Indiana Pacers Vs. Cleveland Cavaliers FULL GAME May 6, 2025 | NBA TODAY | NBA Highlights
time division rivals as the tip is won by the Cavaliers and we are underway. John Michael, Brad Doy some of your Sunday night with us as here’s Jared Allen. He’ll hand off to Darius Garland right back to Jared Allen who opens the scoring with a thunderous dunk. Well, that’s a great job. Darius Garland turns that corner as usual. Miles Turner, the guard, the big center, turned his back to Jared Allen. Wanted to help but just didn’t do it. Got caught in between. You will pay. Jared Allen will make sure he cashes that check. Nehard inside, couldn’t shoot it as Moy was there. Matan fires a three that Moley rebounds. Darius Garland is coming off of a beauty. A 40point performance here on Thursday against the Toronto Raptors as Moy works on Seiaka. He banks and scores. Yeah, they’re going to let Seakum go just head up, try to guard Evan Mobley. Evan’s going to take advantage of that space. Use those big long limbs. Nice strong move by Evan. That will be fun to watch here this evening. Demhard spins. He’ll take a contested jumper. That was well done by Jared Allen. Remember that’s a sevenfooter looking to guard the quick 64 Nehart. Mobley pressured by Seaka. Hands off to Garland. Garland steps back plays through Moley. Mobley will fire that three. Oh, we’re seeing him night in and night out. John, that that shot for Evan Mobley at the top of the key is becoming deadly. The Cavs score the first seven points. Seakkum now has seen Mobley inside and Moy outside. Matthew gets two feet in the paint. Neard a long range three. Turner grabs the rebound, deals back to Hallebert and he’ll drive to Nemhard. Seaks in the corner. Rebounded by Allen. Good start. Mitchell saunters into the fourourt. He’s picked up by Nemhar. That’s Nemar’s usual assignment. guard the top perimeter player night in and night [Music] out. Mitchell checks the shot clock. It shows six. It worked like damn hard. Crossed him over. Woots it up. He got knocked down. Allen eventually gets there. Back it goes to Garland. He’s open. He fires. He nails it. 10 nothing Cavaliers. And Rick Carile needs a timeout, man. Wow. No is the answer. Cavs are rolling. Dean Wade guards Hallebertton and off it goes to Turner. Turner likes the three and he gets Indiana on the board. The Cavs were last in action on Thursday. A 132 126 victory over Toronto on the heels of a big win over Oklahoma City right here the night before. You know, John, every win, every game now is a big game for the Cavaliers. There’s a huge mark get you on that on that big hip. Ball just rattled out, but it was it was 90% down. Good shot. Three minutes in. Matron puts it on the floor. He got cut off. He keeps his dribble. Faces Allen this time. Now it’s Turner. Diamond needs to do a good job on Matan. Boy, he’s absolutely been a Cavs killer about the last five times we played against this young man on Q. Matan can’t hit that time from the elbow as Jared Allen grabs his third early rebound. Think I Gar. Good work then. Ziaka with a nice block. He has all that reach. This big Pascal picked up midway through last season. said he was happy to have his first full year here with the Pacers. Went through camp. Emhar got hooked by Garland. Works his way to the foul line and cans a 15-footer. Yeah, Seakum very long. Excellent defender. Guards well on the post. Can guards in the mid post and get out on the perimeter on switches and guard guards. So great great addition to this basketball team. Such a big deal during the summer. Wow. As probably had to play that one off the glass. He still almost guided it in. Pacers rolled the dice signing Seaka. He was eligible to become a free agent. Traded three first to Toronto. Borham as Moy knocks it away. Hallebertton got it back. Allebertton lines up a three. He had all day. Maybe too much time. So the pacer front office got the job done signing Seakum to a multipleyear deal. Mitchell now works inside and it knocked away. It was Nemhard who got a hand in there. Near lost the ball. Back come the cap. Wade off to Mitchell. He’s open. Wow. Wade dives and salvages the possession. And this crowd loves the effort by Dean Wade. Count those extra possessions at the end of the night. And Dean Wade just got his basketball team won by getting after Dean Wade with a corner three. And how do you like that sequence? It’s a snapshot of what this man brings to this Cavaliier team. Yeah, Dean. Excellent. Excellent effort every night. big body 68 can can move his feet can guard big guys guard little guys shoot that three good rebounder Zen ways just evolving into a heck of a player for the Cavaliers no easy assignment tonight having to deal with Hallebertton as Turner wants another three that one’s shortly rebounds his third five Cavs 5 minutes in Moley bothered by the angular seak he’ll work his way to the paint take his time piraette sakam had it for a moment pokes it away pacer ball tonight’s officiating crew referee Musa Daggers in his seventh season our umpire Derrick basketball game for this Indiana Pacers they were hammering people inside dominating those points in the paint so they’re going away from that right now with turner shoot those jump shots Hallebertton’s runner doesn’t go grabs the offensive rebound mat puts it on the floor trying to challenge Jared Allen and that was not a good idea Allen with the rejection Allen I think got hit in the base. Great defense by Jared Allen. You’re just not getting anything off easily. You’re going to pay when you come in that lane with everyone. Shot clock running low. Turner tries to draw a foul and he gets it. Wade picks up the personal. 625 to go here in the first. He turns the corner and he almost throws ever so slightly. Dean saying, “What am I supposed to do there?” Yeah. I mean, he’s getting contact, too. So, you’re going to fade backwards, but not much you can do. It’s interesting. These two teams, much like the Cavs, the Pacers opted for continuity and stability this off season. They resigned and Seakum, as we mentioned, and Obie Toppin. But Carlio’s club extended Andrew Nebart and TJ McConnell. They already signed extensions for Tyrese Hallebertton and Aaron Nesmith kicked in. So, this team returns 10 of their top 11 scorers. Just like the Cavs, they start the season with a 9 to 10 player rotation that looks almost exactly like the rotation did a season ago. Yeah, I think this could be the way going forward of of trying to build these consistent lineups where you have depth in the basketball team. You know, we went through the last couple of decades where every star just could go and join another star and try to win a championship. A lot of them did. Uh but I think now they’re looking at that thing and you can do this for a long time if you can build and you have the patience. A lot of guys don’t have the hat teams don’t have the patience because fans want you to win right now and that’s understandable. That’s just not how it works. Let’s not forget as we have a foul called off the ball that’s on Max Screws. Pacers had a terrific run just last season this season. They get all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2014. Well, Rick Carile is just the consmate basketball coach and whatever pieces he has to that puzzle, he’s going to put that puzzle together. He doesn’t have to have 15 stars. He doesn’t have to. You just give him some guys that want to play and buy into what he’s doing. He’s going to win basketball games. It’s a just a heck of a a tenure basketball. Way out Obie Toppin to the loose ball as that Leverk feed was intended for Allen. It comes loose. Here comes Obie. He lost the ball momentarily. Toppin has checked in along with Ben Shepard, the secondyear man out of Belmont. Turner’s alone in the corner. He missed that one. Wide laps. Bruce has checked in for the Cavs as has Carris Lever and George Nang stands at the scorers table. He’ll check in at the next dead ball. Garland shovels one off the wave. Spruce gets bumped. Nemhard picks up the personal number. Notably basketball for this Cavaliers team over the past 10 12 games. Georgia just been getting better and better and just big impacts throughout the basketball game that he’s in. Clutch shots throughout this 12game winning streak. clutch shots, big time rebounds, switching on to five guys, you know, have to guard the centers at times. Doing a great job. Allen got buckled and fouled. Winning plays. Yeah. From George Nang as of late. McConnell picks and to deal with a sevenfooter. Sometimes that’s your only recourse. Yeah, that’s all there is. Yeah, it is. You might know something about that. Yes. Here’s Spruce. Spruce to the foul line. Wheel one off to Garland. Garland leans. He got it. That’s a tough shot. As Garland was drifting to his right, he banks and scores and gives the Cavaliers a 15-6 lead. Tough shot because it was the only shot he had. He had to make that and that was a leaner. TJ McConnell did a good job taking away that left side. Turner down the alley. He has six of the eight pacer points. Two squares up. Max had four threes here on Thursday in that victory over Toronto. Connell tried to get there and Caris Levert said no. Garland splits between two of the Pacers. Pops one off to Levert. Levert puts it on the floor and eventually gets the knee. Turner and Allen were in a battle and eventually it’s Shepard who comes up with a loose ball. TJ McConnell’s got him extra gear there. He kind of went beat by everyone and Levert came out of nowhere, stopped that play. Good job by Caris Levert. The 32-year-old had a career year last season. He was rewarded with an extension. Toughen for three. Doing a good job of talking defensively. Great communication. Good rotation defensively as well. Allen trying to take that feed inside. That was knocked away. Cavs have turned it over already four times tonight. Shepard’s in the corner. He’s got it. Yeah, those turnovers. Kenny’s going to get a timeout. Got to got to tighten that up just a little bit. 346 to go. just great characters. I mean, there’s no ego, there’s no complaining, it’s not nothing. They just go to work every day. It’s a group of guys that are the first ones to the gym and the last ones to leave. Evan Moley with a tough shot over the newly inserted Thomas Bryant. Get a good shot off. McConnell scurries under the basket. He’ll find Hallebertton in the corner. He got run off the arc by Levertton. tiptoe baseline and score as Hallebertton gets on the board. Lever works right around Shepard inside to Nang. Nang lays it in. Did he throw a lob to George? Can’t believe he did. George goes up, brings it down. Nice little shot by George off the glass. Harris threw that too high. What are you doing? High arc. Whoa. Shot by Hallebert. I think Bryant had designs on trying to hammer that thing back home all in one motion and he whipped Moley puts it on the floor working on Bryant gets inside. Brian got a piece of that. Been a nice pickup after being acquired from the heat. Go ahead. Yeah. No, he’s a heck of an athlete. Very active. Really working hard to force Evan to his left. He was traded at mid December for a second round pick. Played 10 games with Miami to start the season. Bryant got a start four days ago against Chicago. Went for 22 points and ain’t rebound. What a pass by Mitchell to find Levert in the corner. NAG poked at it. Eventually it comes to Bryant. The loss of Isaiah Jackson. Indiana needed some depth inside. There’s Top and he banks and scores and cuts that Cavaliier lead to two. Yeah, I remember Brian at Miami in various games, man, coming in and just doing a yman’s work for three to four minutes and then going out and I was like that guy got he can play for a second round pick. Pretty good value. Really good value. Right. Hecking 1819 season. Yeah, George just brings a toughness and giness to this basketball team that you just need to have that guy on the team. He’s going to do whatever it takes to win that basketball game. Mitchell for three. Ao grabs a long rebound and it knocked away momentarily by Nang. gets it back. Beats Shepard in the corner. Now it’s tough and dribble has to settle for that shot that he can. That’s an excellent possession by George Ningang defensively. He stayed right in the center of of Seakum’s chest. Seakum just excellent offensive output there. The Pacers early weathered an early storm as that pass by Mitchell is picked off. The Pacers have cobbled together a 10-2 run. Shepard inside. He gives Indiana the lead. Cavs scored the first 10 points of the ball game. Under a minute to go here in the first. The Cavs haven’t had any points in the paint since, you know, 11:15 since that George me ain’t layup. That was the first time in, you know, since 11 minutes into this game they scored the side. Moley wide open for three. [Applause] Jazz have gone cold here in the latter portion of this first quarter. 30 ticks to go. McConnell mid-range. Levert rebounds. There’s about a 3se second difference between shot clock and game clock. Got to get over this timeline. He does. He’s watched tightly by Ben Shepard. Lebert angles off a half moley screen. Mobley makes the catch at the nail. Deals to Mitchell. Mitchell stands still three. Donovan can’t buy one in this first quarter. Toppin barely beats the shot clock. The shot doesn’t go. The communication has been a big theme in these huddles, guys. TJ McConnell, meanwhile, misses a foul line jumper. We’ll set the lineup for you in a moment to open this second quarter. Here’s Max Stru Mitchell feed. He knocks it down. Stru Mitchell Nang Moley and Isaac Auroro start this second. Nice twoman game there with Max. Donovan the great little hook pass back over the top. Little baseball pass by Donovan Mitchell. Pascal Seakum’s out here with four reserves. Tooffen, Shepard, McConnell, and Bryant. Seakum spins on Stroo banks and misses. It’s tipped. Seakum reathers. The basers reset with a fresh 14. This time it’s a Cororo who guard Seakum. He’ll pick up a driving Shepard who misses. Moy rebounds. That first footer snapped a streak of 98 consecutive quarters in which the Cavs had scored 20 points or more. They scored 19 only to the basket. And remember, the Cavs had 10 points just 2 minutes and 10 seconds in. Yeah, it was 10. They just blew out of the the the gates there. I thought they were going to score 50 points, but kind of ran out of gas there. Teams are going to make adjustments. It’s getting that time of year. It’s getting, you know, with 35 games in, Pete, he’s getting making adjustments to the C, so we can make it tough on him. McConnell inbounds from the baseline. Jerus Walker has just checked in. The secondyear man out of Houston took that inbounds pass. Matan returns. Here’s Matan with the basketball and a shot clock that shows four. Math works on Na. That was really well done as that’s a shot clock violation. Excellent switch by George N. double teaming that basketball. Mitchell for three. Well, I like the look Donovan’s getting tonight. He’ll get those going. Look a little bit heavy on a couple of those shots, but got to keep being aggressive. I don’t care if he goes five for 50. He’s got to keep shooting that ball and get that rhythm back. It’s coming. Seakum found. Looking for that cut by Bryant. He did a good job of coming to that basketball. Seakum has all that reach. Here’s Bryant on the line. He’s in his eighth NBA season. He can’t hit the free throw. It’s popped out, however, by Jerus Walker. So, the Pacers set up shop once again. This time, it’s McConnell who tears to the basket. McConnell lays it up and in and gives the Pacers a 2524 lead. Yeah, we got to do a little better job of get stopping those second chance opportunities. We talked about that against Toronto. Anytime there’s a a 50-50 ball, the Cavs got to come up with that. Stress for three. Moley set up the play. Here comes McConnell again. He’ll just keep coming and coming in waves. When he checks in, coach Rick Carile called him a serial paint attacker. Yeah, no doubt about it. Seakum bounces back to McConnell. Thought about it and he missed it. Good job. Got a good double team on Seakum. Made to get rid of that basketball and McConnell just not confident enough to make that shot at this point. Mitchell right through Seakum right over Bryant and Donovan Mitchell gets on the board. Yeah, I like Donovan being aggressive and going to the basket scoring that thing and get some rhythm back. Looked like he rushed it. That’s going to be reviewed by the NBA replay center. Aoro to the basket. Wow, that foul’s going on the floor by umpire Derek Richardson. Apparently in his mind it was before the gather by Aoro. So it’s a nonshooting foul. See if Seakum got that off in time. This is reviewed by the NBA Replay Center. I’m shocked. I’m looking at it. It’s still in his hand. That is reviewed. If you’re a little bit newer to the game, the NBA Replay Center will review that. Sam Merrill fires a three. Should that have been deemed still on his fingertips and the clock hits zero. Should have been looking right at it. Send it down to the scorers table and make a change in the next neutral moment. Mat well appeared to be out of control. He went slamming into Donovan Mitchell and Mitchell picks up a tough luck foul. That’s right. They heard me back there. They know I don’t I’m very, you know, after video on 842 in the second quarter by Pasi occurred after and there it is. You’re welcome. Cavaliers. Great job by our production Chuck and me and Brad Dohy. Yep. You’re welcome. Yeah. And director Dan Seik, head of replay Pat Farrell, but mostly Brad Dh. I’ve got faith now again. I’m excited. That’s awesome. Merryill deals to Moy. Moley’s picked up by Bryant. Cororo’s in the corner. Back it goes to Merrill. Four minutes in second quarter. Mitchell works on Walker. Got it. Love it. There you go. Get that Donovan Mitchell rhythm going. Get a little confidence in that shot. Want to see him take 20 shots tonight. Get that rhythm, guys. They’re double teaming and making it hard for him. Got to play through it. Bryant dumps back to Walker. Walker thought about a three. Jab step, puts it on the floor. Walker gives it to Mat. Back to Walker. Walker a long range three. My goodness. 40 ft away from the basket. Not much you can do defensively other than what the Cavs did. Everybody communicated and talk did a good job. He just took a really difficult shot and made it. Moley wants Stru. Stru takes the feet. Shakes around Hallebertton. Max inside. Finds Aoro. Hallebertton has his head up. Pacers like to move. Off makes and misses. Walker that time got styi by Merryill. Knocked him down. A sweep went off to Bryant. Hallebertton couldn’t drive. And the Rangy Mobley was there. Hallebertton tries it again. He’ll jump to Matthew. Hallebertton checked in fourth in the NBA and assists per game. Picks up his third of this first half. Yeah, he’s a great facilitator. Just a heck of a player. Hallebertton is makes people better. Makes sure everybody touches the basketball. If you’re open in a strong position, he gives you the ball. Barrels three doesn’t go out. Angle Seakum 3029 Pacers a lowscoring affair so far as that pass was intended for Walker up over his head and out of bounds as Hallebertton was running out of air space and the Monsters were victorious. They do a great job leader of both of those teams as that ball meanwhile is tipped as it headed up toward Isaac Auroro in the corner. Great job. Great fan base here for both of those clubs as well. Back to Garland late in the shot clock. Tay knocks it down. Yeah, great job by Ma by by Sam Merrill attacking that basket, keeping that ball alive and drawing that defense. He drew all the defensive pressure to him. Wide open Darius Garland. We’ve seen him make those shots over the past last few weeks consistently. Here’s Hallebertton. He’s picked up by Dean Wade. Hallebertton bounces inside toward Turner. Turner twists. He got held. He gets the roll and Miles Turner has a chance for Knights. We’ve passed the midway point of the second quarter, 32 apiece. Cavaliers ranked second in scoring this season. The Pacers 11. However, it’s been a lowcoring first half. Nang, he’ll drive baseline. Put it up and put it in. George Niang with the teardrop. Nice job by the Cavaliers again. Darius Garland. That dribble drive, the best in the NBA. You have to respect it, but it’s so difficult to figure out how to guard it. Somebody’s always over. Kobe Toppen. His three is no good. The Dayton product. Garland works his way into the four. Gords it under his arm. Finds Merrill who broke out of the corner. Now he finds a Cororo as a Cororo lays it in. That was gorgeous. And the Pacers want a timeout. That’s too many guys on the floor who are just really good at seeing the floor. Garland works off a big knee screen. He’ll back up. Set up Turner. Shovel off to a Cororo. That was knocked away. However, Toppin had it knocked away by Nang off toppen. Cavs ball. What a great hustle by George Nang. You’re thinking of hard fouls coming, but George gets in front is able to knock it off of Well done. Highf flyer. top and looked at first like he had dunk on the mind as Merrill for three. He’s got it. That’s a big turnaround right there as Obie was headed toward the basket. The Cavs get the turnover courtesy of Nang. They get the three courtesy of Merrill. Turner gets bumped and fouled inside. A fivepoint swing as 358 now remains in the second. Turner will shoot two with his Pacers down seven. Nice quick pass to say looking where they’re passing. You know, sometimes you get to where you’re playing so well, you can just kind of peripheral. You be so out of the corner of your eye, you just throw that. And throwing that basketball on the periphery sometimes gets you in trouble when you’re not 100% or you’re a little bit off. And uh I think that’s what they did. They adjusted that. They’re taking better care of the ball. Well, the Paces ranked 21st defensively. They are opportunistic. They create turnovers. They take advantage off those opponent mischief screen. Get picked up by the taller Turner. Garland looks to set him up. Deals to Wade now to Nang. Nang did not hesitate and he pockets a corner three. That’s what that does. Turner stuck on Daryus Garland and everybody’s looking to help Turner, but they forget about that that back player which is which is going to be Nang hanging to that weak side for that ultimately last pass. Nice job. Nehard salvages the possession. Looks to work on Merrill here to push off. He’ll bank and score. does Nemhard last time down. George kept that ball nice and high. He did. Didn’t even bring it down to to load up the the Gwagon. He just went straight up. Didn’t need to fuel up. And here’s Levert. Levert. He’ll dump back to Nang. Does he have another tip by Walker and grabbed eventually by Walker? Headman pass to Tophin who shovels to Nemar. Near works on Nyang. Nang gets called for the one. Nemart shoots free throws at 81%. We pause for a word from Kia. Brown was Nemhart. He started more games over his first two seasons than anyone selected in the top 12 of his draft class. That is an incredible stat. Uh very durable young man. Heck of a defender. He’s talking about those defensive stats and Indiana not being in the upper echelon of the on the perimeter. I think they defend as well as anyone. going to have a ton of rim protection. Turner does a good job, but he’s kind of the only guy back there. Allen with the fall out of mid-range. That is long. Near’s beenounded by a knee injury that’s costed multiple games. A big reason why the Pacers got off to a slow start. Real blue guy is Andrew Nemhart. Here’s Donovan Mitchell working on Nemhart. We approach the two-minute mark of the second quarter. Levert squares up on Hallebertton. The former Pacer stops, steals to Allen. Allen takes a dribble. He flicked it up and in. He got his arm grabbed. I don’t know how he didn’t get a foul called on that. Nice job by Jared Allen being strong with that basketball play. He got his right arm grabbed. I thought Allen’s done. Let’s pitch wide against some of the fastest and biggest dudes. Kind of snapped a little bit on the planet out there. Pressure. Pressure does crazy things to people, man. Alen, pressure does crazy things. Garland stops. Garland fires. Garland got decked. We play on. A down by eight. 90 seconds to go in the first half. He ran head long and then Mitchan gets called for an offensive foul. Ben may have There you have it. 59% was the overall overturn rate on out of bounds plays. The success rate was 79%. On goalending, basket interference call. Do it 30 seconds. It’s done. Replay sir. Do it for me. The coach’s challenge is unsuccessful. Garland a pretty move there. He’ll go to Moley and the Cavaliers have opened up a 10-point lead in the waning minutes of the second quarter. Garland, we talk about him, you know, the OKC games, well, of Toronto. I just when he has that basketball, he he’s just got you. And it’s very rare, but he can do anything he wants. There’s nothing you can do. You can’t stop him. It just makes him so hard because that ball keeps moving. Garland was just brilliant here against Toronto. Sensational. put this team on his back as Donovan Mitchell scoops it up and scoops it in. Seakum by the way who hit that last time down has been held to just two for eight from the field through two quarters. Yeah, done a good job defensively overall as you know after having a little bit of a malayise there. They’ve come up back and defended very well getting no second chance opportunities for Indiana football. This a top 10 pacer team in terms of offensive rating as Donovan Mitchell cans a three. And they’ve been held to 40 points here in this first half as that Mitchell triple gives the Cavaliers their largest lead. Yeah, nice to see that. Donovan’s getting that little rhythm back. Good looking form, getting his feet under. Good balance, shooting that basketball off of good balance is key for Donovan Mitchell. Allebertton has that batted by an active Mitchell. The Cavalier run is 112. Exactly the way you want to go into that locker room. looking for him. You know, he gets those feet square pointed at the goal. It’s automatic with Donovan. Whoa. Moly just blocked the Seakum three and Seak get the ball in inside. Continued to do that. That first quarter only had eight points in the paint. Got about 38%. Second quarter, you know, we had 16 points in the paint. Shoot 60%. So, it’s all relevant. Allen got fouled by putting the mindset to what needs to be done to make changes. These guys very coachable and that’s why you see such big nuns in the third quarter. Garland with a difficult jump stop in traffic. He converts. Opening minute third quarter. The Cavaliier lead is a dozen. Ziakob tries to use the size on Garland after the switch and he gets caught for a carry of this. Well, you can’t do that after you pick the ball up. So, Donovan Mitchell missed his first six shots. He made his last four. He gets switched on to by Sheepard. He now misses that one wide left. Boy, he just creates so much space for himself. Big arms and shoulders and Mathan zigzags his way to the foul line. He looks for an opening. He’ll hang and score. Math scored just two points in the first half as the Cavs really did a number on the Pacer regulars only the Pacers to only 40 first half points. Garland takes his time. Ziaken was leading the wrong way. A brilliant move by Darius Garland. [Music] Nemar around the horn finds Matan. Matan gets picked up by Wade. Deals to Siaka. Seaka tries to run right through Moley. They’ll have to send it back to Turner. Now off to Matan. Math tries to draw a foul on Wade. Nothing doing. And Wade rebounds. Really good defense by the Cavaliers. No one going for ball fakes. Everybody staying down, moving with that basketball move, getting into the right defensive position. Cheryl drill defensively. Nice job. Garland’s three goes in and out. Garland’s coming off a 40point performance against Toronto as Shepard steps back. Then he comes out here. Brad Garland dishes out seven assists in the first half. Scores a modest eight points. Doesn’t take a lot of shots from the field as Moy took a chop from Matan. Will he get continuation? He will. It offensively. What’s he do? He plays distributor here. It’s been a team game. It’s been like that for everybody this Yeah. That’s just the type of guys we got. They’re all very unselfish basketball players. the end of the day they want to win the game and that’s what we’re we’re trying to accomplish and let’s you know everybody can hide from it do whatever they want these guys want to win it all if you’re going to do that you have to continue to get better and you got to do it together Cavs have forced a number of ugly pacer shots here to start this really have defending well Mitchell has that knocked away by Seakkum off Mitchell’s leg it goes and out of bounds this league represents the Cavaliers largest of the evening Cavs are looking for their 13th consecutive victory. That’s the Cavs first turnover since way back in the first quarter. How do you outscore the Pacers as Mat fires a three? That’s good. How do you outscore this team? 3419 in the second. Well, you don’t turn the ball over. Zero turnovers in the second quarter. That’s just outstanding. Mitchell slides one over to Wade. Mitchell, good play to bat that out to Moy and the Cavs reset. Moley on the bounce in towards Seakum. That floater doesn’t go. Moley has 14 points and seven rebounds. He’s the high man in the scoring department here tonight as once again Seakum is pestered by Garland. From the top it goes to Seakkum. Allen’s there. Seakum sneaks onto the other side of the rim and he banks it in. Good help by Jared Allen there. Good defense by Daryus Garland. Seakkum just was not going to be denied there. Good job on his part of playing through that play. Cavs were all over him. It’s a 10-point game. Garland plays catch with Mitchell up top. He’ll now wait for an Allen screen. Garland works inside. Shepard. Dumps off to Allen. Allen short armed. Demhard hangs in the air. Dry to find Mat. That was picked off cleanly by Mitchell. Out he comes the other way. Donovan in toward Turner. finds Wade. Allen bats at it. Turner collects hard once again looks to cross over Mobley and he got it to go. Credit the Pacers. They battled back and cut this Cavaliier lead to eight. Yeah, veteran basketball club. They’re not going away. So, the mistakes you make, they take advantage of that. So, Cavs going to do a better job of really taking care of that basketball. Another turnover. Shepard back to Mat Timeout Cavs year. I thought he was six man of the year and now he’s just continued it on and yeah just whatever you ask him to do he does it in such a big way. Seakob strips Max [Music] Struce. The Cavaliers were clean in terms of turnovers in the second quarter. The turn the Cavaliers over a number of times here early in the third. But Carly will do this. He’ll throw in some fullcourt presses throughout the course of the game to mix things up for this Pacer defense. Yeah, it’s really unique. You don’t see many fullourt presses in the NBA and it definitely throws the team off. They’re doing a good job of extending their defense though just in general trying to make sure make it difficult giving us any free lanes to run. Siaka the momentum has shifted to the Pacers as a piece of eight in the league. They’re modestly better. Uh-oh. This season as Garland got tripped by Sheepard. This man Ben Shepard who was picked 26th overall in 2023. You have an illegal screen called caught on the Cavs. I think Daryus Garland gave Shepard a little shove there. She’s getting really aggressive with Dar. Second. Acers have trimmed the Cavaliier lead to two. Spruce almost had it. He had him ricochet off his chest. Seakum gets a running start at Wade.
