Miami Heat Rumors On Giannis Antetokounmpo Are HEATING UP!
[Music] Giannis Antidmpo trade rumors are going to headline this entire NBA off season and rumors between Giannis and Miami might be heating up here because there was a report that the Heat are likely going to be in the mix for Giannis and Anthony Koopo might have the Heat and Miami on his preferred destinations list if he were to actually request a trade from Milwaukee. The Bucks aren’t going to trade him on their free will. But if Giannis presses the issue and requests a trade, the Heat might be on that list. We’ll talk about that and more. But we are in a daily like battle with Warriors today. The team that traded for Jimmy Butler. Tyler Smith challenged us to a like battle on today’s show. Let’s take them down. Hit that thumbs up icon. Let’s show the Warriors fans that we are the superior fan base. All right, let’s move into what Giannis kind of I wouldn’t say sparked, but the latest around onto Nakumbo because it looks like the Heat might be on Giannis’ list. And now, this wouldn’t be the first time the Heat were on a list for a player potentially. Obviously, Damen Lillard, they were on KD’s list. Donovan Mitchell was rumored to prefer Miami, and those never actually came to fruition. But could it happen with Giannis? Well, Howard Beck, who is a long-term reporter, writer for The Ringer and other publications, he was actually the person who sparked the initial Giannis trade rumors back in October and November. Well, he had an interesting quote here about potential teams Anthony Koopa might want to go to. He said he poked around a little bit for a few days ago. And the initial thing I got from one person was like some of the rumblings that’s already just been the big cities, one of the LA teams or one of the New York teams, maybe Miami. Not a big market, but a glamour market, midsize market. I think they threw Chicago in there. I can’t remember if Houston came up. It should. So, first is like where does Giannis want to go? And do they the Bucks honor that? Because again, back to Damen Lillard, you’re not obligated to honor it. Here we go again, folks. Like, I don’t know if the Heat are just constantly used as trade bait to try to up the value and get better offers from these opposing front offices and GMs, but Miami truly is listed in every rumor for a big-time star. Maybe it’s because of Pat Riley. Maybe it’s because of the city of Miami. Regardless, the Heat are going to be in the mix with Jiannis Antinmpa rumors. And we know that Pat Riley does always want to try to go out and get a whale. And Giannis is maybe the whale of all whales. Like he would be probably the biggest addition that you could ever make outside of what he did with LeBron in the early 2010s. Like that is how good Giannis is. If he traded for KD a couple years ago, Giannis would still be I think ranked higher in terms of acquiring than Durant because, well, Giannis is a top three player in the NBA. But when you look at the teams that were mentioned with Giannis in that kind of blurb from Howard back, he mentioned one of the LA teams, Clippers or the Lakers and one of the New York teams, Brooklyn or the Knicks. And I will be honest here now. He mentioned Chicago. Houston could out bid us. Not Chicago. But if it’s between LA and New York teams, like I don’t know if they have a good enough package. Like are the Lakers offering Luca Donuch for Giannis? Probably not. So if you don’t offer Luca, the Lakers don’t have a package that could even get them even into the Giannis Anthony Kunko realm. And when it comes to the Knicks, are they offering Carly Towns, Muel Bridges, because they just sent five first round picks to get Muel Bridges. Now, they still have two or three players or two or three draft picks they could send, but you got to also send a good enough player in return. Are they giving up both of those or one of those guys? I think they’d be willing to trade Cat potentially for Giannis, but is that something Milwaukee even wants based off Anthony Towns’s contract? It is a very fascinating discussion because if it’s the list of teams that Giannis prefers and he’s sticking to these three of the Knicks Lakers Heat, then I think there is a world where Miami could actually come out and give them the package Milwaukee that they might want. But let me know before we continue to talk about what a package may look like. What are the chances that he’d actually get Giannis? Scale it 1 to 10 for me down in the comments section. It’s today’s pin comment. So, you get hit with a YouTube ad break. Scroll down, let it play, and answer the question. Although that I’m displaying a little bit of optimism here when it comes to the Heat potentially acquiring Giannismpo, I am still going very low. I’m going 1.7. So if you did that on a scale of 1 to 100, I’m giving it a 17% chance. I don’t think it’s very likely because the Heat I don’t think have a good enough package. him. Yeah, we mentioned the players like Giannis and to the Kmpo that he might want to go to the teams, but there are so many other teams that could just outbid and say screw it, we’re going to trade for Giannis anyway, like the Bucks did to Miami when it came to Damen Lillard. Now, I will add this interesting caveat in here. Giannis Antonoopo shares the same agent as Bameabio Alexis. Hopefully, I said that right. Apologize to Alex if I did not. But I tweeted that out with the Brian Winhorse meme. Like Giannis, if he wants to be dealt, might have a good relationship with Ban. I know he respects that a bio from their one-on-one battles in the postseason in the regular season because the two always matched up against each other. Could the Heat try to get Giannis to pair up with Bam? Like is this something that could come to fruition? could Adabio try to recruit Giannis to Miami and get in his ears saying like, “Hey man, you come here, me and you could be a dynamic duo defensively, offensively, got Eric Spolstra, we’ll really compete in the Eastern Conference.” And you get to be in this glamour big market that Miami is. It becomes incredibly difficult to acquire Antin Kmpo if you are not trading Bam at a bio. I have been very much on record for willing to trade BAM to get Giannis because Giannis is that unicorn type of guy on the trade market. But if there is a world where you can get Giannis to Miami while keeping at a bio, I think that is a world that I would like to live in and I’ll try to explore how that world can actually happen. I hate to be the negative Nick I can be sometimes on the channel, but if I’m gonna be honest and trying to acquire Antin Koopo in a trade with Milwaukee, I just don’t think the Bucks would ultimately take a Tyler Heroled package from the Heat. Now, Hero coming off the best season of his career, averaging 24 points per game, firsttime all-star, his trade value is never higher than it is right now. You could argue that the last time his value was this high was after his rookie season where he was a major contributor and ultimately had the best playoff run of his career. He’s played 50 playoff games and his best stretch was as a rookie in the bubble. He may should might have traded him then to recoup the uh value of Hero, but his value as an all-time high and maybe he can try to capitalize on that with a trade with the Bucks. So if you are headlining the package with Tyler Herro, I think this is what it would have to look like. And I can be convinced that the Heat would have to include Kel Wear into this deal. But ideally, you try to keep Wear if you’re trading Tyler Hero and you’re trading Hero and your two young forwards and Nicole Yoic and Hawz plus all three first round picks that are tradable. the 2030 pick, the 2032 pick, and then the 20th overall pick in this year’s draft from the Golden State Warriors. I think those are the three picks you’d offer. You get three first round picks. Tyler Hero, who’s absolutely a valued at a first or maybe two first round picks. I think Nicole Yoic’s value in the league is a potential first round pick. So you are slightly sending here five first round picks at least in value plus players that can contribute to their team right away. And if you’re able to pull off this trade, which I still think it’s ultimately unlikely that you do that, you now have a threeperson front court that could be the best front court in all of the NBA. Like yes, you are banking on Kel Wear taking a step up in his jump shot. you are trusting Bameio to be able to become a better three-point shooter as well, but this would be the most versatile and best defensive front court in the NBA. The ability to switch three through five with these three were just could be unbelievable. It really could. And it makes me like kind of salivate over the potential and possibility of that. And yes, there would be questions about who is playing in the back court. I kind of have an idea here in a second, but make sure you do subscribe to the channel for daily Miami Heat coverage. Hit that sub button, turn on notifications, join us here at the Heat Report today. Well, there is one player that was kind of left to an omission, if you will, in that front court. It’s Andrew Wiggins, right? I think in that hypothetical where you made that trade for Giannis, trading hero, Yovic, Hakez, three firstrounders, I think you would try to flip Andrew Wiggins for a guard. And you could get a relatively decent guard for Wiggins. He’s got a good salary to move. He is a highly soughtafter player. Not someone that’s going to fetch a lot, but he is a winning player that I think is respected around the league. So, I think you could flip Wiggins for a starting caliber two guard or maybe a one guard. You try to resign Da’Von Mitchell and well, there’s your starting five. And I think you could find a way to really upgrade your roster. Maybe you keep Duncan Robinson, play him at the two, and resign DaVon Mitchell and flip Wiggins for a one. That’s certainly an option the Miami Heat could make. Now, I didn’t want to go into the crazy hypothetical here of what the Heat could do for with Wiggins because I want to bring it back to this point. Yeah, we talked about Giannis’ potential preferred destinations of LA, New York, Miami, Chicago, Houston, maybe, right? Well, we have not talked about the four teams that were not mentioned there, but could just simply outbid the Heat and pretty much anyone else if they wanted to. Brooklyn’s one of them. I guess they were slightly mentioned by Beck, but they have unlimited draft capital they can offer Giannis. I don’t know why Anthony Coopa would want to go there because they’re not close to competing, but they could just trade eight first rounders and say, “Well, we want Giannis.” The Houston Rockets have an unbelievably good package. They can package Amen Thompson if they wanted to. Alprren Shenon, like they not going to do all of them, but they could do a handful of players. Jaylen Green, Reed Shepard. They also have four or five first round picks they can trade. So, they’re a big contender, but I think they’re going to ultimately go after KD this off seasonason. We’ll see. The Thunder could just say, “Screw it. I’m going all in for Giannis. Let’s pair up SGA and Giannis. Two top three players in the NBA. They can trade Chat. They can trade Jaylen Williams. They can trade upwards to like eight first round picks. Like, if the Thunder really wanted to, they can get the uh Giannis Services. You just got to trade one of Chad and Jaylen Williams in a boatload of picks easy. The Spurs are also an interesting team because they have three to five tradable first round picks. They can trade Devin Bell. They can trade Stfan Castle, create a big three of Wemby, Giannis, Dear, and Fox. Like, that would be pretty scary as well. The point is, yeah, these teams weren’t directly mentioned as Giannis destinations, but if the Bucks just wanted to take the best package in return, well, these are the four teams that could outbid Miami in a very easy and quick way. What are the chances the Heat actually get Giannis? Scale of 1-10
1% chance. Why would Giannis wanna come here? This front office is cooked. Can't get any decent player to come here when Butler was around.
Heard it all before lol
I know its the job but I hate these rumors so much… it's super unlikely. No GM in their right mind would take the Heat's offer over the many others. This is Giannis we talking about.
So sad… Anything for clicks
It's not and your headphones big as fuck
If history has anything to do with it I give it a 1!!!
You’d have to lose Bam, and probably any player that could help us win, causing Giannis leaving, in a few years!
Ah, yes. Another dumb rumor and trade.
Entire Heat roster including Bum Adebayo is worth a bag full of shit stains toilet paper.
If it's not true yet, then why entertain rumors
Bucks don't want to trade MVP player to the Miami Heat for a bag full of used toilet paper. Miami Heat roster is shitty. No one wants them garbage. Pat Riley accumulated garbage over the years. Jimmy just carried the Heat last 4 years.
This channel loves clickbait. No sources. Just opinions and "what ifs".
it'll be a very very slim chance.
This is how people get hurt because you all keep playing with my emotions
Im sick of hearing “Miami Heat” and a”Preferred Designation” in the same sentence. It a load of bs
Empty the clip on this one idc who we trade we need gianis
Keep Wiggins. Best defensive team in history
I would love Giannis to come here but he’s not KD is more realistic
scale of 1-10 is zero or negative 1. Based on what we all know, Pat Riley is washed and the Arisons are super cheap! I would bet my house, the Heat run it back (like the past 5 years) and sign washed nba players for a vet minimum and get g league players
