The Warriors drop game two to the Minnesota Timberwolves 117-94 in a game that wasn’t all too competitive throughout, but Golden State did make a surge in that third quarter to cut the lead to seven. And they made the Timberwolves work to get this win. And honestly, after stealing game one on the road, that is the a positive sign for Golden State moving forward. Look, they have to get one of these next two in Golden State to feel comfortable with a Steph Curry return late in this series. Overall, there isn’t much to draw from this game. Big picture, we know that Golden State cannot generate offense when Curry is not on the floor, and that rang true tonight. He failed to hit 100 points, but there were a couple bright spots. Jonathan Kaminga played pretty well. He started the game seven of seven from the field, and there was a welcome sign to him to see him feel a little bit more comfortable in this Warriors lineup. But at the end of the day, Golden State loses by 23 and they’re going to have an uphill battle every time they play another game without Stephen Curry on the floor.
