down and finish. The Warriors are the better offensive rebounding team. Step to Draymond. Perfectly delivered. That’s involving Goar. They ran the pick the picker and Steph set a back screen first and then got a screen. Got a little separation off of that action. Looking for Ka Go. He does. Did you see Steph take a beat there and throw a ball face right back here gets the the screen down. Two defenders jump at him, including Draymond’s man. Make the pocket pass. Shot clock goes on. Lee beat the buzzer. This is the time for them to go inside without Bear in there. Lily, Steph Curry on your own. Setting higher screens on McDaniels. Step out. Here we go. Little Curry flurries. He’s got 12 step happening in the corner in around Goar for the main three. the attacking jumper. I’m telling you, the steal, the assist, and now back to mid, back to back made baskets. And just something about the way the game flows. Go on a rear post up on step big to big passing blocks and they make it pay off. Draymond scattered break three. That’s Draymond and Steph Curry. Mental telepathy. No, it’s on Draymond where the help definitely wasn’t going to be. That’s the problem with Anthony Edwards. You don’t want to get too close or he’ll blow by you as Kaminga rides up and hits a mid-range. They really need him to get going again. He’s got eight points. Hurry on the scatter. He just beat Anthony back and lean in and clever move. That’s footwork. Fully bald and footwork to finish off a made basket. GP2 gets a layup right back. GP2 has made up his mind. He’s just going to sprint to the floor. Dave McDaniels is a great defender and Curry is still got 21 tonight as he blocks. They’re moving. There’s no way I can get around and then play Draymond in the middle. Moved the ball around, find the open man shot clock at one beat the buzzer and put it in. That was interesting cuz JK told GP2 to go take the split action decision-m responsibilities. I’ll be on the weak side if you guys need me. And once he got it, he was ready. Kaminga has to be. She loves it. Step floater. Rooney kept it alive and knocked it in. That’s 19 second chance points again. He gathered and hammered. GP2 took it away. GP2 in the foot race. TP2 laying it up and in and will send him in the back. What a silly foul and an opportunity for three-point play. Draymond and Warrior ball. That’s why you need Draymond Green in the game for three. Six-point lead in the ball. Draymond down the lane. Exclamation point. And he went night himself. He’s doing the night. Yeah, skip. Heat. Heat. N. Get you. of approach has been going here so far for Minnesota. They’re hot shooting from long distance has been the key. Spacing the floor and rising up with that confidence. And you also have to love the way they’ve gotten out in run in transition. A ton of good chances tonight simply from being willing to run the floor. Curry and Pods make they come to back court. Jonathan Kaminga is out there with Butler and it’s Moody in at the small forward position. That’s the Warriors five. Boy, at his best, Jimmy Butler is a versatile scorer inside and outside, but what I will most remember him for is competitive toughness. Now, here’s Edwards and he’s got 28 now. connects on a 17-footer. Edwards got 12 points here in the second half. Yeah, he’s been having his way this quarter, attacking the basket and protecting their lead. Outside Curry. Oh, Curry just weaving his way through traffic. Still knocks it in. One of the most special players offensively in the history of the game. Stephen Curry cooking right now. Here’s Edwards. Domingo pulls it in. Warriors trail by six. Pass to Pajimski. Outside Moody. Here’s Butler defended by Goar. Moody from outside. Good. And Butler gets the assist. Butler’s got three assists in the game. Now Jimmy Butler is an selfish teammate. This guy loves to get his teammates involved. Now here’s Edwards. Launches it. Oh, Edwards. Money on the triple. Clutch buckets. He’s paving the way as they hit the home stretch. Outside Kaminga. Curry against Connley. Shot on the wing and again it’s Golden State. Very difficult to keep the ball out of Stephen Curry’s hands because of all his moving. He can shoot from anywhere and right now the defense has no answer. Now here’s Connley. 12 points for him. Outside Reed fires the three. But Jimsky grabs the board. Well, after hitting one triple in the first half, it’s been all radio silence since. Kaminga finds Curry. Another three for Golden State. He’s hit four now from behind the York. Two in each half. Making an impact. And so Connley will bring it up for Minnesota. They lead by one. 156 left in the third. From deep. The Warriors pull it in. Look, I know he wanted to answer with a three of his own, but you got to play smarter. Play your game, not theirs. Now, here’s Pajki. He’s got 15. Kaminga with a screen on Reed. Furry passes to Kaminga. Just four to shoot for the lead. Another three for Golden State. When you let a team knock down that many threes, you know you’re likely to be on the wrong side of a run. This is why you want ball movement and player movement. And that’s made it hard for the defense to key in on any one individual. And Chris Finch calls timeout here. He wants to make sure everybody’s on the same page. And Minnesota with some changes. Clark comes in for Rudy Goar. And it’s Alexander Walker in for Conlin right side. Devent with a steal. Uh-oh. Kaminga on the tape and he drops in the layup off the glass and it’s a four-point Warrior lead. And what’s working here? Each guy is willing to make the next pass. Denzo against Peyton. Clark pass to Alexander Walker and the layup falls. Alexander Walker’s gotten his first bucket of the night. Keeping pace here. That’s an excellent move inside. Pass to post. Here’s Butler. Back to Kaminga. Fires the three. And a great assist by Butler as that one goes. Butler’s got four assists now tonight. This defense is getting spaced out. Three of the last five buckets have come from way beyond the arc. It’s a 4second differential between the shot clock and game clock. Butler against Clark. Here’s Pass to Alexander Walker. Clark outside off target with the three with one on the clock. Unable to get that one. Stephen Curry getting it done for the Warriors. 25 points in counting for him. They have relied and a worthy candidate tonight as we take a look at our State Farm assist of the game. And he definitely deserves the award. reading the defense like a point guard. He’s got the size to survey over the top of the defense and find the open man. That was beautiful. And we’re back with you folks as this exciting Western Conference semi-final game rolls on. And a look now at the five for the Timberwolves to start the fourth quarter. We’ve got Dante Devenzo. He’s out there with Edwards. Nas Reed out there with Aquille Alexander Walker. And it’s Clark in at the fourman position. big. And that one falls for Curry. They’re really shooting better from the free throw line since halftime. That’s a big plus if you’re holding a late lead. Second free throw. No good. Boy, from the charity stripe, Stephen Curry will go down as one of the best to ever do it. One thing they’ve done well tonight, and that’s rebounding. Edwards gets the bucket. He’s done everything he can to give them a lift tonight, but it hasn’t been enough. Here’s Curry. And there’s a pick. Puts up a deep three. Alexander Walker grabs the board. And I’m surprised that didn’t go down. I mean, I’m sure he is, too. Edwards for three and again for three. And he’s letting it fly from long range to devastating effect and has now tied the franchise record for triples in a playoff game. To the middle. Here’s Kuminga. Kuminga soarses in for the slam. Man, he makes it look easy. Now that’s how you capitalize on a screen. Yeah, good positioning, too. Gave him a clear path to the hoop. Where was the defense? No fighting through the pit, no rotation. My goodness. The Warriors lead by three. Fourth quarter now. We’re about a minute and a half in. Pass the post to the inside. Pocket six. Here’s Kuminga. No luck on that one. Some solid defense from Edwards. Inside. Here’s Reed. And he was fouled while in the act of shooting. So he’ll take two free throws. Naz Reed understands how to play physically inside. Able to get a shot off despite the foul. All right, a look at how the points have been generated so far. A scoring breakdown for the Warriors. You got to admire how hard they’ve worked to get to the line. All game long. They’ve been going right into the defense and drawing foul after foul. I think the other thing we’re seeing tonight is the floor spacing of this team. Boy, they are shooting the cover off the basketball all game. That one misses. So he goes one for two. And they need to play good defense here. That trip to the line helped and hurt. And here’s Kamega for three. Countdown that one. He’s scoring at a nice clip. He’s six of nine tonight. Well, this guy flat out carrying the load for them offensively. He is taking and making good shots. What a terrific job. Clark with a screen on Curry for three. Devincenzo hits the trifecta. That’s how you up the ante. Come right back at him. And you would expect nothing less from these two. Taking pride and making plays. And they call an illegal screen here. You can get away with one once in a while, but it looked like he wasn’t completely set on that pick. I don’t think there’s any question. There are so many rules that favor the offense these days. You’ve got to be able to equal things out when an illegal screen is set. The Gimsky’s checked in for the Warriors. And the Timberwolves also making a change. Connley’s checked in. Outside Edwards. Anthony Edwards is a load to handle as a defender. This guy’s got the frame and the skill to make it very difficult. makes it. And the next one could tie it up. He does not get the second one. There is so much to love about Anthony Edwards. He is one of the most skilled young basketball players in the league, but he also happens to be quite charismatic. Now here’s Pensky covered by Alexander Walker. Second chance effort and post gets it to go and the Warriors lead by three. The defense getting out hustled on the putback. Can’t let that happen. You have got to put a body to somebody. talk about it ad nauseium, but you’ve got to be disciplined with the box out. Reed tipped back in for two. I love that kind of energy from Nas Reed. You don’t give up on a play. The Warriors have gotten three of seven attempts in this fourth quarter to fall. Now, Pajimki, here’s Post. Back to Curry from downtown. Curry rises up and hits the three. That’s his fifth triple of the night. Two in the first half, three in this one. Huge production outside. Edwards. Now here’s Clark outside. Connley. Pass to Reed. Lets the three fly. Yes. Great play by Connley to set it up. Reed’s got six here in the quarter. Well, after netting one in the first half, that’s the second deep ball to go down for this guy. Curry with it to the middle. Stolen by Reed. Edwards looking it over. Connley up top to take the lead. And the Timberwolves hit again from deep. After taking some time to find his rhythm, he’s been unstoppable since the break. Pass the post. A kick out. Curry beyond the arc. Another three for Golden State. He hit a couple from range in the first half, but now his confidence is through the roof. The Timberwolves trail. Here’s Edwards. Powerful finish by Edwards. This guy is so explosive. Anthony Edwards off the bounce. My goodness. And Steve Kerr calls timeout here. He wants their game plan to be crystal clear at this point. Green’s checked in for the Warriors. Butler comes in for Moody. Go’s checked in for Minnesota. Julius Randall comes in for Clark. And let’s send it over to Ally Leforce. During that break, coach Steve Kerr had some advice for the team. He seems pretty disappointed with the three-point shooting, telling his crew, “We have to start making more outside shots. I want us more threes out there. Let’s get aggressive.” Coach is hoping some big production can make a splash for them. Appreciate the report, Ally. Pass to Alexander Walker. Here’s Randle. Gome with a screen on Butler. Here’s Randle. Rebounded by Butler. Butler’s got his fifth rebound in this one. Now here’s Green and he’s going to the line for two. The official saw contact while he was going up. Rudy Goar picks one up. I don’t think you can help but admire what Draymond Green brings to the floor on a night-night basis. This guy plays with a giant chip and he wants his teammates to come with him. Free throw good. Green. Yeah. In terms of winners in NBA history, few have the resume of Draymond Green. Heels checked in for Kaminga. McDaniels is checked in for the Timberwolves. Both shots good from the strike. It’s Connelly with the ball for Minnesota. Pass to Go. The kick out to Edwards. No good from outside. The Warriors have got five out of 10 shots to drop here in the final quarter. Now here’s Pajki. Not a lot of room on the wing. Green. Knocks it loose. Stolen by Connley for three. Randall. Yet another assist. This is the best someone could run an offense. pinpoint passes everyone involved. Every time he touches the ball, great things happen. And he’s now tied for the franchise record for assist in a game. A masterful performance. Pass to Curry. Fires from way outside. Gets rebounded by Minnesota. Randle’s got six rebounds in the game. Here’s Edwards. The basket drops. Hy gets fouled on the shot. One free throw coming his way. More points coming from inside. In that respect, they’ve been the more aggressive team. And whatever they discuss at halftime, he’s come out more assertive and more aggressive outside. Butler back to Curry. The three is up. Good. And Butler gets the assist. Butler’s got five assists in the game. It’s obvious he’s taking it upon himself to try and keep them alive. Conley passes to Edwards. to the paint. Go inside. Green ring covering. It used to be a smart play to foul Rudy Gobear because he struggled from the free throw line. This guy’s so much better now. And that one falls for Goar. That’s also good. So, he hits both free throws. Well, we know Rudy Goar is going to go down as not only one of the greatest defenders of his generation, but of all time. Just look at the number of times this guy has won defensive player of the year. He is a force to be reckoned with. Butler finds Curry. Green a screen. Curry against Connley. Shot is good by Curry. Curry’s got 37. I’ll tell you, despite this guy’s strong play in this period, they’re still behind. Someone else has got to step up. Pass to McDaniels. Let’s go with a three. Rebounded by Green. And you just can’t afford to give up that kind of look very often. On the wing. Curry defended by Goar. No good from 11 ft. And you know they were praying for that one to go down. Let’s prove a time. Fourth quarter. Don’t get it done now. No more chances. And this is exactly who you want taking that shot. He just missed it. Green with a screen on Connley. Not watching the line there. That’ll be a backourt violation. Boy, that’s the last thing they needed this game. Too close to be making those kinds of errors. Here’s Edwards. Randall outside. Back to Edwards. The three connects again from distance. And talk about stepping up. He’s having a playoff game these fans have never seen. And that last triple means he’s got the most threes in a single playoff game in franchise history. Heel for three. Ooh, coming through again. Shooting five for seven now. No hesitation whatsoever from Buddy Heel. That is a big time delivery. And here’s Edwards. It’s good. Edwards. What strength? Anthony Edwards relishes big time moments and he delivers right there. Here’s Curry. And the Warriors tack on two more. One of the best ever at embracing big moments. Step up to the challenge. Takes a step back. He hits the first one and that makes it a three-point lead. Well, we know Edwards has an impressive skill set, but what really separates him is the competitive edge that he plays with. He’s off on the free throw. Unable to get the second one to drop. Another miss. Boy, they have their chance there. Couldn’t get it to go. It’s Pimsky on the wing. McDaniels covering pass to Green outside. Curry. Shot clock at five. Draymond. Oh, such a force inside. Of this we know. Draymond Green does not lack for confidence. Big time shot there. Here’s Edwards and it’s good. He hits another one. Talk about coming up huge. What a performance. He’s nearing the franchise record for most points in a playoff game. Man, this guy is clutch. There’s the AT&T 5G slam cam capturing the moment. And a deep free from Curry. Pat misses. And a chance to tie it. McDaniels against Heel. Randle outside. Pass to Edwards. 43 seconds left in the fourth. We know this about Anthony Edwards. He is fearless in these moments. That’s a big time clutch delivery. And Steve Kerr calls timeout, looking to get everyone dialed in and engaged. The baseline J. Here’s Butler. Connelly with some nice D. This is their chance to stretch the lead, Grant. Yeah, it’s a must. They have to execute and avoid the big mistake. And they go to the intentional foul. He drops the first one and that increases the lead to six. So he goes two for two at the line and it’s a seven-point game. Well, just knocking them down from the charity stripe, extending the lead. Simple basketball. Golden State calls timeout. 26 seconds left in the fourth quarter here. Curry looking it over. McDaniels with the rebound.
