The ONLY Way to Fix the Miami Heat (That Everyone is Afraid to Say) | Full Rebuild Breakdown

We’re at the point now where all Heat fans agree that major changes are necessary, but not everybody agrees what those major changes should be. That’s because people are stupid. Kevin Durant is right there and Miami needs to go get him right now. No thank you. He’s way too old and Miami will still be mid with him. We’ll get Giannis, too, and then we’ll be unstoppable. We say that every year. It’s not going to happen. Just blow it up and rebuild. You two relax. It’s my video. All right. Although you both do bring up some good points. I mean, Lord knows I like to dream as much as the next guy. I’ve already posted videos on Jarant and Giannis and Nicole Joic and KD and Zion Williamson, and I’ll continue to post videos about those guys, even a guy like Trey Young, as the rumor mill continues to heat up this off season. But the reality is the likelihood of the Heat landing any of these players is not very high. I’d give it like a 57.2% chance, which funny enough is actually the amount of people who are not subscribed to this channel. So, if you could do me a favor and fix that, I do greatly appreciate the support. Let’s get back into the video. Now, this is nothing new. I mean, the Miami Heat have been on the list of disgruntled stars for years just for them to land elsewhere because the Miami Heats lack assets. However, I’ll continue to make those videos because one, they’re they’re fun to make and I like to dream. But two, I do genuinely believe that the Heat have a chance at some of those guys, even if it’s not a high chance, just because we do currently have three tradable first round picks with the ability to make that up to four. And they do have some nice young pieces like Tyler Hiro, Nicole Yoic, Khilar that I do think other teams could be interested in. The problem of course is that many other teams can still beat our best offer assuming the Miami Heat don’t want to trade Bamabo which I don’t think they’ll do. So in today’s video I want to discuss taking this off season the complete other direction because if the Heat can’t land a whale and it would be complete malpractice to run it back then I want to see what it will look like to blow it up completely and rebuild from scratch. And that’s a strategy that truthfully is just sometimes necessary to pull a team out of the depths of mediocrity. I mean, let’s take a look at the top contenders right now. You got the Oklahoma City Thunder. They traded Russell Westbrook and Paul George before it was too late and they were able to acquire some picks and talents and then they would trade that talent to get even more picks like they did with Chris Paul. If you remember, they got Chris Paul and a pick for Russell Westbrook because at the time CP3 was looked at as a negative asset. Well, CP3 spent a season there. He played really well. They rehabilitated his trade value and then traded him for more assets. That’s how the Thunder have so many picks that they do right now. And then of course, you have to hit on your lottery picks like the Thunder did with Chad Homegr and Jaylen Williams. If you also want to look at the Boston Celtics, they traded away Garnett and Pierce and Rondo for a boatload of picks. We all remember that Brooklyn Nets trade is one of the worst in history, but the Celtics did it. They blew up their roster. They sucked for a few seasons, but then they hit on their high draft picks with Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown, the two guys that led them to a championship this past season. And then, of course, they use some of the other remaining picks to trade for guys like Derek White and Drew Holiday over the years. Then, if you want to look at the Cavaliers, they traded Kyrie Irving, they lost LeBron James, they looked like they had no future whatsoever, but they really only sucked for three seasons. They got high lottery picks and hit on them with Darius Garland and Evan Mobley. And then they had the cap space to sign Larry Markin, who they were then able to later flip for Donovan Mitchell with additional picks. They were also able to get Jiren Allen with with more picks. And boom, that’s your core right there. You can even look at the Indiana Pacers who are currently up 20 right now against those Cavaliers. Of course, way back in the day, they traded Paul George for Sabonis and Olad Depot and they were mediocre for many years, but that front office was smart. They realized that that core had a ceiling to them and then they would eventually trade Sabonis for a younger Tyresese Hallebertton and then they would suck for a few seasons and now you you are where you at now with Tyres Hallebertton leading that team and just doing great things over there. Now that’s not to say tank year after year and make tanking your entire team’s identity like the Philadelphia 76ers. I mean making your motto trust the process which is just another way of saying we’re okay with losing. That’s the dumbest thing possible. And really what Philly should have did is they probably should have traded Joel Embiid several years ago because at least to me it was very clear that that ceiling has a team as long as they’re built around Joel Embiid. I mean, he’s never been out of the second round. He can’t stay healthy in the playoffs and they probably should have traded him a few years ago when his trade value was at the highest. Now to the in the same regard, the Miami Heat also kind of made the same mistake with Jimmy Butler because as soon as they knew they weren’t getting Damen Lillard and they knew they weren’t going to give Jimmy Butler that extension, the Heat should have traded him. They should have known things were going to get going to get ugly and had they traded Jimmy Butler a year a year and a half ago, they could have got a lot more value for him than the one first round pick they ended up getting. They they probably could have got as much as three and obviously this team would be in a much better spot had they done that. But I still believe that the Miami Heat have positive assets on the roster, meaning guys that they can flip to get draft capital. And just looking at their salary cap sheet here, obviously got Bam Debio and Tyler Herro. Andrew Wiggins is probably still a positive asset, although he’s starting to turn the other direction. And then you look at a guy like Terry Roser and Duncan Robinson, who while they’re not great players, they are on expiring contracts, meaning their money comes off the books after next season. And in the NBA, there is some value in that. Although neither guy is really a great player at the moment, particularly Terry Rosir, but Kyle Anderson probably not. Davia Mitchell is not on the books next year. Haywood Highmith as a cheap expiring might have some value there. Obviously, Khalil Wear is a great young player. Kevin Love, no. Unfortunately, Jame Hakez at this point I don’t think has positive trade value just because he had such a poor sophomore season. But I do think he could quickly get that back up with just a hot start to next year. And then obviously Nicole Yovich has trade value. Of course, Alec Burks is not on the books next season. I do think Pella has some trade value cuz he had a nice rookie year. And then Kashad, Josh Christopher Drew Smith, and Isaiah Stevens. None of those guys are technically on the books next year as of right now. And I think a full rebuild means selling off your core while their trade value is at an all-time high. I mean, you look at Tyler Hiro, 25 years old, just made the All-Star team, did not sign his extension yet, so you can get him to another franchise and let them make that decision. So, I think his trade value is probably at an all-time high. Same with Bama Debau who although he didn’t make the all-star team this season, he is always one of the best defensive players in the entire world and he did have a pretty strong second half of the season with regards to his scoring and three-point shooting and I think that would entice a lot of a lot of front offices to go after him as well. And his max extension was signed. He’ll be making over $50 million per year, but that didn’t kick in yet. At least next season, he still has a relatively cheap deal before the money goes way up the following year. and then that’s when his trade value might be a little bit less. And then we’ll also trade Andrew Wiggins as a part of this hypothetical rebuild just because he’s 30 years old, doesn’t make a lot of money, and he doesn’t really fit the timeline of this team. Now, determining trade value is tough because the market literally gets changed every year and it’s usually set by whoever the first person is to be traded. Of course, everybody likes to go back to that Rudy Gobear trade where he went for four first round picks. So people are using that and saying, “Oh, well, if Goar went for four first, then Giannis has to go for eight first.” No, that that’s not exactly how it works because I do think that that Goar trade was an anomaly. Even more recently, you had Muel Bridges go to the Knicks for five first round picks, which is crazy. But every team situation is different. The Knicks, I would say, were pretty desperate to compete at the time when they traded for Muel Bridges. And of course, they wanted to get all the Villanova boys together with Jaylen Brunson and Dante Dancenzo. Although of course they ended up trading Dante Devincenzo for Cat with only one first round pick by the way. So I think Cat’s a better player than Muel Bridges, but Cat only went for one first. And again, he did have Julius Randle attached to him also. So needless to say, in any trade, if a if let’s say the Heat trade Tyro, if they are receiving a player of value back, then obviously they’re not going to get as many first round picks. So there’s just a lot to consider here. But I believe that if only random role players were in a Tyler Herro deal as salary filler, I think Tyler Herro could still net you a two first round picks. You’re talking about a guy who literally just made the All-Star team at 25 years old. Nobody can take that away from him. And although he tends to struggle in the postseason, we know that he’s an absolute bucket in the regular season. And I think in the right situation where he’s not the number one guy, I think that I know I mean I guess I know we’ve seen it. He’s a very great player in this league. And I do think he’s a true three-level scorer. He can get to the rim, something that he was much better at this season. He’s obviously leading the mid-range. His three his three-point shooting is one of the best in the entire NBA. One to three-point contest if that does anything for his trade value. So, I do think he’s a guy that could still get you two first round picks on the open market to the right team. Maybe a team like the Brooklyn Nets who don’t have a lot going on for them. They have a ton of cap space. So, they would be able to give Tyler Hero the money that he wants and he would be able to bring some excitement to that team because Hero is an exciting player. Maybe a team like the Detroit Pistons who after their successful year this year, they did fall short in the first round, maybe they want to make a a big maybe they want to take a big swing to take a big jump next season. And ideally, they would want to do it with a guy who fits their young timeline. That would be Tyler Herro. And I think his offball shooting would be a perfect compliment to a guy like Kate Cunningham. And I think they would have a very great starting back court in the Eastern Conference. Maybe a team like the Utah Jazz that we talked about, a team that’s not a free agent destination. So, they would have to make some sort of move to to trade for someone if they ever want to help their roster improve. And then they would have some interesting decisions to do with their roster, whether they go more young and build around an Isaiah Kolar/Kante George Tyler Hero backcourt or maybe they try to go a bit older and you got Hero and Markin and John Collins. they would have a lot of interesting decisions there. Point is, I think there is now several suitors that would be interested in Tyler Herro where in years past there wasn’t. I mean, we know that’s part of the reason the Damen Lillard trade didn’t go through. The Blazers didn’t want Tyler Herro and they couldn’t find a third team to take him at that time. But I do think Tyler Herro did take a leap this season, at least in terms of a regular season player again. And I do think he did a good job building his trade value back up. Now, a guy like Bam Bailey, I still believe that he can honestly net you four first round picks just because, do not get it twisted. He will always be elite at the defensive side of the ball, which I think is way too underrated. A lot of people like to talk about his inconsistencies on offense and his inconsistencies and aggression. Hell, I do it all the time, but I always make sure to acknowledge that he is always giving max effort on the defensive end. And the truth of the matter is not many guys do that in today’s game. I think because Bam is a big man who is elite at defense and rebounding and he’s one of the few guys that can actually guard one through five. I think he gives him such a rare skill set that almost every single team in the league would be interested in him. And for that reason, I do think he get you four first round picks. And not to mention, he is still relatively young also. He’s only like 27 years old. That to me means he has a lot of trade value still. So that’s four first round picks for Bama Deio. And then I believe that Andrew Wiggins can still get you one first round pick. I know a lot of people disagree with me on that. Again, of course, it depends on if he goes to the right situation. I posted a Giannis Adendumbo mock five team trade a couple of days ago where I had Wiggins going to Memphis and then Memphis sent a first round pick to the Bucks which helped the Heat get Giannis. And the reason I did that trade is because I think Wiggins would fit perfectly in that Grizzly system. They could have a starting lineup of Jarant, Bane, Wiggins, Jiren Jackson, and Edy. is just a very well-rounded starting unit. And part of the reason that Wigan struggled in Miami is because they were looking at him as like the second offensive scoring option behind Tyler Herro. Whereas, if he goes to Memphis, he’ll be playing behind Jaw and Jiren Jackson and Desmond Bane and then he won’t have as big a load on the offensive end and can kind of focus on being that elite role player that we saw him win a championship with the Warriors just a few years ago. So, because that wasn’t too long ago where he was a champion, a a very important role player on a championship team, an all-star starter, I do think he has enough trade value to still get you a first round pick in today’s game. If you’re watching this video, then you are an elite ball knower. So, why not take advantage of it with my bookie? Listen y’all, throughout the NBA playoffs, I’ll be using their live betting feature to smash the DaVon Mitchell overs and smash the Rudy Gobear unders and then using their early cash out option to stack up the profits. If you want to do the same, make sure to sign up for My Bookie using promo code MM50, which will instantly boost your first deposit. And then once the games wrap up, you can check out their casino, which has blackjack and slots and roulette. You name it, bet on anything, anytime, anywhere. only with my bookie. Now, let’s get back into the video. So, that means that theoretically Miami could add around seven first round picks this off season and then hopefully all the contracts that they receive would be expiring deals. And if not, you would think they’re at least halfway decent role players that maybe the Heat could rehabilitate their trade value and then trade them at the trade deadline to get even more picks, even if it’s second round picks. So, it’s kind of like you trade a you start a chain there. you trade for a role player now, might have a couple years left on his deal. Then you trade him at the trade deadline when more guys are available and that’s how you find your expiring contract. So that would mean that the Heat would go into next season. They would basically tank and they would get a very high draft pick, which of course now they have their 2026 pick because they made the playoffs. So OKC got our 25 pick, meaning the Heat now have their 2026 pick. And obviously if you trade Tyler and bam, you’re going to suck next year, meaning you would have a very, very high lottery pick. And then you would go into the 2026 off seasonason with some nice young players and Nola Yoic, Khil Wear, whoever you pick with that very high draft pick. Maybe it’s the kid out of BYU, they say might be the first pick in the draft, but you’re going to get someone good. And then you would have a treasure trove of first round picks from the Bam and Wiggins and Hero trade. And then you would have hella salary cap space because bam, hero Wiggins would be off your books in addition to Terry Rosir and Duncan Robinson because remember those guys are expiring contracts next season. So that’s kind of like the Houston Rockets route. Remember they traded James Harden, they sucked for a couple of seasons, had hella cap space, gave a bag to Fred Van Fleet. They obviously overpaid for him, but it didn’t matter. It was a short deal. they had to give the money to somebody and then they used him as a mentor to kind of train some of these high draft picks that they got like Amen Thompson for example and you see how just a couple years later they were already second in the Western Conference. They struggled in the first round series versus Golden State Warriors. But obviously I think we all know that that team has a ton of potential and the Heat would get all that cap space in that coveted 2026 NBA free agency which has Luca Donuch among other guys. But truthfully, I am one of those people that doesn’t believe in free agency anymore because most guys sign extensions before they could even get to free agency. So, I don’t think there’s a lot of points in looking at the free agents for that year. At least not right now because like I said, guys could sign extensions, they could accept player options, team options could be accepted or decline. You just never really know who’s going to be available in free agency. But either way, the cap space is still crucial to have because even if you make a trade, you now have a bunch of cap space to absorb a player’s contract into your salary via trade without having to send out equal money. So, that’s how I would fix the Miami Heat. With just one season of tanking, they would have a loaded arsenal to start being competitive the very next season or at least have a very, very bright future, much brighter than they have right now. and they would have a clear direction, which I would say right now they don’t. You got Tyler Hero who’s 25, but then Andrew Wiggins who’s 30. I don’t really think the timelines fit all that well and completely blowing it up and rebuilding would give you that clear direction that I think would be very beneficial. But let me know all y’all thoughts down in the comments below. I’m very curious to hear what y’all think. Kind of the point of this video is so as I continue making these whale videos throughout the off season, I’ll get all these comments saying, “Oh, why are you talking about Giannis? It’s not going to happen. The Heat don’t have a chance. they might as well rebuild. And then I can point them to this video and say, “Hey, I agree with you. If you can’t get Giannis, which there’s still a several months left in the offseason to kind of see what happens there. I mean, the Bucks just got eliminated. Let the finals finish first and we’ll get all these rumors and stuff and we’ll see what happens and go from there. But if the Heat can’t land a whale, then yes, I do agree. Blow it up, rebuild, and I’ll point them to this video to explain exactly why. But make sure to like the video and comment. I’m on the grind to hit 8,000 subscribers. So, all the support is greatly appreciated and I’ll see youall on the next video. Peace out, everyone. Trying to get that dead face. Do it on my own. I don’t need no dead weight. Had to kill them off. Yeah, I need a head space. You know this homegrown [ __ ] don’t fan.

  1. ANT would you pay Bam + Jaylen Brown 120mil as our core? And possibly go into the luxury tax with Tyler?

    Mitchell
    Tyler
    Jaylen
    Bam
    Ware

Rumours are Boston would trade Brown for KD and Phoenix might flip Brown to us for youngsters and picks.

  2. 1 through 5, 1 through 5. why the hell would we want him guarding 1 or 2 anyway?!! that's exactly what the other team wants to get bam away from the bigs and ensure easy buckets inside or an offensive board. terrible how he switches too easily and so much. makes me think he would really rather just guard smalls to avoid banging inside.

  3. I'm all for that rebuild plan if it could land us 7 first round picks. But is it possible for the Heat to trade that 20th pick to Charlotte for our 2027 pick back? If that's possible, then we could have first round picks for 2026 to 2032 plus up to 7 extra picks for young talents and maybe get an superstar talent.

  4. I want them to do this so badly. We really wouldn’t have to tank the first year either. We will just be bad enough to be in the lottery, so the Heat don’t have to go against their honor/morals and such.

I would obviously want draft picks, but I would be down to get less, taking back young players that could pop.

A short list of young guys that I think can level up and become core pieces:

    Jaden Ivey
    Deuce McBride
    Jonathan Kuminga
    Benedict Mathurin

  5. Full rebuild is a no no. Your looking at the now & not remembering those teams like OKC had 4+ years of losing seasons before they broke out Mia need to keep bam, herro, & ware, they just need a Zion or a Luka type player to be title favorites.

  6. Right there with you AD. Excellent video. Won't lose an ioda of sleep if Bam, Duncan, Tyler, Wiggins and Terry are off the team next year. Cap space flexibility and potentially 6 or more first round draft picks are up for grabs. Certainly a no brainer for me. I look forward to seeing JJJ, Keshad, Jovic, Christopher, Ware, Stevens, Larsson, #20 pick, Highsmith, Smith, slomo, Love, Mitchell and Burks play next year. And with everyone I mentioned, there won't be a boring moment of basketball from start to finish. Enjoy the rest of the playoffs. There are some serious road warriors out there. 😎🔥

  7. Get rid of Bam, he's a center I don't care how good he can guard the perimeter if he let's some no name centers destroy him in the paint and thats happened too many times. He can't protect the rim and he's always out of position to get the boards.

  8. Yeah blow it up, trade Outdated Pat and Spo for ganias and a three first, bring in Denvers Coach they fired, trade herro and JJJ for young and a second. Then trade two first and Robertson for marketin and jovic
