] game. Just one second between the shot clock and game clock. McDaniels count it. And what a sensational bucket to bring them within one. Oh, you just love seeing a player with absolutely no fear, cool, calm, collected, and confident in the biggest moment of the game. Yes. And you know what? Smart foul. You got to try and extend the game. Do it. It’s not over. The clock is as much a problem for them as the score is right now. So, they got to try to manage it. [Applause] He hits the first one and that will put them up by [Applause] two. And a tough break as a second attempt at the line. No good. can’t afford any wasted possessions down the stretch. It’s not over yet. Randall with a screen for Devincenzo. Randall outside. Got it. And tie game. That is a huge basket right there. No defensive pressure at all. I mean, that’s not going to get it done against him. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout and he knows there’s no room for mistakes and wants everyone on the same [Applause] page. [Applause] Here’s Poachki. And that’s going to do it for regulation. So, we are headed to overtime and we’ll be back right after [Music] this. Glad to have you with us as we get going in overtime. Neither team giving an inch in this one. Here we go. Now Randall Edwards on the wing. He’s joined by McDaniels. Goar is out there with Randall and it’s Devenzo in at the point. That’s a two from Randall. And again, it’s Minnesota. You’ve got to give them a lot of credit for just battling back into this game. Extremely impressive with the rally they made. I mean, we’ll see how much their comeback might have taken out of them and and we’ll see if they can keep that foot on the pedal now. He’s certainly been their go-to guy when it matters most. He’s trying to close this one out. Pass to McDaniels. Randle with a screen for McDaniel from beyond the arc and then some. McDaniels got the lead. Back up to two now for the Timberwolves. Here’s Pensky. back to Curry. That’s the three fly. A rebound by the Timberwolves. Nick Daniels got his fifth rebound right now in the [Applause] game. Outside Edwards. [Applause] Pajki grabs the board. Pajk has got his fourth rebound in this one. Wasted no time on that one. 12 points for Buddy Heel. No hesitation even from deep deep range. He is a solid shooter. Denzo kicks to Goar outside. Edwards trying to come right back with a three of his own. It’s no good. Pass to Pajki. Now is Curry. [Applause] The first one falls. [Applause] Stephen Curry hits them both. Overtime in full swing here. Two minutes off the clock. Go Bear with a screen for Edwards. Randle kicks to Devenenzo. Goar with a screen on Curry. Steven Shenzho hits the bucket. The defense is far too slow to close out on those three-point attempts. And those triples, they sure do add up quickly, don’t they? I mean, they’ve got to make some kind of adjustment here. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He has decided it’s the right time to talk. [Applause] Warriors have gone two of three from the floor as we’ve gotten this overtime period underway. And it’s Pensky in the corner. Golden State moving the ball [Applause] around. Randall against Butler. And there’s the foul. It goes on Jimmy Butler. That’s his third foul of the game. Yeah. way to get there first and be willing to absorb the contact. No question about it. No flop there. That was a direct shot to the chest. Timberwolves have gone three for five for their shot since we got started here in overtime. Pass to Devincenzo. And here’s [Applause] Randall. Back to Devenenzo. handle outside takes a three. That shot no good. Golden State’s gone two for three from beyond the arc to get over. Here’s Green. Here’s Curry with the three. It’s all in by Edwards. Edwards got four rebounds now tonight. Even Shenzo with it. Now here’s McDaniel to the inside. Here’s Go Bear. Green with the block. And really one of the toughest defenders we’ve seen in this league in a long time. Rink will contest every shot on every possession. And Butler not afraid of having the ball in his hands at these big moments. He’s a guy that you can count on to get it done in the clutch. Here’s Edwards and the call on the shot that sends him to the line. I mean, even from over here, you could see that one pretty clearly. No question about it. I mean, a ton of contact and a good call by the officials. [Applause] Shooting two. [Applause] He’s able to hit the second one and that narrows the gap to one. The Warriors shooting at 52% from the field. They’re clicking. Curry outside. Julius Randle with the rebound. And you could tell he thought that triple was going to fall. Here’s Denzo. It falls. Woohoo. Yes, Denzo. What a gamer. How do you miss these kind of big moments? Watch out. Here’s Curry and it’s wide right. It’s off the rim and he has definitely been struggling in this quarter. You know, guys, it seems to me as though he’s over anxious. He seems to be pressing, trying too hard, moving too fast. Just needs to calm himself down and wait for good shots. [Applause] [Applause] Break [Applause] up. So, the first one drops and that will put them up by two. [Applause] So, he gets them both and it’s a three-point game. No room for them to make a mistake here. You got to almost play perfect from here on out. I tell you what, he earned his money on that foul. Yeah, if you’re going to foul, then make sure that you don’t give a chance for the and one. [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] First free throw is good and that brings them within two here. [Applause] and both free throws good for Curry. And here is Deven Shenzo. guys are not going to be in any rush on this possession. And another one falls and he set a new alltime record for single game scoring in the playoffs. I mean, what a night to remember. And for those of us who are lucky enough to witness it, I’m sure we will never forget this. And Michael Jordan, the GOAT holding that top spot for decades to now witness someone break his record. I mean, this is crazy. [Applause] Two second difference between shot clock and game clock. And again, it’s the Warriors missing. And now an intentional foul. They need the ball back as soon as possible. shooting [Applause] two on the first and that gives them a four-point cushion. Second one is good. Getting both at the line and it’s a five-point game. Here’s Curry. No time to waste on this possession. Got to go right up with it and then foul immediately. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Applause] and drops the first one and that shrinks the margin to just four. [Applause] Stephen Curry hits them both. Fruitful trip to the line there. He’s made this a one possession game. Now they’re going to prolong the game here with an intentional foul. [Music] Take a break. Take a break. Two [Applause] shots. First free throw is good. And that gives them a four-point cushion. And the second free throw. No good. A tough break there. And there’s the intentional foul. No choice but to stop the clock here. Yeah. No way. That should have taken so long. They don’t have that much time to waste. They need to foul immediately. Taking two shots. shooting two. He hits the first one and that puts them up by five. So he goes two for two at the line and it’s a six-point ball game. Unflapable. This guy relishes being the man to put the game away. Three-pointer healed and again no good by Golden State. And Draymond Green picks up the foul. And so he’s picked up his final foul and he will sit for the rest of this game. And you know, it’s unfortunate they will not have him for the rest of this one, but the game seems out of reach anyway. And you hate to have a player foul out, but their depth could be an asset here, helping them weather his absence. [Applause] So, the first one drops and that makes it a seven-point lead. And so both free throws are good and it’s an eight-point game. You know, this overtime has been somewhat lackluster, mainly because both teams are clearly fatigued. And so the Timberwolves take the win. A pretty good feeling right now for them to be out in front like this in the series. You know, Kevin, moment Heat. Heat. N. in at the center position and for the Timberwolves. Edwards on the wing. He’s joined by McDaniels. Handle out there with Goar and it’s Connley in at the one. Now here is Connley. Mr. Go bear. Back to Connley. Five on the clock. Over in the corner, [Applause] Edwards. That’s in there. Connley with the assist. Composed and cool effort from Edwards inside. Not rushing himself or forcing a bad shot. Taking what’s available. Curry picks him up. Back to Curry. catch up a three. Randle grabs the board. I’m shocked that didn’t turn into three points. I mean, he makes you pay on those nearly every time. Offline with his three. And on an open look like that, he’s very gifted at making the weak coverage pay. Here’s Goar with the block. So good at finding these swats. Go loves reaching out and sending him away. Connley with it. Randall outside Edwards. He loves the nine shots at the rim and playing bigger than his 68 frame would lead you to believe. Boy, he is looking confident. Love how they’re using him so far. And you know what? They’re going to keep using. I mean, he’ll be the centerpiece of their offense today. You can bank on that. Now, here is Connley. Edwards looking it over. Will it go? Cans it from downtown. Edwards got his second bucket tonight. Boy, great take by Edwards making the correct decision in the pick and roll there. Aimsky on the wing outside. [Applause] Butler Curry against Pimsky in the [Applause] corner. hunts at five from 18 and it falls over the rim and in. And the lack of effort to fight over the screen there makes that an easy shot. Well, I’m going to credit the screen. I mean, that’s a good strong pick he lays there. And so Chris Finch calls for the timeout. This will give him a chance to discuss some potential alterations. [Applause] [Music] Randall finds Goar. Now here’s Connley. Randle surveying the D just fine on the [Applause] clock and the rebound goes to the [Applause] Warriors. First quarter play and just over 3 and 1/2 minutes in and that one clearly a foul. You got to say that scouts kind of missed on that one and he makes both free throws. Making it look effortless. Send this guy to the stripe. He’s going to cash in more than not. Pass to Connley. Go Bear with it. Outside Edwards and here’s Connley outside. No extra hips or elbows or they’ll call it. Here’s PMski. Butler from outside. Go pulls it in. Timber rolls trail by eight. Pass to Connley. Healed against McDaniel. Go Bear with a screen on Heel. Here’s McDaniels. Takes it off the glass. Basically just ignored that contact inside. Really tough finish by McDaniels. [Applause] Healed against McDaniel. He can’t hit. And so it’s Randle bringing it up now for Minnesota. Pass to Connley to the wing on the left. A nice shot by McDaniel. McDaniels got his second basket of the game. Throwing work inside by the 6’9 Jaden McDaniel showing how effective he can be down there. He misses the green. [Music] rebounded by the Timberwolves, but you will not see that from him very often, especially right at the rim. The shot by McDaniels, no good. Good defense there. Got away with a major lapse. Pass to Curry in the corner. It’s healed. Curry deciding where to go with it. Clever move by Curry taking the foul but still getting the shot. The Warriors have gone two for two in the game at the line. [Applause] [Applause] The first one falls. When you talk about shot mechanics, Curry is as close as you can get to perfect. I mean, you can tell he puts a lot of work into that part of his game and it pays off. [Applause] And both free throws good for Curry. Boy, how consistently good Steph’s been over the course of his career. Really remarkable. What a teammate. What a leader. What a player. And so Chris Vinch calls for the timeout. Wants to regroup and go over the strategy. [Music] [Applause] Get Rando passes to go. The Timberwolves working the ball around. Powerful move that time by Randall. He’ll go to the free throw line. The Timberwolves shooting their first free throws of the night right here. Two seconds. [Applause] That free throw missing. And you know, the impressive ascension of Randall has been a lot of fun to watch. I mean, he’s a double double threat who plays with relentless energy. [Applause] And the second free throw good. Warriors leading by five. Pass to Penski. Now heel. It’s stolen by Goar. McDaniels kicks to Connley. Back to McDaniels. Goar with a screen on heel inside. And the shot goes in from Rudy Goar. It’s like running into an immovable object. Go setting that pick nicely. Pass to Butler. Butler is on top. Curry with a wide open look. Does not score with that shot. It’s his second miss against two made shots. Well, you have to like their work on the boards, Kevin. Particularly here to start the game. Yeah, I like the way they’re setting the tone. really playing with a lot of energy here at the start. Edwards good and he is really in a zone right now playing and scoring with [Applause] confidence outside. [Applause] Butler back to [Applause] Curry puts it up and again it’s the Warriors missing Minnesota with them. Big stretch here going 10-2. McDaniels passes to Con and that won’t go. Missing the go-ahead bucket. Butler has never lacked a willingness to be aggressive and to hunt contact. And you got to love that toughness aspect about Jimmy Butler’s game. And a look at how the offensive approach has been going here so far for the Timberwolves. straight away they they’ve opened things up offensively with skillful passing, running smart plays, and just setting guys up for success. The Timberwolves trip high post Goar and Goar throws it down. The sevenfooter plus Rudy Goar goes up and makes it hurt coming down on their passenger to [Applause] heel. Green with a screen on it. Six to shoot. Heel kicks the buck. Lets it go from deep. Buries it from three-point range. Butler’s got knocked. Butler very aware of the situation there. No time to spare at all. Saves him from the shot clock violation. Freed with a screen on heel. And here’s Edwards from the arc. Looks good. Is good. Bucket number four from the field. He’s taken only six shots. And so Steve Cerr calls for the timeout. He’s going to have a discussion here on the sideline. And some changes here for the Timberwolves. Highs checked in. and Nquille Alexander Walker in for [Applause] McDaniels. Golden State’s gotten just two of six to fall from three-point range so far in the [Applause] first three-pointer. Butler evenzo with the rebound. Timber rolls on offense. They’re on a 15-6 run. And here’s Edwards from the arc and the rebound goes to the [Applause] Warriors. Here’s Spencer to ask for Butler. Here’s [Music] Spencer. Find the shoot. And that one’s on target from the wing. Guys back and forth this first half. And this could continue to go back and forth the entire way. Outside Edwards. There’s the pick for three. That’s good. Basket number five on a five for eight night shooting. So they’re getting a lot of their points outside the paint. Three of their last five baskets are from three-point range. [Applause] pass to Moody. Good. And Bucker gets the assist and the Warriors lead by one. And we’ve seen several lead changes tonight. Neither team giving an inch. Yeah. And the lead has changed hands and it just hasn’t stayed in those hands very long when it’s changed. Back and forth we go. And you don’t want to give up that kind of look too often. Now here’s Moody Edwards defending. Here’s Butler again. Golden State. Hey, if he can’t get to the basket, the medium range jumper is JB’s second [Music] option. Outside Edwards over Moody. Edwards with another miss. And so it’s Butler with it. They’ll bring it up for Golden State. It’s a three-point game. 112 left to play in the first quarter. Pulls it in. Minnesota’s gotten a lot of shots off from three-point land in the first quarter, but they’re only four of nine. Outside Edwards. Edwards with another miss. And he didn’t punish them for the weak coverage there, but they can’t count on him to continue missing. And Butler just excellent at finding ways to get to the strike, especially when he’s near the basket. Timber trail by five. Two seconds separate the shot clock and game [Applause] clock. You know, another thing they’ve done really well, I think, is get quality shots from behind the three-point line and knock them down too. Setting the floor for the Warriors. Gary Payton the second is out there with Kaminga. Then it’s Curry. Then it’s Cavan Looney and it’s Moody in at the two guard spot. The shot drops. His shooting percentage improves. He’s three for seven now with that basket. Off a pass. Steph Curry. That one is always going in or almost always going in. Even Chenzo passes to Alexander Walker and Reed throws it down. Nothing soft about the put back there. And why chance it, right? Take the dunk if you got it. Well, you know, if nobody going to put a body on him, then that’s going to be the result. [Music] Now here’s Moody. Tight defense on him. [Applause] [Music] Curry is inside. Edwards defending. Kaminda rebound. Minnesota. Porter number two with just over a minute gone. Even Jenzo finds Edwards. Reed with it. Pass to Alexander Walker. Castoney Curry with puts up a deep three. You know, that’s how it goes with him. I mean, his hot streaks, guys, don’t last minutes, they last days. Timberwolves trail by [Applause] five. Go’s checked in for Minnesota. I Connley comes in for Alexander Walker. Then for the Warriors, Green, he’s checked in for Looney. And it’s Brandon Pajki in for Moody. Connley against Curry. And Curry’s really a master at drawing contact. defense has to be careful when defending him. The Warriors have shacked 70% from the free throw line tonight. Seven for 10. [Applause] And the first one drops. [Applause] Stephen Curry hits them both. Just under three and a half minutes played here in the second quarter. Connley the pass to Devenenzo. Connley sets a screen for Dvenenzo. As to Edwards from outside the arc. Edwards crashing in from outside. Might want to track this guy. Mark him definitely just deadly from deep so far. Now Pajinski outside Green tries the spin move. Curry dishes to Kaminga. Pass to Green for Goar got it from 16 ft. Green’s got his second basket of the night. The closer the better for Draymond, but once he’s in his comfort zone, he’s good to go. Curry against Come. One thing about Draymond, he almost invites contact. has to go bear. Rando comes in for Reed. And it’s McDaniels in for Dante Devincenzo. Butler, he’s checked in for the Warriors. Heielded comes in for [Applause] Payton. Back to PJski. Go Bear has got his fourth rebound with that last one here tonight. Well, you know, they’re in the lead, but he’s still been frustrated from an offensive standpoint. McDaniels dishes to Edwards. Over in the corner, Randall. That’s in there. Connley with the assist. Connley’s got three assists now in this one. Tried to answer back, but that three is off the mark. Majky with it. Out defended by Randall. Lee just kind of stepping aside and letting him get to the rim. Whistle blows. Incredible heat. [Music] [Applause] [Applause] Nice work that time by Draymond to draw the foul while in the act of shooting there. This is his first chance at the line tonight. [Applause] Take a break. Take break. Two shots. [Applause] That’s good from Green. There’s always a spot for a guy like Draymond Green on your side. An incredible defender. He’s unselfish offensively and a highly skilled [Applause] passer. Both free throws good from Green. Timberwolves trail by five. Connley scanning the floor. It’s Edwards on the wing. Covered by Heel. Shot clock at six. Feder on the way. McDaniels. Misses the three. Warriors leading by [Applause] five. Pajki on the wing. Pass the button from deep. Nails it from deep. Jimmy Butler. Perhaps not the forte of Butler’s game, but he does have the range to hurt you from the perimeter. Edwards kicks to Randall. Stolen. And it’s the Warriors on the break. And then heel with the agile play to get his hand in there and get the steal. intelligent play to immediately start the break. The Timberwolves have gone seven to 16, shooting just under 50% here in the second quarter. Go with the pass to Randall to the paint looking for Goar who gets it there and that’ll be two free throws coming up. Officials on the call with the foul. It’s on Jimmy Butler. I like seeing Gobear use the shot fake because it’s an effective way to get the defenders into the paratroopers club. Randall and the shot is good. Connley kicks to Devenzo. Bandle no good. Warriors leading by [Applause] 10. And here is Moody. He’s got five. And the wide open shot from Green. Randall right side and Butler sends it back and it goes out of bounds. That one off Butler. [Applause] Connley with the three and he was able to put it up in time but doesn’t fall. And so it’s the Golden State Warriors looking at a 13-point lead heading into the next quarter. They’ve been putting on a clinic in the paint. Shots are falling with regularity and they are pounding it down low and a chance now to send it over to David Aldridge standing by Court. Thanks David and we’ll be back shortly following halftime to get the third quarter [Applause] underway. They’ve had a lot of success in transition running for their lives like a turkey in November. I don’t know that that’s a great comparison or a good turkey sound effect. Neither is [Music] that. Butler puts up a three. Another three for Golden State. The defense a step slow. You can see the results. And guys, now that they’re rolling from out there, the defense has to really get up into them, you got to almost be in their jerseys to try to deny those looks. Three-pointer Randall. That’s in there. Connley with the assist. has got five assists in the game. [Applause] Just under three and a half minutes played here in the third quarter. Go Bear with a screen for McDaniel. Offensive rebound. Right side. Earlier in the game, they had a 19-point lead on the wing heel. Stephen Curry hits them [Applause] both. Here’s Connley. [Applause] Pass to McDaniels. Now, here is Edwards. And again, it’s Minnesota converting. Boy, he’s making it look really easy right now. I expect him to continue to run the offense through until the defense makes them change [Applause] plan. Healed outside. Back to Curry. [Music] Curry gets it to go inside. As a defender, it’s got to be a feudal feeling when Curry’s in the zone like this. Outside Edwards handle outside off target with his three. Defenszo smartly getting into the defense there. Drawing a foul inside while taking the shot. That’s a smart offensive play by Devontenzo. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. The throw drops for Dvenenzo. Boy, the upside Dvenenzo has is obvious. I mean, now it’s up to him to continue working on his game and keep getting better. [Applause] And so Denenzo nails both of them. Connley. And it’s Curry with the rebound. Outside Connley has to go Bear. Devenzo passes to Go. [Music] The shots good from Denzo. Enzo’s got seven. Deanzo with the nice touch on the inside shot. Boy, he really knows how to make it work at close range. [Applause] Butler on the way. He is defended by Randall. Peyton outside. Pocket six to the middle. It’s stolen by Go. Alexander Walker with the ball. Still yet to score. Edwards no good. They have been board dominant in this game. That’s definitely been a factor in crafting this huge lead. And it’s been a well-rounded performance. [Applause] Shooting two. Free throw good. Edwards. So much confidence coming from Anthony Edwards. You can just see it. This is a guy who knows he belongs in the league and is hungry to be great. Reed, he’s checked in for Goar. Pass to Butler outside [Applause] Curry. Reed with the block. Great denial by Reed. Boundless energy he brings. Timber trail by 13. And here’s Edwards. Now here’s Randall. Here’s Alexander Walker. The Timberwolves again can’t hit. Pass to Payton. Even Jenzo against Curry. Butler from outside. Kaminga checked in. [Applause] and so he hits both Warriors leading by 11. [Applause] Astraloney outside Butler. Yeah, easy call. Yeah, you can hear the smack all the way over here where we are. He’s had six attempts at the line. Made five of them. [Applause] And the first one drops. [Applause] [Applause] And so Butler nails both of them. Timberwolves trail by [Applause] 13 now. Here is Steven Jenzo. Edwards against Butler outside Edwards. [Music] Shot clock at five and foul on the shot. He’ll shoot two at the free throw line. Oh, the the officials are all over that one. Clearly a foul. I mean, didn’t give him any choice but to blow the whistle. I mean, you got to play without fouling. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. [Applause] And the first one at the line is good. He makes one of two that time. Peyton outside. Good. And Butler gets the assist. Butler’s got assist number seven for him tonight. Jimmy Butler has been on display for the Golden State Warriors. A terrific quarter for him. And now he has a And how about a look now at our assist of the game brought to you by State Farm. and definitely deserving of the prize tonight. How about the read he made here looking like a point guard putting the pass right on the money. Terrific versatility coming from a big man. Not something that the majority of big guys possess. And there may not be a lot of drama down the stretch as we head into the fourth quarter, but stranger things have happened. Timberl 15 and Golden State looking at who they’ve got. Kaminga out there with Kavan Looney. Then there’s Gary Payton, the second again. What an avalanche. And he’s on a tear offensively, lighting up the scoreboard with a purpose. And how about this? He now holds the team’s single game record for postseason scoring. Now here’s Looneyed by Reed. Kaminga kicks to Kurt and it’s off from three-point range. But still eventually you got to feel like he’ll start knocking those down again. Pass to Devenenzo. Alexander Walker finds [Applause] Steven outside. Reed with a stream for Edwards. That’s one he knows he should have drained. Outside Baitton. Another three for Golden State. It looks easy. Effortless. Curry natural from long range. Timberwolves trail by 17. Venenzo passes to Edwards. Timberwolves passing it around. Pass to Reed looking to end the run. Sinks the triple and an eye for an eye. Both teams working to stretch the floor. Nothing like answering back. One team gets three. You fire three of your own. Boom. It’s three outside. Rebound. Minnesota. Timberwolves trail by 14. And here’s Edwards from downtown. That’s rebounded by Curry. Curry’s got his eighth rebound here tonight. Edwards with the punt. And you see Edwards trying to do this more and pose his will at the defensive end. And the wide open shot from Denzo. And with that one, the lead is trimmed to single digits. Sweet shooting from Denzo. Really comfortable getting that shot up quickly. Pass to PJski. Curry a screen on Dean Genzo. Back to Curry. Six on the shot [Applause] clock. Minnesota with the rebound. Reeds got his sixth rebound on the night. Devenzo finds [Applause] Reed outside. Connley. Now here’s Devenenzo. He’s defended by Penski. The shots good from Denzo. The adjustments they’ve made offensively. They’re putting guys in a position now to succeed. It’s certainly been an impressive run. They finally found the right formula to break down the defense. outside. Curry extra looting. 50 points for Anthony Edwards to Looney. Back to Bajki. Evenenzo with the rebound. Even Jenzo’s got his fourth rebound in this one. Whoops. Anticipated the pass. Turnover. Pajki finds Kaminga. misses from close range and the Timberwolves with possession. They’re on a 14-4 run. Edwards passes to Reed. Outside Connley outside Edwards. And another one falls. Amazing. And he’s up to 52 points. Yeah. Making a GA look all too easy right now. pass to Looney outside. [Applause] Kuminga now [Applause] Curry to the left side [Applause] wing. Now here’s Moody over by Connley. They get the rebound. Here is Poachki from outside off the mark. Go. He’s checked in for Reed. Randall comes in for Clark. And it’s McDaniels in for Dante Devincenzo. Then for the Warriors, Raymond Green. Connley dishes to Goar outside. Edwards. Pass to Connley. Goar with a screen on Kirk. Hanley with it now. Green defending and Buddy Heield is going to pick up the foul. That’s his first foul. [Applause] Outside Connley. Here’s McDaniels. And that one falls coming off Conley’s feet. Saving McDaniels. What a moment. Huge miss. Here’s Curry. Pass to Pensky. Curry. A screen on it. Pajki with it. It works there. Just tried to shoot. Three-pointer heel. Rebounded by the Timberwolves. And on an open look like that, he’s very gifted at making the weak coverage pay. And Gobear gets to Connley. Pass to Randall. Lays it up and banks it in. Now just a two-point Warrior lead. Calm when it counts. Randall has that clutch DNA. Curry on the wing covered by Connley. And it’s Stephen Curry with a three. Curry’s got 39. When you need a big bucket, Curry knows exactly how to come through. Clutch. Here’s Edwards. Count it. And he’ll have a chance for a threepoint play. And it goes on Draymond Green. At every level, Edwards has been the go-to guy for his team. It’s in his DNA. [Applause] Find the lane. Find the lane. One shot. Guys, that was critical. I mean, that’s what we’re used to seeing out of him, though, at moments like this. Outside curve. Pointer go pulls it in. Boy, they dodged one there, guys. I mean, he got the wide open look that he wanted, just didn’t knock it down. Conley. The pass to McDaniels on this that time would have put him up. The Warriors leader. He had a foul to give there, but you’d rather not have it cost your team points. So now it’s a four-point ball game and that makes it a two- possession game. Thanks, David. 46 seconds left in the fourth quarter. McDaniels passes to Edwards. Simple. [Applause] And he misses the first one. [Applause] [Applause] gets the first and that makes it a three-point lead. [Applause] And so he drops them both. It’s a four-point ball [Applause] game. Just one second between the shot clock and game clock. McDaniels. Count it. And what a sensational bucket to bring them within one. Oh, you just love seeing a player with absolutely no fear. Cool, calm, collected, and confident in the biggest moment of the game. Yes. And you know what? Smart power. You got to try and extend the game. Do it. It’s not over. The clock is as much a problem for them as the score is right now. So, they’ve got to try to manage it. [Applause] He hits the first one and that will put them up by [Applause] two. And a tough break as his second attempt at the line. No good. can’t afford any wasted possessions down the stretch. It’s not over yet. Randall with a screen for Devenzo. Randall outside. Got it. And tie game. That is a huge basket right there. No defensive pressure at all. I mean, that’s not going to get it done against him. And so Steve Cerr calls for the timeout and he knows there’s no room for mistakes and wants everyone on the same [Applause] page. Here’s Poachki. Goar is out there with Randall. And it’s Devenzo in at the point. That’s a two from Randall. And again, it’s Minnesota. You’ve got to give them a lot of credit for just battling back into this game. Extremely impressive with the rally they made. I mean, we’ll see how much their comeback might have taken out of them and we’ll see if they can keep that foot on the pedal now. He’s certainly been their go-to guy when it matters most. He’s trying to close this one out. Pass to McDaniels. And over the screen for McDaniels from beyond the arc and then some. Pajk’s got his fourth rebound in this one. Wasted no time on that one. 12 points for Buddy Heel. No hesitation even from deep deep range. He is a solid shooter. Devenzo kicks to Goar outside. Edwards tried to come right back with the three of his own, but it’s no good. Pass to Pajki. Now is Curry. [Applause] The first one falls. [Applause] Stephen Curry hits them both. Overtime in full swing here of two minutes off the clock. Go Bear with a screen for Edwards. Randall kicks to Devenenzo. Goar with a screen on Curry. Even Shenzhel hits the bucket. The defense is far too slow to close out on those three-point attempts. And those triples, they sure do add up quickly, don’t they? I mean, they’ve got to make some kind of adjustment here. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He has decided it’s the right time to [Applause] talk. Warriors have gone two of three from the floor as we’ve gotten this overtime period underway. And it’s Pensky in the corner. Golden State moving the ball around. [Applause] Randall against Butler. And there’s the foul. It goes on Jimmy Butler. That’s his third foul of the game. Yeah, way to get there first and be willing to absorb the contact. No question about it. No flop there. That was a direct shot to the chest. Timberwolves have gone three for five for their shot since we got started here in overtime. Pass to Devincenzo. And here’s Randall. Back to Devenenzo. Randle outside takes a three. That shot no good. Golden State’s gone two for three from beyond the arc to get over. Here’s Green. Here’s Curry with the three. It’s hauled in by Edwards. Edwards got four rebounds now tonight. Shenzo with [Applause] it. Now here’s McDaniel to the inside. Here’s Goar Green with the block. And really one of the toughest defenders we’ve seen in this league in a long time. Bring will contest every shot on every possession. And Butler not afraid of having the ball in his hands at these big moments. He’s a guy that you can count on to get it done in the clutch. Here’s Edwards and the call on the shot that sends him to the line. Even from over here, you could see that one pretty clearly. No question about it. I mean, a ton of contact and a good call by the officials. [Applause] Shooting two. And he cannot get the first one to drop. Tough one to miss. He’s able to hit the second one and that narrows the gap to one. The Warriors shooting at 52% from the field. They’re clicking. Curry outside. Julius Randle with the rebound. And you could tell he thought that triple was going to fall. Here’s Devenenzo. It falls. Woohoo. Yes, Denzel. What a gamer. How do you miss these kind of big moments? Watch out. Here’s Curry and it’s wide right. It’s off the rim. And he has definitely been struggling in this quarter. You know, guys, it seems to me as though he’s over anxious. He seems to be pressing, trying too hard, moving too fast. Just needs to calm himself down and wait for good shots. [Applause] break. So, the first one drops and that will put them up by two. [Applause] So, he gets them both and it’s a three-point game. No room for them to make a mistake here. You got to almost play perfect from here on out. I tell you what, he earned his money on that foul. Yeah, if you’re going to foul, then make sure that you don’t give a chance for the end one. [Applause] First free throw is good and that brings them within two here. [Applause] and both free throws good for Curry. And here is Steven Shenzo. guys are not going to be in any rush on this possession. And another one for And he set a new alltime record for single game scoring in the playoffs. I mean, what a night to remember. And for those of us who are lucky enough to witness it, I’m sure we will never forget this. And Michael Jordan, the GOAT, holding that top spot for decades to now witness someone break his record. I mean, this is crazy. [Music] two second difference between shot clock and game clock. And again, it’s the Warriors missing. And now an intentional foul. They need the ball back as soon as possible. shooting [Applause] two on the first and that gives them a four-point cushion. Second one is good in both at the line and it’s a five-point game. Here’s Curry. No time to waste on this possession. Got to go right up with it and then foul immediately. [Music] Oh, heat, heat. [Applause] and drops the first one. And that shrinks the margin to just four. [Applause] Stephen Curry hits them both. Fruitful trip to the line there. He’s made this a one possession game. Now they’re going to prolong the game here with an intentional foul. taking two shots. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. Three-pointer healed. And again, no good by Golden State. You know, Kevin, momentum is [Music] Heat. Heat. in at the center position and for the Timberwolves. Edwards on the wing. He’s joined by McDaniels. Handle out there with Goar and it’s Connley in at the one. Now here is Connley. Mr. Go bear. Back to Connley. Five on the clock. Over in the corner, [Applause] Edwards. That’s in there. Conley with the assist. A composed and cool effort from Edwards inside. Not rushing himself or forcing a bad shot. Taking what’s available. Curry picks him up. Back to Curry. jacks up a three. Randle grabs the board. I’m shocked that didn’t turn into three points. I mean, he makes you pay on those nearly every time. Offline with his three. And on an open look like that, he’s very gifted at making the weak coverage pay. Here’s he go with the block. So good at finding these swats. Go loves reaching out and sending him away. Connley with it. Randall outside. Aimsky on the wing outside [Applause] Butler. Curry against Pimsky in the corner. [Applause] at five from 18 and it falls over the rim and in and the lack of effort to fight over the screen there makes that an easy shot. Well, I’m going to credit the screen. I mean, that’s a good strong pick he lays there. And so Chris Finch calls for the timeout. This will give him a chance to discuss some potential alterations. [Applause] [Music] Randall finds Goar. Now here’s Connley. Randall surveying the D. Just five on the clock. [Applause] And the rebound goes to the [Applause] Warriors. First quarter play and just over 3 and 1/2 minutes in. And that one clearly a foul. Gets the whistle and two shots coming up. What I love about Jimmy Butler, there’s a lot to like, but he brings it every night. His consistency and toughness and production, plays with passion, leads his team well. Love that throwback mentality of his team. [Applause] First free throw is good. Well, you go back and look at the career that Jimmy Butler’s had. Hard to believe that he was the 30th pick of the draft when he came out of college. You got to say that scouts kind of missed on that one and he makes both free throws. Making it look effortless. Send this guy to the stripe. He’s going to cash in more than not. Pass to Connley. Go Bear with [Music] it. Outside Edwards and here’s Connley outside. Rebound by Butler. Not quite enough defense that time around. Just lucky he was off. And the shot goes in. No extra hips or elbows or they’ll call it. Here’s PMski. Butler from outside. Go pulls it in. Timberwolves trail by eight. Pass to Connley. Healed against McDaniel. Go Bear with a screen on Heel. Here’s McDaniels. Takes it off the glass. Basically just ignored that contact inside. Really tough finish by McDaniels. Healed against McDaniel. He can’t hit and so it’s Randall bringing it up now for Minnesota. Pass to Connley to the wing on the left. A nice shot by McDaniel. McDaniels got his second basket of the game. Strong work inside by the 6’9 Jaden McDaniel showing how effective he can be down that heel. This is Deg [Music] Green. Rebounded by the Timberwolves, but you will not see that from him very often, especially right at the rim. The shot by McDaniels. No good. Wants to regroup and go over the [Applause] strategy. Keep going. [Applause] Rando passes to go. The Timberwolves working the ball around. Powerful move that time by Randall. He’ll go to the free throw line. [Applause] The Timberwolves shooting their first free throws of the night right here. [Applause] Pass to Butler. Butler is on top. Curry with a wide open look. Does not score with that shot. It’s his second miss against two made shots. Well, you you have to like their work on the boards, Kevin. Particularly here to start the game. Yeah, I like the way they’re setting the tone. really playing with a lot of energy here at the start. Edwards good and he is really in a zone right now playing and scoring with [Applause] confidence outside [Applause] Butler. Back to [Applause] Curry puts it up and again it’s the Warriors missing Minnesota with the ball. Big stretch here going 10-2. McDaniels passes to come and that won’t go. Missing the go-ahead bucket. Butler has never lacked the willingness to be aggressive and to hunt contact. And you got to love that toughness aspect about Jimmy Butler’s game. A lot of their points have come from inside. And he knocks down the first one. Reed, he’s checked in for Julius Randall. Payton, he’s checked in for Golden State. [Applause] That one is no good. The Timberwolves trip high post Goar and Goar throws it down. The sevenfooter plus Rudy Goar goes up and makes it hurt coming down passes to heel. Green with a screen on it. Six to shoot. Heel kicks the buck. Lets it go from deep. Buries it from three-point range. Butler’s got nine. Butler very aware of the situation there. No time to spare at all. Saves him from the shot clock violation. Freed with a screen on heel. And here’s Edwards from the arc. Looks good. Is good. Bucket number four from the field. He’s taken only six shots. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He’s going to have a discussion here on the sideline. And some changes here for the Timberwolves. Pinage checked in and Nquille Alexander Walker in for [Applause] McDaniels. Golden State’s gotten just two of six to fall from three-point range so far in the first. three-pointer Butler evenzo with the rebound. Timberwolves on offense. They’re on a 15-6 run. And here’s Edwards from the arc. And the rebound goes to the [Applause] Warriors. Here’s Spencer to ask Butler. Here’s Spencer. find the shoot and that one’s on target from the wing. Guys back and forth this first half and this could continue to go back and forth the entire way outside Edwards. It’s a three-point [Music] game. 112 left to play in the first quarter. Pulls it in. Minnesota’s gotten a lot of shots off from three-point land in the first quarter, but they’re only four of nine. Outside Edwards. Edwards with another miss. And really the scoring this quarter has been just off the charts. is doing all he can to bring him back. Cars is checked in. Curry’s checked in for Golden State. [Applause] And so Butler nails both of them. Timber trail by five. Two seconds separating the shot clock and game clock. Outside [Applause] Edwards. 12 seconds left in the first quarter. Pass to Devincenzo. [Applause] lets it go with a three. You know, another thing they’ve done really well, I think, is get quality shots from behind the three-point line and knock them down too. Setting the floor for the Warriors. Gary Payton the second is out there with Kaminga. Then it’s Curry. Then it’s Cavan Looney. And it’s Moody in at the two guard spot. The shot drops. His shooting percentage improves. He’s three for seven now with that basket. Off a pass. Steph Curry. That one is always going in or almost always going in. Even Chenzo passes to Alexander Walker and Reed throws it down. Nothing soft about the putback there. And why chance it, right? Take the dunk if you’ve got it. Well, you know, if nobody’s going to put a body on him, then that’s going to be the result. [Music] Now here’s Moody. Tight defense on him. [Applause] [Music] Curry is inside. Edwards defending. Rebound. Minnesota. Porter number two with just over a minute gone. Even Genzo finds Edwards. Reed with it. Pass to Alexander Walker. Castoney Curry with puts up a deep three. You know, that’s how it goes with Phil. His hot streaks, guys, don’t last minutes, they last days. And foul on the shot. So, he’ll get a chance at the line. really at the right plate defensively. If you can’t block, force them to the line. Yeah, exactly. Prevent the layup. Give them a little bump and then maybe they’ll think twice about coming into the lane next time. And if they don’t think about it, at least they might be distracted by your presence. That free throw no good. And the Timberwolves making a change here. Ingles has checked in. [Applause] And he can’t get The second one to drop either coming up empty that time. Timberwolves trail by [Applause] five. Pass to Reed. Now Alexander Walker no good with the triple. Payton looking around. Got a piece of it. And so it looks like the Warriors will retain possession here. Great instincts from him to get a hand on that pass and tip it out. And you know, even though they didn’t come up with the steal, that’s still a nice defensive play. Go. He’s checked in for Minnesota. Mike Connley comes in for Alexander Walker. Then for the Warriors, Green, he’s checked in for Looney. And it’s Brandon Pajki in for Moody. Connley against Curry. And Curry’s really a master at drawing contact. The defense has to be careful when defending him. The Warriors have checked 70% from the free throw line tonight. 7 for [Applause] 10 shooting two. [Applause] And the first one drops. [Applause] [Applause] Stephen Curry hits them both. Just under three and a half minutes played here in the second quarter. Connley the pass to Devenenzo. Connley sets a screen for Dvenenzo. Pass to Edwards from outside the arc. Edwards cashing in from outside. Might want to track this guy. Mark him definitely just deadly from deep so far. Now Pinski outside. Reayon Green grabs the miss. And the great shooters know when they’ve got enough opening to go for the three. I didn’t think it was a bad choice on that possession. Pajimki finds Green in the hoop for his third make from the field. He’s three for four thus far in the contest. And one thing about Draymond, he almost invites contact. Has to go bear. Timberwolves passing it around. Knocked away. Reed the pass to Con. Now here’s Go Bear. The Timberwolves need to get a shot off here. Reed misses. Baiton kicks to [Applause] Curry. Green with a screen on Con. Curry can’t get it to go. Timberwolves trail by eight. Rando comes in for Reed. And it’s McDaniels in for Dante Devincenzo Butler. He’s checked in for the Warriors. He comes in for Payton. [Applause] and Go Bear drops them both. Warriors leading by six. Left side. Curry. Back to Butler. Pass to Heel. Veinsky with it. fires from deep. It’s good from long range, but got the lead up to nine now for the Warriors. Defensively, there was a lack of aggressiveness and it really made it easy for him to knock that shot down. And so, Chris Finch calls for the timeout. Wants to talk some things over. Might be seeing some things to adjust. [Applause] Minnesota’s gotten into trouble with the three ball in the second quarter, only hitting one of five attempts. Connley sets a screen for Edwards and the three ball is good. Edwards got eight points in the quarter and once again the defense allowing him to get a clean look at that triple. He continues to do Big time damage from downtown. Back to PJski. Healed outside and he can’t answer back. The three-pointer off lot. Here’s Edwards. The muscle from Edwards. Boy, you love to see Edwards shine on offense like this. I know it’s got to be making his coach happy, too. Outside Butler. [Applause] Back to [Applause] Curry. Rudy Goar with the rebound. Go Bear’s got his fourth rebound with that last one here tonight. I mean, let’s see if he can keep it going and maintain this outside. [Applause] Back to Conry. McDaniels passes to Conry now. McDaniels. Six on the shot clock. Tried to answer back, but that three is off the mark. Majky with it. Out defended by Randall. Lee just kind of stepping aside and letting him get to the rim. There’s a reason G the lead is what it is right now. Blows. Bucket is good. And he’ll have a chance at the line to make it a three-point play. [Applause] Take break. Take break. Two shot. That’s good from Green. There’s always a spot for a guy like Draymond Green on your side. An incredible defender. He’s unselfish offensively and a highly skilled passer. [Applause] Old free throw is good from [Applause] Green. Timberwolves trail by five. Connley scanning the floor. It’s Edwards on the wing. Covered by Heel. Shot clock at six. Faded on the way. McDaniels. Misses the three. Warriors leading by [Applause] five. Aki on the wing. [Music] Pass the button from deep. Nails it from deep. Jimmy Butler. Perhaps not the forte of Butler’s game, but he does have the range to hurt you from the perimeter. Edwards kicks to Randall, stolen, and it’s the Warriors on the break. And then heel with the T. Agile play to get his hand in there and get the steal. intelligent play to immediately start the break. Randall and the shot is good. Dropping in off the front of the rim. Randle’s got five points now in the quarter and it’s the Warriors ball. They’re on a 14-6 run. Here’s Butler. Butler making it happen inside. Tell you what, he has been feeling it, guys. And the best game plan right now, it’s elementary. Just keep feeding him. Let him eat. Conley kicks to Devenzo. Connley up top. He’s defended by Pompeki. Connley dishes to Go. Handle no good. Warriors leading by [Applause] 10. And here is Moody. He’s got five. And the wide open shot from Green. It’s Heel just four to shoot while their passes to Heel. Good. And Butler gets the assist. He’s got five. The assist totals, Kevin, just continue to grow. They’re way ahead in that category. Ball movement has been flawless. Clearly just an example of a different mindset between these teams. Connley finds Edwards from past the ark and again for three. And he let it fly from long range to devastating effect. Butler puts up a three. Another three for Golden State. The defense a step slow and you can see the result. And the D looks shell shocked. And guys, now that they’re rolling from out there, the defense has to really get up into them, you got to almost be in their jerseys to try to deny those looks. Nick Daniels passes to [Music] Connley over to the left wing. Three-pointer Randall. That’s in there. Connley with the assist. has got five assists in the game. Curry pass it to Greensky with it. Healed outside and he gets the whistle. Two free throws coming up. Heel so good at finding ways to get it in the hoop regardless of who’s defending. First trip to the free throw line for him in this one. [Applause] [Applause] That one is off. [Applause] Just under three and a half minutes played here in the third quarter. Go Bear with a screen for McDaniel. Offensive rebound. Right side. Nick Daniels defending. Here’s Curry shooting foul. As the whistle blows, he’ll shoot two free throws. Michael Connley picks one up. And how about mixing it up inside there. Steph still a threat. That nimleness he has helps him to get that shot [Applause] off. And he makes the [Applause] [Music] first. Stephen Curry hits them [Applause] both. Here’s Connley. Pass to McDaniels. Now, here is Edwards. And again, it’s Minnesota converting. Boy, he’s making it look really easy right now. I expect him to continue to run the offense through until the defense makes them change plan. Healed outside. Back to Curry. [Music] Curry gets it to go inside. As a defender, it’s got to be a feudal feeling when Curry’s in the zone like this. Outside Edwards, handle outside off target with his three. Dante Devenenzo. He’s checked in for Minnesota. The Warriors also with a sub. Payton’s checked in. Back to Pajki. A three ball rebound [Applause] Minnesota up top. Devenenzo guarded by Kirk and contact on the shot. So he’ll be shooting free throws here. Deenzo smartly getting into the defense there. Drawing a foul inside while taking the shot. That’s a smart offensive play by Devontenzo. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. The throw drops for Devincenzo. Boy, the upside Devenzo has is obvious. Outside Edwards has to go Bear now. Defensenzo down to five on the shot clock. Three-pointer Randle and it’s Curry with the rebound. Curry’s got his fourth rebound with that last one here tonight on the wing. Payton good. And Curry gets the assist. Curry’s got three assists in the game. Curry really runs the offense well. Knows exactly the time to either shoot it or give it up to his teammates. Connley. And it’s Curry with the rebound. Curry’s got his fifth rebound in this one. Green draws the double. Now Payton, he has five. Rain finds Butler and looks like the illegal pick was set. Outside Connley has to go bear. Even passes to Go. [Music] The shots good from Denzo. Enzo’s got seven. De Venenzo with the nice touch on the inside shot. Boy, he really knows how to make it work at close range. Butler on the way. He is defended by Randall. Peyton outside. Pocket six to the middle. It’s stolen by Go. Alexander Walker with the ball. Still yet to score. Edwards no good. They have been board dominant in this game. That’s definitely been a factor in crafting this huge lead and it’s been a well-rounded performance. I mean, strong rebound and has certainly been at been at the at the center of it, but it’s been good on a number of levels. [Applause] Shooting two. Free throw good. Edwards. So much confidence coming from Anthony Edwards. You can just see it. This is a guy who knows he belongs in the league and is hungry to be great. Reed, he’s checked in for Goar. Golden State also making some changes. Kavon Looney comes in for Draymond Green. Moody subbed in for Brandon PMK. And Edwards drops them both. And even though they’re down, they are putting on a show at the free throw line. Yeah, they’re making the most of their opportunities at the stripe and they’ll need to keep it up to take the lead. Pass to Butler outside [Applause] Curry. Reed with the block. Great denial by Reed. Boundless energy he brings. Timberl 13. And here’s Edwards. Now here’s Randall. Here’s Alexander Walker. The Timberwolves again can’t hit. Pass to Payton. Even Jenzo against Curry. Butler from outside. Anthony Edwards with the rebound. Minnesota shooting well. They’re at 45%. Just an attacker is ramping. Always seems like he’s being sent to the line. These are his third and fourth free throw attempts of the game. [Applause] shooting two. [Applause] That free throw good from Randall. And the Warriors making a change here. Kaminga checked in. [Applause] and so he hits both Warriors leading by [Applause] 11. Astral Looney outside Butler. Yeah, easy call. Yeah, you can hear the smack all the way over here where we are. He’s had six attempts at the line. Made five of them. [Applause] And the first one drops. [Applause] and so Butler nails both of them. Timberwolves trail by [Applause] 13 now. Here is Devenzo. He has seven. That one goes in. Even Jenzo’s got six in the corner. And now he’s able to make them pay. Edwards against Butler. Outside Edwards, here’s Devenenzo. And they come right back with their own three-pointer. He’s got 12. Well, you know, that last three got Devenzo fired up now. Two shots. And the first one at the line is good. He makes one of two that [Applause] time. Payton outside. Good. And Butler gets the assist. Butler’s got assist number seven for him tonight. Jimmy Butler has been on display for the Golden State Warriors. A terrific quarter for him and now he has a And how about a look now at our assist of the game brought to you by State Farm and definitely deserving of the prize tonight. How about the read he made here looking like a point guard putting the pass right on the money. Terrific versatility coming from a big man. Not something that the majority of big guys possess. And there may not be a lot of drama down the stretch as we head into the fourth quarter, but stranger things have happened. Timber rolls trailed by 15 and Golden State looking at who they’ve got. Kaminga out there with Kavon Looney. Then there’s Gary Payton the second again. What an avalanche. And he’s on a tear offensively lighting up the scoreboard with a purpose. And how about this? He now holds the team’s single game record for postseason scoring. Now here’s Looneyed by Reed. Kaminga kicks to Kurt and it’s off from three-point range. But still eventually you got to feel like he’ll start knocking those down again. Pass to Devincenzo. I mean, he makes plays, especially around the hoop that other big men can’t. Out to the right wing. Here’s Moody. Minnesota with a rebound. Very dangerous to leave a guy like that open. Lucky break there for the D. Alexander Walker finds [Applause] Devenenzo outside Edwards. The three connects again from distance. The three is coming fast and furious. He is scorching the net. Now G tied for the third most three-point field goals in single game playoff history. 10 triples equals Dave Willard’s buzzerbeating performance in 2019 when he waved bye-bye to the Thunder. This is how competitive Curry is. He’s got a great competitive spirit. You drain a three on him, guess what? He’s looking to come right back at you. Reed with a stream for Edwards. Pass to Reed. Launches it and Moody pulls it down. It’s a plus five advantage for them in rebounding after that one. They get it again. Now here’s Kaminga. Traps in the train. Kaminga’s got his first three points of the game. Yeah, that’s two straight three-pointers they’ve allowed. Outside Edwards over Moody. Edwards can’t hit. That’s one he knows he should have drained. Outside Baitton. Another three for Golden State. It looks easy. Effortless. Curry natural from long range. Timberwolves trail by 17. Denzo passes to [Music] Edwards. Timberwolves passing it around. Pass to Reed looking to end the run. Sinks the triple and an eye for an eye. Both teams working to stretch the floor. Nothing like answering back. One team gets three. You fire three of your own. Boom. It’s Curry outside. Rebound Minnesota. Reeves got four rebounds in this game. and he lays it straight in. Tell you, I love the effort from the defense there, but inside Reed just had the strength to overpower him. Here’s Curry and he could not get that one to go. Out of contact and he’ll go to the line for two. Connley’s checked in and Golden State also making a change. Pompki, he’s checked in for Moody. And both free throws good for Curry. Timber’s trail by 14. And here’s Edwards from downtown. It’s rebounded by Curry. Count the bucket coming off a perfectly placed assist. Pressuring the ball and making a play that created the opportunity. You know, you push it after a steal, there’s almost no chance the defense can get back and recover. Hurry from deep free-point land. And again, it’s the Warriors missing. You know, he looks a little offkilter to me this quarter. Still trying to find his rhythm. And the wide open shot from Debenzo. And with that one, the lead is trimmed to single digits. Sweet shooting from Denzo. Really comfortable getting that shot up quickly. Pass to Penski. Curry. A screen on even back to third. Six on the shot [Applause] clock. Minnesota with a rebound. Reed’s got his six rebound on the night. Devenenzo finds [Applause] Reed outside. Connley. Now here’s Devenenzo. He’s defended by Penski. The shots good from Denzo. The adjustments they’ve made offensively, they’re putting guys in a position now to succeed. It’s certainly been an impressive run. They finally found the right formula to break down the defense. outside [Applause] Curry to Looting. 50 points for Anthony Edwards to Looney to Pajki. Evenenzo with the rebound. Even got his fourth rebound in this one. Whoops. Anticipated the pass. Turnover. Pajki finds Kaminga. misses from close range and the Timberwolves with possession. They’re on a 14-4 run. Edwards passes to Reed. Outside Connley outside Edwards and another one falls. Amazing. And he’s up to 52 points. Yeah. Making a GA look all too easy right now. Faster to Looney outside. [Applause] Kuminga now [Applause] Curry to the left side [Applause] wing. Now here’s Moody for by Connley. They get the rebound. Here is Pompeki from outside off the mark. One made three for him for the game. Does he focus closer in? Let’s see. Right side. Conley. Pass to Clark. Back to Conley. Six to shoot. Here’s Edwards. Here’s Reed. And it’s good. The time running down in the shot clock now. And so Chris Finch calls for the timeout and clearly an important juncture. He’s going to have some choice words with his team. Looking at who’s out there now for the Timberwolves. Go. He’s checked in for Reed. Randall comes in for Clark. And it’s McDaniels in for Dante Devincenzo. Then for the Warriors, Raymond Green. He’s checked in for Cavon Looney. Butler comes in for Kaminga. And it’s Buddy Heel in for Moody. Two free throws coming up and they call the shooting foul. shooting two and he knocks down the first one and he’s been to the line much more here than he was in that first half. Connley dishes to Go outside. Edwards. Pass to Connley. Go with a screen on Kirk. Connley with it now. Green defending and Buddy Heield is going to pick up the foul. That’s his first foul. [Applause] Outside Connley. Here’s McDaniels. And that one falls coming off Conley’s feet. Sad McDaniels. What a moment. Huge bucking miss. Here’s Curry. Pass to Pajinski. Curry a screen on [Music] it. With its there just fine to shoot. Randall has that flex DNA. Curry on the win for Connley. And it’s Stephen Curry with a three. Curry’s got 39. When you need a big bucket, Curry knows exactly how to come through. Clutch. Here’s Edwards. Count it and he’ll have a chance for a threepoint play. And it goes on Draymond Green. At every level, Edwards has been the go-to guy for his team. It’s in his DNA. [Applause] Find the lane. Find the lane. One shot, guys. That was critical. I mean, that’s what we’re used to seeing out of him, though, at moments like this. Outside curve, three-pointer. Go pulls it in. Boy, they dodged one there, guys. I mean, he got the wide open look that he wanted, just didn’t knock it down. Connley, the pass to McDaniels on this that time would have put him up. The Warriors leader. Pass to Green. It’s stolen by Randall. And here’s Edwards. That misses. Had a chance to tie it there. And it’s the Warriors on the break. Green misses to heal. I agree. I mean, he would have been better off using it on the floor and not on the shot. But the foul had to come either way. So, it is what it is. And guys, this is where their depth really comes into play. They they’ve got such talent at that position. They’d love to have him out there, but they won’t suffer much of a drop off. He drops the first one, and that makes it a three-point lead. [Applause] and he hits both free throws here. So now it’s a four-point ball game and that makes it a two- possession game. Now those could turn out to be vital free throws. And so Chris Finch calls for the timeout. This is a huge moment, folks, in this game and he wants to be prepared. The latest now from our sideline reporter, David Aldridge. David, it’s all yours. Take it away. Hey guys, I listened in on what Chris Finch was talking about with his players. You wouldn’t know they were down from what he was talking about. He was positive with the team. He was calm. Said he wanted to keep them focused. It’s pretty good approach, guys. Back to you. Thanks, David. 46 seconds left in the fourth quarter. McDaniels passes to Edwards. This one for three. The Warriors pull it in. Earlier in the game, they had a 19-point [Applause] lead. Shooting foul as the whistle blows. He’ll shoot two free throws. It’s on Anthony Edwards. Wow. Wow. He got whacked on that one. Shouldn’t he be much there? Blatant contact. Straightforward call. Simple. [Applause] And he misses the first one. And now we’ve got the intention to follow. [Applause] gets the first and that makes it a three-point lead. [Applause] And so he drops them both. It’s a four-point ball [Applause] game. Just one second between the shot clock and game clock. McDaniels count it. And what a sensational bucket to bring them within one. Oh, you just love seeing a player with absolutely no fear. Cool, calm, collected, and confident in the biggest moment of the game. Yes. And you know what? Smart power. You got to try and extend the game. Do it. It’s not over. The block is as much a problem for them as the score is right now. So, they got to try to manage it. [Applause] He hits the first one and that will put them up by two. [Applause] And a tough break as a second attempt at the line. No good. can’t afford any wasted possessions down the stretch. It’s not over yet. Randall with a screen for Devincenzo. Randall outside. Got it. And tie game. That is a huge basket right there. No defensive pressure at all. I mean, that’s not going to get it done against him. And so Steve Cerr calls for the timeout and he knows there’s no room for mistakes and wants everyone on the same [Applause] page. [Applause] Here’s Poachki. And that’s going to do it for regulation. So, we are headed to overtime and we’ll be back right after this. Glad to have you with us as we get going in overtime. Neither team giving an inch in this one. Here we go. Now Randall Edwards on the wing. He’s joined by McDaniels. Goar is out there with Randall and it’s Devenenzo in at the point. That’s a two from Randall. And again, it’s Minnesota. You’ve got to give them a lot of credit for just battling back into this game. Extremely impressive was the rally they made. I mean, we’ll see how much their comeback might have taken out of them and and we’ll see if they can keep that foot on the pedal now. He’s certainly been their go-to guy when it matters most. He’s trying to close this one out. Pass to McDaniels. Handle with a screen for McDaniel from beyond the arc and then some. McDaniels got the lead. Back up to two now for the Timberwolves. Here’s Pensky. Back to Curry. Lets the three fly. A rebound by the Timberwolves. McDaniels got his fifth rebound right now in the [Applause] game. Outside [Applause] [Applause] Edwards. Pajimski grabs the board. Pajk’s got his fourth rebound in this one. Wasted no time on that one. 12 points for Buddy Heel. No hesitation. Even from deep deep range, he is a solid shooter. Even Jenzo kicks to go outside. Edwards [Music] tried to come right back with the three of his own, but it’s no good. Pass to Pajki. Now is three. [Applause] The first one [Applause] falls heat. [Applause] Stephen Curry hits them both. Overtime in full swing here. Two minutes off the clock. Go Bear with a screen for Edwards. Randall kicks to Devenenzo. Goar with a screen on Curry. Even Shenzhel gets the bucket. And it’s Pajki in the corner. Golden State moving the ball [Applause] around. Randall against Butler. And there’s the foul. It goes on Jimmy Butler. That’s his third foul of the game. Yeah, way to get there first and be willing to absorb the contact. No question about it. No flop there. That was a direct shot to the chest. The Timberwolves have gone three for five for their shot since we got started here in overtime. Pass to Devincenzo. And here’s [Applause] Randall. Back to Devenenzo. Randle outside takes a three. That shot no good. Golden State’s gone two for three from beyond the arc to get over. Here’s Green. Here’s Curry with the three. It’s all in by Edwards. Edwards got four rebounds now tonight. Even Jenzo with [Applause] it. Now here’s McDaniels to the inside. Here’s no bigger Green with the block. And really one of the toughest defenders we’ve seen in this league in a long time. Green will contest every shot on every possession. It falls. Woohoo. Yes, Stephven. What a gamer. Somebody who lives for these kind of big moment. Watch out. Here’s Curry and it’s wide right. It’s off the rim and and he has definitely been struggling in this quarter. Yeah. If you’re going to foul, then make sure that you don’t give a chance for the and war. [Applause] [Applause] First free throw is good and that brings them within two here. [Applause] And both free throws good for Curry. And here is Steven Shenzo. Guys are not going to be in any rush on this possession. And another one falls. and he set a new all-time record for single game scoring in the playoffs. Got to go right up with it and then foul [Applause] immediately. Heat. Heat. [Applause] He drops the first one and that shrinks the margin to just four. Stephen Curry hits them both. Fruitful trip to the line there. He’s made this a onep possession game. Now they’re going to prolong the game here with an intentional foul. taking two shots. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. Three-pointer healed. And again, no good by Golden State. You know, Kevin moment Heat. Heat. in at the center position for the Timberwolves. Edwards on the wing. He’s joined by McDaniels. Handle out there with Goar and it’s Connley in at the one. Now here is Connley has to go bear. Back to Connley. Five on the clock. Over in the corner. [Applause] Edwards. That’s in there. Connley with the assist. Composed and cool effort from Edwards inside. Not rushing himself or forcing a bad shot. Taking what’s available. Curry picks him up. Back to [Music] Curry. Catch up a three. Randle grabs the board. I’m shocked that didn’t turn into three points. I mean, he makes you pay on those nearly every time. Offline with his three. And on an open look like that, he’s very gifted at making the weak coverage pay. Here’s Hear with the block. so good at finding these shots. Go loves reaching out and sending them away. Connley with it. Randall outside Edwards. It’s rebounded by Golden State with a short break in the action. Gives us a chance now to send it over to David Aldridge. Thanks. I caught up with Chris Finch now. I asked him about the challenge they face in defending Steph Curry. He loves the nine shots at the rim and playing bigger than his 68 frame would lead you to believe. Well, he is looking confident. Love how they’re using him so far. And you know what? They’re going to keep using him. I mean, he’ll be the centerpiece of their offense today. You can bank on that. Now, here is Connley. Edwards looking it over. Will it go? Cans it from downtown. Edwards got his second bucket tonight. Boy, great take by Edwards making the correct decision in the pick and roll there. Aki on the wing outside [Applause] Butler. Curry against Pajki in the [Applause] corner. puts it five from 18 and it falls over the rim and in and the lack of effort to fight over the screen there makes that an easy shot. Well, I’m going to credit the screen. I mean, that’s a good strong pick he lays there. And so Chris Finch calls for the timeout. This will give him a chance to discuss some potential alterations. [Applause] [Music] Randall finds Goar. Now here’s Connley. Randall surveying the D just fine on the [Applause] clock and the rebound goes to the [Applause] Warriors. First quarter play and just over three and a half minutes in and that one clearly a foul. You got to say that scouts kind of missed on that one and he makes both free throws. Making it look effortless. Send this guy to the stripe. He’s going to cash in more than not. Pass to Connley. Go Bear with it. Outside Edwards and here’s Connley outside. Rebound by Butler. Not quite enough defense that time around. Just lucky he was off and the shot goes in. This is as good as it gets for a first quarter in terms of shooting the basketball. You’re exactly right. I mean, everything seems to be dropping. Impressive scoring here. Now, here’s Connley. Timberwolves trail by eight. Pass to Connley. Healed against McDaniel. Goar with a screen on Heel. Strong work inside by the 6’9 Jaden McDaniel showing how effective he can be down that heel. This is [Music] Degree. Rebounded by the Timberwolves, but you will not see that from him very often, especially right at the rim. The shot by McDaniels. No good. Good defense there. Got away with a major lapse. Pass to Curry in the corner. It’s healed. Curry deciding where to go with him. Cleffort move by Curry taking the foul but still getting the shot. [Music] [Applause] Get over Rando passes to go. The Timberwolves working the ball around him. Powerful move that time by Randall. He’ll go to the free throw line. The Timberwolves shooting their first free throws of the night right here. [Applause] Pass to Butler. Butler is on top. Curry with a wide open look. Does not score with that shot. It’s his second miss against two made shots. McDaniels passes to come and that won’t go. Missing the go-ahead bucket. Butler has never lacked the willingness to be aggressive and to hunt contact. And you got to love that toughness aspect about Jimmy Butler’s game. And a look at how the offensive approach has been going here so far for the Timberwolves. straight away they they’ve opened things up offensively with skillful passing, running smart plays, and just setting guys up for success. In addition to that, they’ve thrown their weight around inside tonight, too. Thumping and bumping in the paint. A lot of their points have come from inside. And he knocks down the first one. Reed, he’s checked in for Julius Randall. Payton, he’s checked in for Golden State. [Applause] That one is no good. The Timberwolves trick high post. Go and go throws it down. The sevenfooter flush. Rudy Goar goes up and makes it hurt and down passes to heel. Golden State’s gotten just two of six to fall from three-point range so far in the [Applause] first three-pointer. Butler even with the rebound. Timberwolves on offense. They’re on a 15-6 run. And here’s Edwards from the ark. And the rebound goes to the [Applause] Warriors. Here’s Spencer. Pass to Butler. Here’s Spencer. find the shoot and that one’s on target from the wing. Guys back and forth this first half and this could continue to go back and forth the entire way outside Edwards. There’s the pick for three. That’s good. Basket number five on a five for eight night shooting. And they’re getting a lot of their points outside the paint. Three of their last five baskets are from three-point range. [Applause] Pass to Moody. Good. And Butler gets the assist. It’s a three-point [Music] game. 112 left to play in the first quarter. Pulls it in. Minnesota’s gotten a lot of shots off from three-point land in the first quarter, but they’re only four of nine. Outside Edwards. Edwards with another miss. And he didn’t punish them for the weak coverage there, but they can’t count on him to continue missing. And there it is for him. Now it’s a five-point Warrior lead. Yeah. And there it is again. On a lot of their possessions this first half, they’ve established great inside position. Down goes basket number six for him this game. He’s taken 12 shots and made half of them. And really the scoring this quarter has been just off the charts. is doing all he can to bring him back. Cars has checked in. Curry’s checked in for Golden State. [Applause] And so Butler nails both of them. Timber trail by five. Two seconds separating the shot clock and game [Applause] clock. Outside [Applause] Edwards. 12 seconds left in the first quarter. Pass to Devincenzo. lets it go with a three. Gary Payton the second is out there with Kaminga. Then it’s Curry. Then it’s Cavan Mooney. And it’s Moody in at the two guard spot. The shot drops. His shooting percentage improves. He’s three for seven now with that basket. Off a pass. Steph Curry. That one is always going in or almost always going in. Even Jenzo passes to Alexander Walker and Reed throws it down. Edwards defending rebound. Minnesota. Porter number two with just over a minute gone. Even Jenzo finds Edwards. Reed with it. Pass to Alexander Walker. Here’s Payton. And Payton throws it down. That’s a stomach punch, guys. Turn it over and give him a free run to the bucket. Oh, you’re so right. No question. Who has the momentum now? You know, those kinds of plays can be difference makers, game changers, momentum shifters, especially in a close contest where one or two possessions can impact the outcome. [Applause] Alooney Curry with puts up a deep three. You know, that’s how it goes with Phil. His hot streaks, guys, don’t last minutes, they last days. And foul on the shot. So, he’ll get a chance at the line. really at the right plate defensively. If you can’t block, force them to the line. Yeah, exactly. Prevent the layup, give them a little bump, and then maybe they’ll think twice about coming into the lane next time. And if they don’t think about it, at least they might be distracted by your presence. That free throw no good. And the Timberwolves making a change here. Ingles has checked in. [Applause] and he can’t get the second one to drop either. Coming up empty that time. Pass to Reed. Now Alexander Walker. Connley against Curt. And Curry’s really a master at drawing contact. The defense has to be careful when defending him. The Warriors have shot 70% from the free throw line tonight. Seven for [Applause] 10. Shoot two. [Applause] And the first one [Applause] drops. Stephen Curry hits them both. Just under three and a half minutes played here in the second quarter. Connley, the pass to Devenenzo. Connley sets a screen for Devenenzo. Pass to Edwards from outside the arc. Edwards cashing in from outside. Might want to track this guy. Mark him definitely just deadly from deep so far. Now Pajinski outside Green tries the spin move. Curry dishes to Kaminga. Pass to Green for Goar. Got it from 16 ft. Green’s got his second basket of the night. The closer the better for Draymond, but once he’s in his comfort zone, he’s good to go. Curry against Come. One thing about Draymond, he almost invites contact. Go Bear. Timberwolves passing it around. Knocked away. Reed the pass to Connor. Now here’s Goar. The Timberwolves need to get a shot off here. Reed misses. Payton kicks to Curry. Green with a screen on Con. Curry can’t get it to go. Timberwolves trail by eight. Look, we all know Rudy Gober is a force on defense, but you can’t afford to ever ignore this guy. I mean, he’s got the physical gifts to make problems anywhere on the floor. For Minnesota, they have converted one of two free throws so far today. And the first one at the line is good. Minnesota making some changes. Ando comes in for Reed. And it’s McDaniels in for Dante Devincenzo Butler. He’s checked in for the Warriors. He comes in for Payton. [Applause] and go bear drops them both. Warriors leading by six left side Curry. Back to Butler. Pass to Heel. Vajensky with it. fires from deep. It’s good from long range, but Jimky’s got the lead up to nine now for the Warriors. Back to Pajki. Healed outside and he can’t answer back. Well, you know, they’re in the lead, but he’s still been frustrated from an offensive standpoint. McDaniels dishes to Edwards. Over in the corner, Randall. That’s in there. Connley with the assist. Connley’s got three assists now in this one. And if he gets the space, Randall absolutely will take that shot. Not afraid of that corner three. [Applause] Curry outside. Curry buries the three shot. Yeah, you know, the second period’s been much more kind to him than the first. I mean, let’s see if he can keep it going and maintain this outside. [Applause] Back to Conley. McDaniels passes to Conley now. McDaniels. Six on the shot clock. Tried to answer back, but that three is off the mark. Majki with it. Out defended by Randall. Lee just kind of stepping aside and letting him get to the rim. There’s a reason G the lead is what it is right now. And he’ll have a chance at the line to make it a three-point play. Unbelievable. [Applause] [Applause] Nice work that time by Draymond to draw the foul while in the act of shooting there. This is his first chance at the line tonight. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Take break. Take break. Two shot. That’s good from Green. There’s always a spot for a guy like Draymond Green on your side. An incredible defender. He’s unselfish offensively and a highly skilled passer. [Applause] Old free throw is good from Green. Timberwolves trail by five. Connley scanning the floor. It’s Edwards on the wing. Covered by Heel. Shot clock at six. Federer on the way. McDaniels. Misses the three. Warriors leading by [Applause] five. Aki on the wing. [Music] Pass the butt from deep nails it from deep. Jimmy Butler. Perhaps not the forte of Butler’s game, but he does have the range to hurt you from the perimeter. Edwards kicks to Randall, stolen, and it’s the Warriors on the break. And then heel with the jump. Agile play to get his hand in there and get the steal. intelligent play to immediately start the break. Pass to McDaniels to the inside and Draymond Green picks up the foul. And the best game plan right now, it’s elementary. Just keep feeding him. Let him eat. Conley kicks to Devenzo. Connley up top. He’s defended by Pompeki. Connley dishes to Go. And that’s one of the many areas that they’ve had the advantage. As a result, they’ve got a big lead. Randle no good. Warriors leading by [Applause] 10. And here is Moody. He’s got five. And the wide open shot from Green. No good on the triple. Yeah, they had some boxed coverage that turned into no coverage. He’s got five. The assist totals, Kevin, just continue to grow. They’re way ahead in that category. Ball movement has been flawless. Clearly just an example of a different mindset between these teams. Connley finds Edwards front pass the ark and again for three. And he let it fly from long range to devastating effect. And he’s now tied the franchise record for triples in a playoff game. deflects the pass. Here’s Randall and Randall throws it down. You know, once he has the positioning he wants, he’s ready for the big finish. Julius Randall throwing it down. He bounce pass. Hajimsky on the wing outside. Butler puts up a three. Another three for Golden State. And the D looks shell shocked. And guys, now that they’re rolling from out there, the defense has to really get up into them, you got to almost be in their jerseys to try to deny those looks. Nick Daniels passes to [Music] Connley over to the left wing. Offensive rebound. Right side. He’s had a playoff game these fans won’t ever forget. That last three means he’s got the most threes in a single playoff game in franchise history. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He wants to check in with his team and regroup. And so Curry will bring it up for the Warriors. Earlier in the game, they had a 19-point lead on the wing. Heel. Stephen Curry hits them both. Here’s Connley. Pass to McDaniels. Now, here’s Edwards. And again, it’s Minnesota converting. Boy, he’s making it look really easy right now. I expect him to continue to run the offense through him until the defense makes him change [Applause] plan. Healed outside. Back to Curry. [Music] Curry gets it to go inside. As a defender, it’s got to be a feudal feeling when Curry’s in the zone like this. Outside Edwards handle outside off target with his three. Dante Devenenzo, he’s checked in for Minnesota. The Warriors also with a sub. Peyton’s checked in. Back to Pajki. A three ball rebound. [Applause] Minnesota up top. Devenenzo guarded by Kirk and contact on the shot. So he’ll be shooting free throws here. Deenzo smartly getting into the defense there. Drawing a foul inside while taking the shot. That’s a smart offensive play by Deepenzel. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. The throw drops for Devenenzo. Boy, the upside Denzo has is obvious. I mean, now it’s up to him to continue working on his game and keep getting better. [Applause] And so Devenenzo nails both of them. Warriors leading by 14. Green with a screen on C. It’s Curry outside. Rebounded by the Timberwolves. Coar got six rebounds here tonight. Outside Ed inwards has to go bear now down to five on the shot clock. Three-pointer Randle and it’s Curry with the rebound. Curry’s got his fourth rebound with that last one here tonight on the wing. Payton. Good. And Curry gets the assist. Curry’s got three assists in the game. Curry really runs the offense well. Knows exactly the time to either shoot it or give it up to his teammates. Connley and it’s Curry with the rebound. Curry’s got his fifth rebound in this one. Green draws the double. Now Payton, he has five. Rain finds Butler and looks like the illegal pit was set. Outside Connley has to go bear. Chenzo passes to Go. [Music] The shots good from Devenzo. Even Jenzo’s got seven. Deanzo with the nice touch on the inside shot. Boy, he really knows how to make it work at close range. Butler on the way. He’s defended by Randall. Reed, he’s checked in for Goar. Golden State also making some changes. Kavon Looney comes in for Draymond Green. Moody’s subbove in for Brandon Pajki. Just an attacker is ramp. Yeah, easy ball. Yeah, you can hear the smack all the way over here where we are. He’s had six attempts at the line. Made five of them. [Applause] And the first one drops. [Applause] And so Butler nails both of them. Timberwolves trail by [Applause] 13. Now here is Devenzo. And now he’s able to make them pay. Edwards against Butler outside Edwards. Here’s Devenenzo. And they come right back with their own three-pointer. He’s got 12. Well, you know that last three got Devenzo fired up. Now he had to respond. He goes to the arc to shoot back with one of his own trouble. Here’s Butler. good for his eighth field goal. He’s attempted a dozen shots. It’s obvious they’ve taken fewer threes here in the second half and are focused on having a more balanced offensive attack. As to Edwards, Shot clock at five and foul on the shot. He’ll shoot two at the free throw line. Oh, the officials are all over that one. Clearly a foul. I mean, didn’t give him any choice but to blow the whistle. I mean, you got to play without fouling. Take a break. Take a break. Timberl 15 and Golden State looking at who they’ve got. Kaminga out there with Cavan Looney. Then there’s Gary Payton the second again. What an avalanche. And he’s on a tear offensively lighting up the scoreboard with a purpose. And how about this? He now holds the team’s single game record for postseason scoring. Now here’s Looney. Guarded by Reed. Kaminga kicks to Kurt and it’s off from three-point range. But still eventually you got to feel like he’ll start knocking those down again. Pass to Devincenzo. And here’s Reed on the inside. Reed’s got a deep bag that he can go to. He’s a hard guy to [Applause] cover. Minnesota with a rebound. Very dangerous to leave a guy like that open. Lucky break there for the D. Alexander Walker finds Devenenzo. [Applause] Outside Edwards, the three connects again from distance. The threes coming fast and furious. He is scorching the Mets. Now G tied for the third most three-point field goals in single game playoff history. And 10 triples equals Dane Willard’s buzzer beating performance in 2019 when he waved by to the Thunder. This is how competitive Curry is. He’s got a great competitive spirit. You drain a three on him. Guess what? He’s looking to come right back at you. Reed with a stream for Edwards. Pass to Reed. Launches it and Moody pulls it down. It’s a plus five advantage for them in rebounding after that one. They get it again. Now here’s Kaminga. Traps in the train. Kamingas got his first three points of the game. Yeah, that’s two straight three-pointers they’ve allowed. Outside Edwards over Moody. Edwards can’t hit. That’s one he knows he should have drained. Outside Bon. Another three for Golden State. It looks easy. Effortless. Curry natural from long range. Timberwolves trail by 17. Venenzo passes to Edwards. Timberwolves passing it around. Pass to Reed looking to end the run. Sinks the triple and an eye for an eye. Both teams working to stretch the floor. Nothing like answering back. One team gets three, you fire three of your own. Boom. It’s Curry outside. Rebound. Minnesota. Reed’s got four rebounds in this game and he lays it straight in. Tell you, I love the effort from the defense there, but inside Reed just had the strength to overpower him. Here’s Curry and he could not get that one to go. Out of contact and he’ll go to the line for two. Yeah, the defender all over. He got him good there. I mean, that’s why the shot was so far off. [Applause] First free throw is good. And as a team, they’re hovering around the high8s from the free throw line. They’ve gotten better as the game has gone along, which is exactly what you want to see. Minnesota making a switch here. Connley’s checked in. And Golden State also making a change. Pajki, he’s checked in for Moody. And both free throws good for Curry. Timberwolves trail by 14. And here’s Edwards from downtown. It’s rebounded by Curry. Stolen by Reed. all by himself on up the court. Here’s Connley to count the bucket coming off a perfectly placed assist. And the wide open shot from Denzel. And with that one, the lead is trimmed to single digits. Sweet shooting from Devon Chenzo. Really comfortable getting that shot up quickly. Pass to Penski. Curry. A screen. Back to Curry. Six on the shot clock. Minnesota with the rebound. Reeds got his sixth rebound on the night. Devenenzo finds [Applause] Reed outside. Connley now. Here’s Devenenzo. He’s defended by Penski. The shots good from Devenzo. the adjustments they’ve made offensively, they’re putting guys in a position now to succeed. It’s certainly been an impressive run. They finally found the right formula to break down the defense. Outside Curry to Looney. 50 points for Anthony Edwards. pass to Louie back to Penski. Ienzo with the rebound. Ienzo’s got his fourth rebound in this one. Whoops. Anticipated the pass. Turnover. Pajki finds Kaminga. Misses from close range. And the Timberwolves with possession. They’re on a 14-4 run. Edwards passes to Reed outside. Connley outside Edwards and another one falls. Amazing. And he’s up to 52 points. Yeah, making a GA look all too easy right now. Looney outside Kinga. [Applause] Now [Applause] Curry to the left side [Applause] wing. Now here’s Moody for by Connley. They get the rebound. Here is Pompeki from outside off the mark. One made three performed for the game. Does he focus closer in? Let’s see. Right side. Conley. Pass to Clark. Back to Conley. Six to shoot. Here’s Edwards. Here’s Reed. And it’s good. Big time running down in the shot clock. Now just a three-point Warrior lead. And here’s Curry who brings it up for the Warriors. Earlier in the game, they had a 19-point lead. floats it up for Kaminga. Hammers the alley crew. Oh, phenomenal alley slam there. They are taking advantage of a team that looks lost out there. Boy, I tell you what, guys. This is really getting close to being real ugly. And so Chris Bench calls for the timeout. And clearly an important juncture. He’s going to have some choice words with his team. Looking at who’s out there now for the Timberwolves. Go. He’s checked in for Reed. Rando comes in for Clark and it’s McDaniels in for Dante Devincenzo. Then for the Warriors, Raymond Green. He’s checked in for Cavan Looney. Butler comes in for Kaminga. And it’s Buddy Heel in for Moody. Two free throws coming up and they call the shooting foul. shooting two and he knocks down the first one. Boy, he’s really been on a roll this quarter. Seems like everything he throws up is finding bottom. [Applause] [Applause] That’s good from Stephen Kirk. They are cashing in on their chances at the line this half. That’s helping him in a big way. Connley dishes to Goar outside. Edwards. Pass to Connley. Goar with a screen on Ker. Connley with it now. Green defending and Buddy Heield is going to pick up the foul. That’s his first foul. [Applause] Outside Connley. Here’s McDaniels. And that one falls coming off Conley’s feet. Sad McDaniels. What a moment. Huge bucket miss. Here’s Curry. Pass to Penski. Curry a screen on [Music] it. With it there just five to shoot. Three-pointer heel rebounded by the Timberwolves. And on an open look like that, he’s very gifted at making the weak coverage pay. And Goar gets to Connley. Pass to Randall. lays it up and banks it in. Now just a two-point Warrior lead. Calm when it counts. Randall has that clutch DNA. Curry on the wing for Connley. And it’s Stephen Curry with a three. Curry’s got 39. When you need a big bucket, Curry knows exactly how to come through. Clutch. Here’s Edwards. Count it and he’ll have a chance for a three-point play. He is stolen by Randall. And here’s Edwards that misses. Had a chance to tie it there. And it’s the Warriors on the break. Green misses to heal. I agree. I mean, he would have been better off using it on the floor and not on the shot. The foul had to come either way. Thanks, [Applause] David. 46 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Nick Daniels passes to Edwards. This one for three. The Warriors pull it in. Earlier in the game, they had a 19-point [Applause] lead. Shooting foul. As the whistle blows, he’ll shoot two free throws. It’s on Anthony Edwards. Wow. Wow. He got whacked on that one, shouldn’t he? Must have been there. Blatant contact. Straightforward call. Simple. [Applause] And he misses the first one. Boy, he wanted that one to fall. [Applause] and he ends up making the second and that puts them up by five. 8second difference between the shot clock and the game clock. McDaniels. Count it. And what a sensational bucket to bring them within one. Well, you just love seeing a player with absolutely no fear, cool, calm, collected, and confident in the biggest moment of the game. Yes. And you know what? Smart power. You got to try and extend the game. You can do it. It’s not over. Block is as much a problem for them as the score is right now. So, they’ve got to try to manage it. [Applause] He hits the first one and that will put them up by two. [Applause] And a tough break is his second attempt at the line. No good. can’t afford any wasted possessions down the stretch. It’s not over yet. Randall with a screen for Devenenzo. Randall outside. Got it. And tie game. That is a huge basket right there. No defensive pressure at all. I mean, that’s not going to get it done against him. And so Steve Cerr calls for the timeout and he knows there’s no room for mistakes. He wants everyone on the same [Applause] page. Extremely impressive with the rally they made. I mean, we’ll see how much their comeback might have taken out of them and and we’ll see if they can keep that foot on the pedal now. He’s certainly been their go-to guy when it matters most. He’s trying to close this one out. Pass to McDaniels. Angle with a screen for McDaniel from beyond the arc and then some. Pajki grabs the board. Pajk’s got his fourth rebound in this one. Wasted no time on that one. 12 points for Buddy Heel. No hesitation even from deep deep range. He is a solid shooter. Even Jenzo kicks to go outside. Edwards [Music] tried to come right back with the three of his own, but it’s no good. Pass to Pajki. Now here’s three [Applause] the first one falls. [Applause] Stephen Curry hits them both. Overtime in full swing here. Two minutes off the clock. Go Bear with a screen for Edwards. Randall kicks to Devenenzo. Go Bear with a screen on K. Even Shenzhel hits the bucket. The defense is far too slow to close out on those three-point attempts. And those triples, they sure do add up quickly, don’t they? I mean, they’ve got to make some kind of adjustment here. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. Yeah, way to get there first and be willing to absorb the contact. No question about it. No flop there. That was a direct shot to the chest. The Timberwolves have gone three for five for their shot since we got started here in overtime. Pass to Devenenzo. And here’s [Applause] Randall. Back to Devenzo. Randle outside takes a three. That shot no good. Golden State’s gone two for three from beyond the arc to get over. Here’s Green. Here’s Curry with the three. It’s hauled in by Edwards. Edwards got four rebounds now tonight. Even Shenzo with it. Now here’s McDaniel to the inside. Here’s no bear. Green with the block. And really one of the toughest defenders we’ve seen in this league in a long time. Green will contest every shot on every possession. Here’s Devenzo. It falls. Woohoo. Yes, Enenzo. What a gamer. Somebody who lives these kind of big moments. Watch out. Here’s Curry. And it’s wide right. It’s off the rim. And he has definitely been struggling in this quarter. You know, guys, it seems to me as though he’s over anxious. He seems to be pressing, trying too hard, moving too fast. Just needs to calm himself down and wait for good shots. [Applause] [Applause] break. [Applause] Peace. [Applause] [Applause] First free throw is good and that brings them within two here. [Applause] and both free throws good for Curry. And here is Steven Shenzo. guys are not going to be in any rush on this possession. And another one falls and he set a new alltime record for single game scoring in the playoffs. I mean, what a night to remember. And for those of us who are lucky enough to witness it, I’m sure we will never forget this. Second one is good both at the line and it’s a five-point game. Here’s Curry. No time to waste on this possession. Got to go right up with it and then foul immediately. [Music] 34. [Applause] He drops the first one and that shrinks the margin to just four. [Applause] Stephen Curry hits them both. Fruitful trip to the line there. He’s made this a onep possession game. Now they’re going to prolong the game here with an intentional foul. [Music] Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. First free throw is good. And that gives him a four-point cushion. And the second free throw. No good. A tough break there. And there’s the intentional foul. No choice but to stop the clock here. Yeah. No way that should have taken so long. They don’t have that much time to waste. They need to foul immediately. Taking two shots. shooting two. He hits the first one and that puts them up by five. So he goes two for two at the lock and it’s a six-point ball game. Unflapable. This guy relishes being the man to put the game away. Three-pointer heel and again no good by Golden State. And so, both free throws are good and it’s an eight-point game. You know, this overtime has been somewhat lackluster mainly because both teams are clearly fatigued and so the Timberwolves take the win. Uh pretty good feeling right now for them to be out in front like this in the series.
