Now, in my personal opinion, this would honestly be a pretty solid player for the Lakers to acquire. First and foremost, defensively speaking, uh Clint Capella is one of the better uh defenders at center position in the entire NBA. Offensively speaking, he’s not going to stretch the floor by any stretch or really be a presence, you know, offensively speaking from the perimeter. But I think where this guy excels is in the pick and roll game. So if you think of players that can play alongside Luca Donic, I think that Clint Capella could definitely fit the bill there. And he’s a pretty consistent player in regards to what you’re getting. So uh for a relatively low asking price in my personal opinion, right, a first round pick swap, which at that point might be a big one, but maybe not. uh Rui Hatchima and Shake Milton. That’s honestly not a terrible package to give up for someone of Glen Capella’s caliber. Now, as alluded to in this trade, this would have to of course be in a sign-in trade to make the money work. So, uh with Clint Capella, who’s a pending free agent, uh this could very well be a good landing spot for him if they can make a signin trade work. Now, is it going to happen? I guess only time will tell, but I think Clint Capella definitely addresses the starting center position. not the flashiest name out there, but if you’re looking for a player who doesn’t have to have the ball in his hands very often to be effective, uh he’s a good defensive presence as well, can honestly uh play in that pick and roll game pretty well with Luca Donic.
