Detroit Pistons Season Is OVER but WE ARE PROUD πŸ‘πŸΎ

[Music] [Applause] Let’s go like we [Music] forgot paying for gas. Yeah. Well, well, there you have it, Pistons fans. Pistons, they couldn’t come up with it at the end. Um, where do you start? A couple of things in this game. First and foremost, the effort wasn’t there. again from end to end in this game. Um turnovers another thing um you know especially in crucial moments. These are the games elimination games like this trying to force a game seven if you’re the Pistons and try trying to close out a game if you’re the Knicks. This is where superstars step up and this is where the separation begins between a player and Cade and Brunson. Um, and we give too many excuses. You know, we say Kade gets double team this and that and that. Listen, we throw a lot at Brunson, too. And Brunson finds ways. The difference is the bag is just a little difference between the two. K, when it comes to, you know, getting himself free is not the greatest at that. That’s why he takes you to the basket and he postes you a little bit more. Uh, Brunson is herky jerky with the basketball. his handle is way better and it allows him to get free. You saw it for the last play of the game. Um, but this is where super superstars, they separate themselves, man. And that’s what, you know, that’s what we seen today. Brunson stepped up and he took the game. He took the game. Should K have taken that shot at the end of the game? Yes, he should have taken that shot at the end of the game. You’re the leader of the team. the season is all on your back. You take that shot. We don’t need another LeBron James. You take that shot. So, you know, and I’m trust me, I’m not blaming this entire game on K Codyham, but at the same time, y’all know I’m a realist and I I’ll call out anybody. I don’t care if it’s the coach, whoever. Um, at the end of the game, you can’t have crucial possessions where you throwing the ball to the other team. that pass that you threw to Duran was first of all rushed and unnecessary. You never throw the basketball the opposite direction in that type of situation in the game. And that’s a learning experience for K. So, um you know, it’s just just this whole series is just experience for the Pistons. To be honest, the Pistons shouldn’t be pushing a Knicks team with two superstars to that level where you have Stu and Ivy out. So, a collective effort was the reason why the Pistons were here and was in every single game down to the end where it’s between turnovers or referee whistles to determine the outcomes of these games or just big shots. So, you know, like I said, you can’t be nothing but proud of the Pistons effort coming from where we’ve come from, you know, and I don’t want to hearken too much on the 14 win season. We knew, we knew why we only won 14 games that season and we knew the talent that we had here with this team. Uh, you just got to give JB Bickerstaff the credit that he deserves for pulling everything that he could out of this roster that we have cuz the roster is, like I said, in this playoff series was incomplete. You know, we we had two big big players sitting on that bench, man. And New York was healthy. They was 100% healthy. You know what I’m saying? So, um, you got to give credit where credit is due. JB Bigger Staff did a excellent job. Uh, some people was complaining about why he took Assar out the game. I mean, Russ only scored once and it should have been an offensive foul. Y’all know that, man. The man literally put his head into to Shruder’s jaw. You know, the refs just didn’t want to give them two straight challenges like that. So, but still Assar came in at the most I mean important part of the game and got crossed up. So, it’s it’s would a could of shoulda when you try to blame the game on certain stuff like that instead of blaming the game on reality which is you can’t turn the ball over in big moments and you have to go you got to be aggressive man. You got to be aggressive and I was calling some of those things out on Twitter as far as the effort and everything. As soon as I tweeted that, here come the Pistons in the fourth quarter because the third quarter was terrible. We played a terrible third quarter. And that’s the real reason you lost this game. The first half was already like a days ago, but the third quarter was horrible. You have to look at those factors, man. Things you do in the beginning of the game and things that you do in the beginning of the second half, they affect the outcome at the end. You have to take care of business. This is your house, your arena. You have to put your foot on their necks. You have to be aggressive. You have to attack them. Cat should have been out of the game way before the point that he got out uh fouled out. You should have been attacking him left and right. And again, Brunson still have not seen nobody going at Brunson. On the defensive end, yeah, we throw Sar, but on the offensive end, I’ll be attacking him all day. So, like I said, you know, mental mistakes for some of the guys out there. Um but but the Knicks, you know, they’re experienced and you see guys like that don’t get enough credit. You see guys like Hart always, you know, uh uh down there helping and blocking shots, rebounding, uh you know, bridges. Same thing. Big tip in for him. That effort right there is what the Pistons need. And I I see, you know, too much watching, including from our number one guy watching. watching the rebound hits the floor. It was one play where Beasley just didn’t want to just step over and defend. You know what I’m saying? And and they shot a three and knocked the three down. You can’t have that type of stuff, bro. If you going to play one way on the offense, you got to play the same on the defense. You got to play the same on the defense. These are the things that the Pistons are going to have to learn, you know. So, the more they play together next season, um they’ll have a healthier roster, probably a couple of changes here and there, but next season they’ll understand that a lot more. You know what I’m saying? You got to go out there and play like his elimination game. You can’t come out here jogging, bro. You know what I’m saying? Playing at your own pace. All that is cute during the regular season in the playoffs. You got to come out here and you got to be aggressive. You got to be a dog or otherwise the bigger dog is going to step up and send your ass home. With that said, I’ll see y’all later. [Music]

  1. To know where we were last year and seeing where we are now WITH INJURED STARTERS, I'm so proud of our guys. Hopefully we'll be back next year even better.

  2. Everyone knows you can’t win without star players we have Cade and that’s it, yeah we have some good role players but to get more than first round exit you need atleast 2 all stars

  3. With 352 in the fourth quarter to play, The coach decides to take Thompson out of the game. At that point, It coincides with Brunson having a streak where he is not scoring. Our lead extends to 7. The announcers commend the coach for giving Thompson rest. there’s one problem, you don’t need to give him a rest you need to keep their best defender on Bronson! Because in the modern lame NBA, there will always be reviews down the stretch, and he will get his extensive rest time during those reviews.

Shortly thereafter, Bronson starts to go off, he makes a three-point play against Schreuder, and your coach burns his challenge unsuccessfully. This continues until your +2 and he finally brings in Thompson, at that point, you have initiated stealing defeat from the jaws of victory.

  4. While I wish we were still playing, I still have to tip my hat to the players and coaching staff on this historic season. They far exceeded most of our expectations this season. I agree with everything King said about needed improvements and critiques. Our young core will learn from this and get better.

  5. Knicks cheated piston should have won it im tick off about this game 😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑

  6. Great and surprising season. Pray we continue to get better and not go backward the next few years

  7. It was a lot of fun to have something to cheer for through April again. The team took a big step up this year, if they want to make another step it's going to be on Cade's shoulders, hopefully he can handle it.

  8. As soon as the final buzzer sounded it hit me that it's over. no more pistons for about 5 months. memories of the season went through my head but pistons fans shouldn't be sad it's over, be happy it happened. This season was historic. We'll look back at this year when we're holding that Larry O trophy as the year that started it all. Super proud of this group and can't wait to run it back with a improved squad next year!

  9. Nobody said you didn't need to be proud. There's no need to make that statement. The only people saying that are pistons fans who are dissapointed.

  10. JB taking out Ausar was buffoonery. Sticking with thj was a mistake. JB flaws are real. He did a good job overall. But man. His errors are big

  11. King good analysis as always and I wish that you was on the Pistons staff as an advisor. Pistons should have really won this series but I ain't mad; Ivey/Stew was out and the Pistons really beat themselves. Refs helped out the Knicks too but you gotta make your plays and not let the Refs decide the outcome of the game. I don't like it that we lost 3 at home but it is what it is. The Pistons far exceeded my expectations and I consider this a great season as a fan. It will be interesting to see if Langdon does anything else with the roster.

  12. I completely agree. We did not start games with a sense of urgency, nor match the intensity of the LCA crowd. If they did, then we win by double digits. Proud of our team though.
