Anthony Edwards, Randle & Reid Talk Game 1 Loss to Warriors, FULL Postgame Interview

here. Ant-Man, Randall, and Nas Reed at the podium. Ant, uh, one point in the first half. Just what what was happening out there that just prevented you from getting going? Um, nothing. I got everywhere I wanted to get. Um, just couldn’t finish. Yeah, I think that was the only thing. Um, I got everything I was looking for in the first half. Yeah, just couldn’t finish. Coach was saying that he relies on you to set the tone from the start and he didn’t quite see that. Do you feel like you were off at all just in that department or just kind of the way that you started the game? Um, nah. Feel like I played great defense. I just couldn’t do nothing offense. So, yeah. And how do you view the series where you at right now? You lose the first game, but there Steph Curry, you know, we we’ll see how that goes moving forward. What you mean view the rest of the series or the spot you’re in right now? You lose the first game, but you’re going into game two with Steph Curry dealing with a hamstring issue. Um, I don’t really know. I’m just ready to play. Yeah. I don’t I don’t really look at who injured, who who out there, who not out there. I’m just ready to go out there and do it again. Try to play a little better. And Julius, if I could, was there something about tonight’s approach that you would like to, you know, address off the start when you look to game two? uh approach um execution could work as well. Yeah, I mean I just think we didn’t play well. I mean to be honest, like we still were up two at the end of the first quarter and uh just had a bad stretch in the second quarter. Um and you know, I just think overall we just offensively we just didn’t play well. You know, we still held them to under 100 points. They shot 39% from the floor. Uh, and we still had some defensive miscues that we can clean up obviously, but I mean we just didn’t play well. Like I I mean they made 18 threes, we made five. Like we talk about, you know, this is a team that we feel like we can we can win the glass. We didn’t do that tonight. They had 51 rebounds. We had 40 41. You know what I mean? So it’s like it’s things that are in our control that we can do uh to play better and you know that’s we just have to do it. Sort of along those lines. Oz, what’s kind of the the balance between like having a lot of urgency after tonight, but not overreacting to to one game as you guys approach game two? Um, just kind of remember who we are, uh, as a team. I mean, you kind of have these type of games and moments. We have these games and moments throughout the whole season. It’s not like it’s, you know, it’s foreign to any team. Um, just, you know, kind of just got to stay even kill. It’s a series for a reason. Um, like they said, man, we kind of we tricked this one off ourselves. And as as a team, the last two games have been really tough for you guys from three-point range overall as a team. Do you do you sense that that’s as much mental over these last two games as it is just missing shots or or how do you how do you view just the struggles from three-point range you guys have had the last two games? Uh just keep shooting. I mean, yeah, that’s the name of the game. You can’t worry about the la the ne the last shot, you know, shoot take the next one. Shoot it with confidence. Um, and I think we’ve been doing that. Like, uh, J said, I think we just just didn’t play well today. And, you know, people going to try to blame whatever, blame whoever. They can blame me. I just didn’t play good enough. And Mike had mentioned in the locker room that he thought maybe the team was a little too juiced up at the at the start of the game. Did you get that same impression? And how did that maybe affect the start? Uh, I don’t know, man. You know, when you lose a game, it’s always somebody got this, somebody got that. this the reason you lost and this the reason I don’t I don’t really look at all that. I just look at every every last one of us got to play better individually, including myself. Um, and we’ll see how it go. We can’t blame, you know, it’s a team game, man. We just got to play better individually and see what it do for us. And Julius, you mentioned that you just felt like you didn’t play well. Is that does that make it a little easier today knowing that it was kind of just self-inflicted tonight and not something that the other team was doing to you guys in order to bounce back? I mean, it’s never easy like, you know, losing, you never want to, you know, lose a game. Um, or, you know, obviously it’ll happen, but it’s frustrating, but, uh, I’m encouraged. Like I said, I think, you know, there’s a lot of things, um, as a team that we can do better. Obviously, uh, I mean, coach said it himself, they’re championship team. They got championship DNA, you know what I mean? So, they’re not going to just, you know, give up and quit, you know? I don’t care if they had a game seven couple days ago, Steph gets hurt. Like, they are who they are for a reason. So, uh, you know, we can’t hurt ourselves and we we feel like we did that tonight. And, uh, you know, we’re talking about they made 18 threes, you guys made five, but they took 42 and you guys took 29. Did you feel like over the course of the game you guys went away from going to the three maybe as much as you normally do? Uh, you probably got a little gunshot a little bit. You know, when you start missing a little bit, you know, you get a little tight. But, uh, yeah, I just be telling my teammates, “Hey, shoot it.” You know what I’m saying? Because they pack the paint. That’s what they do. Anytime you get downhill, Draymond leaves his man and it’s two, three people in the paint. So, I mean, we kick it out. We just got to shoot it. We got to shoot it with confidence. And I always feel like we just got to think we’re going to make the next one. Like if we worried about the previous shot, we never going to make the next

  1. Cake walk no curry let's go ,ant in 6 .Jimmy can't carry warrior is not the old heat 😂😂😂😂😂😂, beautiful heats dream girl Miami princess ❤

  2. All they had to do was attack the basket after they went 0-10 for 3 and were only down 2 they should have stop trying to shoot 3’s plain and simple they would have won

  3. Casual MN Timberwolves fan. Watching because of all the hype surrounding Anthony Edward’s should be the face of the NBA? I watched most of the game. I’m still a real fan of the 80’s NBA. Someone needs to tell the Wolves, that the object of the game is put the ball through the hoop.

  4. On another topic heat been losing but you play Mr team you can be out for the year dont f with Miami. We want kd ,ja Morant,or Zion .Ginnis would be great look for big changes in Miami.Hate butler and he playing with buddy and buddy the reason he got fired by pat Riley 😂😂😂😂😂wolvez hate butler green to Cancun go ant❤❤❤❤❤❤

  5. I like how much Antman has to say when they win and how little he has to say when they don’t. This comes with maturity. He’s an amazing player!!

  6. This is Tom and this team is not the Timberwolves team I knew , cant shoot cant defend cant win a championship playing like this, this Timberwolves fan is scratching his head saying what the beep beep beep was with the Timberwolves Team

  7. Where yall wolves fans at yall was talking shii first game against the lakers and now yall tail tucked in nahh keep that same energy yall finna get it rather is the warriors or pacers 😂😂

  8. Like I was telling my friends. Ant will play like sh$t like he always has after a break. Rest for ant is bad news.
For the rest of the team…. total inconsistency. This team has no true shooters. Changes have to be made this off season.

  9. ANT 🐜 MAN isn't taking the game seriously.. What's the problem mehn.. This is playoffs, and this is not the Lakers bro

  10. They better take this series more serious before they end up going home and not receiving this year's championship ring

  11. Like there interview, it was what we all saw on the court, both teams were sloppy, wolves looked out of sync, warriors were struggling without Steph’s movement and creating their own baskets, kuminga needs more playing time for this actual reason, sitting the bench delays how fast you get comfortable on the court, spencer did great off the bench. Great how these young guys made no excuses and didn’t throw anybody under the bus. Go dubs curry rest up!!

  12. As a Warriors fan, people put to much read into this Wolves loss. All teams have these bad games. Wolves will come back in game two for a more competitive game. Hopefully Warriors can magically pull out another defensive winner but it won’t be as easy as this one.

  13. Playoffs all about matchups, it’s crazy how they couldn’t miss against the Lakers but Warriors had them tired & off rhythm. Rockets would have been more favorable match up for Wolves, & Lakers would have been better competition for Warriors. Hope Steph is ok & heals fast tho

  14. people are upset with the smile but he's standing in truth. they lost, next time they'll try to win. Ask better questions if you want better answers.

  15. The wolves played their second worst game of the season last night. Their worst game was against the Lakers in the first round. All these delusional warriors fans acting like this was an average game for the wolves is hilarious 😂

  16. Timberwolves got alot of work to do or they are going to get bounced out of playoffs. Steve Kerr, Steph curry and Draymond green all got 4 NBA Titles so nothing will be given to them for sure!
