But this trade would see the Atlanta Hawks receiving Zion Williamson, and the New Orleans Pelicans receiving Zachary Rishes, Terrence Man a 2029 first round draft pick and a 2030 first round pick. Now, in my personal opinion, uh this would be truthfully speaking a pretty good trade for both teams to make. I think if you are the Atlanta Hawks, uh this would be a good opportunity for them acquiring some more superstar talent to add to this group. Like this Atlanta Hawks team has a pretty decent core. They have Trey Young, they have Anko Okongu, they of course would have had Zachary Risha if he wasn’t involved in this trade, the former firstall draft pick. So that’s sort of a big loss for them there potentially, as well as Tyson Daniels, who’s a tremendous defensive player. So if you’re able to add Zion, it’s a little risky. It’s actually quite a bit risky. Uh but the payoff could be huge. First and foremost, you can make your superstar player happy. That of course being Trey Young. If you’re able to split Zion’s load offensively with someone like Trey Young, um this would be a good thing for, you know, the duration of his career, I fully do believe that, right? Having less ball touches, being able to preserve your health a little bit more, picking your spots a little bit better, that could be a great thing for Zion and the rest of his NBA career. But also too, this Hawks team has to make a change. Um I think Rish Rish showed some uh promise last year. I fully do believe that. But at his peak, is he going to be better than Zion? I would say probably not. So, if you think you can get Scion healthy for, let’s just say 75% of the of the seasons moving forward, that’s a huge win. And could this team, you know, get better, get back to the playoffs, make a push and grow as a core? They fully could as well. If you’re the Pelicans, right, if you’re Joe Dumars, who could be facing a lot of pressure to trade Zion, I would say you’re trading him when his value is not like the highest it’s ever been, but this is still a pretty good package in return, right? You’re getting back a former first overall draft pick in Zachary Rishes. You’re getting back two future draft picks, which who knows, maybe this Hawks team blows their roster up in five years. Who really knows at this point? So, if that’s the case, that’d be crazy. But, uh, yeah, all things considered, I think this is a pretty big time win for the Hawks to make.
