Well, that was quite the throttling, wasn’t it? Wake up, man. Sorry. Wake up. Wake up, man. Show. We got a lot of TV to do, man. That was a What was that? A a Shapper said, that was a blowout. Jeez, there are lots of words for it. You definitely could go could have gone to sleep on that one. Oh my goodness. Some of us may have in the second half. You could have went to sleep. You could have went to sleep in the first half. Yeah. Oh, come on. It’s Playoff Central Live presented by AT&T. That’s Brendan Haywood 3D Dennis Scott. I’m Matt Winer. You’re you. good to have you with us. Um, thanks for sticking it out. Yeah. Wow. A 20point blowout that wasn’t even that close. In fact, the two most relevant stories from this game right now, aside from the outcome, were the first quarter scuffle that led to the ejection of Benedict Matan after a a sucker punch, but maybe not a real punch. Whatever it was, it was closed. That’s what if if it had been if it had been that way, it could have been, but it didn’t feel like a pull on punch. Um, it wasn’t to to the law, man. He didn’t wind up and really back and punch him. One of those He did hit him in the chest cuz you could see Hunter’s reaction and he didn’t see it coming. That’s not a flop, that’s a reaction. Correct. Cuz he popped him in the chest. Right. And to our fans, while DeAndre Hunter pointed at his temples that he retaliated with the push with two hands versus if his hands would been closed, he’d been ejected as well. Right. You you got a foul, you got an ejection, you got a technical foul. But I was about to say that was the the one most interesting thing. The second, of course, is the mystery injury that Donovan Mitchell apparently suffered that kept him out the entirety of the second half. And you’ve probably seen the video by now, but uh he played the entire first half. Well, not the entire first half. He played the first half, didn’t leave the game with any apparent injury, came out to warm up for the third quarter, suddenly felt something and apparently couldn’t put weight on his left foot. The Cavaliers described it as a left ankle injury and he was done for the night and status unknown moving forward and there’s no reason to speculate. We have no idea what happened to him, but it’s just another subplot in a horrible night if you’re a Cavaliers fan. It’s just been a horrible series for the Cavaliers as far as from an injury standpoint. You start the season out, I mean to start the series out, there’s no Garland, then Moley misses time. Now we don’t know what the health of Donovan Mitchell is. He was been the consistent for the Cavs throughout in this series and now we don’t know what his availability will be for a very important game for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Obviously in Cleveland um down 3-1. So it’s it’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out. Just a catastrophic evening in Indianapolis. Maybe Kenny Atkinson has an update on Mitchell’s condition. He’s at the podium in Indie. Here we go. Got it right. Here we go. What can you tell us about Donovan? Um left ankle um left ankle injury. Um he’ll get a MRI tomorrow. So obviously there’s just not much more you can say as far as availability or I mean no idea. I mean you know obviously he couldn’t go in the second half. So um see what the MRI says. And I imagine this would be one of those games where you don’t watch much of the the film. Um but what happened in the first half they just got away from I mean complete domination by them is really it’s kind of the story um kind of in every facet. It wasn’t like oh you know tactics or anything involved. They they dominated us um in every facet of the game and that’s what you get a you know 20 point game or really 30 point game. Kenny, how did Donovan hurt his ankle? I am not exactly sure. Um and then we’ve talked about force and that I think is kind of what you’re getting at with the first half wasn’t there. Why did you think you guys didn’t have that tonight? They dominated with their force. They were, they raised their game to another level and we we didn’t match it. We we you know, we talked about it. We knew it was coming. Um I don’t know. Um you try to prepare for these things. You try to prepare your guys mentally, but um for whatever reason, they they like I said, they were at another level. Their force was um um greater in every sense. Every there wasn’t like well this aspect or rebound. I thought it was rebounding. um you know, physicality. We were running our offense at at half court. You know, they had us they had us pushed out, couldn’t get to our spots. Um it was really kind of physical, you know, physical domination. What was the message going into halftime? Obviously, it’s a shell shocking feeling. Listen, you you you know I I I let’s you know pride, you know, um compete. Um composure because I didn’t want it or didn’t want it to be about the referees, you know, it’s it’s not about that. Um you know, so wanted our guys to keep our composure, compete with class, right? Um and then, you know, stay together. That was basically the message. And and on the positive note, DG definitely found a little bit of a rhythm there. Yeah, that was something that can Yeah, you know um obviously um few guys, you know, got minutes that they normally get didn’t get to, you know, ice looked good good there. So, um hey, listen, you know, we got two out of the three next games at home. You know, if you you know, that’s we’re great at home. Um got to get the next one. See if we can come back here for for game six. Yeah. Talking about Darius for a minute, I guess I I was wondering with the score being what it was at half. I thought with the toe, maybe he doesn’t play the second half, but you play him and he ends up with 21. Yeah. I asked him. I said, “You tell me like, you know, we, you know, we got to think about, you know, game five.” And he wanted to go, he want he wanted to get his rhythm, which I completely understand. I think he felt felt better. I thought he was moving better. Um, so that’s a real positive. Hopefully we get Donovan back. Uh, like I said, you go get um go get game five and you’re back here for game six. What did you think of um everything that happened with with Matin and and Hunter? Listen, I I just that’s not why I’m in this league. I’m not in it for the the the fights and the and the pushing and and the punches. I don’t I don’t, you know, I I I just don’t I don’t I don’t think it I love that, you know, about the you know, if that’s that’s the direction it goes. Um, I was just telling our guys, keep our composure. You know, you got to be above. You get punched, you got to be above, right? You got to kind of turn the other cheek. I’ve been told Dre, I said, Dre, you you know, don’t react. It’s hard. It’s hard. But they obviously came out with a an intent, a a physicality intent. And um, but I did for the most part, Joe. I think we we kept our composure. Um, you know, um, but listen, this is this is like Dan said, this is a game about force and they were they were just much more forceful in every aspect. Anything else? All right, thanks so much. It was quick for Kenny Atinson like the more heat. Wonderful. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Let’s Heat. Heat. Many for heat. Okay, thank you. Go dance, you know. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat.

  1. New York Knicks need to take notes from Indiana. It's game 4 and we are do for blowout game at home this what I call showing them the doors.

  2. Whoever runs the Cavs twitter page is so cringe, towards the end of the 2nd quarter they posted a vid of Mitchell making a layup and captioned it "The paint is Spida's playground" 😂While the Cavs were getting stomped and Mitchell was 3 for 11

  3. This shoulda been the nail in the coffin …now we have to go back to Cleveland…shoulda won both home games and sealed the deal…
