Kendrick Perkins believes Pat Riley’s time with the Miami Heat is UP 😳 | NBA Today

The Miami Heat, they were swept in the first round. They lost those games by a combined 122 points. It was the most lopsided series in NBA history. And now an off season of questions is underway for the first time since the playoffs. Pat Riley, he spoke with reporters earlier today. How many of you were born after I got here? Raise your hands. Higher. One, two, three, four, five, six. Oh, these are the oldies over here. So, do we inject an alpha, a great great great player? And so, when we talk about alphas, I’m talking about players. I’m talking about stars. I’m talking about talent. And if that talent can help and he’s humble, then fine. 80 years old, Pat Riley, not going anywhere. Perk, but he’s talking about stars. So, let’s get into it. Who fits that description for Miami? Nobody. Nobody. This is a players league now and we see that and it’s past it’s pass past Riley’s time like with the Miami Heat. You just go over the past decade. We look at what happened with with with Dwayne Wade towards the end of his career, right? You even look before that with LeBron and then all of a sudden with Jimmy, like what star superstar player wants to go and and go over there in Miami and have to deal with Pat Riley? Like right now we living in a in a in today’s game where the superstars are actually running the organization. Yeah. Right. Like and that’s real. They having conversations with the general manager about what’s the next steps, who need to be the coach, what pieces do I need? Yeah. But I mean for me, I think that you’re not going to see the old school ways like the San Antonio with the David Robinsons and the Tim Duncans where you have a humble superstar like that. But there’s only one person that comes to mind that could possibly fit that and that’s that’s Giannis. fit. He seems like a more humble superstar. Really wants to work. He cares, competes, and seems like him and Pat Riley could have rel, you know, obviously him and Tyler Herro possibly, but he could be the star of it. He could be an alpha, but that’s all speculation and like, do we have to see if Giannis wants to leave? I don’t even know if he wants to leave Milwaukee or not, but he’s the only person I can think of. But in today’s league, that is a that’s a big ask. Yeah. And that those are going to be the questions. Humble superstar is a big ask. Yeah, those are going to be the questions for a couple of weeks from now. Uh, but today it’s Friday, so let’s have some fun. It’s our hit game that we haven’t played in close to a month, actually. Who said that? We’re going to take a look at the quotes that caught our attention and ask our esteemed contestants who said that. Sound good? All right, here are the standings. Danny, you’re almost there. You the most makes without a miss. Just like your NBA career, you are just putting them up there. Eventually, you’re going to make our leaderboard. Um, perk, since you’re still at the top, this first one is for you, my friend. Being in the zone is spiritual. It’s just you and that rim and that ball. Sometimes you put up anything and it just goes in. Was it Jamal Murray? Was it Buddy Healed? Or was it Tyrese Hallebertton? First of all, that’s that’s not something that Tyrese Hallebertton will say. Okay. Jamal Murray, we don’t even hear him talk that much. Okay. So, I’m going with Buddy Hill on this one. Buddy heel on this one. Buddy heel. Come on now. Come on now. Fight at the top of the leader board. Yeah. Zone is very spiritual. You know, it’s just you and that that that rim and that in the ball. Sometimes you put anything up and just goes in. It’s a heck of an outfit, too. You said it a lot differently than the way he said it. It sounded better cover. It sounded a better cover for him. I think more confident. Yeah. I’ll have to work on that. All right, Danny. This one’s for you. I’ll try to say it with confidence. I like watching him bleed on Thank you. I appreciate you guys making this easy for me. Tom Tibido, Missoula, or Ema Udoka. This one is too easy. These are all hard-nose coaches. I love the way Eay and Tibs coaching, but Joe is the guy. He He wants fight. So, this is Joe Missoula. This is an easy one. That was That was too easy. We got to We got to step it up there for Danny. We’re making it too easy. That’s why he’s getting got me in the race. Got five. I like watching him bleed on the court. I think it’s important. Joe Mazula’s delivery, his comedic timing. I’m not even sure he would say it’s comedic. I know he probably would say it isn’t, but it is it makes me laugh and I appreciate it. Uh, we’re glad that Chris Porzingis is okay. All right, Perk, back to you. Who said this about Kawaii? He’s a champion. He’s a special player. He’s definitely a unique player. If I’m in this skin, I would definitely not give a damn. Was it James Harden, Draymond Green, or was it Nicole Joic? I think I think I know this one, too. I think it’s Jokic. Was it Nicola Joic? I’m going to go with What did you think? I would say Oh, you got a great one. Goku’s been talking a lot, man. I don’t give a damn. He’s a special player. He’s definitely unique player. If I’m an ASO skin, I will definitely not give a damn. See, I didn’t deliver. If I deliver it like that, then I think you would have guessed it was deliver like would say, I don’t give a damn. It was. Yeah, I didn’t deliver like that. He said, I don’t give a damn. Damn. All right, Danny, last one is for you. All right. Who said this? Quote, “One thing about Riyals, he doesn’t give a bleep about nothing. If it ain’t about the heat shield and covering the heat culture, he doesn’t care. Jimmy Butler, Alonzo Morning, LeBron J. I don’t know. I know it’s not Jimmy. It’s between Zo and Braun. So, which one is it? I’m going to go with Zo. I’m going to go Alonzo. Ah. Oh, Danny, it was a good run. It was a good run. You almost don’t give a about nothing. If it ain’t about that heat shield and covering that heat culture, he don’t. Yeah, definitely. Brown on the Pat McAfee show that it’s I’m going to need to work on my delivery. I guess that’s what would have given it away. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause]

  1. I watch your channel with pleasure. Your videos are an inexhaustible source of engaging content.🦎☝️🌗

  2. Thank you so much for the variety of content. Your videos always skillfully transport the viewer into interesting worlds.🟩🏆🧲

  3. I’m Heat fan from the beginning but it’s time for Pat to retire , he is out of touch with today’s players. Our local media is too close to Heat’s front office and Pat. Pat and Jimmy both at fault but media blame Jimmy. He was bad boy but I would have done the same thing to get my money. Yes Pat is Godfather and he tried to muscle Jimmy and he stood his ground.
    It’s a new world.

  4. This goof Pat Riley wants to build around Tyler herro, the heat got swept in the first round and lost by 50, CLEAN HOUSE, you got nba players looking at herro as food , he couldn’t even score 10 points in a close out game, and doesn’t play defense

  5. Not going to talk smack about Pat Riley. The guy is a legend as a coach and executive. But the man is now 80-years-old. He’s in the twilight of his career and I don’t think he’ll keep his position as owner for much longer. I think he’ll retire.

  6. Baked Tater Perk, also a very bigoted person!! he was the one call out the mvp vote for Embiid, when that blew up in his face, as Embiid was in reality Ben Simmons Sr.. What Owner Cares About Him Or His opinion.. Boston Banned Him, He And All Time Playoff Loser Doc Rivers Made A Career Out Of That 08 Championship..

  7. The Heat have won more titles since Pat took over in 1995 than 22 of the 30 teams in the ENTIRE history of their respective franchises. He can leave when he feels like it because he's earned that right.

  8. People forget whole bunch of stars wanted to Miami. Its the trades that didn't work out. Its always 2 sides that have to agree.

  9. Why are yall runninng with this fake narrative that no one wants to play for miami? Ja morant wants to play for miami, Dame was kicking and screaming to get to the heat, miami was Beal's first choice. Stop now

  10. It seems like the Heat want to be in the playoffs to the extreme, but right now they are getting waxed like some chumps. Will it ever stop? I don’t know; but with the right superstar, or with a couple of very solid pieces, they once again can light up the stage.

  11. U gotta be militant to play for the heat , if ur goofy or moan when u breathe then nah ofc not
