Jaylen Brown POSITIVE Health Update; Knee Almost 100% | Celtics Practice Interview

How’s it going, Jaylen? What do you feel like you got out of that first round? Obviously ramping back up to playoff minutes and um you know, just kind of feeling out, you know, your body and all the things you kind of went through there in the first round. How do you feel like that kind of went for you? I felt like it went well um for me personally and for our group. You know, for me, you know, just trying to trend back into the direction of being at 100%. Um and just, you know, physically, you know, holding my ground, etc. Still making plays um for our team, you know, even with um guys being out, Drew, JT missed the game, being able to, you know, step in and uh and fill roles and help our team get over the hump. I feel um decent, but you know, now moving forward, whole different ball game, different team, different challenges. So, my my focus is fixed on that. You said trending toward 100%. Do do you feel like you’re going in the right direction there? And in that game five, obviously first half wasn’t as great. Second half, come out and play much better there. I’m taking it one day at a time, but I I think so. I think I’m starting to turn the uh the curve. I think I, you know, structurally everything is fine. I’ve had some, you know, some other stuff going on, but I think I’m, you know, kind of um trending in the right direction. Jaylen, going back to last series, even whenever Joe was asked about, you know, adjusting or or adjusting to to other teams. He’s mentioned controlling what you guys can control. He mentioned defending without fouling, rebounding, and taking care of the ball. Obviously like in the flow of a game, understanding why those things are important is import is, you know, easy to to grasp. But from a general perspective throughout a long playoff run, why is it so important to only focus on those things when you go from series to series with so many other factors? Yeah, those are, you know, some of the, you know, I think the most important factors for us. Um, we’re very talented, very skilled. You know, we have a lot of shot makers. We’re going to score the ball defensively. We got a lot of great defenders. Stuff that will get us in trouble if we turn the ball over. we don’t rebound um and things like that. So, taking care of that, you know, gives us a higher percentage of winning games. So, we emphasize those things. And then you’ve been through a bunch of different playoff runs with different coaches for you personally and the group that you’ve been with for the longest time. Do you think that that focus on those things has, you know, adapted and improved over time? Absolutely. Yeah. Last two years, I think we taken care of the ball um very well. I think we rebounded the ball um really well this year with different groups. Um so I think you know in terms of the intangibles. Yeah, this is probably the best group in terms of that. And then on top of that, you know, our shot making, you know, our defensive versatility is is uh a tough matchup for team. So no, we’re we got a special group. Um you know, and these are the these are the the most important times of the year. So we just got to come out and perform. And that’s it. Jaylen, the the Knicks stylistically are very different than Orlando. How much of an adjustment is that for you guys to go to a completely different stylistic challenge? Is there going to be an adjustment period? Like, does it have to be once the game starts to kind of get used to that speed, that style, or how do you make that transition from what Orlando did to what New York did? Um, you prepare your mind. you know, we try to lean on our guys who’ve been through, you know, the playoffs to kind of talk everybody through like what’s to expect. Obviously, we haven’t faced New York since I’ve been here in the playoff series. Um, but, you know, playing on the road in New York in a garden, you know, in front of like big stage, those are, you know, mental things that you need to prepare for. Um, as well as like the physical challenge of, uh, guarding a different team, you know, and things like that. being disciplined, you know, not not getting caught up in like the emotions of the game, kind of just executing the game plan, not getting, you know, too excited and things like that because of like the energy that’s in the room and in the building. So, this series will present other challenges, you know, big stage, big moments, big shots, big big plays, etc. We got to stay poised and we got to execute our game plan no matter what’s going on. So, uh this should be a fun series as well. Jaylen, kind of following that up with all that you just said, h how much though is it it’s Boston, New York. You haven’t played in a long time. It’s it was an old rivalry, but just how much do you enjoy it too, though? And remind yourself that this is the biggest stage and it it can be fun the way you attack it. Yeah, it’s a great stage for basketball, you know, just all the history between, you know, Boston and New York. Um it’s excellent to be able to to to live or to relive in that. Um, so I don’t take that for granted. You know, uh, I think a lot of people will be excited watching this series just because of the history. Um, so, you know, it’s our job to come out and put on a great performance and take care of business. Um, but, you know, um, it’s definitely something to look back and just enjoy, you know, the platform and, you know, uh, that that basketball kind of delivers at this stage in the playoffs. Boston versus New York. It don’t get too much better than that. Jaylen, um, the Knicks got Anobi and they got Bridges basically to guard you and and Jason. I mean, that’s kind of it. They’ve been looking forward to this series for probably years. And you guys, does that motivate you when teams are making moves to to to, you know, align with you and to guard you and Jason and to to kind of that matchup? Yeah, I mean, those are two excellent excellent defenders, two, you know, hardworking guys. So, you know, um we got to be ready. Um but it’ll be fun. You guys had a lot of You guys had a lot of success playing off of Josh Hart, just allowing the big to roam. What does that do for empowering you and the rest of the defense? Uh you know, every game is going to be different. Yeah, that’s like, you know, kind of the approach that we’ve had in the past, but you know, you got to be prepared for for anything, you know, so I think our defensive versatility has been one of our strong suits. So, you know, maybe we start the game that way, maybe we we switch it up, but we’ll we’ll be ready for, you know, multiple things because, uh, in the playoffs, we’ve seen guys get hot. We’ve seen guys play above their means in the series and or shoot the ball incredibly well, and you don’t want to be in a position where you’re like now responding to that. So, you just got to like prepare for every scenario that you can and then just come out and play Celtic basketball, play hard, have effort, you know what I mean? Do, you know, play within our identity and let the game kind of take care of itself. But, you know, the way we prepare, the way Joe prepares, we’re prepared for we’re prepared for it all kind of. Uh, Jen, you me we mentioned this last time, but this is being your ninth playoff run. When you look back at your first ones, how different do you feel from a mental standpoint as far as nerves, excitement, preparation? Like how much have you think you have changed beyond just like the skills developing? A lot. Changed a lot. I see things so much differently. Just even the the preparation for the playoffs or even like preparation for a series or even throughout a game. There’s certain things that you know you show, certain things that you don’t show because you know it’s like ultimately everybody’s watching. So, you know, um you let people think one thing and then you come out and you hit them over the head. It’s like just certain stuff like that I’ve learned over, you know, that throughout a regular season, throughout the playoffs is totally different. And, you know, you just need to show what needs to be shown.

  1. good for him. those injections mist work then. is it that or was the injury not as bad as it was when the regular season ended and he had enough time to rest?

  2. Just need him to be decisive quick on the offensive end and more locked in on the defensive end stop with waisted fouls and lazy turnovers

  3. We saw this with his explosiveness starting to return the last game. If this is the case, the Knicks are so cooked.

  4. Which player on the Knicks team that’s going to be able to challenge . JB, JT, Porzingis smh. there’s nothing like playing a playoff game @ MSG though. Spike Lee, and other celebrities court site. MJ used to love playing @ MSG and destroying the Knicks.

  5. I just watched Celtic city (highly recommend) and I trust these fellas like our fathers and our grandfathers did their Celtics. They’re part of the pantheon of the Boston Celtics. Go get em

  6. This narrative that the radio show bums that the new owners gonna want to split the J’s up cause of payroll. If the new owner does that they will lose the whole fanbase. I think Al might retire, might have to trade jrue and let PP start with white now. KP stays. Need his shooting and Reb defense. Maybe big Al plays 1 more I mean Lebron is doing it. Jrue is up there too. But new owners better be careful

  7. Its encouraging to hear him say he's learned a LOT over the years in going to the playoffs because we've seen it in real time.

JB and JT obviously have gotten bigger and stronger. Their games have improved. And most of all we have seen it in the progress in big games and the postseason.

The Celtics as a franchise hit on BACK to BACK first round picks. These guys retire in Boston and play as long as they want if i'm Brad.

  8. Great content, as always! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (wonder obey dial dash soon tank spike scout region undo zero such). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
