De’Andre Hunter SHOVES Bennedict Mathurin to ground for punch and Mathurin gets ejected
Donovan Mitchell back onto the floor after a very brief rest at the 432 mark of the quarter. And John goal gets Sam Merrill and DeAndre Hunter. But look out. Turner comes to the defense of Matan. Boy, you can see something brewing between those two the other night and that has spilled in and over here to game four. It is definitely getting chippy and and this is important to keep your head. We talk about the postseason being about who handles adversity best. Bottom left of your picture, boy, you can see Hunter. Boy, this going to be an interesting decision by the officials. Yeah, I I have seen players thrown out for less. And here’s Oh, right there. Right at the right of your picture. It’s under review. No doubt the officials will go back and see that part of the play. Those two were hit with double technicals the other night. They were jawing at each other. This was early in the series. Opening game, the hard collision. Math stepping over Hunter when he came down and injured that thumb. This was the other night. Quick double technicals. The joining Mark Davis quickly trying to diffuse the situation. So that thing has been boiling over right from the start of this series. And it’s going to be interesting to see how the officials view this cuz those are actually with malice is generally how you would look at it. Then you got Miles Turner coming over the shove from the back coming to the defense of his teammate. And you would expect that they’re going to go cuz you pointed it out. There was an initial fracus underneath the basket in that possession that led to Hunter retaliating. Rick Carile had to be held back by his assistants. He started drawing at the officials just now. Again, our crew tonight, John Goal, Kevin Scott, Curtis Blair, Brent Barnicki is our alternate. And in the replay center, Justin Van Dy and Zack Zar tonight. [Applause] Again, Hunter took contact right there. That kind of a little bit of a a I don’t want to say a punch, but the extension of the right arm from Matin. DeAndre Hunter is a pretty mildmannered guy. For him to respond like that, you knew there something had to happen. But even if something happens, if you’re DeAndre Hunter, you can’t respond like that. After the personal foul, there’s a dead ball contact by Matin where he extends a close-handed fist into the sternum of Hunter. He’s being assessed a playground foul penalty too for this act. Hunter is being assessed a technical foul for the push to Matin and a technical foul on Turner as well. Benson passes over the basketball. So Benedict Matin flagrant two is ejected and technicals assessed to both DeAndre Hunter and that they’re deeming that a punch and this is retaliation. I I will say I’m shocked that they didn’t eject Hunter, but what a huge break there for the Cleveland Cavs. Yeah, that last replay we showed they clearly extended there. [Applause] That’s the Andre Hunter looking in the direction of Benedict Matthew to the announcement. We documented it. They have had issue all series long and that’s part of what happens. You know, these are divisional rivals. There’s a history between these two organizations, but that’s also a significant loss if you’re Rick Carlile and the Pacers. Benedict Mathan starter, 48 games this year, averaged better than 16 points per game. Such a huge loss now for Rick Carile. Remember, Matin missed their postseason run to the conference finals last year with that shoulder injury.

Mathurin was playing for betting companies.
Toxic ass*ole. I assume, that BM will ends his adventure with NBA soon
Mathurin face and expressions says it all. Hunter looks innocent here, I see this faces in the hood all day we can tell who's the one! Smh
Was that a finger strike to his rib cage?
Good god, what a horrific call. The lightest of taps is ejection, getting shoved to the floor is two free throws?
When u think NBA cant get any softer
The best highlight in East .
Bro was damn near in a missionary position ๐
Mathurin. Sucker punches then runs away. Such a filthy, cowardly, gay act…
THAT IS A NORMAL SHOVE?????. Nba whats wrong with you
That wasnโt a punch hunter soft. Didnโt score after that ๐๐๐
Kayo nga lang mag kamukha nag away pa kyo. Hahaha
Cavs the most overhyped regular season champs ๐๐๐ yall deserve the gentlemenโs sweep for hunters soft ahh!!!!๐๐๐๐๐๐
This is a fair ruling from the refs for a change. The instigator should be penalized more, but the problem is, that's the first time I see it. In ALL of the other incidents the refs just give equal penalties to both sides regardless.
He barely tapped him and then Hunter pulls a Lebron type flop.
Mathurin is from Hyuga Clan
Mathurin is a dirty and sneaking player. You can see in his eyes.
Didnt dillon brooks do the same thing to curry while running back to defense. There was no fuckin calls for that
The fa t that Matherin was ejected, and hunter wasn't, is an absolute crime.
Who handles handles adversity best? Thats a question of the refs..anything not basketball is a foul..so its bs, not adversity a cheapshot is expulsion..if matherin let it go the refs wud too…stop the gimmick show..play ball.trying to be another dremond green….who is a joke..its not basketball just a distraction from the weaker player to resort to phisical mind gms..totally unnecessary…& stupid.. refs tried to let it go.
From his rookie season it was obvious that Mathurin is a piece of sheet. The boy has issues.
I've seen all angles of this moment now, and that was not a punch let's be real. I mean yes there was force on the hand but he was attempting to create separation of course there would be force on his shove. I see people are saying he hit a very delicate spot that easily causes a reflux, now I've been punched before and people rarely go for the chest, but when they do it usually takes a decent hit to actually take the wind out of you much less hit a tissue in there, Mathurin had like an inch of windup available before making impact. Does that mean he did that on purpose? For the shove I think it's obvious that he did that on purpose, but to say he was looking to take the wind out of Hunter and precisely hit the spot to move something internally, with an open hand as well cause he clearly did not make a fist, with only like an inch of windup available before making impact, I'd say that's much harder to justify.
Mathurin is a punk, remember when Giannis tried to congratulate him and he bragged and got into his face
