NBA LIVE! Golden State Warriors vs Minnesota Timberwolves GAME 4 LIVE | May 13, 2025 | WCSF 2K25

Make it. Heat. Heat. N. is can’t do that. Heat. Heat. Hey, winning it. Heat. Heat. N. Heat. Hey, Heat. Heat. Heat. N. Heat. Heat. N. Yeah, thank you. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. N. on the court for Minnesota. They’ve got Reed, Anthony Edwards out there with Dante Devenza. Then it’s Nil Alexander Walker and it’s Garza in at the five spot and Kaminga gets it to go. Kaminga’s got the lead up to six now for the Warriors. With his finesse and his power, Kaminga can make it real tough inside. Here’s Edwards gets rebounded by Golden State. and tried to show off just a little bit there, but ultimately uh didn’t work out. You know, he’s going to get a few stairs from his coaching staff and probably his teammates in the next huddle. The Timberwolves making a switch here. Miller’s checked in. Second quarter of action about a minute and a half played. Puts up a three. Look at Edwards slotting home the three. And you have to stay up on Edwards out there, which is dangerous because he’s so good at going right around. Curry passes to Payton. Even Jenzo against Curry and the layup falls. Curry’s got six. Not a lot of resistance on the inside and they’re taking full advantage. Oh, here’s Edwards. Defended by Moody. Edwards can’t hit. Hate to say it, but if they’re still trailing at the final buzzer, a lot of this is going to be felt by him. His shooting tonight has just been atrocious. Now, here’s Curry. He has six. Out to the right wing. Shot clock at six. Here’s Moody. Off target there with a little leaner. Timberlenzo kicks to Edwards over Moody. Edwards shot is good. He has five. And that’s what they’re looking for from Edwards. Scoring from all areas of the court. Even mid-range keeps the defense honest. Now here’s Payton. Scoreless thus far. It’s three outside. That’s in. Coming off an assist from Payton. And the Warriors lead by six. That’s a high percentage look when the D doesn’t fight over the screen. And the coach over there just asking for one simple thing and that’s some effort. Got burned on that one. Alexander Walker. That’s basket number two with his third shot. Off to a fast two for three. That’s just tremendous scoring instinct. So fun to watch him work in the half court. Curry outside. Miller grabs the miss. And you don’t want to give up that kind of look too often. Right side. Edwards. Can’t hit from in close. Just not much success when it comes to shooting. Floats it up for Kaminga. Tries from 16. That’s good. And the Warrior lead is cut down to just two points with the bucket from Edwards. Yeah, this story in the second quarter much different than the one in the first. We’re finally seeing some aggression. Here’s Moody outside. Curry launches it and the Warriors miss again. Not sure why he keeps trying as well here. It’s just not his Miller. The pass to Alexander Walker. Reed with a screen on Kaminga and they call an illegal screen here. And that’s the tough part of trying to keep him on the floor. Now he picks up that third foul. Green, he’s checked in for the Warriors. PJMski’s coming in for Payton. Rudy Gobear, he’s checked in for the Timberwolves. Mike Connley comes in for Alexander Walker. Now here’s Curry. He’s got nine. Green the screen. L the tray. Oh, Curry so accurate from three-point range. Well, that’s two bombs in a row from long range. Pass to Devenenzo over to the left wing. And here’s Edwards from the AR. Green with the rebound. Green’s got his fourth rebound in this one. Banked in off the glass and now a seven-point Warrior lead. A tough tough shot from Draymond Green. But he brings this out of his squad and frustrates the opponent. Finally, the pass to Reed. The Timberwolves again can’t hit. The Warriors have gotten just over 50% of their shots to drop here in the second quarter. They’re five for nine. Yeah, the defender all over. The Warriors have made three of their first five foul shots tonight. And he makes the first. Jimmy Butler. He’s checked in for Golden State. And then for Minnesota, Randle’s checked in for Reed. And it’s McDaniels in for Edwards. Mooney has them both. No wasted trips at all. They’re taking care of business at the line. Guys are looking for a spark here. Yeah, a cold stretch offensively for sure. And we’ve got a timeout called from Chris Finch. He wants a minute here to get things straightened out with this team. Heels checked in for Moody. On defense, the Warriors. They lead by their biggest margin of the game, nine. Connley finds Goar. Randall with the ball. They need this. And Randall throws it down. And it feels like Randall is taking ownership on the offensive end right now. Playing intense and fighting for buckets in the corner. It’s healed. Back to Curry. Six to shoot. Nine ft out. Curry gets inside and lays it in. Just how awesome is it to watch the best of the best start to dominate in a game. Now here’s the Jenzo and foul on the shot. So he’ll get a chance at the line. That’s pretty tenacious. Devincenzo just taking that intense defense and sort of stepping aside. This is his first trip to the line tonight. And the first one drops and getting to the line and hitting your free throws. a good way to get back into the game. It stops the clock and extends the game and allows you the opportunity to set your defense. They’ve been perfect from the line so far here in the second quarter. That one misses Venenzo coming into the lead wanting to prove that he belongs. He’s done more than that. It’s about building his confidence. Now trains the three-pointer and Roee has gotten a little bit laxed here defending the triple. Connley dishes to Randall. Pass to Deenzo. Back to Randall and stolen by Butler. Now Pajimski. Minnesota with the rebound. Go Bear’s got four rebounds in this game. during his breakout season with the Knicks. Julius Randle, I think, has another level to his game. It’s about that consistency he’s trying to get to. He’s an allNBA caliber player when he gets it going. And now we’ll get a perspective here on how the hustle game has been going for the Warriors. They’re really mucking things up for the opposition, racking up steel after steel, just not letting them develop any kind of offensive rhythm. The tally on the offensive rebounds right now has been really impressive. They’ve just been in the right spot at the right time and getting those put backs. First free throw is good. The Warriors making a switch here. Kaminga checked in. Alexander Walker, he’s checked in for Minnesota. and that one goes in. Two from the line that time. Warriors leading by nine. And here is heel. Still scoreless. Green with a screen on combo. Now Pajimski. Conley grabs the miss. And outside pass to McDaniels. It’s stolen by Kaminga. And here we go. It’s Butler. Ah. Butler finishing at the other end. Kind of fun when you have a fast break where guys want to join you. And Jimmy Butler, he’s a member of the party. Fandle with a screen for Connley. Driving inside. Go against Green. Pocket four. And Goar kicks to McDaniels. Shoots over Kaminga. Misses off the right eye. Golden State’s gotten half their shots from three-point range to go down to the second quarter. Three of six from downtown. And this is the type of scorer that Jimmy Butler can be, especially when he’s getting to his spots. And we got a timeout called from Chris Finch. He wants to talk to his guys. And coach can’t be happy. And and I think I know why. Their defense putting up no resistance inside. No, they’re not preventing them from scoring. And if you can get to a high efficiency shot on the floor, and that’s the paint, you just keep going. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Here’s Alexander Walker. He’s got five. Go down low. He’s against Green. Pass to Alexander Walker beyond the arc. Kills it from outside. Alexander Walker’s got five points now this quarter. And he found the perfect spot behind the arc there. Big gap in the deep down low. Here’s heel. Back to Pajki. Jacks up a three. Counting his second make in four attempts. And they’ve done a great job knocking down those long range shots here in the second. Shooting just over 40% from downtown. Now here is Connley. Hasn’t made one yet. Go hit. And here’s Green. He’ll bring it up for the Warriors. Ajeky on the wing. Butler against Randall. Card earned by Butler. Defense had the right idea there, but maybe not enough time in the weight room. Butler right through that. Now here’s Connley. McDaniels gets a wide open look off target from outside. Here’s Butler. Good from the moment it left his hand. That makes him 10 for 14. And there’s a pattern starting to take shape here. They’re working it inside and getting good shots from close range. Conlay the pass to Randall and Brandon Pajki gets the whistle that time. That’s foul number two for him. That’s his second foul, but not the end of the world. One more before halftime, though. That would change some things. Clark, he’s checked in for Nquille Alexander Walker. There’s a minute 40 left in the second quarter. Go Bear with a screen on Kaminga. Will it go? A nice shot by McDaniels. McDaniels got his first three points of the game. And you’re asking for more trouble than you can handle if you’re going to let him just roam free from beyond the arc to the middle. Poke loose. Now here’s Connley. The fast break opportunity and easy two points on the layup. Connley has got his first basket of the night. And how about the speed of Mike Connley there in transition. He explodes up the court to ensure they convert on that fast break. Now here’s Butler. 21 points in the game. Randall grabs the board. Randle’s got five rebounds tonight. Pass to McDaniels. Butler against Randall. Go Bear with a screen on Butler. Randall down low. Some solid defense from Butler. Man, I thought he was making that in so close. That’s some aggressive defense. Pajki with it inside trying to find heel and gets it to him and the Warriors miss again. McDaniels in the post covered by Heel. The Timberwolves have been shooting right around 75% at the line. Nine of 12 so far. The first one falls. The Warriors making a switch here. And good on the second. So he makes them both. At this point, you might as well go ahead and chalk up the points when he’s at the free throw line. Pretty much automatic. Here’s Butler. Look at the attack of Butler in the lane. And obviously his momentum from the last game has carried over here tonight. Yeah, the coach pretty smart for zoning in on him and giving him opportunities to stay with that confident play. And the first half is now in the books. Warriors lead by 12. We’ll see you after halftime for the beginning of the third quarter. Heat. Heat. Well, you look at all the assisted buckets. I like how they’re working together. Ball movement and selfless play can be infectious. Excuse me. Are infectious and contagious the same thing? Uh, you’re the doctor. Looking at the series breakdown for the Warriors. A dream start. Two wins on the road and now a chance to go up three zip at home. Well, they’re definitely sitting in a good place, but they got to watch their backs. Yeah. Over. And that is a wrap. Now, let’s send you back to Kevin Harland for the start of the third quarter. And we welcome you back to 2K Sports coverage of the Western Conference semifinals. We are seeing a tremendous game from Jimmy Butler. with so much on the line tonight, you have to be impressed with the way he came out and set the tone with his aggression. Yeah, the rest of the team seemed to line right up behind him, matching that kind of intensity and looking for him to come through with some big plays. Warriors leading by 12. In the back court, we’ll see Curry and Pajki. Jimmy Butler is out there with Draymond Green and it’s healed and it’s a three. The small four. So that’s the group out there for Golden State. Now McDaniels after the missed three from Stephen Curry. McDaniels passes to Go and finish off by Goar and the slam. If Rudy gets that ball anywhere near the rim, he is going to finish it. It’s three outside. rebound. Minnesota and you could tell he thought that triple was going to fall. Conley with it for three. Edwards. And that one falls coming off Connley’s feet. Connley’s got three assists in the game. About one minute played here in the second half. Curry with the bounce pass. Green with a screen for Butler. Six on the shot clock and good that time. Butler’s got 25 points. I like Butler down low fighting for points. Conley gets to Randle. Back to Conley for three. Edwards. The Warriors pull it in. Butler’s got his fifth rebound in this one. Pass to Heel outside Green. Now Kirk and a miss there on the triple. Yeah, they’re going to try to search out for somebody that’s got a hot hand right now. One of four to start the half. Now here’s Connley guarded by Curry. And here’s Edwards from the arc. Head shot off. Warriors leading by nine. Outside Green. Pass to Curry. Anthony Edwards with the rebound. Maybe a time to rest him right now. Just give him a bit of a breather. Try to help him get back on track. And the shot goes in. And he’s been a terrific point guard in this league for a long time. Mike Connley just knows how to play. healed outside. Butler up top. He’s defended by Randall. And these are his second and third free throws tonight. The free throw drop for Butler. Butler gives you so much toughness and determination. This guy can really impact what the culture of your team is all about. And so Butler nails both of them. A touch over two and a half minutes of basketball played here in the third quarter. Here is Connley. He’s gone two for two at the line so far. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. The free throw drops for McDaniels. Jonathan Kaminga. He’s checked in for the Warriors. So he hits one of two from the strike. And so it’s Butler with it. He’ll bring it up for Golden State. 17 points was their biggest margin. Here’s Randall. Good for basket number six from him in the contest. He’s shooting six for 12. Yeah, Randle does a good job. His frame alone helps to create some space just with a little pivot there. Able to find a way to score. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. And coach has decided they need a moment to talk things over. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Kaminga dishes to Green. floats it up for Kaminga. An emphatic LU jam. Oh, that’s impressive. Kaminga with the catch and the flush. The Royals trail by eight. Edwards has a stream for Edwards. Takes the three, hits it from three-point range. Edwards got six in the quarter. The defense is far too slow to close out on those three-point attempts. Pass to Pajimski. Butler feeling out a bit like six. It’s stolen by Goar Curry against. And here’s Edwards. with the second effort. Got to go that time. Great D that time from Green. Warriors leading by five. Curry pass it to Butler. Back to Curry. Over Connley. The put back. Great positioning on the put back. Oh, what terrific hustle. He’s got a nose for the rebound. Craig, he’s ferocious when the ball goes up. Connley against Curry. And here’s Goar. Here’s Edwards. Yes. And the foul against Stephen Curry. And he’s got more than a few ways to beat. Edwards will be aggressive when he has to initiate contact and create the N1 opportunities. Find the length. Find the length shot. Three throw good Edwards. And what you love about Edwards is how intense he is. Guy plays hard every minute he’s on the floor. Green with a screen on Edwards. Drives to the hoop. Shot by Pajki. No good. Yeah, can’t see why he missed that one there. The D’s close, but looks like plenty of room. Butler against Randle to McDaniels. Jo of the screen down to five on the shot clock. 20 ft out. Shot by McDaniels. No good. Well, they shouldn’t be giving that shot to anyone, but they certainly shouldn’t be giving it to him. That’s a big break for the defense. Yes, that goes in. Making the easy shots and the tough shots. He’s on top of his game. It’s Edwards on the wing and that’s out of bounds. Minnesota will retain possession. You love the pressure he’s putting on them. Almost had that steal. Yeah. Pestering right now and that’s going to pay some dividends. At some point there’s going to be a turnover. Dante Devenenzo. He’s checked in for Minnesota. Outside Edwards shoots over Kaminga. The Timberwolves again can’t hit. I I’d love to see them impose themselves a little more on the back floor. That’s a great way to find confidence. Always a surefire way to get back in the game. Now here’s Curry. 16 points for him. Curry crashes inside. That’s tough. Tough finish. Steph’s not just a great shooter, but really great numbers through the years as being an elite finisher. Conley finds Devenzo. Edwards against Kaminga and he could not get that one to go. Out of contact and he’ll go to the line for two and a chance for just a second now to check out the scoring breakdown for the Warriors. They’ve been playing some really physical offense just attacking the paint as much as possible. And I tell you what, they have been very successful with that strategy. You probably have to touch on as well that tonight their penetration has been awesome. I mean, they put force on this game attacking off the bounce and the willingness to do that has paid off. You throw good Edwards and that’s good as he gets both of his shots. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He’s ready to talk things through with the team. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. And so Curry will bring it up for the Warriors. 17 points was their biggest margin. Butler against Randle. Here’s Curry. Good. And Butler gets the assist. 20 points for Stephen Curry. Steph’s willing to hurt you from the mid-range. Look, if you’re going to be that open, he’s going to take a shot. Conley feeling it out. Count it. And the Warrior lead has been cut down now to just six. And the basket from Edwards. Now it feels like the other four guys have disappeared at this point. He wants to be the one to get them back. Pass to Pajki. And here is Green defended by Goar. Green inside. Go on him. Go with the block. And when Gobear is playing with this kind of aggression on that end, there aren’t many better at defending it. and perimeter scoring. I have to imagine it was a topic of discussion at halftime. Maybe trying to find a little bit more space and ball movement to get guys open at the three-point line. Back to Curry. Fires from deep and Curry comes right back with a three. And you would think a coach might have talked to his defense about making the adjustment on him, but right now he’s just lighting him up. Back to Conway. Iman Green with the rebound. Green’s got double digit rebounds now in the game now. Pajimski. He has six. Green in the post covered by Connley. Nails the baby hook and it’s an eight-point Warrior lead. Draymond did a good job of getting some space there and rooting himself to collect Shenzo the bounce pass and no good state’s gone 10 or four in three-point shots here in the third Curry against common right side Curry Green with a screen on six to shoot Curry kicks to Kaminga and it’s good with time running down on the shot clock. 11 points for Jonathan Kaminga. And of the last six baskets, five have come on the interior. This is just smashmouth physical basketball, guys. All the officials are all over that one. And this is his third trip to the Lions tonight. Shoot. First one falls for him. And just a better job of getting to the line here in the second half. Didn’t get there once in the first. Both teams will make substitutions. He doesn’t get the second one. Warriors leading by nine. Butler dishes to beat to the paint. Pass to post. Payton surveying the floor. Shoots over Deven Shenzo. Reed with the rebound. Ember’s trail by nine. Oh, here’s Edwards. He’s got 21. And this is Edwards game. When he’s aggressive and trying to score, it really puts a lot of pressure on the defense. And it’ll be his fourth time going to the free throw line of the game. Take break and he knocks down the first one. both good from the line that time. Warriors leading by seven. Payton with the ball. No scoring in this one. It’s stolen by Randall. And now Minnesota on the fast break. Here’s Devenenzo. That’s in coming off an assist from Randall. Randle’s got his fourth assist in this one. And so it’s Butler with it. He’ll bring it up for Golden State. 17 points was their biggest margin. He’s feeling it. That one off the back iron and out. Timberlender Walker passes to Randle. Back to Alexander Walker. Even Jenzo against Payton. Just four to shoot. Even Jenzo can’t hit it. Golden State’s gone one of four in three-point shots here in the third. Golden State moving the ball around. Back to Baiton. Rebound. Minnesota. Handle’s got six rebounds here tonight. Pass to Deven Shenzo. Here is Edwards defended by Butler. Butler against Edwards. The offensive rebound. Reed finds Alexander Walker. Misses the wing three. close to making the defense pay for the lack coverage that time. 7second difference shot and game clock. Kinga dishes to Butler. They need this one and that one drops for him. Butler’s got 31. And they’re really in a good position here thanks in part to the way he’s been able to score the basketball. Here is Edwards. over Moody and it’s good off the back of the rim and in. Edwards got 25 points in the game. Jimmy Butler has been on display for the Golden State Warriors and his big game just keeps getting bigger. That quarter sees him get over 30 points. Don’t go anywhere. We’ll be right back. And while we can now, let’s take a look at today’s State Farm assist of the game. And definitely deserving of the prize tonight. How about the read he made here? Looking like a point guard putting the pass right on the money. So helpful to the offensive versatility when your bigs can create, freeing everybody up. And that cut was wide open. And we’re back with you. All set to bring you more action from game three. So on the floor for Minnesota, we got Nas Reed, Dante D. Vincenzo. He’s out there with Edwards. Then it’s Nil Alexander Walker and it’s May not in at the fourth. Here’s Moody. Anthony Edwards making his last shot. outside curve and stolen by Jenzel. It’s Edwards on the wing. Shot from the low block. Back to Devenenzo. Pass to Alexander Walker. Second chance effort. That shot is off. Good D by Payton. We play just over one minute here in the fourth quarter. Curry looking it over. Shot clock at six. Charity stripe shot. Reed with the rebound. Reed’s got four rebounds now tonight. Edwards passing to Deenzo to tie it up. Oh my. He’ll go to the line with a chance for a fourpoint play. Sounds good. Jonathan Kaminga picks one up. What’s up? And that one misses. The Warriors shooting an outstanding 53% for the game. Payton up top defended by Devenenzo. Up top, Curry. Shoots over Alexander Walker. Curry’s shot is good. Curry’s got 11 in the second half. Just another day at the office for Steph Curry making this look easy. Outside Edwards and another three for Minnesota. And that was the right call. When you need a basket, go to the guys you trust the most. Yeah. Whether it’s teammates or the coaching staff. Hopefully a combination of both, but gets close. He’s getting the ball. Curry gets the bucket. Well, he now has four three-pointers this game, guys. Two in each half. He’s really spacing out the floor for his teammates. Now here’s Tenenzo D right on him. The Warriors lead outside. Kuminga pulls it in. Here’s Edwards. Edwards getting the close range two. And so Curry will bring it up for the Golden State Warriors. 17 points was their biggest margin. And here is Moody. Stolen. Right side. Edwards over Pete. And the rebound goes to the Warriors. And I was sure that was money on that one, but everyone is afforded an easy miss or two. Yeah, that happens. Important thing is for players, just don’t beat yourself up and make a miss like that cost you another play. We’ve played just over 3 and 1/2 minutes now in the fourth quarter. Edwards looking it over. Burries the long range jumper. Edwards got a couple of three-pointers now in the fourth for the Timberwolves. Curry against Steven Chenzo. The three out to Bon outside. Curry from outside the arch. The rebound by the Timberwolves. Reeves got his fifth rebound right now in the game to Devenzo. Back to Alexander Walker. A three off the mark. Four years have gone three of seven from the floor in the fourth. That’s a 42% mark in the quarter. Here’s Post. Peyton kicks to Kaminga. Here’s Post. Just five to shoot. Curry outside. Even Chenzo with the rebound. It’s been a struggle all night long from deep, but doesn’t seem like he’s lost his confidence. He’s still letting rip. And here’s Edwards from the arc. Gets rebounded by Golden State. Kaminga’s got four rebounds now tonight. Pass to post from downtown. Good for another bucket. He’s made half a dozen now. Six for eight on the night. Dominga hits enough of those to keep you honest. Even Jenzo against Curl. Here’s Edwards. Hands the shot from the wing. Edwards got 12 now in this quarter. Oh boy, the touch is coming back here in the second half. Percentages from the field. Much better than it was at the break. Here’s Curry with the three. The rebound by Edwards. Edwards got his fifth rebound right now in the game over Payton. Edwards good. Edwards got 39. Pretty easy right now. Clear out. Give him some space. Let him get to work. Knocks it loose. It’s stolen by Edwards. Even Jenzo with it and Curry picks him up defensively and it’s out of bounds. Last touch by Curry and so Chris Finch calls for the timeout. Clearly, he’s got something his players need to hear. And immediately It’s time now to hear from our Hall of Fame reporter, David Aldridge. What’s the latest, David? I was able to listen in on what Chris Finch told the team. Now, they’ve been happy with the way the team is shooting. He reminded players to keep taking those threes that they’ve had some clean looks. When that three goes in, it’s always a welcome sight, guys. Thanks, David. Edwards nailed from three-point land. Edwards got 42 in the game. And when he gets it going, this is what can happen. They need to think about the double team now. On the wing heel, here’s Curry with the three and Draymond Green picks up the foul. That’s his first foul. And you can just see his confidence is rising bucket after bucket from long range. Minnesota’s gone 4-6 from beyond the arc in the fourth quarter so far. Now, Draymond Green pulls it in. Green’s got the glass covered here tonight. 11 boards for him. Here’s PMski defended by Go. Curry can’t get it to go. And Randall has got the ball here for Minnesota. The lead is two. Well, Randall can hold his own down on the inside with that physical frame. Shoot. That free throw good from Randall. Both free throws good from Randall. Warriors trail by four. outside Green to Curry. Healed outside. Five on the clock for three. And Butler gets it to go and the assist by He’s got his sixth assist on the night. The defense a step slow. You can see the result. Hang to go outside. Back to Conway. Now here’s McDaniels outside. Edwards gets some rim on the way in and the bucket’s good. Edwards got 44 with the finish line in sight. This guy is determined to be the one to put the game away. Back to Pajki. Curry with a wideopen look. A rebound by the Timberwolves. Edwards got six rebounds now in the game. And the rebound goes to the Warriors to the inside. Green. The pass to Kur. Count the basket. And the foul. It’s on Anthony Edwards. Step with a great job there just getting to the end one opportunity. the timing of his shot and knowing when the defense is coming at him to draw contact. And guys, what do you think about the offensive approach we’ve seen so far for the Timberwolves? Guys, the D hasn’t had an answer for the three-point shooting, which is why they continue to just fire away from deep. And I feel like another part of tonight’s game has been the hustle, the hustle points, getting up and down, getting second chances, getting transition opportunities. They’ve been fantastic in that area. Finally, the pass to McDaniels. Timberwolves passing it around and we’re going to have a jump ball. It’s tied up there. Here’s Butler and trying for the go-ahead basket. It doesn’t go in. And a bit of a battle here for the ball. The official signals a jump ball here. Curry dishes to heel outside. Curry. Randle against Butler. You look how Jimmy Butler stays committed on that play, ready to overcome the defender and still take the shot. And that one falls. And that puts him up by one point. Always one of the hardest workers on his team. Jimmy Butler knows how to win. And so Butler nails both of them. You’re still waiting for that first miss from the line this half. Outside Edwards inside. Here’s Goar and slam dunk by Gobear. It’s Gobear showing some guts on that one with that length. a good bet to get off a good look in that crucial moment. Now here’s Green and he’s fouled pretty hard on that shot, but he’s got the chance to pick up the points at the line. It’s going to be on Rudy Goar. And that one misses. I mean, so much glue in this guy as Draymond focuses on making all the winning plays that he possibly can. Got to get it. Big. No luck that time either. Amazing to think about Draymond Green and the career arc he’s had thus far. He really can guard any position on the floor. He can make plays. Really a unique talent. How about Randall? Dependable big in a big moment. Now here’s Curry. That one misses. Good work defensively by Connley. Minnesota in the lead over in the corner. Edward down low. It’s stolen by Green on the wing. Heel. There’s 154 left to play in the final quarter. Good. Great play by Green to set it up and the Warriors lead by one. Minnesota’s gone 4-6 from beyond the arc in the fourth quarter so far. 8 ft away. Edwards can’t hit. And here’s Field. He’ll bring it up for Golden State. 17 points was their biggest margin. Here’s Curry. And oh boy, a lot of contact there, but he gets the call and will shoot two. Well, when Steph gets into the lane, he does a great job of shifting and moving the ball around and does not go away from the contact, forcing foul. So the first one drops and that will put them up by two. And you know, what impresses me most is his efficiency. That’s not something you normally see in a high volume jump. Second one is good both at the line. And it’s a three-point game. Tremendous job at the line as usual. You can always bank on him in those situations. Left side Edwards Warriors with the rebound. Greens got rebound number 12 already in the game to the middle and foul on the shot. and he’ll shoot two at the free throw line. Julius Randle pitch one up. Yeah, we know he’s undersized for the position, but Draymond Green does the work of several men, including how he forces the D that time. A foul. Let’s get it. Third on the first and that gives him a four-point cushion. And so he drops them both. It’s a five-point game. And just like that, this game is a two-possession affair. Minnesota’s gone 4-6 from beyond the arc in the fourth quarter so far. Here’s Edwards and he can’t stop the run as he misses. The Warriors shooting 44% in the fourth. The offense with some ups and downs to the paint with the block. That’s just a good solid instinctual play there from Randy Edwards making a statement and he is built to be the man for this team. Edwards answering the bell and executing. You can probably expect to see him slow it down now. Yeah, I think you want to milk your possessions. Can’t afford any wasted possessions down the stretch. Nope. Every opportunity here have to have flawless execution. How about the commitment from Edwards refusing to give up on He drops the first one. That brings them within two. and Edwards drops them both. There’s 25 seconds left in the fourth quarter and that’s an intentional foul. First free throw is good. And that will put them up by two and he hits both free throws here. So now it’s a three-point game. Well, important there to have the three-point lead because only a three can tie it up now. And so Chris Finch calls for the timeout. This is a huge moment, folks, in this game. And he must to be prepared. There’s 25 seconds left here in the fourth quarter. Conley gets to Randall, takes a three. It’s in. And oh, that was an enormous three-pointer. He’s a guy that lives for a big moment like that. Great focus and courage in the clutch. And we’ve got a timeout called by Steve Kerr. Coach clearly feeling the necessity to regroup with so much at stake here. He got 13 seconds left in the fourth quarter. with the ball over Randall. Oh, and a chance to win the game, but the last second shot is offline and regulation now complete. We will go to overtime live from Chase Center. Well, four quarters weren’t enough to decide this ball game. Sit back and enjoy as we move on to overtime. Connley and Edwards are the guards. McDaniels is out there with Julius Randall and it’s Goar in at the five roaming the paint for three. Edwards They get it again and finished off by Goar. And good luck keeping Goar off the boards. He has a tremendous nose for the ball. Majki on the wing. Edwards with it and another one falls. Amazing. And talk about coming up huge. What a performance. He’s nearing the franchise record for most points in a playoff game. This guy is clutch. Curry outside. Minnesota with the rebound. Edwards got his eighth rebound here tonight. And one action in this one. We’re about one minute into overtime. Right on the bucket. Well, you see the size and the strength and and that ability inside. Edwards can play like a power forward at times. Here’s Curry with the three. It’s good from long range. Curry’s got 39. Well, the rest of the team has looked pretty bad tonight, but he’s done a fantastic job of scoring the ball and carrying the load on offense. Go Bear with a screen for Edwards. Unloads from 13. Raymond Green grabs the miss. He usually knocks those shots down with ease. Defense got very fortunate there as they gave him way too much room to get that one off. Back to Curry. Five to shoot. Buried from 15 ft out. Curry’s got five points in the quarter. Curry’s found his groove out there. And that’s a scary thought. Oh, here’s Edwards. He’s defended by Penski. Heat. Heat. The first free throw is good and Edwards drops him both. Here’s Curry. Yeah, you don’t want to put Curry at the line. That’s just dangerous. And pretty much two points. Stephen, the best free throw shooter ever. The free throw drops for Curry. Yeah, we talked so much about Curry being the best shooter after he makes a three, but there’s a lot more to it. I mean, this guy’s also the most accurate free throw shooter of all time, so it’s pure. no matter where it comes from. Let’s get it. So, he gets them both. And so, it’s Connley bringing up the ball for the Timberwolves. It’s a one-point game. Mr. Randle now shoots over Pompki and again and how about the night he’s had that score now ties him for the single game playoff high for this team. He has been nothing short of amazing tonight, right? A legendary playoff performance from him. Some nice passing by Golden State. Pass the Butler and a lot of contact on that one. So he’ll shoot two here. Julius Randle picks one up. There are troublemakers out on the court and Jimmy Butler is one of them. And I mean that as a compliment. No good on the free throw. No good on the second free throw. And really even the great ones have off nights and this definitely qualifies as one of those for him. Pass to Randall. It is the three. Green with the rebound. Green’s Warriors trail by three. Ajeki on the wing. Back to Green. Now Curry to tie it up. The shot’s good on the assist by Butler. Curry’s got 46 points. And I just love the calm confidence that Steph has in these kind of moments. Give the ball to him, he’ll do it to you every time. Edwards passes to Randle. Shot clock at five. 14 ft away. And Green with the rebound. Green’s got rebound number 15 here tonight. Curry against to take the lead. Randle grabs the board for Minnesota. They’ve gotten off to a four for eight start from the field over connects again and he now owns third place for most points in a playoff game. An incredible game. No doubt. Nothing can slow him down. And now only Elgen Baylor and Michael Jordan ahead of him. How much further can he go? And we’ve got a timeout called by Steve Kerr. No doubt he is feeling the importance of this moment right now. And the Warriors with position here and that shot brings them to within just one. You remember that one guys? A difference maker. I’m wondering is that the biggest shot of the game? Here’s Edwards. Pajinski grabs the board. Green against Goar outside. Butler. Pass to Green to take the lead. Good. And you know it’s coming. Jimmy Butler lives to serve up in these moments. Heat. Heat. towards the Timberwolves now. They trail by one. You had a foul to give there, but you’d rather not have it cost your team points. He knocks down the clutch free throw. And so both free throws good that time. That puts him ahead. And you just have to understand that hours and hours of practice mean that clutch free throws become easy. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. Pivotal moment in this game. He’s not taken any chances. He’ll call time. Guys, what’s your take on how they maximize their opportunities now? Yeah, always intriguing to see what a coach draws up in this situation. Yeah, sometimes not just what a coach draws up, but who he has execute in these moments. Here’s Curry. Pass to Green. It’s stolen by Goar and he commits the intentional foul. That’s right. No other option but to foul and for some misses. He hits the first one and that will put them up by two. and he cannot convert on the second. That misses outside C outside. Butler misses the tray. And so it’s the Timberwolves who come out on top here. Things were looking bleak for him obviously coming into this game, but with tonight’s win, Greg, they are right back in it. And and that’s the fight this team has that they don’t care what the odds are. They are going to keep battling and suddenly we’ve got a series on our hands. We sure do. Curry against Chenzo. Steven Chenzo with a screen on Kaminga Clark. The pass to Reed. Plus slam out by Reed. Oh, nice finish from Nas Reed. That’s the kind of play that can give your team a spark. They’ve got Jonathan Kaminga, Moses Moody out there with Stephen Curry. Then there’s Gary Payeyton second and it’s post in at the center position. That’s the group for Golden State as we kick off the second quarter. Pick works well there, but the defense left a lot to be desired. It takes incredible effort to stay connected to the hip of the offensive player. You’ve got to want to work. And the basket by Edwards. Love to see that kind of activity. He just makes things happen. Pass to Kaminga. Back to Curry. Shot from the mid-range. Count that bucket. Curry’s got 10 points. You see the fear that Curry and his ability to shoot with range, it opens up other aspects, whether the drive or in that instance the midi. Now here’s Devon Chenzo. Six points for him. Here’s Clark. Missed inside. The Warriors leading. Curry with it. He’s got 10. Pass to Payton. Outside Moody. Shot clock at six. Curry against Steven Penzo. Can’t get it to drop. Boy, surprised he missed that. The defense just good enough to prevent that bucket. Clark finds Edwards. Out to Denzo. Reed. The screen on Curry. Here’s Devenenzo and it’s cleared by Stephen Curry. And so Curry will bring it up for the Warriors. Pass to Moody outside. Payton. There’s a screen. Here he goes to the inside and post gets it to go. And now a three-point Warrior lead. He knew exactly where his man was going to be. Outstanding lead passenzo against Curry. Denzo pass to Edwards. Outside Denzo over Moody. Denzo can’t hit. The Warriors lead by three. Oh, there’s the alley. Devontzel with the steel. Fast break Minnesota. Here’s Clark. Cole Clark with the slam. And that’s got to hurt. A turnover for a free run at the rim. And now we know who has the momentum. It’s still close though. These teams have been neck and neck. Let’s see the response here. And Steve Kerr calls timeout here. He’ll take the opportunity to regroup. Green’s checked in for the Warriors. Pajimsky comes in for Payton. Rudy Goar’s checked in for Minnesota. Mike Connley comes in for Alexander Walker. Closing in on four minutes played here in the second quarter. Curry passes to Green. Oh, a strong finish from Curry. Well, the advantage they have right now is largely based on his play. What an outstanding night outside Reed. Pass to Devenzo outside Con. Here’s Edwards. Here’s the three and again for three. and he’s letting it fly from long range to devastating effect and has now tied the franchise record for triples in a playoff game. Outside Moody back to Curry, six on the shot clock from deep three-point range. And it’s Goar with a rebound. Yeah, and the defense has really got to tighten up on him. I mean, he’s just too dangerous from the three-point line. Here’s Edwards. Oh, Edwards with the highlight reel jam. How about Anthony Edwards? The bounce. Go ahead and Oh, doing damage above the rim. That was our AT&T 5G slam cam. The Warriors trailing. Here’s Curry. 12 points for him. Kaminga with a screen on Edwards. Pass to Kaminga on the wing. Green defended by Goar. Moody from outside gets rebounded by Minnesota. They are looking really strong offensively. Yeah, just terrific momentum. Let’s see if they can keep it up. That’s his shot and one I’m sure he wants back. Kuminga and Kuminga throws it down. Well, not exactly one of those big burly power forwards, right? He depends on his leaping ability more than those guys and it serves him just fine. Connley against Curry. Pass to Edwards for three. Oh, Edwards. Money on the triple. Anthony Edwards has got his rhythm and he’s got a well-rounded offensive game. Look out outside. Kaminga Green against Coar. And it’s Green missing. I’m sure he’s kicking himself. He hates to blow that kind of opportunity. Pass to Edwards. Let’s go with a three. The rebound by Moody. Warriors trail by three. And here is Kaminga. Left side. Curry from 12 ft. He’s off on that one. Minnesota has gone two of four from the perimeter in the second so far. Oh, got that one up quick. Denzo’s got nine points. This defense is getting spaced out. Three of the last five buckets have come from way beyond the arc. And they call an illegal screen here. The screener was leaning a bit right there. His feet may not have been planted. Pretty obvious call by the officials. You know, he’s just leaning a little bit. You try to get away with it, but boy, the official all over it. And the Warriors make some changes. Butler’s checked in for Kaminga. And Heel is subbed in for Moody. Julius Randle’s checked in for the Timberwolves. McDaniels comes in for Deven Shenzo. Now here’s Connley and here’s Edwards outside. Rebounded by Green and it’s Green with the ball for the Warriors. They trail by six. Curry passes to Heel. Butler with the ball. He’s guarded by Connley. The fader hits the rim on the way in and the bucket is good. 12 points for him. Boy, the footwork of Jimmy Butler impressive. so good at finding room to get his shot off. Conway finds Edwards. Warriors with the rebound. Boy, in that close, he’s almost automatic, but boy, that’s pretty good defense. Wow. Now, here’s Pajki. No made baskets yet. Gee, the screen on Edwards. Here’s Pajki. Off target from three-point range. The Timberwolves lead by four. Here’s McDaniels. Nice spin off the left rim and in. McDaniels making excellent use of the mid-range there. The Warriors have gotten six of their 12 attempts to go since the end of the first. And here’s Curry. He’s got 12. Pass to He’s the three that drops and it comes off an assist from Curry. Heels got 13. We all know this guy is a volume three-point shooter. Mr. Heel does not lack for confidence. And Chris Finch calls timeout here. He wants to review the game plan. And the Warriors making a switch here. Dominguez checked in. And the Timberwolves also making a change. Alexander Walker’s checked in. Here’s Connelly. Pass to Randall. Now here’s Gobear. And it’s Jimmy Butler with the foul. That’s foul number two for him. Here’s Alexander Walker. Goar with a screen on heel inside. Oh, ferocious from Gobear. And vertical threat. That is Rudy Goar. What a ferocious finish at the rim. Butler passes to Green and he’s going for the up hit. Oh, Kuminga hopped for days. The great read between those two guys. The defense didn’t stand a chance. Ba. These two teammates right here, Brad, they are connected. Here’s Alexander Walker and he got the whistle on the way up. So, he’ll be headed to the line for a pair. And let’s take a moment here to get your take, guys, on the scoring so far for the Timberwolves. Well, we’re in the era of the three-point basket. So, if you want to win games in this league, you have to connect from deep. And they have been thus far. You know, also, they’ve been incredible on the fast break, taking those chances, playing with great pace. He misses the free throw. and he’s good on the second. So, it’s the Warriors now. Four-point game. Butler taking his time here. Boy, at his best, Jimmy Butler is a versatile scorer inside and outside, but what I will most remember him for, his competitive toughness. He’s made all five of his attempts at the line. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. First free throw is good. I simply stated Jimmy Butler is a winner and a game changer. This guy will compete on both ends of the floor. Gives you everything he has. Butler hits them both. Well, this guy has multiple ways to get to the free throw line and boy has his stroke been on the money. Randall outside. There’s the drive. Give him his fifth make of the game in 10 attempts. We know that Julius Randle loves to put it on the deck. off the dribble drive. Boy, he can be tough to deal with. Now Pajimki, he’s scoreless from downtown. Can’t hit it. He’s 0 for two now. He didn’t make them pay for that weak defense, but they just can’t rely on him to miss those kind of shots. McDaniels finds Connley. 149 left in the first half. Randle inside. He’s watched by Kuminga. Oh, sweet move. Randle can’t hit. Warriors trail by four. Kuminga. The pass to Butler. Dan. Count that. Two points and a chance for one more at the line. This to me is how Butler hurts you. The athleticism, the strength, the body control. Draws the whistle. Still finishes the play. Great shooting for him at the line tonight. Seven for seven. Payton’s checked in for the Warriors. And the Timberwolves also making a change. Clark’s checked in. That’s good from Butler. Minute 32 left in the second period. Randle outside. and he’ll draw the foul. He’ll head to the line for two. That’s on Jimmy Butler. Boy, what a nice offensive move by Julius Randall. Lurs the defender in to draw the contact. That is pretty. He’s made one and missed one so far at the line. and he makes a first. Yeah, they’re playing a much more physical game here in the second quarter. And the Warriors make some changes. Kaminga comes in for Jimmy Butler and it’s Stephen Curry in for Payton. And Randall drops them both. It seems to me Julius Randall improves every season and the more responsibility he’s given, it seems the better he performs. Now here’s Pajki. No points yet. Green with a screen on Connley. Fourth three. Stephen Curry. Well, he’s putting pressure on the defense. That’s two from downtown this period. Outside McDaniels. Kuminga against Randall. Go with a screen on Kuminga for three. Randall kicks it out to Clark. Connley against Curry. Six to shoot. McDaniels passes to Randall. Shoots over Kaminga. And Randall the bucket on the assist by McDaniels. Randle’s got 15. The guys over the years we’ve seen Randall become a much more aggressive scoreer. You love his tenacity. To the paint. Here’s Green. It’s rebounded by Rudy Goar. Go Bear’s got six rebounds in the game. One reason this game is so tight is because both teams are hitting the boards with reckless abandonment. Outside Pajki, great shooting for him at the line tonight. Seven for seven. shooting two. That free throw no good. And Minnesota making a change here. He hits the second from the line. Anthony Edwards has been on display for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Hit a couple from downtown this quarter. And don’t go far. We’ll be right back. Watching them on the offensive end, they did a great job moving that basketball. There is no surprise in those assist totals how they reflect that. Keeping everyone involved, keeping everyone engaged. Looking at the series breakdown for the Warriors. A dream start. Two wins on the road and now a chance to go up three zip at home. Well, they’re definitely sitting in a good place, but they got to watch their backs. Yeah, over and that’s it for halftime. Thank you for joining us. We send you back to Brian Anderson for the start of the third quarter. And we’re back with you folks as this exciting Western Conference semi-final game rolls on. It has been one outstanding game from Jimmy Butler. And if he felt any pressure coming into this game, he sure hasn’t shown it. What a sensational start. boy, he has been locked in all about business, just going out there and doing what he does best. And welcome back to our coverage of game three on 2K Sports. On the court for the Timberwolves, Connley and Anne are the one and the two. Rudy Gobear is out there with Julius Randall and it’s McDaniels in at the three. The kick out to Connley. Clock at six. Go Bear with a screen on Curry. Curry with the block. The tremendous defensive effort from Stephen Curry. Believe me, his teammates will hear about that denial. Golden State has got six out of 15 threes so far in this game. And there’s the screen for the lead. Oh, Curry stretching the limits. Wow, what a shot. They’ve been pretty lax with their perimeter defense, giving up a lot of three-pointers. It’s Connley with the ball for the Minnesota Timberwolves. It’s Edwards on the wing over Butler. Edwards no good. Well, seized up just a little bit at the last second. That’s when he normally converts. outside for Jimky. Heel the screen on Randall. Kajjimky with it. Randle’s there and the shots good. And now a four-point Warrior lead. And he gives up some size inside but makes a great adjustment on the finish. Well, he’s attacking. He’s forcing the issue and that simply stated a terrific play. Now here’s Edwards. He’s got 15 picked by Goar. Edwards a pass to Goar and stolen by Green. Here’s Pachki and the three off target. Timberwolves trail by four. Right side Edwards. Here’s Goar over Butler. Terrific fetish in close by Gobear. I’ll tell you, little you can do to stop Goar in there. He’s just too long and too hungry. Here’s Green outside for Butler. Fires the three. Misfires there. Four for six in the game now. Connley passes to Go outside. Connley. Go with a screen on Curry and he loss it up. Good punch from Goar. Uh just great recognition from the athletic big man. Go bear finish off the nice pass outside Green. Just over two and a half minutes gone by in the second half. Connley against Curry. Great D that time from Goar. The Timberwolves have gotten two of four shots to go since the break. Pass to Connley. Randall outside. Fires from deep. That one’s good. Butler up top. Checked by Randall. Here’s Curry. No good again that time. The Timberwolves have gone three of five from the field in this third quarter. Conley looking for an opening. Cobear finds Edward. Down to five on the shot clock. Hard work pays off right there. Anthony Edwards finds himself in the paint and draws contact. And this will be his third and fourth free throws of the game here. Shoot two. First one falls for him. Anthony Edwards is a physical force. This guy has the frame and the game to be an elite two-way player. Both good from the line that time. We’ve gone about 3 and 1/2 minutes here into the third. Pass to Curry. Got it from about 16 ft. Curry’s got 20. Very difficult to keep the ball out of Stephen Curry’s hands because he’s always moving. He can shoot from anywhere. And right now the defense has no answer to the middle. Curry with the big motor. Finishes in transition. All right. Defensively now you’ve got to find a way to slow this guy down because he’s putting it to you. Connley passes to Randall. Now here’s Edwards defended by Pachki. 14 ft away. Jimmy Butler with a rebound and it’s Butler with a ball for the Warriors. There’s a relentless effort from Jimmy Butler every night and he’s going to push through the foul and get his shot opportunity. And a look now at how the offensive approach has been going here so far for the Timberwolves. Their hot shooting from long distance has been the key. Spacing the floor and rising up with that confidence. And you also have to love the way they’ve gotten out and run in transition. A ton of good chances tonight simply from being willing to run the floor. Ties it up and his next one could give him the lead. And the free throw is good. Now leading by one for Minnesota. They’ve gotten three of six shots to fall so far in the third. Connley passes to McDaniels. offline with a three. And this is exactly who you want taking that shot. He just missed it. McDaniels with a steal. Randall outside. And here’s Edwards outside. That’s in. Coming off an assist from Randall. Randle’s got four assists now tonight. Edwards such an explosive scorer. You don’t want to concede that three-point shot. Boy, that’s going to make him feel good. Now here’s Curry. 22 points for him outside. Butler Green with a screen on Randle. Butler with the ball. Randle’s in his pocket. Oh, lots of contact on the shot. So, two free throws will follow that whistle. Well, you almost feel bad for the defender here, right? He tries to challenge Jimmy Butler’s shot. Times it pretty well, but gets tricked by the pump fake. Oh, this will make four trips to the line so far in this game. The first one falls. Jonathan Kaminga, he’s checked in for Heels. And the Timberwolves also making a change. Denzo, he’s checked in for McDaniels. We got this. We got this. Butler hits them both. Connley with the ball. down low. Deenzo against Butler now. Here’s Devincenzo. Defense is right there. Clock at two. Edwards can’t hit. Well, outstanding contest on the shot and then he’s positioned perfectly to go after the rebound. Hits the three-pointer. Curry’s got 10 points in the quarter. making his mark from long range today. That’s his second triple of the half, his fifth overall. Now here’s Edwards. 20 points for him. Randle a screen on Kaminga. And here’s Edwards outside. Rebounded by Butler. Butler’s got four rebounds now. I think he’s got to settle down cuz right now it feels like he’s rushing, like he’s forcing some shots. This quarter he has been completely bothered. Timberwolves trail by three. outside Debenzo. Well, with his strength, Julius Randle can absorb contact easier than a lot of players. This guy is not going to be intimidated. All right, guys. What do you think so far on the offensive approach for the Warriors? You got to admire how hard they’ve worked to get to the line. All game long, they’ve been going right into the defense and drawing foul after foul. I think the other thing we’re seeing tonight is the floor spacing of this team. Boy, they are shooting the cover off the basketball all game. And the first one at the line is good. It’s both from the stripe and Steve Kerr calls timeout here. And we might see some changes. Coach potentially looking to adjust. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. And the Warriors with possession here. They lead by one. Outside Green. I don’t think you can help but admire what Draymond Green brings to the floor on a night byight basis. This guy plays with a giant chip and he wants his teammates to come with him. He’s made two of his three attempts tonight. Free throw good. Green. Yeah. In terms of winners in NBA history, few have the resume of Draymond Green. big good. And that’s good as he hits both shots and really strong at the line since the break. And so Connley will bring it up for the T- Wolves. The kick out to Edwards. That one’s good. And it’s Connley who picks up the assist. Connley’s got six assists in the game. Golden State has gotten two of four threes to fall here in this third quarter. Kuminga against Edwards. Back to Curry. Buckler up top. Six on the shot clock. Fires the three. Gets rebounded by Minnesota. Outside Devenzo right side. Conley gets stolen by Curry. Here’s the break. Perhaps the last guy in the history of the NBA that you want to put at the free throw line. Stephen Curry will go down as one of the all-time great free throw shooters. This is his first trip to the free throw line tonight. And he knocks down the first one. Alexander Walker. He’s checked in for Minnesota. And so Curry nails both of them. Boy, from the charity stripe, Stephen Curry will go down as one of the best to ever do it for Minnesota. They’ve gone five of 11 in this third quarter. Randall finds Edwards, lets the three fly, rebounded by Butler. Butler’s got his fifth rebound in this one. Pass to Green. Rebounded by the Timberwolves. Randle’s got five rebounds in the game. Up and in on the layup. Randle’s got seven points here in the quarter. Guard him big, guard him small. Julius Randall is so crafty on the interior. It matters not. He’s going to finish. Now here’s Green. Here’s Kuminga. Oh, Kaminga just a menace inside. When it’s this close, every bucket matters. You need good looks. Here’s Randall trailing by two. Outside, Debenzo. Back to Randall and stop. Whistle there on what looks like an illegal screen. One of the trickier plays to judge, but it would be hard to argue against the call. It is really difficult to get your feet completely set, to stay completely still. It’s almost surprising to me that it isn’t called more often. Reeds checked in for the Timberwolves. Clark comes in for Edwards. Butler good. This is where Jimmy Butler most comfortable. You allow him into a mid-range jumper and turn the lights out. Randall outside back to Alexander Walker. It’s stolen away. Butler can’t get it to go. He’s lost his rhythm completely this quarter, but he’s determined to stay after it. Randall the pass to Devenzo fires top of the key. That’s in. Coming off an assist from Randall. Deenzo’s got 11 points. We know Julius Randall can score, but that scoring ability will be set up by that kind of play. Hey, what a pretty pass from the big man. Now here’s Pachki to the paint. Ventenzo with a steal. Pass to Randall. That shot missing. Good work defensively by Butler from the ark. Alexander Walker grabs the board. Just terrible defense. I don’t know how he missed that shot. Well, Julius Randle is never going to back away from a defensive player. He knows he’s got the strength to play through contact. Nice job drawing the foul. And this is his third trip to the line tonight. Shoot two. That one misses. Peyton’s checked in for the Warriors. Curry comes in for Pachimsky. good on the second one. Here’s Curry. He’s got 27. Kaminga up top over Randall. Oo, lands soft on the front of the rim and drops in. Domingo’s gotten four this quarter. Well, there’s evidence all over the floor of how well Stephen Curry runs this team. He does a good job keeping them at their pace and making all the right decisions. Now here’s Clark. Reed is screened on Peyton. Five on the clock and here’s Clark for three. Hits the trifecta. Clark’s got five points. Wow. You don’t see him left alone very often and of course he makes good use of it. Outside Moody. There’s a minute 12 left in the third quarter here to the inside. Dven with the steel. Pass to Randall. And he misses the go ahead basket. Golden State has gone two of six from downtown here in the second half. Kaminga finds Payton. Shoots over Denzo. Payton shot is good. He has six. The Timberwolves trail. Now here’s Alexander Walker. Randall with it. Coming to defend. Randall good. Randle’s got 10 points in just the second half. Boy, you love the determination from Julius Randall. This guy has a knack for scoring against good defense. Pass to Kaminga. Here’s Post. Here’s Payton. That three’s off the mark. It’s a tie game in the Bay Area. And we’re coming back in just a moment. Get ready for the fourth quarter when we return. And it’s time to bring up the State Farm assist of the game. And the winner today coming from an unlikely position. It’s the big fella with the sweetest pass of the day. Well, we have some elite passing big men in the NBA. And you love that skill. Wow. Man, I know I speak for all of us when I say I can’t wait to see what kind of finish awaits us here in the fourth quarter. Moody is out there with Stephen Curry. Then there’s Gary Payton second. Then there’s Jonathan Kaminga. And it’s post in at the pivot spot banning the middle. That’s the Warriors five. Now here’s Kaminga outside. Curry puts one up from 19. Rebound Minnesota. You got to move past that one. I mean, they’d want him to take that again. And they should because it’s when you start turning down that kind of look that your offense can start to bo down a bit. Here’s Alexander Walker and unable to get the go ahead bucket there. Moody passes to Curry right side. Kaminga outside Peyton over Edwards. Payton shot is good and the Warriors lead by two. Well, the Timberwolves shooting has been good around 52% from the field. Pass to Devenenzo outside Edwards over Moody. Minnesota again missing. I don’t know if he’s tired or what, but he is definitely holding back a little bit and he has to step his game up right now. To the middle and here’s Curry. Outside Moody Back to Curry from outside the arc. He buries it from three and now a five-point Warrior lead. He hit three triples in the first half. Three more since that’s nothing to shrug at. Deincenzo pass to Alexander Walker. Here’s Edwards. Oh, Edwards just bullying his way inside. Well, we know this about Anthony Edwards. This guy one of the stronger guards in this game. That’s a tough finish. Curry passes to Moody. Just over two and a half minutes played now. Final quarter of regulation. Fires from the wing. Curry no good. Timberwolves trail by three. the inside. Here’s Edwards. Edwards finishes strong against the D. Every aspect of Anthony Edwards game is on display. This guy has been cooking from the outset. Outside Moody pass to Curry. The three and the Warriors with another three. Well, you love that they’ve been able to rely on him time and time again. You love the effort here late. outside Edwards. Well, if you’re just tuning in, welcome. We played about 3 and 1/2 minutes into the fourth quarter here. Now, Moody. Here’s Post down low. Oh, Curry, a magician inside. It would be easy to take for granted the greatness we see every time Stephen Curry hits the floor. Another special performance right now. Here’s Edwards. No stopping him there. Jams it in and he’s fouled. An opportunity and a three-point play. That’s on Gary Payton the second. And the Warriors making a switch here, but Jimsky’s checked in. Garzes checked in for Minnesota. Connley comes in for Devincenzo. free throw. Good. Edwards. They’re finding a rhythm from the line as they try to cut into this deficit. And here’s Pajki outside. Curry three-pointer. Another three for Golden State. And this is how he shines. He’s a big part of their floor space. And right now, Greg, he is doing a great job delivering for this team. Productive and efficient. Shot is good by Edwards. Well, I’m telling you, this guy is doing everything he can to get them where they want to be. He’s been on a mission in this period. Outside Pajki. Curry. A screen on Edwards. Here’s Pajki and he can’t answer back. The three-pointer offline. I’ve been in this position. Your team is up. You want to drive in the dagger. He may be a little overeager. Outside Alexander Walker. Ooh. Can’t tie it up as that one’s no good. And the defense got away with one there. I mean, that’s the shot he typically makes. Pass to Curry beyond the arc. Good. Another from three. I mean, he is scorching hot right now. He could be on his way to setting a franchise postseason record with his shooting. He’s caught fire at the right time for this team. Stepped up big in the postseason for the run. Outside Kaminga with a screen on Edwards. Back to Curry. Takes the three. Connects again from distance. The threes coming fast and furious. He is scorching the nets. Yes. And now tied for the third most three-point field goals in a single game in playoff history. Yeah. 10 triples equals Dame Lillard’s buzzerbeating performance in 2019 when he waved goodbye to the Thunder. Well, Anthony Edwards has got a well-rounded offensive game. He can put it on the deck and draw contact. Shows you right there. Big break. Big break. Two seconds. Throw good. Edwards. Well, we know Edwards has an impressive skill set, but what really separates him is the competitive edge that he plays with. Greens checked in for the Warriors. Jimmy Butler comes in for Kaminga. So he hits one of two from the strike. The Warriors lead by eight to the paint. Here’s Butler. Pass to Green. Back to Butler. Green with a screen on Randall. And here’s Butler outside. Rudy Goar with a rebound. Go’s got the glass covered here tonight. That’s 11 boards for him. Connley passes to Randle. Connley up top. He’s covered by Curry. Anthony Edwards is a load to handle as a defender. This guy’s got the frame and the skill to make it very difficult. Take a break. Take break. First free throw is good. You know, seeing an uptick in his trips to the free throw line really since we came out of the half. Heels checked in for the Warriors. McDaniels has checked in for Minnesota. And both free throws good for Edwards. The Warriors lead by six. Outside Pajki outside heel. Shot clock at six. Left side. Butler. Rudy Goar with a rebound. Go’s got rebound number 12 here already in the game. Edwards. Edwards rises up and powers it down. Goodness, Anthony Edwards always on the attack. This guy is just so dynamic. Outside Butler pass to Green and stolen by Goar. Randall against Curry outside Edwards. Back to Randall outside. McDaniels. No good on the triple. Boy, a wide open shot from his favorite spot. That is one he’d like to have back. Outside Pajki. Now Butler. Pass to Curry over Connley. And there’s Curry on the assist from Butler. Butler’s got three assists in the game. Zero fear from Curry inside. Two more points in his Hall of Fame career. Now here’s Edwards. And there’s a whistle. He’ll head to the line to shoot two. two. And he drops the first and both free throws good for Edwards. The Warriors lead by four. Outside heel outside Butler outside Green. Four on the clock. Heel the screen on Goar. Here’s Green from the arc. Edwards pulls it in. Edwards got his fourth rebound in this one. Can’t hit that one. Green with the defensive effort. The Warriors have gotten eight of 15 during the fourth quarter. Pass to Pajimski, launches it, gets rebounded by Minnesota. Randle’s got rebound number seven tonight. Well, this is the night you look at your teammates and tap them on the back and say, “Good job.” Because for him, he’s been struggling all night. Edwards finds McDaniels and it’s flush down. A nice jam. Oh, such an impressive athlete. Mr. McDaniel, send it in. Outside. Kajjimky on the wing. Green outside. Curry. Green with a screen on Edwards. Good. Another from three. He’s putting on a shooting exhibition that has left this entire arena in awe. And you know, he finds himself tied for second place all time in three-point makes for a playoff game. Yeah. Equaling game six Clay who buried OKC back in 2016 with 11 triples. Now here’s Butler out to heel pass to Curry. Oh, another one falls. And that gives him 51. Making it look easy. We’ve got 155 left to play in the fourth. Outside. Edwards. Lets it go from deep. Yes. Great play by Connelly to set it up. Connley’s got seven assists in the game. Outside PJski outside heel sets up a three knocks down the long J and the Warriors lead by seven. And that three-pointer is big. Cancels out the triple at the other end and help stretch out their lead. 14 ft away. Shot is good by Edwards. Edwards got 45 points. Anthony Edwards relishes big time moments and he delivers right there. And here’s Curry for three. Gets rebounded by Minnesota. Go Bear’s got 13 rebounds in the game. Glass eating. Now here’s Edwards defended by Pachimski to the inside. Deflects the pass and stolen by Green. Pass to Curry. heel to the ball outside. Butler 43. The shot no good. When you’re not in rhythm with the three ball, why do you keep firing from there? And he commits the intentional foul. Two points here could be the only cushion they need. Grant, hard to say. Crazier things have happened in this league. Heel for three, gets the three to four. They have a relentless mentality even with the game in total control. This is a textbook example of playing the possession and not the score. This team is doing a great job continuing to execute. Now a timeout called by Minnesota. 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Turning here to our analysts, what elements become the primary keys at this point? I mean, they’re still battling, but this one is just about fishing. 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter of this one. Here’s Edwards. That one’s good. And it’s Connley who picks up the assist. Edwards got 47 points. And so it’s Golden State with it. Their biggest lead of the game was nine. And no good as the first free throw misses. We’ll see if he can hit the second. And no luck that time either. And here’s Minnesota now. They trail by six. And we’ve seen Edwards grow a lot in the past few years. He has a great understanding of how to put defenders in tough spots. First free throw is good and that brings him within five. And good on the second. So he makes them both. Here’s Pajimski. And now an intentional foul. They need the ball back as soon as possible. Yeah, just trying to keep this game alive. Not a bad foul right there. He gets the first and that puts him up five. And so both free throws good and it’s a six-point ball game. When you’ve got your opponent down, don’t let him up. This one’s all but over. And Minnesota calls time here. They’re losing by six. Any speculation on what we’re going to see coming out of this timeout? They need to answer fast. Well, preferably a three, right? If there’s a clean look, take it. There’s 14 seconds left to play in the fourth quarter. McDaniels can’t hit and they go to the intentional foul. Oh, he doesn’t hit the first. That was the one they really wanted. He’s got one more though. And he can’t make the second free throw either. missed them both from deep three-point land. Money from deep. Stolen by Conley. Oh, and he can’t make the shot to force overtime. And so the big win by Golden State in a All right, Ally, good stuff there. Thanks for that. Time for us to say goodbye. We hope you enjoyed our Kaminga kicks curve. Three minutes of action so far in the second quarter and that won’t go. Missing the go- ahead bucket and so in the game for the Timberwolves Alexander Walker out there with Clark. Then it’s Nas Reed. Then there’s Edwards and it’s Devenzo in at the point. Just a late reaction there from the defense and he is always going to finish that one. There’s the pick. A nice jump shot from the top of the key. Curry’s got five points now this quarter. He has perfected his ability in the pick and roll. Curry going to work. Master Clark shooting foul. As the whistle blows, he’ll shoot two free throws. But Timberwolves been good at the free throw line in this one. Seven of eight. And the first one at the line is good. Green, he’s checked in for Golden State. Pompeki’s coming in for Payton. Timberwolves also changing it up. Go’s checked in for Alexander Walker. and Mike Connley subbed in for Dante Devincenzo. And so Clark nails both of them, closing it on four minutes played here in the second quarter. Now here’s Curry. Nine points in the game so far. He missed that one, but I’ve seen him drill shots from that distance in warm-ups. Well, that looked to me, guys, like a heat check and was maybe a step out of his range. Oh, what a physical score from Edwards. Tell you what, he has been feeling it, guys. And the best game plan right now, it’s elementary. Just keep feeding him. Let him eat. Kanga screen on Edwards. A three ballski shot is good. Pajk’s got seven points. And they’re shooting really well from long range this quarter. They should keep looking to the three-point shot for some extra offense near the three-point line. It’s Edwards. No good. Off the back of the rim. Usually, guys, he’s going to knock that one down from there. Proficient at operating in that medium range area, but nice timing on these jumps. He’s somewhat on the small side for a power forward, but he just never gives up. And here’s Edwards. 15 points in the game. And here is Clark. Just five on the clock for three. Edwards. Good. Another from three. And he’s letting it fly from long range to devastating effect. And he’s now tied. the franchise record for triples in a playoff game. Back to Curry. Puts up a deep three. Reed with the rebound. And the great shooters know when they’ve got enough opening to go for the three. I didn’t think it was a bad choice on that possession. Pass to Clark. I’m Edwards. Go with a screen for Edwards. Edwards with another miss. Warriors trail by three to the inside. Here’s Kinga. Rudy Goar with the rebound. Good offense squaring up against better D there. Got to appreciate that stop. Edwards with a tough shot. Boy, how about the strength of Edwards confident at taking on defenders and finishing. Connley against Curry and contact on the shot. So, he’ll be shooting free throws here. Oh, the the officials are all over that one. Clearly a foul. I mean, didn’t give him any choice but to blow the whistle. I mean, you got to play without fouling. And a look now at how the offensive approach has been going here so far for Minnesota. In the early going, they’ve been heating, very crafty at drawing contact to work themselves to the line. In addition to that, they’ve thrown their weight around inside tonight, too. Thumping and bumping in the paint. A lot of their points have come from inside and haven’t had great success at the line. But Green certainly works on his game from there. Looking at who’s out there now for the Warriors. Jimmy Butler. He’s checked in for Jonathan Kaminga. And it’s Buddy Heel in for Moses Moody. Julius Randle’s checked in for Minnesota. Nick Daniels comes in for Clark and he makes both free throws. What I appreciate most about Green is his leadership. Strong vocally on and off the floor. Connley against Drew. Here’s Edwards. A beautiful finish inside by Ant. And there’s a pattern starting to take shape here. They’re working it inside and getting good shots from close range. Well, I agree with you. Four of their last five baskets have been exactly of that variety. Healed the pass to Butler and it’s Pajki in the corner from the wing. His second shot goes in. Off to a good start. Two for two. Really well done there. Just confident and composed. Never in a hurry. Outside Edward. Conley sets a screen for Edwards. Green with the block. Green takes great pride in his defense now. He loves denying shots at the rim and playing bigger than his 68 frame would lead you to believe. You got to love his hustle. Leaving the defense no time to react. And you know you’re going to get those buckets, guys, when you’re quick to get out on the break. Get that ball up the court as fast as you can. And so Chris Finch calls for the timeout, looking for a breather and maybe just one or two things to talk about. Moses Moody, he’s checked in for Stephen Curry. Dante Dvenenzo, he’s checked in for the Timberwolves. and Randall have got the ball here for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Down to five on the shot clock. Iman Green with the rebound. The Warriors trail. Here’s PMski. He’s got nine. Healed outside. Golden State moving the ball around. Moody’s shot is off. Minnesota’s gone two or four from three-point range so far in the second quarter. Just an attacker is rampant. Always seems like he’s being sent to the line. The Timberwolves have gone nine of 10 from the line, so making the most of their chances. That free throw good from Randall. And no matter what, one of the big positives they can take away from this game is how well they perform at the line. No good on the second. So he hits one of two. And you know the impressive descension of Randall has been a lot of fun to watch. I mean he’s a double double threat who plays with relentless energy. Pass to Moody. Lets it go from deep. Gets the three-pointer to fall. Moody’s got his second bucket of the night. And it seems as if someone got their signals crossed if he can wind up that open from three-point range. I’m sure that was not a part of the game plan. Now here is Devenzo. Five points in the game. Debenzo smartly getting into the defense there, drawing a foul inside while taking the shot. That’s a smart offensive play by Deep Venzo. And a moment now to look at the scoring approach in terms of where the points are coming from for the Warriors. We’ve got a bunch of this game yet to be played, but they’re shooting it well from the three-point line. That’s got to be a welcome sight. Another big component of their game early on has been their execution on the fast break. They’re getting a bunch of easy baskets pushing it in transition. First free throw is good. Boy, the upside defense has is obvious. I mean, now it’s up to him to continue working on his game and keep getting better. And the Warriors making a change here. Payton’s checked in. And so he hits both. The Warrior shooting has been terrific. 54% on the game. Outside Butler back to Pensky. healed left side. Butler against Randle. Two free throws coming up and they call the shooting foul. Julius Randle picks one up. I don’t think you can get too physical with Butler because he’s so smart and clever in how he gets into the defender to draw the foul. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. and he makes the first. Well, you go back and look at the career that Jimmy Butler’s had. Hard to believe that he was the 30th pick of the draft when he came out of college. You got to say that scouts kind of missed on that one. Minnesota making a switch here. Alexander Walker’s checked in. And so Butler nails both of them. Making it look effortless. Send this guy to the strike. He’s going to cash in more than not. Conley. The pass to Randall. Over to the wing. Payton against McDaniel. The shot goes in. First shot, first basket. Pajki with it. Nine points in the game so far. Outside Butler. Back to Pajki. Outside Butler. This one for three. Oh, Butler draining the three. He’s picking up right where he left off in the first quarter. Timberwolves trail. And so Chris Finch calls for the timeout. He wants to check in with his team and regroup. right side. Conlock healed outside. Here’s Green. Lays it up and despite of the excellent defense at that. Now it’s a four-point Warrior lead as Okonnelly will bring the ball for Minnesota. Con of the game following the win on Sunday. Well, it’s easy to score when you’re facing very little resistance. That’s why their offense looks so good now. Well, I think it was a combination of things quite honestly, but the defense didn’t really offer them a challenge all night. I agree with that. Mark is at three. Handle no good. He’s been ice cold tonight. And you know, you look at the scoreboard guys, they really could have used his contribution right. Vajky with it. Fandal on him on the wing. Heel defended by Alexander Walker. Heel can’t hit. You can’t look at the result of that shot. They’ll take that whenever they get it. Well, you know, I hear you. That’s a good look, but when you’re that wide open, I think you got to knock it down. And guys, they continue to put a lot of pressure on the interior defenders with their work down low. pass the above. 103 left now here in the second. Butler making it happen inside. A much better quarter for them shooting the ball. Anytime your field goal percentage is in the high 50s, partner, you’re doing something right. Conley finds Alexander Walker. Go with a screen on heels. Alexander Walker offline with his three. I’m shocked that didn’t turn into three points. I mean, he makes you pay on those nearly every time. Aki on the wing inside and he gets the whistle. Two free throws coming up and they have yet to miss a shot from the line here this quarter. Yeah, you have to make teams pay for fouling you. That’s why they call them free. And they’ve done exactly that. Made them pay. He’s off on the first. Everybody knows about how Buddy Heield is an incredible three-point threat, but what I love, here’s a guy with a bunch of years playing 80 or more games. Love that durability. He’s ready to go whenever they call his name. Dante Denzo, he’s checked in for the Timberwolves. Good on the second free throw. and very quietly. He is one of the best three-point shooters in our league. As dangerous as they come now, here’s defended by PMski. Now, Devenenzo, he has seven. Now, here’s McDaniel. What a play. He simply trains it in at the buzzer. Monster buzzer beater there. Helps carve into that deficit. Now it’s anybody’s game. Jimmy Butler has been on display for the Golden State Warriors. What a quarter that saw them generate a great comeback effort and are now out in front with momentum behind them. And we’ve got more in 2K Sports coming your way after this break. It’s a coach’s dream to see the ball whip around the floor like this. They’re playing some selfless basketball. It’s been a thing of beauty. Stacking the dimes and buying buckets. Looking at the series breakdown for the Warriors. A dream start. Two wins on the road and now a chance to go up three zip at home. Well, they’re definitely sitting in a good place, but they got to watch their backs. Yeah, over and that concludes halftime. Now, time to send it over to Kevin Harland as the game’s about to resume. And we return again with more playoff action from the Western Conference semifinals. We are seeing a tremendous game from Jimmy Butler. And he’s shown just how adept he can be at creating contact and then cashing in at the line. Well, you know, in that first half, it was a common occurrence. He got to the stripe time and time again. Minnesota shooting the ball really well in this game. 58%. In the back court, we’ll see Curry and Pompeki Butler out there with Draymond Green. And it’s healed and at the small forward. So that’s the group out there for Golden State. The Warriors leading Green dishes to Cur. must recover and rejection by McDaniels. McDaniels is perhaps the best wing defender in the league, guys. Showing us why right there and I like the fact that the defense is looking to protect the rim at all costs. Definitely saved the layup with that foul and he’ll make him earn him from the line and that’s what you want to see. And uh he’s just had one attempt at the line early. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. And he knocks down the first one. A superstar level talent for sure. Anthony Edwards is awesome, but I like his competitive spirit as much as his skills. And it’s tied up with that one. The Warrior shooting so far very efficient all around about 55%. Healed against McDaniel. Green inside. Five on the clock. Back to Heel. shoots over McDaniels. He can’t hit and not allowing the shooter even an inch of breathing room on that one. And guys, that’s exactly the kind of high impact defense they want to see out of him. And here they come on up the court. And there’s Butler with the push. And you know, when Butler’s hot, keep getting him the rock. It’s that simple. It’s not complicated. Edwards passes to Conley. Third quarter of basketball about a minute and a half in McDaniels with the bounce pass. Butler against Randle. Oh, tough play by Butler. Easy to see why Butler gets so much respect for his competitiveness. I mean, he thrives at finishing through contact. Conley kicks to Randle. Nice ball movement by Minnesota with a screen on Buck. That’s good. And the Warrior lead is cut down to just two points from the bucket from Rudy Goar. Excellent mobility right there. I like when Gobear rolls to the rim with that aggression. Pass to Curry. Lets it go with a three. Good. Great play by Green to set it up. Green’s got his fifth assist in this one. Now here’s Go Bear. Outside Edwards. McDaniels passes to Edwards. It’s rebounded by Golden State. Greens got his seventh rebound of the game with that last one outside curve. Second half of play and we’re three minutes into the third here. Outside Butler. They kick out to heal. Stolen by McDaniels down low. Here’s Edwards. It’s rebounded by Golden State. Curry’s got his fourth rebound with that last one here tonight. And they’re one of four here to start the second half. Just under three and 1/2 minutes played here in the third quarter. Rudy Goar with the rebound. Go’s got his fifth rebound right now in the game. Here’s McDaniels. And that one good. McDaniels got seven points in the game. Nice looking teardrop by the swingman McDaniels. Love watching his offense continue to evolve and grow. Murray finds Butler. A floater through tight coverage. Butler knocks it down. Pretty much all of their buckets coming from inside the paint now. And so Chris Finch calls for the timeout. wants to talk some things over. Might be seeing some things to adjust. Heat. Heat. Lando passes to Connley. Back to Randall. And he battles for the ball and gets the second chance bucket. He’s got six. Randle’s got an unorthodox game, but he’s got a good strong upper body, which makes him a very consistent scorer inside. Pass to Pajki. Right side, Butler. Heel with it. High post try and another basket for Golden State. Heel good at using this area of the floor. He’s an impressive mid-range shooter. Oh, here is Edwards. He’s defended by Penski right at the free throw line. Ian Green with the rebound. Boy, this is bad. Tough to watch. I mean, this is really bad. East stone cold this game. Pass to heel. Back to Green. Heels. That’s the pick for Green and the three off target. And he didn’t punish them for the weak coverage there, but they can’t count on him to continue missing. Here’s Randall. McDaniels gets a wide open look. Pats in coming off an assist from Randall. Randle’s got six assists now in the game. Pass to Pajki. Curry against Conor. Now Butler from the arc. The answer Jimmy Butler. Well, he’s demanding the ball. He wants it and he’s coming through. I mean, you can see why his teammates trust him down the stretch, guys. Handle outside. Back to Connley. Plays it up and banks it in. And that’s 11 points for Connley. Connley so crafty with that left hand of his. The veteran knows his way around the hoop. Pass to Pajki. Curry. A screen on Edwards. Butler on the way under and the call on the shot. It sends in to the line. Julius Randle picks one up. Well, you got to stay grounded on that pump fake. Butler really effective at getting the defender to jump into his space. And a chance for just a second to check out the scoring breakdown for the Warriors. Well, I think they’ve been lethal from beyond the arc this game. No doubt about it. Hard to defend such spot-on shooting. Another thing they’ve done well tonight is convert at the free throw line. May seem like a little thing, but boy, it can pay big dividends. A free throw drops for Butler. You know, when you’re looking to create a culture, a championship type culture for your team, you want guys like JB, guys that are tough, accountable, and consistent. Jonathan Kaminga, he’s checked in for Heel. Dante Devenenzo, he’s checked in for Minnesota. And so Butler nails both of them. Timberl Conley. Nice ball movement by Minnesota to the middle. Here’s Devenenzo and that one falls coming off Connley’s feet. Connley’s got four assists now tonight. Golden State’s gone into the three-point range four times since halftime and buried two of them. Curry from deep three-point land. Rebound Minnesota. The shooting numbers just aren’t there yet in the four quarter. Here’s Edwards. Rebound by Butler. and and he has definitely been struggling in this quarter. You know, guys, it seems to me as though he’s over anxious. He seems to be pressing, trying too hard, moving too fast. Just needs to calm himself down and wait for good shots. Now, here’s Curry. Anthony Edwards unable to get his last shot to go in. And Curry’s really a master at drawing contact. The defense has to be careful when defending him. And he’s got his first free throw of the game. free throw. Good. Curry. Boy, how consistently good Steph’s been over the course of his career. Really remarkable. What a teammate. What a leader. What a player. Alexander Walker, he’s checked in for Mike Conley. And so he makes both from the line. And if they continue, Kevin, their outstanding free throw shooting. That’ll help them seal the deal. Yeah, they’ve not missed a single foul shot this half. And that’s taking care of business, fellas. Now here’s Goar back to Devenenzo. Gobear with a screen for Devenenzo. Goar dishes to Randall. Six on the shot clock. And there it is for him. Randle’s got four this quarter. Doesn’t have the great limp, but Randall with the attitude to beat up guys on the inside. Curry. Pass it to Kaminga. And here is Butler. Green with a screen on Randall inside. Green. No luck. Timberlenzo knocked away down low working on Green. No run here with no lets it go. No good. That would have tied it. Well, he had one three-pointer in the first half, but so far in the second he’s come up with goose eggs. Now here’s Butler. Lets it fly from 18. And he didn’t get quite enough under that one. Here’s Alexander Walker. Defended by Butler. Go with a screen on Butler. Alexander Walker passes to Randle. A shot off that time. Nice defense from Kaminga and not a night he’s going to want to remember. Just not really able to score the basketball. Shots good from Butler. Wow. Unconscious has he been this quarter. They’re riding that hot hand. Timber trail by five. Here’s Alexander Walker. Six points for him. Outside for Randall. sinks the triple. Randle’s got 11. One triple for him in the first half. Now he’s at another. And we’ve got a timeout called by Steve Kerr. He’s made the decision he wants to huddle up with his guys. Nas Reed, he’s checked in for the Timberwolves. Clark comes in for Edwards on defense. Minnesota pass to post outside Butler. Shot clock at five. Here’s the three. Post misses the shot. And got to like what they’ve been doing down low in the post. I certainly do. You know, I like to see guys do their work inside. Their rebounding has been excellent and that’s always important in the post. Clark with a wide open look. Here’s Reed. Can’t tie it up as that one misses. The Warriors have gone seven of 15 from the field here in the third quarter. Here’s Butler. Oh, took the contact and tried to throw it down over the top, but instead he’ll shoot free throws. And Butler just excellent at finding ways to get to the stripe, especially when he’s near the basket. Three trips to the line so far for him in this one. The free throw drops for Butler. He’s off on the second and Randall has got the ball here for Minnesota. It’s a three-point game. Alexander Walker finds Reed. Kaminga against Randle. Shoots over Kaminga. Knocks it down from 7 ft. Randle’s got 13 points. And he is starting to turn it on now after that slow start. Payton against Chenzo down low. Here’s Butler. Ah, Butler hits it with traffic. The defense has just been unable to slow him down. Wow, what a game. Generals trail by three. 47 seconds left in the third. Stevenzo kicks to Reed. Nice ball move by Minnesota. And Reed throws it down. Strong move by Reed. He’s tall and agile and strong. He’s hard to slow down. First trip to the free throw line for him tonight. What’s up, free throw no good for Reed and every season it seems Reed takes another step forward in adding to his game. And that’s a testament to his strong work ethic. Now here’s Randall. 13 points in the game. Pass to Reed. Back to Randall for the lead. And the rebound goes to the Warriors. To the inside. The kick outside to Butler. That’s good. And it’s Payton with the assist. Payton’s got his fifth assist in this one. And obviously his momentum from the last game has carried over here tonight. And you know that’s how it goes with him. I mean his hot streaks guys don’t last minutes, they last days. And offensively a great show for the fans through the first three quarters. It’s been a Now let’s take a look at our assist of the game presented by State Farm. Just true artistry right there. I mean, great decision on where to go with the ball. And how about the perfect delivery and they’d love to see every possession end this way. True team basketball. And we’re back with you all set to bring you more action from game three. So on the floor for Minnesota, they’ve got Dante Devincenzo, Naz Reed out there with Clark. Then it’s Nil Alexander Walker and it’s Edwards in a shooting guard. Back to Alexander Walker. Just five to shoot. Reed with a screen on Payton. Puts up a deep three. He doesn’t hit that one. Warriors leading by four. That’s to Curry. And that’ll be two free throws coming up. Officials on the call with the foul. You got to be careful how you guard Curry because he’s so skilled with the ball and as a shooter. He’s able to figure out ways to draw fouls. The free throw drops for Curry. When you talk about shot mechanics, Curry is as close as you can get to perfect. I mean, you can tell he puts a lot of work into that part of his game and it pays off. So, one for two that time at the strike and just a better job of getting to the line here in the second half. Didn’t get there once in the first. Count it. And the Warrior lead has been cut down now to just three on the basket from Alexander Walker. Pass to post. Payton surveying the floor. Now Kirk the three. It’s Clark with the rebound. Clark’s got four rebounds now tonight. Even Jenzo with it. Here is Edwards defended by Kaminga. Here’s Clark. Back to Edwards. And that one clearly a foul. Gets the whistle. And two shots coming up. Edwards does not back down. Even if it means taking physically hard contact, he’s fearless. Shooting two. The first one falls. Hey, like a lot of guys, Edwards rides momentum as a player. When his confidence is soaring, so is his activity level. and Edwards drops them both. We’ve gone about a minute and a half into the fourth quarter and so Curry will bring it up for the Golden State Warriors. They lead by one outside Baiton. Now here’s Moody guarded close. Four on the clock. Stolen by Reed. And here’s Edwards from the arc. Hands it from downtown. Edwards got five points in the quarter. The challenge with defending Edwards, he’s a three-level score. Now here’s Payton defended by Alexander Walker. Payton dishes to Curry over Clark. Curry can’t get it to go. They came close there to tying it up. Yeah, you know, and after the way they fought back into it here in the fourth, that would have been a big bucket for him. Edwards against Kaminga. Anthony Edwards has a great body and knows how to control it. Showing you right there by taking advantage to draw the foul. And some stats here, guys, is the scoring breakdown for the Timberwolves. The way they’ve been able to consistently get past the defense and to the cup has been most impressive. They’ve almost made it look pedestrian. And we’re also seeing a lot from them at the arc in this one tonight. It’s been all about that three ball for these guys. That free throw no good. And he’s been to the line much more here than he was in that first half. He’s not playing nearly as tentatively as he was earlier. Pajki, he’s checked in for the Warriors. Minnesota also with the sub. Michael Conley, he’s checked in for Nquille Alexander Walker. He hits the second from the line. Just over two and a half minutes played now here in the final quarter of regulation. Pass to post. To the paint. Here is Pachki. It’s good. And that’s right in his wheelhouse looking to make an impact when it counts. You know, they want the ball in his hands here because they trust him to hit all the big shots. Kyle the pass to Ed. Now Devinzo, he’s defended by Pensky. The shots good from Deanchenzo and the Timberwolves lead by three. They’re doing a really good job of getting the ball inside and attacking the paint. That’s an area they have completely dominated. Well, once they recognize the advantage they had inside, it made a lot of sense just to continue to attack that area. Stolen by Reed. Fast break. Minnesota. Devenzo finds Edwards. Second chance shot. Good. Edwards mixing it up inside. I’m sorry, that’s poor defense down low again. And it’s been a mismatch thus far in the paint. I’d agree with you and I don’t think they expected this one to be a game where they would get battered inside like they have. Shot by Pensky. No good. Here’s Minnesota. It’s a 12-2 run here. Good pace. And there are the Timberwolves with another bucket. Boy, what a quarter for him. I mean, he’s found his rhythm and he’s really riding that wave right now. Warriors trail by seven. Curry pass it to Moody. throw it. Free throw. Good. Moody. Alexander Walker. He’s checked in for the Timberwolves. Moody heads them both. Minnesota leading by five. Pass to Reed. Outside Connley and here’s Edwards. Five to shoot. That one falls. Edwards got 12 now in this quarter. Warriors have gone one of four since the end of the third quarter. Vajky with it. Outside Kinga. The three-pointer is right on target. The defenders need to recognize the importance of staying on him as we get into Clark. Pass to Deanzo. It’s stolen by Curry. One-on-one here. Count that one. And the Minnesota lead has been cut down to just two points in the bucket from Moody. And Curry isn’t just a lights out scorer. He’s also efficient at moving the ball and getting it to his teammates. And here’s Edwards from the AR. The rebound by Post. And here’s Kaminga. He’ll bring it up for the Warriors. Pass to Penski. Back to Curry. to take the lead. Rebounded by the Timberwolves. Even Jenzo’s got his sixth rebound on the night at the elbow. Edwards outside. Connley with a screen for Connley from 18 ft away. It’s rebounded by Kaminga. Warriors have gone three of eight here in the fourth quarter to the inside post. Those plays can make a difference in a game like this. Well, you know it’s going to fire up Greg. Everybody on that bench making a statement for sure. I mean, we’ll see if they can maintain that aggressive approach, guys. There’s a good screen. Shots good by Alexander Walker. And the Timberwolves lead by three. It’s been like this all night for both teams. The offenses having their way. Any ling action so far has been shortlived because there have been nothing but buckets in this one. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. It’s a chance for them to regroup and refocus. Minnesota making some changes. Rudy Gobear is checked in for Reed. Ando comes in for Alexander Walker and it’s McDaniels in for Dante Devincenzo and with an update from the sidelines. Let’s check in with David Aldridge. Thanks Kevin. Well, Steve Kerr talked to his team during the break now with this game up for grabs. Coach told his guys to think positive. He said, “We know this game is ours, fellas. We’ve earned it. I need you to show me right now that you want this.” And they get it done. We’ll see, guys. Thank you, David. A shot by Butler. Nobody around and the Warriors miss again. You know what though? Sometimes you can be too open. It may have surprised him and that’s why he missed. Conley kicks to Edwards. Back to Conley. Curry with the steel. And here’s the break. Here’s Heel. And then Heel with the jump. Explosive play by Heel taking off and slamming that one down before the knee could react. Pass to McDaniels. Handle with the ball. Defended by Butler. Handle. No good. And you could tell he thought that triple was going to fall. Butler finishing at the other end. You got to tag Butler in transition. He’s got the quickness and athleticism to shred defenses in the open floor. Connley feeling it out. Butler against Randle. Go with a screen on Butler. Sinks the three-pointer. Randle’s got 12 points here in the second half. Yeah, that’s two straight three-pointers they’ve allowed. Butler dishes to Green. Curry against Con. Rebounded by the Timberwolves. Not sure if he just ran out of gas or what. He’s been awful ever since the second half started. Not even been effective. And that one drops and the Timberwolves lead by four. Making the most of his opportunities. He’s been effective down the stretch. Pass to Pajki. Now here’s Green. outside. Butler healed outside shoots over McDaniels. He can’t hit. Minnesota leading by four. McDaniels passes to go. A Timberwolves working the ball around against Butler and contact on the shot. So, he’ll be shooting free throws here. It’s on Jimmy Butler putting the defender in the popcorn maker. I mean, Randall developing more tools every day. Shooting two. And the first one drops. Both free throws good from Randall. And the Warriors with possession here. Curry looking around to end the run and two free throws coming up. Unable to get that one to go with all the content. It’s going to be on Rudy Goar. And how about mixing it up inside there. Steph still a threat. That nimleness he has helps him to get that shot off. Free throw good. Curry miss. And both free throws good for Curry. And he doesn’t let the pressure get to him. Cool and confident from the line. Curry against Con to Randall. Green with the rebound. Green’s got doubledigit rebounds now in the game. Here’s Butler. Oh, and the jam by Butler. And Butler relishes this. I mean, he feels really comfortable going right at the defense at crucial points in the game against Mickey. No good from outside. And on an open look like that, he’s very good at making the recover. They kick out to Heer peeling out a bit and foul on the shot. He’ll shoot two at the free throw line. Finish. That’s the first. That narrows the gap to one. That one drops. He ties it up. Needed those and got terrific job at the line under pressure. And so Edwards will bring it up for Minnesota. He can’t get it to go. Great T that time from Green inside and Green slams it in. Fearless Draymond Green gets it done in the moment. Minnesota’s gone beyond the arc seven times here in the fourth and been successful three times. Oh, here’s Edward. Tight defense on him. Septe Golden State’s gotten just one of four three-pointers to go down for them here in the fourth. And so Steve Cerr calls for the timeout and he knows there’s no room for mistakes and wants everyone on the same page. Here’s Curry. There’s 47 seconds left in the game. And the quickness and change of pace of Curry makes him tough to stop. He sinks the clutch free throw. on the miss. And so is good on both free throws and that gives them the lead. Yeah, critical that he’s able to convert there. Now they’ve taken the lead and so Chris Finch calls for the timeout. The magnitude at this juncture in the game clearly warranting a timeout. Here’s McDaniels. Picked by Randall. Connley for three. That shot off the mark. Here’s Green. And you can’t get a bigger bucket than that. Well, that was one, two. He wanted the ball. Nobody else was taking that shot. Minnesota with the ball. And so Chris Bench calls for the timeout. This is a huge moment, folks, in this game. And he wants to be prepared. Heat up here. Oh, here is Edwards. He’s defended by Pajki. Minnesota gets it back and a new shot clock of 14 seconds. Randall against Butler. Four on the shot clock for three. Edwards misses the three, lets the three fly right between the eyes. A tremendous three to tie it up. And we’ve got a timeout called by Steve Kerr. Coach clearly feeling the necessity to regroup with so much at stake here. Heat. Heat. Here’s Curry. Yes. Well, you can see the connection these guys have. They ran the play well. The defense had no idea how to deal with it. So, it’s a narrow victory for the Warriors pouring out the W and they’ve edged in front in the series after an outstanding performance here in game three. Kevin, it sure was. When teams split the first two games of a series, game three means everything. They’re going into game four now, riding that high after this win. Well, that’ll do it, folks. Glad you can join us for the Western Conference semifinals. Outside Devontenzo Randall outside pass to Alexander Walker. Back to Randall and it’s in there. Randle’s got four points now in the quarter after a cold first quarter. They brought up their field goal percentage trying to build out this lead. Now they’ve got Stephen Curry. Gary Peyton the second is out there with Kaminga. Then it’s Moody and it’s Post in at the center locking down the middle. That’s the Warriors five. Guarding Steph is exhausting. You have to stay right on him, but he’s so good at drawing the foul. And this is his first trip to the line tonight. Green’s checked in for the Warriors. Pajimki comes in for Payton. Rudy Goar’s checked in for Minnesota. Mike Connley comes in for Clark. Find the lane. Find the lane. One shot. And that one falls for Curry. Think about the impact that Steph has had on this game. Him and his team have changed the way the game is played. They have ushered in the three-point error. Now here’s Connley. No points so far. Pass to Alexander Walker. There’s the block. Moody passes to Curry. There’s the triple. Randle pulls down the board. Randle’s got his fifth rebound in this one. Denzo with it. Back to Randall. A tear drop. Oh, and there’s the whistle on the shot. So, two free throws for him coming up. It’s going to be on Jonathan Kaminga. And over the years, Randall has stepped up his role. An assertive scorer and a natural leader. The free throw dropped for Randall. Certain guys can remake their games to fit the times. Randle’s worked on his right hand and his jump shooting. He’s a much more versatile threat now at the offensive end. Second free throw no good. And even though he hasn’t been himself, it hasn’t affected his team too much. They’ve still got the lead. Pass to Curry. Back to Moody to the middle. The kick out. Curry. Six to shoot. And Connley grabs the miss. Slow going for him this quarter. The defense putting up a good fight. Conley a screen on Kaminga. The three. Randle and a Steph. Curry with the rebound. And I’m surprised that didn’t go down. I mean, I’m sure he is too. Oh, got that bucket in no time at all. Curry’s got five points now this quarter. Got the defender on his heels right there. And Curry capitalized. What a finish. Randle outside. No good that time. Green with the defensive effort and the winning, but it hasn’t been because of him. He can’t throw in the ocean so far. The shot by Pajimky. No good. Minnesota leading by three. Here’s Devenenzo and a missed layup. That is a disaster. Honestly, I’m embarrassed for him. inside. Alexander Walker grabs the board. Just enough resistance to force the miss barely. That’s one he’ll generally make. Defense pulled out all the stops to shut him down there. Right side. Moody. Oh, serious gut checkpoint from Moody. They’re punishing those late defensive rotations, getting good looks inside throughout the half. And Chris Fench calls timeout here. Coach wants to speak to his guys, maybe alter some of the game plan. And the Warriors make some changes. Jimmy Butler’s checked in for Kaminga. And it’s Buddy Heield in for Moody. The Timberwolves also with a sub. McDaniels checked in. Here’s Connley still without a bucket. Pass to Randall. And the rebound goes to the Warriors. Butler’s got four rebounds now. And here’s Pajki outside Curry. Now Butler. Fearless play from Butler. Defenses should know he’s going to try and draw a foul while shooting. He’s gone three or four from the line. No good on the free throw. And at this point of his career, Butler wants to win. And boy, does he ramp up his performance in the playoffs, especially in recent years. And Minnesota making a change here. Alexander Walker’s checked in. That one drops. He ties it up. Minnesota’s gone two of four from the perimeter in the second so far. Picked by Goar. The Warriors pull it in. Butler’s got his fifth rebound in this one. This has been a close game in a lot of ways, but they do have an edge on the boards. Green against McDaniels. Pass to Alexander Walker. Goar with a screen on Curry to the paint to stop the drought. Go Bear not bothered by the D. Yeah, and Gobear’s teammates encourage him to seek out his offense, especially when he’s this deep. outside heel outside. Pajki and a great assist by Butler as that one goes. Pajimski’s got seven points. Love how selfless he is setting break screens like this. Plays like that right there are what help create easy scoring opportunities. Now here’s Randle. Nine points in the game. Here’s Butler. Misses off the right iron. And for the Timberwolves, they’re shooting around 33%. Not the best offensive efficiency. Man, the defender really went after him. This is his first opportunity at the line this evening. First one falls for him. And the Warriors making a switch here. Kuminga’s checked in. And the Timberwolves also making a change. Dillinghams checked in for Devon Chinszo. And so he makes both from the line. And so it’s Butler who brings up the ball for the Warriors. outside. Pajimsky. The three and the three-pointer goes. Pajimski’s got five points now this quarter. He just makes it look so easy on offense. Wait, who takes pleasure in torturing defenses? He does. Now here’s Randall. Nine points in the game. That’s good from Dillingham on the assist from Randall. Randle’s got six assists now in the game. The Warriors have gone six of 14 in the second quarter. Pass to Butler. Gets rebounded by Minnesota. Randall with it. The three is up. Kuminga pulls it in. Kuminga’s got rebound number five here tonight. Outside Green outside heel three-pointer and the Warriors with another three. You should be looking for Hill. What a great pass. The Timberwolves trail. Here’s Dillingham. Pass to McDaniels from deep. The long distance three is buried. McDaniels got his first three points of the game. This is just fun. These teams are trading threes back and forth. This is today’s NBA. Hey, we see this kind of exchange more often than not. Reigns the triple. Man, they’re having a hard time defending the triple. That’s three in a row. Over to the wing. looking to win this cold spell and the officials whistle a foul on the shot. The bucket is good and he’ll go to the line. Superior strength on display. Randall just refusing to let the defense slow him down there. He shot five of six at the foul line. Here’s Green. Hasn’t gotten one to fall yet. Outside Pajki. There’s a minute 40 left in the first half of this game. Good work defensively by Devincenzo. Minnesota in the lead. Pass to Shannon. Randle outside over Butler. Randle can’t hit. Golden State has gone six of 14 from the perimeter tonight. Green finds Butler. The three ball and it’s Green missing. He is just so deadly from out there. You expect that to fall. 14 ft away and the rebound goes to the Warriors. Green’s got five rebounds tonight. Back to Butler from 15 ft away. And the basket good. A bank shot that time. Butler’s got six. Whether it’s at the rim or in the mid-range, Butler believes he’s going to beat his man each and every time. Pass to Shannon. And he makes no mistake. Slam dunk. It’s been neck and neck this entire first half. Yeah, eight lead changes so far. These clubs are looking evenly matched. And how about our AT&T 5G slam cam? Couldn’t have captured that play any better. Golden State has gotten only four of nine from beyond the arc here in the second. Outside heel launches a three. Rebound Minnesota. McDaniels got his fifth rebound in this one. Three seconds separating the shot and game clocks. Oh, a beautiful reverse layup. Five points in the game. We’ve seen that more than once today. An effortless basket inside. Butler against McDaniels from behind the arc and there’s Butler. That one’s good on the assist by Kumingo. Outside Devenzo. Oh, and he just knocked down the buzzer beater. What an ending to the first half. A buzzer beating three to take the lead. What a performance for Julius Randall. He has been the story for the Timberwolves. Moving the rock and looking for a shot. It’s clear he’s in a good rhythm. We’re coming right back. Don’t go anywhere. Getting points from that second unit was clutch depth. protects you against injury, but it can also win a game for you. Yeah, those starters are going to have the fresh legs for the second half. Looking at the series breakdown for the Warriors, a dream start. Two wins on the road and now a chance to go up three zip at home. Well, they’re definitely sitting in a good place, but they got to watch their backs. Yeah, over. That’s it for us. Thanks for tuning in. Now, let’s send you over to Brian Anderson with the third period. And welcome back to our coverage of game three on 2K Sports. One of the stories here, Moses Moody getting it done today. Yeah, they’ve done an amazing job of creating room to operate for him and then of course executing. I like how they came into this one with a game plan and they’re just going out and executing it. Terrific job. Continuing our coverage of the Western Conference semifinals. Glad to have you back. So for Minnesota right now, Connley and Anne are the one of the two. Julius Randle out there with Jaden McDaniels and it’s Goar in at the center position showing off those instincts that make Connley such an offensive threat. Makes a good call and opts for the floater outside Green. Man, he made sure to get his money’s worth on that foul. It’s his first trip to the line. And the first one at the line is good. The quintessential blue guy. Green does all the dirty work. You need one of these guys on your team because he has such a diverse skill set. And both free throws good for Green. A vocal leader both on and off the floor. Green plays with a real fire in edge. Connelly passes to Go outside. Edwards. Oh, Edwards bringing the heat. Attacking the rim with power. Tremendous finish. Outside heel to the inside. Here’s Green. Good. And Butler gets the assist. Green’s got four points this quarter. That’s just bully ball. Green knows where he wants to go and no one can do anything about it. Pass to go. Now here’s McDaniels from deep. Knocks down the triple. McDaniels got eight points. Three straight buckets to start the half. This is how they wanted to come out and execute. Outside heel. Butler with the ball. Green. A screen down low. Oh, Green dropping the hammer. Look at how effectively Green uses his body. just working the defense with the screen and making some room for himself. Pass to McDaniels. This one for three. The shot no good. Their first missed after hitting three straight shots. But I like their aggressiveness coming out of the half. Oh, Curry. What a tough finish. How do you stop Curry? Well, in a short answer, you can’t. Conway looking for an opening. Inside Butler with a steal. Oh, what a fast break for the Warriors. Curry with the hustle and another great assist. The offense is really clicking now. And so it’s Edwards who brings up the ball for the T- Wolves. Outside Connley pass to McDaniels to the paint. Here’s Gobear and Gobear with the stuff. They’re just so mobile at his size. Once Gobear sets the screen, he rolls hard to the right spot. Outside Pajki back to Curry outside. Butler. No good. A bit long that time. And that’s their first miss after hitting four in a row to start the half. Pass to go. Hook loose. And here is Green. Six points for him. Here’s Pajinski to the middle. And he was fouled while in the act of shooting. So, he’ll take two free throws. The game of green. It’s about testing the defense, finding their weak spots. This is his second trip to the free throw line in this one. That one’s off. And Minnesota making a change here. Devenzo’s checked in. Back on this one. And he can’t get the second one to drop either. Coming up empty that time for three. Connley. That’s in. Coming off an assist from Randall. Randle’s got assist number eight now on the night. Some slippage at the defensive end here in the second half, allowing the offense to establish more of a rhythm. Now here’s Heel pass to Butler. Six on the shot clock. Look at Curry shaking off the contact. Very little resistance around the rim right now. That’s the fifth straight bucket they’ve given up in the paint. And Chris Finch calls timeout here. He wants a few moments to regroup with his players. Yeah. Heat. Heat. Heat. So, it’s Minnesota now. Three-point lead. Here’s Connley. It’s not going to go for him. Green with the defensive effort. The Warriors have got five of six shots to fall so far in the third. Fast break Minnesota. Here’s Randall. Oh, and he took a hard foul on the shot. So, he’ll head to the line to shoot a pair inside. You have to try something to stop Randall. But he gets physical right back and draws a good shooting foul. Three trips to the line so far for him in this one. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. First free throw is good. And Randall drops them both. Warriors trail by five. Outside Curry. Butler. A screen on Connley. And here’s Curry for three. They get it back. And he’s going to the line for two. The officials saw contact while he was going up. I like when Green looks the score. He’s good at putting defenses in a bind. Well, we’ve seen him miss a couple from the line. He’s two for four so far. Free throw good. Green and both free throws good for Green. Here’s Connley. He’s got five. Pass to go. McDaniels with it. Outside. Connley now. Randall. McDaniels with it. Clock at six. Blocked. Love the effort in defense from Hill. When he’s engaged, he can come up with blocks. Warriors trail by five. outside PMski back to Butler and it’s Goar with a rebound. Well, his shooting is unfortunately not a big thing and his lackluster accuracy is probably the thing that’s keeping him. Back to Congress. That’s coming off an assist from Randall. Randle’s got assist number nine now. What an effort here tonight. Now Curry, he’s got 16. And the basket by Heel. You got to expect this from a high volume shooter with range right here. He loves to let threes fly from everywhere. Steven Chenzo driving. Warriors with the rebound. Takes a three and heel. good for three and it’s now just a one-point Timberwolf lead and this is how he shines. He’s a big part of their floor space. Yeah, you got to know where he is at all times, especially when he’s running around the perimeter ready to fire. Everyone in the building saw the obvious contact. And this is his second and third free throws tonight. ties it up and his next one could give him the lead. Dominga, he’s checked in for Heel. Alexander Walker, he’s checked in for the Timberwolves. And that one drops. So now they lead by one. And it’s a luxury to have a great shooter like him at the line. Very rarely see him miss. Randle outside. Curry against Connley. Pass to Goar and the foul called on Draymond Green. That’s his third foul of the game. And you got to be in awe of incredible defensive efforts like this. You know that block has him and his teammates all pumped up. That is what playoff basketball is all about. So it’s Minnesota now. Picked by Goar for three. He’s even hauled in by Curry. Golden State has gone two of three from outside so far in the third quarter. Green with a screen on Goar and again no good by Golden State. Yeah, no triples for him here in the second half. Only fell in the first though. Can he turn it up? It’s stolen by Kuminga going all the way to the rack. That’s good from Curry on the assist by Kuminga. Curry’s got 10 points here in the second half and taking a quick gander here at the hustle stats for the Warriors. They’ve been defending with excellent anticipation all game long. Just look at how many times they’ve managed to get their hands on the ball. Well, another major factor in the offensive performance was the fast break, converting on those chances when they get them tonight. Now here’s Kaminga. Yet to see a basket pass to Green outside. Kajimki. Four on the clock. Green with a screen on Denzo. Launches it from deep. Rudy Gobear with a rebound. Gobear’s got his sixth rebound on the night. Devenenzo can’t hit. Defense kind of roll the dice there. And I’m a little surprised that it ended up going their way with the miss. Butler finds Curry. Back to Butler. Butler focused under pressure. I wouldn’t say Butler seeks contact, but he sure doesn’t turn it down. Randle outside. Conley against Curry. Out of bounds. It’ll be Warriors ball. So, it’s both teams making substitutions here. Here’s Golden State. They’re on a 16-6 run. Butler surveying the floor. Oh. Oh, tough work inside from Butler. The D hasn’t been quick enough to react to the ball inside. That’s helped cause this one. Outside Cley. Another miss by Minnesota. And they’re doing strong work on the glass. A plus five advantage for them. Butler can’t get it to go. Timberwolves trail by seven. Right side. Alexander Walker. Randle outside. Nice move. And he lays it in. Randle’s got 16 points. And Randall is a gamer. Someone who’s experienced at overcoming intense coverage from this area of the floor. Pass to Pajimski outside Kaminga and here’s Moody and there’s a pick to the inside. Here’s Bo and down it goes. Dumped it through off a beautiful setup. Woo! Defensively, you can’t afford to let him get to the rim that easily. Well, that might be why their deficit is what it is right now. Yeah, it’s going to take better rim protection than that if they’re going to climb out of this hole. Now here’s Reed. He’s got five. Randle and it’s Randall with the jam. Wow. Julius Randle. We could feel the floor shaking on that one. Pass to Pajimsky to the paint. Knocked away. Here’s Post and he banks in the layup. Post has gotten four this quarter. That’s 10 straight points they’ve given up in the painted area. Outside Devenzo. Randall with it. Butler covering. Randle can’t hit. The Warriors lead by seven. Butler on the bounce. Pass to Pajimski. He can’t get that one to fall. Randall with some nice D. And here’s Connley defended by Pajki with a nine-footer. A shot by Connley. No good. I don’t know if you can credit the defense for that. It was just a missed opportunity to the middle. Playing with passion. Butler is never scared of a challenge. A wing who battles inside. So far tonight, he’s gone four of six at the line. And he makes a first. Payeyton’s checked in for the Warriors. And the Timberwolves also making a change. Clark’s checked in. on the miss. Both shots good from the strike. In the second half, their free throw percentage has improved, hitting in the low 80s now. Randall outside has to Reed down low tipped and it’s Jimmy Butler with the foul. That’s his third foul of the game. We’ve got 33 seconds left in the third quarter. Alexander Walker, the pass to Reed. A slam dunk by Reed. Oh yeah, that’ll do it. Wow, an emphatic two-handed slam. There’s no debate there. He got hammered. And the free throw numbers, six of eight so far. And he knocks down the first one. Push it on the miss. Push it on the miss. Butler hits them both at just about 85% from the line tonight. They’ve looked more and more comfortable as the game’s gone on. Peyton against Steven Enenzo inside. Here’s Randall. And it’s Randall with the jam. While he’s a bit undersized for a four, he more than makes up for it with his bounce. Puts up a deep three. No good on the buzzer beater. And we’ve reached the end of the third. The Warriors on top, they lead by seven. And right after this, we’ll bring you the start of the final quarter right here on 2K Sports. And it’s time now to bring you our State Farm assist of the game. Now, I know he’s a big man, but he’s got some point guard in him if he’s making passes like this. And for the defense, it’s so tough to guard a big man with that kind of court vision and dime dropping ability. And this is it. Glad to have you along for this fourth quarter. Gary Pton the second is out there with Kaminga. Then it’s Moses Moody. Then there’s Stephen Curry. And it’s post in at the pivot spot. Manning the middle. That’s the Warriors five for three. Even Enenzo drops in the three. His first triple of the second half. Can he get it going? And so it’s Curry with it. He brings it up for the Warriors. Their biggest lead of the game was nine. Fires for three. The put back. Oh, he hangs in there and cashes in on the second chance points. I’ll tell you what, they’ve been aggressive and they’ve been physical. Edwards has to read to Edwards. Poked away. Shot clock at six. Off to Denzo. And again, it’s Minnesota with a three. This is his second three this had. He’s getting even more bold at that arc. The Warriors lead by three. Now here’s Curry. Pass to Kaminga. Shoots over Reed. Garza grabs a board. Timberwolves trail by three. Clark finds Edwards. No good. Nice team from Moody. The Warriors have gotten just one shot to fall out of three attempts of the fourth. Here’s Kuminga. Oh, Kuminga. Just a menace inside. Can’t ask for a better look with the game in the balance. Minnesota has gone two of two from outside so far in the fourth. Denzo pass to Clark. Jacks up a three. the offensive rebound. And when the game is this close, you have to go all out. He certainly understands his role, huh? When the shot goes up, just crashes the offensive glass. He’s just giving them everything he has. It’s why his teammates appreciate and enjoy playing with him. On target from range, he has the fastest shot in the game of basketball. Curry’s release is so quick that the D can’t afford to lay off him at all. Now here’s Dvenenzo. Here’s Edwards and it’s out of bounds. Last touch by Moody and the Warriors making a change here. Pajimski’s checked in. The Timberwolves also with a sub. Connley’s checked in for Devenzo. Reed passes to Clark. Now here’s Edwards. Just five to shoot and Edwards slams it in. You got to bring more muscle if you want to stop Edwards from scoring. He’s gifted at converting through contact. Kaminga with a screen on Edwards. Outside Curry, takes a 13-footer and off the front iron and in it goes. Curry’s got 15 points in just the second half. The offensive success is due in part to his quality shooting. He hasn’t wasted too many. Pass to Edwards. The three is up and again for three and he’s letting it fly from long range to devastating effect and has now tied the franchise record for triples in a playoff game. Now here’s Moody. Clark covers. Minnesota’s got three threes to fall out of four attempts here in the fourth. Outside Conley and he loves it up top. Clark, no good. Almost a highlight reel play. Hey, you have to appreciate the effort there. Here’s Post and that one is stopped right through. Oh, this one has turned into an absolute nailbiter. The three is up and it’s cleared by Stephen Curry. And so it’s Curry with it. He brings it up for the Warriors. Their biggest lead of the game was nine. Here’s Post. Hey, he’s now six for six. He is cooking right now. Just a textbook lead pass right there. Putting it right where it needed to be. Curry against Connley. It’s Edwards on the wing. Edwards muscles it inside. Wow. And just working his way inside. Keeping Edwards out of the paint is not an easy task. And there’s the whistle. The illegal screen is the call. They’ve gotten pretty sloppy with the ball here in the second half. You can get away with one once in a while, but it looked like he wasn’t completely set on that pick. You got to blow the whistle when it’s that obvious. Great call there by the official. Peyton’s checked in for the Warriors. Miller’s checked in for the Timberwolves. Connley passes to Miller left side. Edwards and Edwards slams it in. And the offensive firepower Edwards is capable of is special. I mean, we are seeing it on full display right now. Pass to Pajimsky. Here’s Kaminga. Reed defending. Right side. Moody over Clark. Miller pulls it in. Minnesota in the lead. Outside. Edwards. The kick out to Conway. Miller screen on Curry. Here’s Connley. Kaminga. Pulls it in. Kuminga’s got seven rebounds in the game. Pass to Pajimski. Kamingo with it. The shot comes out. Nice D from Reed. Minnesota’s gone three for five from three-point land since the end of the third quarter. Connley finds Miller. Now Edwards defended by Pachki. Here’s Miller. Sends it home from three-point land. And the Timberwolves lead by four. And how about Edwards keeping his head up and spotting the open man. And Steve Kerr calls timeout here. Coach clearly has something he wants to say to his team right now. And some changes here for the Warriors. Green’s checked in for Kaminga. Butler comes in for Payton. And it’s Buddy Heield in for Moody. gives us a chance to catch up with Ally Leforce. During that break, coach Steve Kerr had some advice for the team. Coach told them to adjust on defense, saying, “They’re calling it tight right now. We can keep the same effort, but less reaching in and all that. Don’t let them beat us at the line.” Send it back to you, Brian and Ally. Thank you for that. Timberwolves on D. Four-point game outside. Curry pass to heel. Will it go? Rebounded by the Timberwolves. McDaniels got six rebounds here tonight and he recovers it. Edwards can’t hit. Golden State has gone one for three in the fourth quarter from range. Outside Pajki. Butler against Randall. Back to Pajki. Oh, good D by Edwards. Timberwolves lead by four to the middle and it’s Randall with the jam. Great awareness from Ant to locate his teammate for the score. The Warriors have gone just six of 14 in this final quarter. Curry with it. He’s picked up by Connley. Outside Heel, the three ball drops and it comes off an assist from Curry. He’s got nine points here in the second half. You got to love when those fire on the court especially when it’s two or die time. Connelly a screen on heel. McDaniels from long range burries it from three and just a painful blow right there. I mean eyeing the lead. They give up a big triple. Connley against Curry. Puts up a deep three. Oh, Curry making it look effortless. I think we knew who was firing off the shot here. Curry is just too consistent not to be trusted with it. So against Green pass to McDaniels from deep. Connley Warriors with the rebound on the wing. Curry to the inside. Oh, McDaniels with a steal. Here’s Randle. And here’s Edwards. Edwards for the foul. And Edwards slams it in. Wow. Edwards almost makes it look effortless like the whole team wasn’t holding their breath right there. Connley against Curry outside for Green. Takes a three. Green able to hit from three. This man has been in these moments so often. Nothing can take Draymond’s focus away. A minute four left in the final quarter. Edwards can’t hit. You got to move past that one. I mean, they’d want him to take that again. Yeah, it’s a great look for him. One will try and manufacture again. Those are the shots you want him to take. Now here’s Curry. The floater and he buries it and he’s tied it up. What a shot. Talk about stepping up in a big way. What a huge play coming through when it matters most. And Chris Finch has called timeout. There is a lot on the line and he is determined to make sure everyone’s on the same page. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. 46 seconds left in the fourth. Here’s Edwards. Cash. Some players shrink when the pressure’s on, but he lives for these moments. And Steve Kerr calls timeout. And coach didn’t want to take any chances in this situation, which is why he called the to0. Heat up here. Here’s Curry. Oh, he nails it. A huge shot to tie it up. When it is crunch time and you’ve got Stephan Wardell Curry, the game plan is simple. Get him the ball. Now here’s Edwards. It falls. And you got to love the mentality of Anthony Edwards. He wants to be the star. He wants the spotlight. Not everyone is like that. And Steve Kerr calls timeout. Critical moment here. He’s not taken any chances. What’s the best strategy for him? A chance to tie it up here. And you also have to wonder if they’ll try for a three, but they’ll probably try for a two. But if something opens up outside, I doubt that they will hesitate to take it. 7sec difference between the shot clock and the game clock. Curry passes to Heel. Now Pajimski. Here’s Curry. on the wing. Green just four to shoot. Two shots. Relax on the first. So, the first one drops and that narrows the gap to one. Butler hits him both. And in a close game like this, they can really rely on him to take care of business at the line. And Chris Finch has called timeout. The pressure is on and he’s got a plan to share with his guys. Heat up here. Here’s Edwards to the paint outside for Randall. Fires the three. No good from three-point range. Regulation has ended and we are headed to overtime. We’ve got more hoops coming your way. And now we get set for overtime in what has been a stirring contest. Here we go. And here’s Connley. Curry and Pods make up the back court. Draymond Green is out there with Butler. And it’s heel in at the three. Out of bounds. It’ll be Warriors ball. Here’s Butler. Pass to Heel outside. Green. Heel. The screen on Goar. Green for three. Randle pulls down the board. Brandle’s got 12 rebounds here tonight. Big time effort. Here’s McDaniels. Hook it. And it’s Brandle with the assist. And so it’s Curry with it. He brings it up for the Warriors. Outside. Butler. Pass to Kimky. Outside heels to take the lead. Gets rebounded by Minnesota. McDaniels got his seventh rebound of the game with that last one. Conway finds McDaniels. Randall outside. And here’s Edward. Fires from deep. And another dime for him. This is the best someone could run in offense. Pinpoint passes. Everyone involved. Every time he touches the ball, great things happen. And he’s now tied for the franchise record for assists in a game. A masterful performance. Curry. No good. When he’s got the ball, those inside looks are usually money. Despite the miss, they should keep going to that. Down low, Travis Randle with the jam and adding to this lead right now, riding a wave of momentum. Yeah, they’ve locked in during this stretch. If they keep it up, their lead will only continue to grow. Outside heel, they need this. Randle pulls down the board. Randle’s got 13 rebounds in the game. Glass eating fast break. Here we go. Here’s Curry. And so he draws the foul. Headed to the line to shoot a pair. It goes on Mike Connley. So cunning on the attack. Curry gets defenders to foul on the drive cuz there’s nothing else you can do. And that one falls for Curry. And so Curry nails both of them. The Timberwolves lead by five outside. Connley. McDaniels against Heel. Now here’s Connley. defense right on him. The defense tries to stop Connley with the foul, but he shows great poise and manages to get it off. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. The first one falls. Then Connley drops them both. They’re one of the best leaders in the NBA. This team loves having Mike Connley in their locker room. And a deep three from Curry. Rebound. Minnesota. Go Bears got rebound number 10 tonight with that last one. Here’s Randall. Rebounded by Green. Warriors trail by seven. Pass to Curry. You never want to foul Curry. He’s pretty much the best free throw shooter ever. The first free throw is good. And so Curry nails both of them. He showed a lot of composure that trip to the line. Now it’s almost a onepossession game. Three minutes now gone here in OT. Here’s Edwards. Oh, a dunk and a foul. A powerhouse move. He’s got a chance for one more at the line. It’s going to go on Draymond Green. Find the length. Find the length. Throw good. Edwards. Well, we know Edwards has an impressive skill set, but what really separates him is the competitive edge that he plays with. Conley against Curry. With the depth they have at that spot, they’re more equipped than most teams to handle that kind of loss. Put it on the first and that narrows the gap to seven. And so Curry nails both of them. The Timberwolves lead by six. Devincenzo the pass to McDaniels. That’s tip. Butler with the ball. Randle’s in his pocket. He shoots over Devonzo. He hits the pack iron and sinks it. Curry’s got 40 points. And Stem relishes taking key shots. It’s what he’s out there to do. Now over 3 and 1/2 minutes through this overtime period. Anthony Edwards takes the contact. And it only makes sense to give him the rock again. He put the team on his back all game. Yeah, just keep feeding him. That guy is a man on a mission. And the defense bros. Curry gets the bucket. This is what Curry does best. He is so creative and getting into rhythm and sting. And here’s Edwards outside. Rebounded by Green. And he almost made them regret defending him so loosely. Oh, a clear foul there on the missed shot. So, he’ll get a pair at the line. Rudy go there picks one up. Heading play to stop that easy layup right there. I mean, make him earn it at the line. Let’s get it. Get it. Oh, the first of two. No good. A heartbreaker. have a second and two is good and that narrows the lead down to just three. And by missing that free throw now a three could even the score. Not ideal. Here’s Edwards and Edwards slams it in. Oh my goodness. Anthony Edwards. Wow. And Steve Kerr calls timeout. And a great call on his part. This is the time you want to be in sync right here. Enzo against Curry. Out to heel outside. Pajki Butler on the wing. Check by Randall. Back to Pajki. Just three to shoot. Money and he’s brought them to within two points now. When you talk wings, Butler is a top-notch passer. He has a great understanding of the game and I think we’ll see him milk the a bit. Yeah, seems like the head move right now. He hits the first one and that makes it a three-point lead. So, he goes two for two at the line and it’s a four-point ball game. gets them to fall. And those are huge free throws. It’s now a two- possession game. And the Warriors call time here. 19 seconds left to play in overtime. Given the situation here, what sort of strategy needs to be top of mind? And they’re going to have to work fast coming out of the timeout. Yeah, no time to waste. They basically have to execute things perfectly from here on out. Here’s Curry. Oh, rejected by McDaniels. Right side, Edwards. Randall outside. And now we’ve got an intention. Two minutes now played in the second quarter. Edwards finds Devenenzo. Clark up top. Pass to Alexander Walker. Edwards with it. Defended by Moody. Edwards can’t hit. We’ll have a hard time shaking that one off. Perfect position. Plenty of space. Just clank it. So with Butler sitting on the bench, here’s the group that Steve Cerr has on the floor. Nate is out there doing it for me. Then there’s Stephen Cerr. Then there’s Moody and it’s post in at the center. It’s simple, guys. Keep getting Edwards the ball and just let it cook. Moody the pass to Kirk. Here’s Post outside. Kaminga. Go get it. to Curry. Down to five on the shot clock. Now here’s Moody. And again, it’s the Warriors missing Jenzo against Curry. Up top, Devenzo. Alexander Walker with the ball. Back to Clark. and Curry pulls it down. Warriors trail by five. Payton right side and uh almost four minutes gone here in the second quarter of play. It’s Clark with the rebound and Clark has got the ball here for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Their defense has only allowed four points in the quarter. Shots good by Alexander Walker. Well, that that’s one way he can finish, but far from the only way he gets it done. He’s got all kinds of tricks up his sleeve. Golden State moving it around. Kaminga the pass to Curry. Golden State needs to get off a shot. Payton from outside. A rebound by the Timberwolves. Reeves got six rebounds here tonight. A slight advantage for them in the rebound department, but that and again for three. And he’s letting it fly from long range to devastating effect. And he’s now tied the franchise record for triples in a playoff game. Count that bucket. Dominguez got four points this quarter. really showing some strength on that bucket. Kaminga getting more used to finishing through that kind of contact. And so Chris Finch calls for the timeout. He wants to regroup and go over the strategy. Draymond Green, he’s checked in for Golden State. Pajki’s coming in for Moses Moody. Go’s checked in for Minnesota. Mike Connley comes in for Dante Deenzo. Here’s Edwards. The Warriors pull it in. They come into this one after losing on Sunday. Uh in the NBA, you’ve got to keep pace. It’s a fast track out there. And I thought their lack of hustle defensively was the story of a game. You can’t allow any opponent to shoot that kind of percentage. If you do, it’s just going to be so tough to keep up. Always fun to look at. Not tremendously efficient, but the floater, boy, those sure are pretty. pass to Alexander Walker. Back to Conley to the middle. Just fine on the clock. It’s stolen by Kinga. Here’s Payton. And Payton throws it down. Payton with just big time vertical. Timberwolves leading by four. to go bear back to come. Five time on the clock. Here’s Alexander W. with a triple. Curry pass it to Green and so the ball out of bounds. Go Bear touched it last and the Warriors with some changes. Butler, he’s checked in for Jonathan Kaminga. And it’s Buddy Heel in for Gary Payton. Timberwolves also changing it up. Julius Randle’s checked in for Reed. And it’s McDaniels in for Nquille Alexander Walker. Curry kicks the buck. Count that one. And the Minnesota lead has been cut down to just two points with the bucket from Stephen Kirk. Beautiful job closing the gap here. Let’s see if they can sustain this run. Well, they’ve shown both effort and will to get back in this one. But can they finish this one off? Can’t let up now. And he gets the whistle. Two free throws coming up. And this is the right play by sticking with the motion and ensuring he gets to the line. The Timberwolves bit six free throws in 10 attempts. He misses the free throw. Payton. He’s checked in for the Warriors. And he’s good on the second. still a solid point guard in this league. When Connley is healthy, he makes a considerable impact on both ends. Green with a screen on Randall. Here’s Butler and rebounded by McDaniels. You’re not going to see that very often. Plenty of space, but he just, let’s face it, he whiffs on that. Pastor Randall back to Conley. And here’s Edwards from deep. That one is no good. He is six for 11 in the game. This is a rough stretch right here for him offensively. Seems to be rushing shots. And it just seems that every pass they make is leading to a score. Just great ball movement. And a closer look here at the hustle stands for the Warriors. Right off the bat, they’re going after the ball, looking to jump into the passing lanes and create some steals in transition. And I don’t know if everybody’s getting in this block party flow, but that’s what’s happening tonight. They’ve done a great job of being aggressive on all the shooters. Minnesota making a switch here. Venenzo’s checked in. And we’ve got a timeout called from Chris Finch. This will give them a chance to discuss some potential alterations. Go. Randall with a screen for Goar. McDaniels with the bounce back and finished off by Goar. And all of that size rolling there after that screen. Go moves now with such confidence when in the pick and roll. There’s the screen. He kicks to Green. Six to shoot. shooting foul as the whistle blows. He’ll shoot two free throws. It’s going to be on Rudy Goar. Yeah, we know he’s undersized for the position, but Draymond Green does the work of several men, including how he forces the D that time. A foul. Free throw drops for Green. That one misses it. So he goes one for two. Amazing to think about Draymond Green and the career arc he’s had thus far. He really can guard any position on the floor. He can make plays. Really a unique talent. Warriors trail by three. Outside Butler and out of bounds as the Timberwolves gain possession. Enzo Connley will bring the ball up for Minnesota. They’ve led by as much as 10. Goar dishes to Randall. Goar with a screen on but Randall tries again. It’s rebounded by Golden State outside. Baiton pass to Pajki. There’s the triple. Go pulls it in. Go’s got his fourth rebound in this one. Even Chenzo passes to Randle down low. Here’s Goar out to Connley. Randall against Heield. And oh boy, a lot of contact there, but he gets the call and will shoot two. One is on Heel. Randle tough guy to guard here as he uses that frame to earn another trip to the free throw line. The Timberwolves have made seven of their last 12 attempts at the line. First one falls for. And yes, there’s been growth in Julius Randall and his game year after year, adding little things, but this big man focuses on playing to his strengths. That one is no good. Warriors trail by four. Three-pointer. Heel. Good. Great play by Green to set it up. Heels got himself on the board with three there. Minnesota’s gone 104 from three-point lands in the second. Not a whole lot broken up there after that. To the middle. Here’s Randle. Out to Connley. Launches a three. Here’s Go. and finished off by Goar and Goar showing how much he wanted that basket. Healed outside. That doesn’t go on the chance to top. More good work on the glass there. When it’s all said and done, I think rebounding might tell the story in this game. The shots good from Devincenzo. Well, he’s got no problems getting inside if there’s that kind of room available. Dante with two. Butler pass it to Green now. Pajimki outside. Butler. Go pulls it in. Go has got his eighth rebound here tonight. Here’s Randall. Made that one. only his fourth of this game after firing 10 times from the floor. Denzel being a connector out there now outside Butler back to Pajki out to Payton shoots the three packs down the three ball. Payton’s got nine points. They’ve given up a lot of three-pointers here today. Randle outside. There’s 53 seconds left in the first half. Count it. Good. 13 points in the game. They’re finding lanes to the hoop now with consistency. Five buckets in a row from the paint. Outside Butler. Peyton up top. McDaniels defending. And rejection by McDaniels. angle down low working on Green. Warriors trail by six outside. Butler pass to Green. Payton looking around. Back to Green. Shot clock at five. And a little luck that time, but it drops. Green’s got six here in this quarter. Mid-range. Plenty of room for that release. He’s going to take those all day long. And that’s it for the first half of action. What’s been a very close game here. Timberwolves lead by four. And join us right back here after the break for the start of the second half. I know my partner here appreciates the brute force exports coverage of the Western Conference semifinals. You know, Anthony Edwards has been exceptional here, guys. There must be ice water in his veins. Such an important game and he plays superb basketball in that opening half. Still interesting to see if in this second half he can find ways to get to those same spots. And on the floor for Chris Finch as we get into the second half. Conley and Edwards are the guards. Julius Randall is out there with Jaden McDaniel. And it’s Goar in at the five. Connley against Curry. Curry on the drive. Can’t hit the free throw line jumper. And and they continue to control the break. Now here’s McDaniel. pass to Randle and there’s the bucket. Stay with it on the offensive glass getting it done. And now a 9-point Timberwolves lead outside. Butlery on the wing. He outside. Good on the three-point shot. He’s got six points. And these quick hitting plays are great for a quick set shooter. Heield scoring. Connley. The pass to Randall. Pass to McDaniels. Now here is Connley. The Timberwolves need to get a shot off here. Randle from outside and again Minnesota with the triple. Okay, good game plan. Start the second half. Three of four so far from the field outside. Butler Curry against Con up top. Curry. He’s got five. Curry getting it done inside. That’s tremendous balance. Steph’s ability to keep his composure in that tough situation. work in a tight space. That’s impressive. Randle against left side. Whistle blows. Basket is good. So, a chance here for a three-point play. Yeah, they’ve only missed one out of their first five shots here in the second half, guys. Their offense really moving well, ball snapping, and the shooting looks to be in great rhythm. Find the way. Find the way. Warriors trail by 10. Just over 2 and 1/2 minutes gone by here in the second half. Three-pointer heel. Minnesota with the rebound. Randle’s got rebound number five here tonight. Connley feeling it out. Pass to Edwards to the inside and Randle throws it down. Randall right now going to town on the defense and taking over this game. Connley against Curry. Here’s Green. Outside Curry. Oh, as Steph gets into the lane, he does a great job of shifting and moving the ball around and does not go away from the contact, forcing a foul. First trip to the free throw line for him in this one. The first free throw is good. And you know, with Curry, what impresses me most is his efficiency. That’s not something we normally see in a high volume jump shooter. Stephen Curry hits them both. Well, when he gets into a groove at the free throw line, doesn’t just last for tonight. This might be two weeks, two months, something like that. We got a timeout called from Chris Finch. He’s going to have a discussion here on the sideline. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Third quarter of basketball here in just a little under three and 1/2 minutes gone by. Back to Randall and that one clearly a foul. Gets the whistle and two shots coming up. Well, Randle can hold his own down on the inside with that physical frame. He shot well from the line tonight going four for five. Shoot two. That free throw good from Randall. Both free throws good from Randall. And here are the Warriors now down by 12. Outside Curr. Green the screen. Here’s Heield and he gets that one to go off the front iron. He’s got his third basket of the night right there. Minnesota leading by 10. Outside Connley pass to McDaniels. Three-pointer and that one falls coming off Connley’s feet. Connley’s got three assists tonight. That’s a high percentage look when the D doesn’t fight over the screen. Yeah, the coach over there just asking for one simple thing and that’s some effort. Got burned on that one. Curry. That’s good. On another level. Curry is totally ready to duel this one out from the three-point line. Randle outside. Back to Conley. Conley sets a screen for McDaniel. Right wing just four to shoot. Oh man, just using that experience. Conley adept at drawing contact and getting to the line. And guys, let’s get your take on the hustle steps for the Timberwolves. a high effort brand of defense has been paying off for them in this one. They’ve managed to either block or alter a ton of their opponent’s shots. And I feel like another part of tonight’s game has been the hustle, the hustle points, getting up and down, getting second chances, getting transition opportunities. They’ve been fantastic in that area. And he knocks down the first one. We’re still waiting for that first miss from the line this half. And the Warriors making a change here. Kingus checked in. And Connley drops them both. Warriors trail by 12. Now Pajimski. He’s got five. Green with a screen on Randall. But Muggler against Randle. Here’s PMski. Shock up two there. Pajki’s got seven points in the game. Here is Connley. And outside. I tell you what, he earned his money on that foul. Free throw line numbers for him, six of seven. two. That free throw good from Randall. Moses Moody, he’s checked in for Heels. Dante Denzo, he’s checked in for Minnesota. He’s perfect from the line this time. And here is Butler. Pass to Moody outside. Kuminga outside. Green fires the three and another three for Golden State. He doesn’t shoot it all that well, but when he does knock it down, it’s demoralizing for defense. And here’s Randall. Evanzo kicks to Edwards. Kaminga against Randall. Just five to shoot. Shoots it out to Connley. Randall against Kaminga. And he’s fouled pretty hard on that shot, but he’s got the chance to pick up the points at the line. Jonathan Kaminga picks one up. Wow. Wow. He got whacked on that one. Shouldn’t be much debate there. He’s been knocking down free throws tonight. Going eight for nine. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. That free throw good from Randall. Both free throws good from Randall. And his work at the free throw line has been terrific tonight, making the most of his chances. Vajky with it. Seven points in the game. Green with a screen on Randall. The shot by Butler. Nobody around. Off the mark there with the three-point shot. And they had some boxed coverage that turned into no cover. And Randall throws it down. Well, got the momentum. Randle’s a terror when he gets those steps underneath him right to the rack. Pass to Moody. Whose bad is that? Here’s Pajki. Over by Connley. Back to Butler. Green inside. Defended by Goar. It’s stolen by Devenenzo. And there’s the second dunk to finish it off. Sometimes it’s that first couple of steps and Devanchenzo was off to the races. Moody with it. Connley picks him up. Green against Goar to the paint out to the right wing. Here’s Kinga and it comes off the front of the rim. Yeah, and they’ve shown effort and aggression in the paint really right from the tip. Their rebounding edge right now massive. Stevenzo kicks to Randall. Butler against unloads from 13 and again no good by Golden State. This feels like it’s snowballed a little bit on them. The more he tries to shoot his way out of this slump, the worse it seems to get. They need him to get it together. It’s Edwards on the wing over Butler. Edwards no good. Warriors trail by 15. Butler gets a step and the layup’s good off the glass and that’s now seven points for Jimmy Butler. Man, it’s hard to stop on the drive. Butler’s strength and attitude right there coming in the finish. Pastor Randall plays it up off the glass. Randle’s got 33 points. Those defenders just look a little bit gassed. I mean, they’re getting pushed around on that low block. Butler pass it to Green. Kuminga with it. Picked up by Edwards. Butler with the ball. Green with a screen on Randall. Clock at four. And it’s Green with the jam. Well, Draymond’s being assertive here in this one. I I know he’s hot, so respecting the streak. Randall against B. Randall surveying the D. Nice defense from Kaminga. And here’s Kaminga. He’ll bring it up for the Warriors. It’s a 13-point game. House pass Butler. Pompeki. The shot’s good on the assist by Butler. Butler’s got four assists in the game. He’s been terrific tonight and with a little help from the other guys on the floor, they might be able to turn this game around near the three-point line and even Kenzone can’t nail the jumper. Teammates right now covering up for the type of off performance he’s having in terms of scoring. This has not been his best night. Minnesota leading by 10. Edwards kicks for Randall. We’ve got 155 left in the third quarter. You can’t get that one. Great tea that time from Green. Go Bear against Butler. Pass to Penski. They kick it out to Green. Launches from deep. Connley grabs the miss. Minnesota’s gotten the three ball working for them in the second half. They’ve hit three out of three shots from long range. Here’s Randle. The Warriors pull it in outside. Butler with the block. And when Go is playing with this kind of aggression on that end, there aren’t many better at defending. That’s the kind of D you need when he’s got the ball near the hoop. They were all over. Offensive rebound. Minnesota leading by 10 kicks for Randall to Oair. Outside Edward. to end the drought. It’s rebounded by Kaminga. Kaminga’s got six rebounds in the game now. 8 seconds separating the two clocks. Now Moody, he’s defended by Randall. Pass to Pajki. Back to Moody. Goes up from the top of the key. Rebound Minnesota. Connley’s got his fifth rebound in this one. Randall finds Edwards. That one no good. Julius Randle getting it done for the Timberwolves. What an amazing quarter. There was absolutely no stopping him. Back right after this. in a moment now as we take a look at our State Farm assists of the game. And he sliced the D wide open with this feed. They had no chance to prevent that basket. That’s what great passing will do for you right there. Dissecting the defense with that play. And we’re back with you all set to bring you more action from game three. So with Butler sitting on the bench, here’s the group that Steve Kerr has on the floor. They got Moody. Payton is out there with Jonathan Kaminga and it’s Curry and it’s post in at the center position. Payton outside shoots over Alexander Walker. Payton can’t get it to go. Timberwolves leading by 10. Now here’s Devenenzo. Pass to Clark. Reed with a screen on Kaminga inside and Reed throws it down. And he can do a lot more damage to the rim than that when he wants to. Oh, you’re right. Oh, and with the lead they’re enjoying, I’m surprised he didn’t put a little something extra on that one. Back to Curry. Wow. Magical moves inside from Steph Curry. What else can you say about Steph Curry? Simply one of the greatest shooters we’ve ever seen. Even Jenzo against Curry. Right side. Edwards back to Alexander Walker. Pass to Clark outside. Edwards from outside off the mark and still looking for his first triple of the second half. He had three at halftime. No good. Minnesota leading by 10. Venenzo decision that time pretty solid there taking the initiative and then taking the contact. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. That one is off. Definenzo, I think, is starting to take a lot of pride in the fact that he can do a lot of little things for the basketball team that add up. He scores, can get some rebounds and get some assists. He’s a weapon. On the second free throw, good. Warriors trail by 11. Go. Now Curry. Peyton outside. Back to Curry. Shot clock at five. The shot from 20 ft away. Uses the glass to drop it in. Curry’s got it back down within single digits for the Warriors. Curry against Devenzo to Alexander Walker left side. Edward fires the three. A shot by Alexander Walker. No good. You know what? They’re winning though despite the fact that he has just been really good. And Kaminga throws it down. Big time slam there from Kuminga. his coaches and teammates encourage him to get up strong like that. Curry against Devenzo. Pass to Clark. Free to the screen for Clark. Drains it from beyond the arc. He’s just stretching him out. The defense has got to do a better job of staying attached to him. I’m not sure what the defense collectively was thinking there. You got to know where he is at all times. Curry. A screen on Edwards. Peyton outside now. Here’s Kaminga. He’s covered by Clark. Payton left side. And there are the Warriors now with another bucket. Timberwolves leading by eight. And a little over three and a half minutes in the books so far here in the fourth. Here’s Clark. No good that time. Nice defense from Kaminga. And there’s the drive. Two free throws coming up and they call the shooting foul. Yeah, way to play in attack mode and get to the line. Got to get it. Let’s get it. Get free throw. Good. Moody Pajki. He’s checked in for the Warriors. The Timberwolves also with the sub. Mike Connley’s checked in for Dante Deincenzo. Good on both. This is as good as it gets from the charity strike here in the second. Timberwolves leading by six. Here’s Connley. Pass to Alexander Walker. gets in there. Connley with the assist. Connley has got assist number five here tonight. Yeah, how about the percentage they’re shooting from beyond the arc here in the second half. Back to Curry. Fires away from way outside. Reed with the rebound. Reeves got rebound number eight here tonight from the game. And this has been an outstanding display on the boards and it’s a big part of why they have a lead in this game. Doing the dirty work down low to Curry past the ark. Everything’s within Curry’s range. Well, he just nailed his second three of the half, guys. I’d be very aware of that if I were to defense right now. Clark outside. Reed with a screen for Clark to the middle and Reed throws it down. Oh, inflicting some punishment with the two-hand flush. Ah, they’re going for the throat. They set the pick. Here’s Pachki. They grabbed their own miss. And good work on the boards. They pick up the second chance points. He seems to be in the right place at the right time more often than anybody that’s on the court here tonight. You see that pay off. Pass to Edwards. Here’s Connley. Guarded by Curley. Lock at six. Connley gets the bucket and the Timberwolves lead by 10. Warriors have gotten into a pretty good groove going six of 10 here in the final quarter. Curry looking it over and a beautiful feed leads to a monster jam. Oh, nice speed. You can see how Curry makes their offense look even when he’s not scoring. Finley the pass to Clark. Con Finley with a screen on Kinga. Clark for three and the rebound goes to the Warriors. Post has got his sixth rebound on the night. Golden State moving it around. Pass to Curry. Stolen by Michael Connley. And here’s Edwards from the ark. And Moody pulls it down. Warriors trail by eight. Now Kaminga outside curve for the three. Ah Steph perfection from the arc. This is not a player who likes to be trailing in any game. That lights a fire. And so Chris Bench calls for the timeout. And that timeout by coach was carefully measured. Wanting to make sure that everybody is on the same page here. Minnesota making some changes. Go’s checked in for Reed. Randall comes in for Clark and it’s McDaniels in for Nquille Alexander Walker. Time now to turn to our sideline reporter, David Aldridge. David. Hey guys, here’s what Chris Finch went over with his guys during the break. Now, he heaped praise on the defense. He said, “The pressure is great. I love it. Keep making them make mistakes, guys. It’s working. He thinks they’re on the right track here, guys. Back to you.” Thank you, David. McDaniels dishes to Go. Pass to McDaniels. A shot right through the cylinder that time. All net. And so Curry will bring it up for the Golden State Warriors. They trail by seven. Now here’s Green and here is heel. Nick McDaniels defending. Curry against Conor. Just five on the clock from deep three-point land. It’s called in by Edwards. Edwards got five rebounds tonight and and really credit their advantage on the back. That’s where the lead has been built and that’s why they are in control. He’s played a huge role in this game to this point, but it looks like he just wants more. He wants to make sure that this lead holds up. Go against Green looking to end his cold spell. And it’s Butler missing. Timberwolves leading by nine. Ups Randle defended by Butler. Randle against Butler. Angle down low and Butler sends it back. And Jimmy Butler has incredible defensive instincts. Great timing on that block. Pass to Pajki, stolen by McDaniels. And now the Timberwolves on the break and finished off by McDaniels. That’s a pretty serious blow, guys. I mean, they are showing they want this game. Staying active defensively and putting up some quick points. Outside. Curry. Green with a screen on Curry outside. good for his ninth make in just 12 shots. That’s an even 75% shooting. And here in the fourth, he’s carrying this team right now. Five of seven from the field. Green against Goar. And here’s Connley outside. Buries it from three-point range and the Timberwolves lead by 11. Sweet to be a difference maker in a game and he’s been a great option for them on these possessions. and foul on the shot. So, he’ll get a chance at the line. Yeah, you don’t want to put Curry at the line. That’s just dangerous. And pretty much two points. Stephen, the best free throw shooter ever. The first one falls. Tell me the last time you watched Steph Curry on an NBA floor not have a smile on his face. I mean, always playing with that infectious joy. And both free throws good for Curry. And just a better job of getting to the line here in the second half. Didn’t get there once in the first. Timberwolves leading by nine. And here is Connley. Go Bear with a screen on Curry. Connley with the three. That’s good. Basket number five on a five for eight night shooting. I’ll tell you, you give Connley the ball and trust him to make the right decision. The free throw drops for Curry. Good. Stephen Curry hits them both. And the Timberwolves with possession here. Randle outside. There’s 159 left in the fourth quarter of this one. Here’s McDaniels. And again, Minnesota with the triple. Another good play. This is how they built the lead, calling on the right guys at the right time. Basketball IQ is something that gets talked about, but its importance to a team showing up here, running plays determining the score. I love the determination he showed there. Getting himself into good position under the glass with the presence of mind to know just where the rebound was going to come down. Well time. Here’s Edwards. Edwards making a statement. And he can take off from anywhere at any time. Edwards always a threat. Steps back and shoots. And with that shot, the Minnesota Le on the bucket from Stephen Pearl. And boy, he’s really in a groove. Dominant performance last game. Same thing this time out. Seems to be nobody standing in his way. No roadblocks for him to get to his spot, capitalize, and continue to be aggressive. And it’s Jaden McDaniels with the foul. That’s his third foul of the game. Yeah, really good defensive play to cut him off there and square up. And the replay demonstrating once again how aggressive that defense was. And this is postseason play at its finest. Refusing to give up shots here in the playoffs. Curry against Con 13 ft away. Knock that one. And the Minnesota lead has been cut down now to just nine in the bucket from Stephen Curry. The Timber shooting straight 49% from the field. Conley with it. Pass to McDaniels. Goar with a screen on heel. Here’s McDaniels and slam dunk by Goar. Finishing strong. This is how you want to close things out. Yeah, definitely putting a stamp on this one. A very very decisive victory for the club tonight. Curry finds Pajki. Rudy Goar with the rebound. He’s going to be shaking his head on that one. Knows he missed an easy one. Yeah, you can’t make them all. And you for sure you want him taking that kind of shot. Here’s Edwards and he could not get that one to go. A lot of contact and he’ll go to the line for two. And how about the commitment from Edwards refusing to give up on that play. Shooting two throw good. Edwards and Edwards drops them both. There’s 18 seconds left in the fourth quarter. And it’s Curry with the ball, bringing it up for the Warriors. It’s a 13-point game. And so it’s the Timberwolves taking care of business here. Things were looking bleak for him obviously coming into this game, but with tonight’s win, Greg, they are right back in it. And and that’s the fight this team has that they don’t care what the odds are. They are going to keep battling on the night. He’s two for two at the strike. and he knocks down the first one. Well, you got to appreciate how Butler inspires his teammates. He gives them someone to rally around on the floor. Sundler hits them both. And Minnesota with possession here, setting the floor for the Timberwolves and is at the two with McDaniels playing the three. Julius Randall out there with Rudy Gobear and it’s Connley in at the point guard position. And they’re plus five on the boards after that rebound. McDaniels against Heel. Now here’s Pachki. He’s guarded closely. misses from short range. Timberwolves trail by 21. Pass to Connley to the paint. Here’s Edwards. And Edwards slams it in. Well, when Edwards gets this hot, all an opponent can hope to do is limit the damage. A little under three and 1/2 minutes off the clock now in the third quarter. Curry gets the bucket. All game long. He’s been getting to his spots and the defense has yet to adjust. Outside Connley, I like seeing Connley look for his shot because it puts defenses in compromising situations. First trip to the free throw line for him in this one. and he drops a first. Well, the leadership and steadiness Mike Connley brings to his team can’t be overstated. A true locker room leader and a vet who sets a great tone out on the floor. And the Warriors making a change here. Kumingas checked in and that one goes in. Two from the line that time in the third quarter with just over three and 1/2 minutes off the clock. Outside Pajki pass to Heel inside. Here’s Green. And it’s hammered home by Green. What a nice read by Green. He’s got a basketball IQ off the charts. An incredible understanding of the game. Randle outside. The deep three. Warriors with the rebound. Heel passes to Butler outside. Pajki. Butler. Screen on Connley. Here’s Pachimsky. And the Warriors with another three. And this is what you want to do when you’ve got a big lead. You must stay aggressive. Yeah, they’re being absolutely relentless building this lead in every way possible. Pass to Randall. Butler with a steal. He’s all alone. And it’s Butler with the jam. You got to love the way Butler sets the tone defensively and then turns that defense into offense. Now here’s Edwards. He’s got 15. Back to Connley. Hard to shoot to the inside and stolen by Green. Kuminga against McDaniels outside Butler. There’s the three and Connley grabs the miss. And so it’s Connley who brings up the ball for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Outside Edwards Randall inside defended by Pachimsky. Pure from three-point range. Connley’s got 14 points. Just a veteran play by Connley there, giving the Dan no time to react off the catch. Pass to heel outside. Kaminga now. Here’s Pajki. Butler on the wing. shoots over Randall. Oh, and that one had the right spin on it. It’s good. 14 points for him. And as much as he loves to get to the rim, he’s more than comfortable with the Jimmy. And Minnesota calls time here. And the Warriors making a switch here. Moody’s checked in. The Timberwolves also with a sub. Dancenzo, he’s checked in for McDaniels. Outside Edwards back to Devincenzo. for three. Randall sinks the tray. Randle’s got 10 points now just in this quarter. Well, he’s been able to find points, just not enough of them. They’ve got to string together some more buckets. From the top of the key, the shot by Pajki. No good. Well, this is certainly not the game he was hoping for offensively, but they’ve been able to find points as a team even without his contributions. Now here’s Kaminga. He’s got five. There’s a screen. Uses the glass on the layup. Kaminga’s got seven points. And now we get a little perspective here on how the hustle game has been for the Warriors. Well, they’ve shown just outstanding effort defensively and it’s resulted in several forced turnovers. Well, they’ve also been impressive forcing a ton of mistakes. Not only that, but converting those mistakes into points on the other end. That is a rarity. When he takes flight, he usually hammers it home. Oh, wasted no time on that one. 16 points for him. Their interior D continues to look shaky. Not a good matchup for them right now. Randall outside. It falls again. He’s now eight for 12 from the floor. Yeah, nice play by Randall. He can take up space in there and has great short area quickness outside. Butler, they set a pick. Fires for three. Halled in by Deanchenzo. Devincenzo’s got four rebounds now. Pass to Randall. Just five on the clock. Some solid defense from Butler. That’s a defender doing just enough to cause a miss on the layup. And out of bounds. Minnesota will have it. Reeds checked in for Minnesota. Alexander Walker comes in for Anthony Edwards. Minnesota has gone three of seven from deep so far in the third quarter. Randall deciding where to go with it. Outside Alexander Walker. Six on the shot clock. The Timberwolves again can’t hit. And you have to think that they’re leading this game because of how they’ve controlled the boards tonight. Pass to Butler with it outside. Butler right through the D for the layup. Butler’s got 10 points in just the second half. There’s the competitiveness of Butler. I think he’s even better against great defense. Outside, Devenzo knocks it down from distance. Devenzo’s gotten himself on the board with a three there. He just brings a great feel for the game at the offensive end. Pass to Butler. So, it’ll be two free throws. He was fouled in the act of shooting. Well, Butler might be the toughest guy in this league. Fighting down low and this is his second trip to the line tonight. Shooting two. That’s good from Butler. Payton’s checked in for Pajki. The Timberwolves also with a sub. Clark’s checked in. He does not get the second one. Minnesota’s gone four of nine from beyond the arc since the break. Reed sets a screen for three. Randall and the rebound goes to the Warriors to the middle. Stolen by Reed. Deenzo with it. Peyton covering. Deenzo. The pass to Clark. Here’s Randall. Savage. Randall with the jam. And every season, Randall seems to shoulder more of the offensive load. It’s what allows him to dominate sometimes. Butler against Randall. Here’s Kuminga. The rebound by the Timberwolves. Randle’s got his fifth rebound in this one. Go to the paint. Here’s Clark. Oh, Clark with the slam. Nice pass inside. Making things easy for him. Butler with the ball. 19 points in the game. There’s a minute 12 left in the third quarter. Nice D from Reed. Devenzo on the wing guarded by Peyton. A slam dunk by Reed. Was showing off his power. Reed gave the dunk everything he had. The Warriors lead by 19. Butler with the ball. Randle’s in his pocket. Peyton finds Butler. Back to Peyton. Three-pointer. Rebounded by the Timberwolves. Randle’s got six rebounds here tonight. The shot off that time. Nice D from Moody. About 3 seconds between the shot clock and the game clock outside. Payton back to Moody outside. Butler and that’s good from 17 ft. Butler’s got 21 and he was dominant in their last outing and the same thing here tonight. He is in a terrific groove right now. Yeah, for sure. He is just oozing confidence. Thinks every shot is going in. They should just keep running sets for him. Stephen Curry getting it done for the Warriors, hitting three trays in the quarter, providing some sharp shooting. Time for a quick break, then back. All right, let’s take a look at our assist of the game presented by State Farm. Now, I know he’s a big man, but he’s got some point guard in him if he’s making passes like this. Yeah, well, this is the diversification of positions in this league. Everyone does everything now. And welcome back to our coverage of game three on 2K Sports. They’ve got Moses Moody, Jonathan Kaminga is out there with Gary Payton second. Then there’s Stephen Curry and it’s post in at the five. So that’s the group out there for Golden State. Basket’s good. That’s 29 for him. Well guys, I’m happy I’m not guarding Steph right now. On nights like tonight, Curry can do no wrong. Deenzo pass to Clark. Now Alexander Walker guarded by Payton. And here’s Clark for three. And it’s cleared by Stephen Curry. And so it’s Curry with it. He brings it up for Golden State. Kuminga down low. Working on Clark. Kuminga’s shot is off. Well, the Timberwolves shooting efficiently, 50% so far. Alexander Walker. The pass to Devenzo. Clark with a screen on Curry. Deinso against Curry. Here’s Edwards. The rebound by Post. That wasn’t a bad shot. Defense playing a little loose there. Sometimes it just doesn’t go in. And it’s almost like Curry’s motor never stops running. This is what forces defenders to overcommit. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. And the first one at the line is good. And you can tell being a leader comes naturally to Curry. He sets the tone out there and all his guys follow his lead. And so Curry nails both of them. Here is Devincenzo. Final quarter of play, about a minute and a half off the clock. Clark with it now. Guarded by Curry. Here’s Reed. And a foul called on the way up. So he’ll take two from the free throw line. Well, guarding Reed is hard. This guy is a big who can hit threes. He can drive the ball, beat you inside. So you have to track him all over the floor. He’s off on the first. Well, the biggest thing Nas Reed brings to your team, spacing. Reed can play the five and hit threes. There aren’t a lot of guys like him. And the second free throw is good. Final quarter here and we’re just over a minute and a half through it. Curry against Ienzo. Pass to Payton. Down low. Here’s Kuminga. No good there. Good D by Clark. Well, with his team leading, he might just want to put that one in his pocket next time. Alexander Walker. The pass to Clark. And here’s Alexander Walker. Cody defends. Called in by Curry. Curry’s got his fourth rebound in this one. 18 ft out. Yep, that one’s good. Curry’s got 33 points. Well, he’s been nothing short of fantastic this game and he has his team in a great spot as this thing winds down. Clark against Kaminga. Clark. The pass to Devincenzo. Clock at six. Pass to Reed. the three and Denenzo with a basket on the assist by Reed. Well, good recognition there from Reed to realize that his best decision was to move the ball. Here’s Post tries yet again. Oh, three chances on that possession, but they just can’t find a way to score. Clark finds Steven Chinszo. And here’s Edwards. Pass to Clark. Oh, and he got fouled on his way up. He’ll head to the line to shoot two. It’s going to be on Jonathan Kaminga. The first one falls. Pajimski’s checked in for the Warriors. Connley’s checked in for the Timberwolves. That one misses. So he goes one for two. You have to credit their effort. I mean, they’ve done an amazing job on the glass. Curry passes to Kaminga. Oh, good D by Edwards. Just imagine if he was shooting better, the lead would be even bigger. Clark outside. goes up and lays it in nice and easy. The coach loves seeing chances from that ray work that inside area outside. Curry inside and that one is hammered home. Great pass to hit him in stride. Love to see teammates in sync with each other. Heat. Heat. Minnesota has gone one for three in the fourth quarter from range. Denzo finds Clark. Reed a screen on Kaminga. Here’s Clark outside Reed. Here’s Edwards blanketed by the D. He fights to the rim for the layup. Just a ferocious play by Edwards taking the contact but staying committed to his finish. Connley against Curry and he’s going for the lob. Stolen by Reed. Now here’s Devenenzo. He’s closely guarded. Clark outside Edwards. There’s the triple. Good. Another from three and he’s letting it fly from long range to devastating effect and is now tied the franchise record for triples in a playoff game. Outside Kaminga lets the three fly that drops and it comes off an assist from Curry. Curry’s got seven assists in the game and both teams running long range plays that are working well. You know, it’s become a three-point shooting league. Teams shooting a steady diet from outside. Here’s Pajimski outside. Moody to the inside. Shot clock at five. Nice shot by Kuminga. Timberwolves trail by 20. Now Edwards the three. Kuminga pulls it in. Kuminga’s got his fourth rebound in this one. Pass to Curry. Elbow shot on the way. Reed with the rebound. Reed’s got his seventh rebound here tonight. The officials were right on top of that one. and he makes a first. Both teams will make substitutions. And Clark drops them both. The Warriors lead by 18 on the wing. Green outside. Curry puts up a three. And that one’s good. And Greening with the assist. Green’s got eight assists here tonight. When this guy starts hitting threes, watch out. He’s just pouring it on this half. Back to Connley. Three-pointer. sinks that one. Now shooting five of 10 and looking sharp. Right back at you. Connley’s a counter puncher. He knows when his team needs a lift. It’s Pajki on the wing guarded by Edwards. Outside heel. Green with a screen on Clark. Six to shoot. The put back controls the rebound and the put back. The ultimate team player. Green does all the little things that end up making a big difference. Connley looking for an opening. Connley, a screen on heel. Pass to Edwards. That one a tad offline, but it drops in for him. Edwards got 11 points here in the second half. Effective use of the mid-range there by Edwards. He’s a true three-level scorer. Here’s He Rudy Goar with a rebound. You won’t see him miss that one too many times. Yeah, it was a great look. Sometimes they don’t fall. You’ve just got to keep taking great shots. Connley finds Randall. Edwards with it. He’s covered by Curry. Clark outside. This one for three. Oh, it’s blocked by Green. a terrific position defender. Draymond can also challenge shots and protect the rim. Heel against Clark. Heel passes to Curry and the basket is good. Well, he has owned this quarter. A major reason they’re up right now. And the Timberwolves making a change here. McDaniels checked in. What’s up? It’s Connley with the ball for Minnesota. Pass to Edwards and the rebound goes to the Warriors. Here’s Heield. That drops and it comes off an assist from Curry. He’s got 21 points in the game. And a little contact never stops Heel, a committed scoreer who knows how to keep his balance on his shot. Connley passes to Edwards and he drops that one in. Edwards got 11 here in the quarter alone. Yeah, I really like when Edwards shows this kind of patience allowing the play to develop over time. McDaniels against heel. High post green back to Butler. That one no good. Good work defensively by Randall. Here’s Edwards and the whistle blows. It’s going to be on Anthony Edwards. That’s his third foul of the game. Just a superb read on defense to come up with a block. Yeah, this is the elevated energy level you expect in the postseason. Chasing down blocks and making an impact. The Warriors lead by 21. Now here’s Curry outside heel. Back to Curry. And the foul is called. He missed it. So he’s got a couple of free throws coming his way. Yeah. Fearless play from Curry inside going up against tough defense and getting fouled while shooting. First free throw is good. And so Curry nails both of them. The Timberwolves have gotten eight of 16 attempted shots to go here in the fourth. Back to Conley. outside Edwards. McDaniels against Heel. McDaniels. That’s good. A minute 50 left in the fourth. Outside Butler healed on the wing. Outside Pajki pass to Butler. Now Curry, he’s guarded by Connley. Good whistle there. And that one falls for Curry. And the Warriors will go with a different look here. Jackson Davis has checked in for Draymond Green. Jonathan Kaminga comes in for Jimmy Butler. Payton’s checked in for Heield. And Moody is subbed in for Pajki. And so Curry nails both of them. A minute 31 left in the final quarter. And that’ll wrap up game three. Now a look ahead towards an important game four for the Warriors. And the disparity in the talent was obvious by the end. Sometimes you just don’t have enough ammunition to compete. Yeah, BA just a total beatd down. And the next time these teams meet, I can’t imagine it’ll be any different. And even the opposing fans can’t deny this was a sensational game for Stephen Curry. Well, as a coach, it’s so fun to watch a player dominate the game offensively like he did in this one. Yeah. Another day, another virtuoso performance from Curry. It never ends. Outside McDaniels. There’s 48 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Outside, Edwards launches it, nails it from three.
