Jamal Murray Joins Inside the NBA After Nuggets Game 1 Comeback vs. OKC
It’s Jamal Murray who’s going to join us right now uh from Oklahoma City after as dramatic a win as you can pop. Well, I guess the the one when when Aaron Gordon dunked at the horn was pretty dramatic, too. But this was this comeback. Uh it just seemed as we were talking about it, Jamal, is you guys would get within five and boom, it’d be double digits again and you kept on kept on kept on and finally uh you got that you got that thing to go and and win game one. That was something. Yes, sir. I don’t know if that was a question, but um we we’ve been uh I mean, we’ve been doing that for years, man. Just having that kind of resilience um and always fighting back. We knew there was still time on the clock. we knew things could happen and um and it did. Man, what a freaking shot by AG. That was that was amazing. Um he’s been so clutch this whole playoffs and and just everybody is bringing something to the table every single night. So, uh we know it might not be your night every night, but um with this kind of mentality, with this kind of energy and togetherness, you know, we we know we can get the job done no matter the circumstances. Jamal Shack here, you know, every time I’ve jumped on you, you’ve stepped up and played fabulous. How do you feel about a 616 six for 16 game? And what do you say to yourself to to you know play to be because you know and I know they’re gonna need you to play at a super high level if you want to uh win another championship. So what do you say to yourself after a six for 16 performance? Uh well we got the win. You know I’ve had plenty of those games before. I know I got better. I got some great looks tonight that just didn’t go down. Um but I’m just trying not to force it. You know they’re they’re shrinking the paint. They they’re really good handsy. They’re in the lanes. So it’s all about taking care of the ball. Um especially when they’re bringing two bodies on me and two bodies of yoke. Um we’re just trying to make sure that we don’t, you know, flip the ball over and give them easy runouts. So I hear you. You know, I’ll be better. Um you know, obviously it’s not my best game, but sometimes you got to do what you got to do and impact the game in different ways to win the game. And tonight wasn’t my night, but it was somebody else’s. You know, when you play with a great player, you kind of just take it for granted. And we just put up a stat where Joker had 40, 20, and five assists and only like five guys ever did that. Do you just sometimes you look at the stat sheet after the game, you’re like, yo, this dude had 40 to 20 and I and just say I am It’s pretty special to watch him play every night and take it for granted basically. No, 100%. No, I know I’m playing with the future Hall of Famer. Um, dude is incredible. He’s damn near unstoppable. That’s why I just try to give him the bow almost every time. Um, but I got to pick my spots, too, and be aggressive. You know, we got to leave some pressure uh leave some of the pressure off of him. And uh yeah, man. Yeah, he he does he does it so often, you know, people are kind of numb to it. I mean, I’m looking up in the game and all of a sudden I see 42. I’m like, damn, I forgot, you know, like keep giving him the ball, you know? So, um he’s just one of those guys, man. He just gets it going with no emotion and and he can just take over a game like he did tonight and just give us just enough life to uh to make a few plays at the end to win the game. So, uh, dude was just incredible. You know, you guys, Jamal, have had a game seven. You’ve had games where you got a buzzer beater by Aaron Gordon. You have another shot at the buzzer, but you have a new voice on the bench. Like, this guy is in some pressure situations at him. And for a guy who was coached less than 20 games in the NBA, what is he saying? How is he responding? What is different? You know, Mike Malone’s a great coach, not a good coach, a great coach. And here’s this guy coming in and just not missing a beat. Yeah, I mean, we got a lot of trust in DA. He knows this. He knows this offensively. Um he’s always calm, cool, collected, and uh yeah, man, we put a lot of trust in him. Um and he’s been doing a great job, not just, you know, in the playoffs, by leading up the playoffs, handling all the the situation, all the noise outside. I think he just does a great job of talking to us and keeping our minds right. Um you know, when he’s talking collectively to the group. So, um you know, he’s been doing a great job and uh we’re going to need more of that. Jamal, thanks for answering my colleagues questions and for answering my statement. We appreciate you. Congratulations on a great victory in game one and we’ll talk to you soon. Thanks a lot, man. I appreciate you guys. And I’ll pay that five for that cuss word you just said. Don’t worry about it.

they are gonna give the MVP to SGA with a straight face after the Joker best player in the world had his best season ever
Shaq is terrible. Why would you ask jamal Murray that question after a dramatic victory? Great player terrible analyst and I don't care what the rating say
Kenny Smith is the only one you can listen to
i honestly am starting to believe shaq has vendetta against the nuggets in some sense.
Shaq needs to chill
Chuck 0 for 2 today. Plus getting it wrong with Warriors vs Rockets, and Denver (already!) vs Clippers, and Cleveland yesterday.
Shaq always a critic
Chet Holmgren and Alperen Sengun biggest chockers in the Nba right now.
Shaq is not playin 😂
Ignore shaq jamal he tryna jinx you guys out of playoffs so joker doesnt surpass him
These guys in the studio are clowns. Instead of talking about the team win and resiliency..they take turns pointing out Murray's flawed performance and then in a roundabout way ask him if he idolizes his other teammate? They were 10 point underdogs and stuck together for a huge win and stole game 1 on the road!! And these are the questions they ask him? Stooges!
wtf Shaq lmao
I think Shaq wanted a better answer
Shaq’s always hating! What else is new
Shai gets mvp and joker gets another ring that's how this works Shai gona get a ring in a year or two OKC not rdy yet they got to go through hardship before they get the gold. Joker did Tatum did. They all do.
This should have ended the MVP debate.
Oklahoma Siti visi nam na kiti 🙂
DEATH, TAXES AND AG HITTING GAME WINNERS… NUGS IN 6
I am glad that Shaq roasted Murray. First quarter 12 poonts, the rest of the game 9 total, unacceptable for a guy who is on max contact.
So tired of seeing shaq putting down Murray
He’s contributed
Everyone should be doing well
shaq needs to STFU
So tired of him!!!
Love you Nuggets
Jokic, a legend in his spare time!
Shaq is an embarassment.
Shaq sucks
Not even a Jamal Murray fan, but this is just so disrespectful to Jamal Murray.
The nuggets are finding that Championship mentality they had two seasons ago.
Shaq's getting iinfluenced to be dismissive of the nuggets. Biased, and poor form. This is just like the comments he made after Joker won the last MVP
Does Shaq just hate the Nuggets and Jamal in particular? Watch Jamal drop 40 next game and Shaq take credit.
he had like 21 points tho, regardless of bad efficiency. I usually also get on Jamal's case but he was doing something, this was just uncalled for tbh
He had 21-6-6 and they won the game. Granted, it would’ve made more sense to have Gordon or Jokic on the show for this particular game but Murray played okay.
MORE THAN A MELLOW FLOW
STAY POSOTIVE ONLY
Murray’s a beast, one of the craftiest guards in the game he’ll cross you out your shoes and drop bombs on your head. He got that killer instinct in the playoffs. Btw he broke Caruso’s ankles tonight that shi had me laughing
Shaq is a meat eater
Low blow from Shaq. Jamal always has double coverage on him. Its why the other guys get open shots. Teams see him as much of a scoring threat as Jokic. Anyway they won. This was a ridiculous question especially because shaq understands this better than anyone. Kobe did that for him.
Am I the only one who noticed this dumb old G in the background wanting to be on camera while everyone else is ducking by or walking by? I was hoping Chuck would say something about this 🤡.
Murray is aware he is not in his form but all our players give 100% on defence stats doest matter at all if we are getting W's !
Tnt crew always been legit comedy show but sometimes there is just salt
Shaq is TERRIBLE analyst like wtf, why do he have to make it all about himself and keep on hating? His questions always awful
All three 60 win teams lost game one.
I wonder how Malone is reacting when watching the game? I would bet he is cheering for the team and it's killing him not being on the sideline
Goat shi 🐐
I see what Shaq saying. Denver is a whole different team when Jamal gets going. Nothing wrong with Shaq challenging him.
The Immaculate Putback was more dramatic tbh
That was an incredibly classy answer to Shaq's stupid question.
